Shampaan in Thurrock

This is our regular Indian, eating here / takeaway most weeks. The quality of the food is amazing, while my wife sticks with her favourite meal, I tend to have something different most weeks. The service and attentiveness of the staff is outstanding, with always a warm welcome. Asad ensures we are never disappointed.

Every single time we visit the Shampaan we are treated like king and queens the service is the best we have Experienced and that’s why we go back time and time again the food is unbelievable they cannot do enough for you anything you want they will go above and beyond for you Fantastic restaurant and will always be out favourite Indian you will not regret eating here

lovely vibrant colours to excite the eye, excellent crunch on the bhajis, great service, attentive and comedically engaging staff, low price, great flavours, naan cut up for convenience, excellent pace of the evening! 😃👌🏻

EXCELLENT AS ALWAYS I have eaten at Shampaan several times after recommendation. Each time that I have eaten here the food and service has been excellent. Highly recommended place.

Rude waiters who seem to not want to serve you, greasy overpriced food that made us ill. They can’t keep other customers under control either, rowdy and loud. You’re in a restaurant not a zoo?! Lazy management. Wouldn’t return if you paid me to. There are far better Indian restaurants in Thurrock.

Top local Indian! Excellent tasty food. This stretch of London road has all the best takeaways... Don't eat Indian food as much as other takeaways but it makes for a lovely treat when we do

I wouldn’t recommend ordering delivery from this place. We ordered at 5.30 PM and at 7.10 PM we still hadn’t received our delivery. So we called the restaurant and they said it had been delivered. The guy on the phone was so rude and arrogant and hushed us off by saying “i don’t know. Call deliveroo. It says it was delivered nothing we can do”

£4.95 for 2 cut up cubes of chicken tikka and £5.50 for 3 miserly “prawn” spring roles which had NO hint of prawn! Horrendous!

Visited this place on a saturday, was a busy night to visit but service was quick and food was swift. They have your usual assortment of drinks you can find at restaurants, other than the alcohol everything else was halal which wss very good. The staff was able to facilitate the food to my fafamily's spice levels. My favourite was the shampaan special king prawns and the tandori chicken. Prices are good for the big portions they give compared to other places I've been to in London. Would recommend giving the place a go if you are around the area probably after a shop at lakeside.

Was a very nice sit down for the family, we ordered quite a bit of food that came in a timely manner and very delicious. The service was responsive and excellent. Food was very good would recommend ordering a Biryani was one of the highlight meals we had. Would recommend a visit if you want a casual sit down curry with the family. Will visit again soon.

Our family regularly order food from shampaan but tonight we found a human fingernail in the food!!!!! GROSS!!! My sister took a mouthful of her chicken korma and spat out someone’s nail!!!! We called the restaurant and they was very dismissive, reported to Uber eats shampaan offered to bring a new one out but it completely put the family off eating the rest!!! Waste of £50 on food nobody could eat !! Ordering from Captain korma from now on only!!!

Can't believe I've never given a review for Shampaan! A+! Me and the wife have been going here for 6 years now and when people visit we always take them here to show them the best Indian food around! The staff are always friendly and welcoming, atmosphere is warm and cosy, along with Indian music and lights around the ceiling. Anyway.... The food! We just can fault it. I always try a different starter and always enjoy it. On Sunday they do a great deal, £14.95 which includes a starter, main, side and rice from 13:00-16:00hrs. Chef specials and seafood included but at an additional cost. We always have to ask for takeaway boxes and we just can't finish the meals but don't wanna waste them. Provided with hot towels from packets at the end and offered a complimentary small spirit at the end - always like the touch when it's offered. There's a s dessert menu that we try to squeeze in but really isn't possible every time. There's a decent sized car park round the back but also free street parking if you can find it. This is our favourite Indian restaurant and even when we move we'll definitely keep coming back!

Great place, good food, service was great if a tad slow.

Restaurant itself is lovely and always a nice experience. But home DELIVERY is appalling. 4-5 x now I have ordered beer with my curry, only for the curry to arrive, but no beer. The restaurant seem unphased at the fact when you are ordering a curry with a beer, you want to have them together! I have to call each time and they never offer a refund, it’s always a redelivery of the missed beer some time later

Enjoyed our meal and the service provided with it .the food is well presented with plenty of meat in both lamb and chicken dishes. The inside decor is lovely and service is top notch with a complementary drink to finish . The bill was £25 a head , about average . All in all we’ll no doubt be back

Asked where he'd like to go for his birthday dinner our son had only one choice in his mind. Shampaan! We don't get to visit as often as we'd like, our wastes probably thank us though. As we always eat every last morsel. The food is delicious, the staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is always great.

Took my daughter here for her birthday meal, the food was amazing, the service was outstanding, king who was attending us that evening, even gave my daughter a free ice cream cake as it was her birthday. Such a wonderful local restaurant highly recommend!!

Really enjoyed our meal! Can absolutely recommend the chicken Balti and the sizzler appetizer (taster of some of their bbq items). Butter naan was fantastic as well. We didn’t enjoy the butter chicken (but that was no big deal). Service was excellent.

Had my partners birthday meal here. The food was good as always. Excellent service by king and nice touch with a little sing along happy birthday and cake. All staff as always tentative and loverly.

Absolutely loved this place! Came in a huge group and Staff were so welcoming and friendly. The service was amazing! Great customer service and attentive to customers needs. The food was sooo delicious and they accommodated to our tastebuds and knew exactly what we would like!!! Definitely will be coming back.

Stale poppadoms, king prawn teriyaki was not edible, and neither was the other dishes my party had. Waitied over 30mins for our last drinks and was only served them as we got up to leave.Bad service, bad food, 👎

Went with family, food was great, service was excellent and their best dish I would say it’s the lamb vindaloo. Being Bengali/Asian who eats curry nearly everyday, I would high recommend this place. It’s Only five mins away from lakeside shopping mall.

Delicious food. A lot variety to choose from. Great food very friendly staff. Especially Mr Faruk very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere. ( you can tell the preference of food and they will make accordingly. A lot of vegetarian options and even some of the meet ones can be made vegetarian. Overall great food, friendly staff and overall very good experience.

Food was very poor quality. all the dishes taste the same. You can't tell if your got a curry or jhall frazee. But the staff were very friendly, they tried to make it right. The food was not good enough. Thank you anyway.

My favourite Indian, been here for years and always ask for Faruk. Brilliant waiter Faruk makes amazing the best drinks they’re amazing. Now in my 13th year of coming here

Es war ein Genuß für die Augen, den Geruch und dem Geschmack. Das Essen ist sooooooo lecker. Die Kellner sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Ich bin einfach nur begeistert und war deshalb drei Abende in Folge dort essen.

Amazing Indian one of the best in the area

Great evening celebrating my birthday. Lovely surprise when I walked in. The owner and staff had decorated the table, Food was and always is lovely, there were 9 of us all had different dishes some are vegetarians some only eat fish. The salmon is amazing my favourite. first class service, the waiters go out of their way to accommodate I would recommend Shampaan to everyone. You won't be disappointed. Prices are very good,

Best Indian in thurrock, King theruk (don’t know how to spell it sorry) always goes above and beyond to serve us great hospitality even pulled a surprise birthday cake and candle for us , we are always greated and treated like valued customers. They are all amazing with our children doesn’t complain or treat us different if there is a mess. Thankyou to all the staff and chefs at shampann it’s always the best. Chefs kiss 😘

Just had a delivery from a very friendly chap, my son and i had a selection of dishes, everyone was superb, they tasted very fresh, and were cooked to perfection. i would highly recommend Shampan, if you are looking for a top class Indian meal ,at a very good price
