Our favourite Chinese locally! Lovey people and the smoked shredded chicken is sooooo good! Haven’t been for a while due to healthier lifestyle choices, however I may well this weekend!

The best Chinese I have ever had. I had crispy chilli beef, the sizzling beef in black bean sauce was like a fillet stak absolutely amazing

Absolutely revolting ,food was bland,undercooked and doughy, the sweet 'n sour sauce was watered down, my prawn toast was missing, my main couse had no flavour or seasoning,an absolute rip off for what i paid... the chinese takeaway on the high street serves way better food and better quality and the food is cooked through....

Went in at 7.45pm....I asked for 8.15pm collect and lad said yes that's fine....arrived back then and waited till 8.30pm was then told will be ready in half hour!!!! Absolute joke and waste of time... Went Kanton virtually next door...ready in 10 minutes and was spot on. Need to sort themselves out before it closes....so disappointed and wasn't the only one left waiting in there

Quick service, brilliant food, very kind staff

A great family run restaurant with friendly staff, delicious food, and a lovely atmosphere.

I would recommend to try it out with dining in. Food served beautifully, great atmosphere and delicious food. Love it!

Prices have increased massively and the food has gone downhill. My order was £20 (40%) more than the prices I have from a menu that is less than a year old. The food wasn't as good as previous times I've been and was cheap meat, definitely won't be going back.

The crispy shredded beef didn't come from a cow in a million years, whatever it was, it wasn't nice. A shame as the duck was good. Expensive, over £15 for a quarter of duck.

Satay Chicken looked like it had been cooked at least the day before. It was hard and dry!! None of the food was particularly hot .

It's a great place been there for years and feels not big and commercial which is why it perfect for date night to family get togethers ... and the food is as special and as tasty as always ... Really enjoyed it with family and the service and staff and most importantly the food was amazing 10/10 going back again soon 😁👌

Dissopointed chicken balls were as if not completely cooked and the curry sauce was a strange colour, all in all horrible will not be going back, shame really it used to be very very nice

Used Dragon Pearl for many years for takeaway. Just phoned through an order this evening and the man who took the order was beyond rude. You will lose a lot of custom whilst you continue to let this person represent your business by answering the phone. You’ve certainly lost my custom.

Food was disappointing, everything tasted bland. Hot and sour soup was tasteless, chow mein was better but sweet and sour had very little flavour.

Had a selection of dishes.....was all very disappointing and actually threw most of it away..... Gone from one of the best in the area to one of the worse now. Shame, won't be going back for a long time.....

Haven't been to dragon pearl for years. Honestly I wish I hadn't. It's too expensive and kind of run down. The recent years have been hard, clearly.

well thought i would get a takeway from here, always been good in the past. staff all good . chips , dried out and reheated kak spring rolls mimi ,, like the ones from iceland mushroom chow mein lack lustre sweet and sour souce , watered down. think i will give it a pass. Has it been taken over or something ?

Just ordered ; duck was not crispy it was burnt. Spring rolls over cooked. Gravy tasteless. And the duck with mushroom was greasy and had no taste. Really felt it was heading back to its best, but then this happens. £12 for burnt duck is scandalous!

Went for a meal there last night had the set meal for 2 (G) on menu when it came to the aromatic duck & pancakes there was no spring onions or cucumber or hosin sauce to go with it ...we waited awhile thinking they would bring it to us but no i had to ask for it ....they had forgotten about it...but then brought us some ...duck & pancakes where cold by then. The food is nice though....decor & seating filthy with black dust sitting inside the button cushioned seating that you rest you back on & generally dirty seating ...this place has gone down hill sorry to say & also getting more expensive we didn't have a pleasurable experience there last night.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was a little oily and the portions were noticeably smaller than other restaurants.

Decent food, able to pay by debit card (which I like). No delivery unfortunately, but food is always prepared promptly.

Visited with a group of friends 6 of us in total. Lovely food we had the preset menu to share between four of us and two had a separate shared menu. It was definitely worth the money plenty of food for us all and a lovely waitress that met all our requests. Service couldn’t be faulted.

Nice food, flavoured but not overly spiced, Friendly people. Portions are not large, so less wastage. Prices are not high compared with other takeaways in the area. Prawn cracker bags are very small, (half the size of other takeaways).

6 of us ate here on a Sunday evening to celebrate my son’s 17th birthday, being new to the area we weren’t sure what to expect. We were delighted! The waitress, although busy with another large table and also training someone, was attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. We couldn’t fault anything. Will definitely come again :)

Had a fab meal here tonight, had the set meal £25 a head, there is cheaper versions, but we treated ourselves. Food was spot on, tasty and plentiful. They looked after my 6 year olds needs also. Would we go back again, without a doubt, yummy

There was a fly constantly flying nearby became an annoyance was skillfully caught told the person serving its in the serviette so can be removed ... tissue stayed on the table for the duration of the meal ... had quarter duck cold ... the duck was bland the pancakes were like paper and cold ... not an enjoyable meal ... the sole server was distant not pleasant... did not deserve a tip from our table ... not a restaurant I'm likely to ever visit again .... bad end to a mostly enjoyable weekend ... probably didn't do my research properly before heading towards this godforsaken place ... so clearly my fault ... didn't like it at all ... no atmosphere

Excellent food as always very pleasant staff.

Came to this restaurant last year and the food was really good. Tonight I have to say that we were very disappointed with our meal. We ordered chicken satay to start and the chicken was under cooked. We asked for it to be replaced with chicken cooked more but it came back under cooked. Then we both had chicken for the main course and it was still under cooked. Maybe that explains why the restaurant was almost empty.

Absolutely dreadful food. I live 3 minutes away and was 5 minutes early to pick the food up. By the time I got back it was stone cold and had to be heated in the microwave. Obviously it had been sitting for a while. The sauce for the sweet and sour was horrible and the pork had fat in it, the chillies must have still been growing as there was no hint of chilli in the shredded beef. The veg curry was mainly mushrooms with one tiny piece of cauliflower. The chow mein had been burnt - I can still smell that. It was all inedible and ended up in the bin. If you want to waste money put it on the lottery instead - at least that way you have a chance to get some money back. Even if you are desperate avoid this place at all costs!

Absolutely Delicious! Highly recommend! The chicken chow mein is very tasty, with the chicken being nice and tender. The sweet & sour chicken balls taste lovely too, the nice crispy batter shell being the highlight. Chips are really good too and the mini spring rolls as a side dish are top notch! Again the batter being the best part! So fresh and tasty! You also get a free bag of prawn crackers thrown in, which again are delicious. We only needed to order 1 of everything aswell, as every portion is enough for two! Definitely recommend this chinese!

Always good food and service for the takeaway. Chicken chow mien is the best and their crispy chilli beef is well good.

This is the 4th time we have tried here, once restaurant and three times takeaway. I have honestly NEVER been anywhere with such slow service. It would be good if you’re having to quarantine because by the time you’re served, your quarantine would have finished! I like to give places the benefit of the doubt, but with such a lack of competition in Holbeach then I guess that working at a snail’s pace is accepted. My custom has been lost for good now.

The dragon pearl is very nice. The food was very good but the surroundings a bit dated but then you look past that your there for the food.

We were camping locally for the weekend and booked a table, rather than getting takeaway. Initially we thought the decor was a little dated, but really don’t let this put you off, the food was excellent! Easily the best Chinese food we’ve had in a very long time. We had 3 mains, rice, chips and drinks and the bill came to £33, which we felt was brilliant for the quality. Staff lovely, restaurant clean and sanitised for Covid. Can’t fault it at all, just a shame it’s 100 miles away from home or we’d be back more often! Thanks!

It was ok ..nothing special and some dishes a little watery. Sauce needs to be thicker ..food was hot though and fast service for pick up.

Good food, reasonable prices and friendly service. We ate in the restaurant, which looks a little dated, but it doesn't reflect on the quality, choices and taste of the food.

After not being able to get into another local Chinese on the A17, we decided to go here instead. We were not disappointed- food was incredible! Everything was cooked brilliantly, it all tasted fresh - and we got to take away what we couldn’t eat. I’m thinking we will try here in future rather than the all you can eat in Gedney. We actually ended up spending less and had take away too!

Takeaway as usually to busy for the restaurant

Had a takeaway. Chicken noodle soup, no noodles in it, two very small pieces of chicken, a few mushrooms and pieces of cucumber, dishwater flavour, disgusting! Also had sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, again disgusting, no flavour watered down sauce, rubber dried up chicken. Wish I could rate at - 5 stars. Stay away from this place.

First time eating there tonight for the wife's birthday. What lovely food. Quick service, hot very clean tasty food, and what a great price. Will definitely go back.

Very nice food and good value for money would definitely recommend and return. Just changing my review as I have found out from a reliable source that the tips you leave are kept by the owners and not shared with the hardworking staff this is not acceptable

Not great, waited ages for small portions of average food.

Food was yummy and hot, and so much that the meal for two people was too much for us to finish. The background music is barely there and the table layout, booth style, is cosy and comfortable. The bill amounted to nearly £40 including one drink but without a tip, so it can be a bit pricey, but we had a set meal and more careful and selective choosing from the main menu should reduce this considerably and there would still be plenty to eat.

Excellent food best curry ive had for long time

Had a take out tonight and was really looking forward to it unfortunately it was not good, hot and sour soup had no taste what do ever, curries where bland, chips cold and the pancake roll tasted off and didn't smell good, sorry Dragon Pearl but it was not nice.

My favourite restaurant in Holbeach. Best of the best service.

We visited here for lunch. The food was hot, tasty and large portions. We definitely will return another time

Didn't enjoy my visit for my wife's birthday . The food was awful, greasy main course , warm starters , soup was at least hot but tasteless . The coke was warm and flat , my daughter's Archers and lemonade just tasted of flat lemonade.Until this place gets it's act together I will take my custom else where .Its a real shame as this place used to have a good reputation .

Fantastic food and good value for money.

If you you eat in or decide to collect and have at home the D&P is the place to choose, we had a large party here recently and the service and food was very good. Not sure what has happened to the other customers who have poor experience I can only report on what I find.(I'm always honest) For example the mixed starters has been good, selection of dishes of mains were served hot, good flavour mix of flavours.

We've had takeaway from here a number of times in the last couple of years but last night was the last. Really awful, brown food, oily and unpleasant. Nothing in it was fresh and the only vegetables on show were onions and a couple of tiny button mushrooms - even in the green pepper and black bean sauce. Spare ribs were grey, fatty and deep fried, ugh. Worst were the king prawns which were the oddest texture like they were undercooked. Tried sticking them ina frying pan to cook them through but the texture didn't change. Revolting, threw them away. Waste of money, wished we'd had fish and chips at a third of the price. Lazy lazy cooking.

Have been visiting this place for last 20 years but in the last few years it's slowly started the fall off which is the most extreme shame . Still it does have great parking and is a pleasant place to go to just the food has gone down hill some long way

Chinese normally bursts with flavour, this Chinese is the school canteen of Chinese’s. If you want bland tasteless food I would totally recommend it, if flavour is what you want steer clear. Very poor.

We have been using this restaurant since we moved here 10 years ago and it does not matter if you in or take away the service is good friend and the food is excellent. Helen and Steve at front of house always ensure a good reception. The kitchen staff always but always send out excellent food. the food it hot, tasty and full of the flavours you would expect. The beef dishes are really good and no chewy beef. The shared starter is good value for money with a great selection of dishes without being too much to enjoy the rest of your meal. Recommend booking on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Hope you enjoy your meal as much as we do. :-)

Always a relaxing, enjoyable experience.

I met up with some friends here recently. I asked for something that wasn't on the menu and they very kindly made it for me. The place has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming and polite.

A very nice Chinese as it has private booths for dining, food excellent, service is good and we always have a really nice time here. We recommend this to anybody in the area and often take friends here.

I love the food here great service and never had a problem with the food. Only downside is that they don't have a delivery service .
