Excellent Indian in the heart of Little Lever.

Was a takeaway so atmosphere doesn't count.. However, the food was okay, too much sauce, which was thin. This sounds petty, but the yogurt sauce that came with 2 sides was absolutely shocking. Why one small tub and why thin it down to a watery texture and add sweetener? No need to skimp on the little bit is there?

Great place for a meal, had to wait a while to get served, great food and atmosphere.

Went for the Sunday set menu. It was really good. Fast, friendly service with a smile. My daughter loved her curry!

Lovely food tonight but felt really cheated that some people were given a Wednesday night specials menu and some were not, including ourselves. A bit sneaky to be honest. If you have an offer on every Wednesday it should be offered to ALL paying guests. Won't be returning due to this.

This was the first time I’ve ever visited and was really impressed, we ordered to takeaway and have to say the whole experience ranging from ordering to collecting to getting it home and eating was brilliant. Staff were top notch and we were honestly blown away with our food. The quality and quality of it was just fantastic and it all tasted absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

We came for Christmas lunch yesterday, quite a large party of us and we were very disappointed from start to finish, we were very rushed throughout the meal no break in between each course the food was very average a, and for the price we paid we were very disappointed to say the least and found a couple of the waiters very rude and abrupt at times.

Had a lovely dinner. The service was great and the food was lovely. I would definitely go again.

I've previously visited this establishment a number of times and never had a bad meal. I've also had great service in the past. However, tonight was just a disaster on the service front. Admittedly, we were a large table of 13 which can be difficult to navigate and grace is offered in that regard. From the minute we were there, questions we were being asked about why we had spread across a 4 seater table next to our table arrangement of 12. Despite my attempts to explain this, the server looked dreadfully confused that 13 were dining and 1 babyseat required (which there weren't any available). The whole process of ordering drinks and food was frankly disastrous. Receiving the food was equally as much of a nightmare. Firstly, portion sizes have been cut in half, that is no exaggeration. Secondly, numerous people were left without their correct order. Thirdly, a waiter tried to serve a mixed grill without a plate in front of me. He then proceeds to knock over my beer in front of me. He offers me another but doesn't think to bring a towel over so I proceeded to eat my food from a plate sat in a lagoon of lager. One eating my half portioned food which was lacking any flavour, I went to pay my bill separately. The waiter challenged me several times about how many bottles of Corona I had. The answer I gave was 1. The same 1 that had been spilled all over the table. The same 1 that was recorded on the bill yet he was persistent in asking how many I had. I asked him whether he was calling me a liar. He said he was trying to understand. So. I looked at the bartender and asked whether he understood what I meant when I stated I'd had 1 beer. He understood, yet the server still looked puzzled. I was quite frankly offended and used plenty of choice language. I hope this was a bad one off experience. Shahbaaz clearly needs a manager on shift or servers who are able to work in an environment with large tables. The restaurant wasn't even particularly busy as it often is. I dined with a large group at Armaan in Radcliffe on a Friday evening two weeks ago and didn't have a single issue like those raised above. Do better.

The shashlik was very good . Karhi not bad but lacked flavour some what , requested very hot and it wasn't hot at all , diet coke i think was served from a bottle and tasted like it went flat days ago and was lukewarm .not great accompanying a curry. Overall food still good but seems not as good as it used to be.

Didn't use the restaurant but did use the takeaway and from ordering to picking up the service was top class. Food was hot and delicious. Can't recommend enough..

Visited on a Wednesday and had the amazing £12-95 set menu. The food was excellent and there was a really good choice. Will be back.

Fantastic curries, excellent service, will definitely be back

A few chairs were painted white over cream leather it was like a time warp tbh going in there felt like you had travelled back in time. Luckily I was with my family so we had great fun .

First visit here and will be last. Waiters not friendly or responsive, only head waiter had a smile or any sort of attentiveness. The waiter started by spilling pint of beer he decided to put down between my cutlery. Instead of changing table covering he put down another cloth knapkin and left my beer covered cutlery. The spicy dishes with poppadoms were nice. My starters of Chicken Pakorers were very poor. About a quarter of them were as I used to call scrumps batter with nothing in them and they were greasy. The main meal was OK. The Men's Toilet drying machine was not working with no temporary paper towels to dry your hands. Having owned a Cafe for many years I noticed the extractor fan was clogged with dirt. To not tend to your Toilets in this Manor shows little care from Management to Clients.

We had a family takeaway from here recently and it was top notch Chicken Balti, chicken tikka biryani , chicken tikka massalla , mushroom rice , garlic naan and chips All of these were lovely and hot and large portions of which we couldn’t finish it It was still hot when we got it home The only thing we weren’t happy with was we ordered 4 poppadoms with a chutney tray , and all we got were the poppadoms and one tiny onions and one tiny mango chutney ?? How is that enough for 4 people as a chutney ‘tray ‘ ?

First time back here since the early 90's Still pretty much the same. No decor changes as far as I can see, but no need. Still very cosy. Friendly staff, no noisy clientele. Good parking. Will definitely go again.

Pleasant little restaurant with its own small car park. Sampled the Wednesday menu and impressed with the selection and the price.

Food is good but the service is poor. Waited ages for first drinks, then even longer between courses. Waited for more drink and then went to the bar to get them but was told to sit down and someone will take the order. Good food shame about the service.

very poor visit, starters only ok, main course very poor, cold, although one was a 'sizzler'!!! we complained, the owner? manager came and took food away, returned, but no different, still cold, think the dishes had been left on the side, and forgotten about. We complained again, the manage came along, gathered all the dishes, everything, included the wine we were drinking, he told us to get out now and don't come back!!!

Waiter didn't have much time for us and didn't really want to give any advice on dishes as I wanted a change from my usual CTM. The pakora starter was very dry so I left the full plate. The waiter didn't say anything even when he looked straight at it before taking away. I paid in full. The main dishes we chose on our own were really tasty.

Shocking service would never visit again. Upon arrival they didn’t have our booking and couldn’t accommodate us sitting together. The waiter was rude upon taking drinks order when asked what gin do you do his response was “ have you even looked at the menu”. We waited ages for our food order to be taken and they got wrong. The food arrived and was served to the wrong plate with the wrong side sauce given . The quality of the food was rubbish The restaurant itself needs s tidy up it’s dated and old dirty looking. The selection of wine wasn’t great unless the waiter was just being unhelpful and couldn’t be arsed telling us what the selection was.

Had the lamb with spinach - not hot but very tasty. It was busy but not too busy. Really good.

Staff are so regimented & non smiley in this place! You basically get barked at by the waiters with no personality at all. People were being given the wrong takeaways and people had missing meals sat in the restaurant. This was early on also. At least 2 of the meals were barely Luke warm as if they had been waiting for a while and the garlic naan arrived when 2 of us had finished ! Took ages to get the bill and it was full of scribbling out and not even added up !! Poor tonight

Bought food from here last night and me my partner and son have been ill all night I've been being sick, my partner feels sick and can't get off the toilet and my son is the same my other 2 boys who ate elsewhere have been fine very disappointed that I literally paid £24 to be ill

Had a delicious meal with a few friends here over the weekend. Food was fresh and delicious. I had the fish pakora to start which melted in the mouth! Would definitely visit again.

After visiting here today I found the alcohol over priced and and under measured by the pint, service seemed very stretched on what seemed a light guest number, and the fact that we payed to eat a mediocre indian in a tap room environment is ludicrous, I feel sorry for the family with children having to listen to the profanity coming from a table of guests, that where not challenged on this by the staff. I would not recommend and will definitely not be visiting again ever. You have been warned.

Great fresh food served in timely manner also your not rushed, relaxing atmosphere and excellent service. There are offers on through the week and Sundays so don't forget to check them out menu is great a good selection of popular dishes and reasonably priced, your not over faced with choice as in some other places. Specials menu is delicious I have my favorite you will have yours! Portions are just right, bravo Shahbaaz what a great local find you are 👏

we live just down the road from this restaurant and its one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Well recommended.

Lovely Indian restaurant, small and welcoming. Food is of a very good standard and they have some dishes not often found in other restaurants. The place is lovely and clean and you have a choice of dining ithe the original part of the building or in the new conservatory part. The staff are attentive without being over baring. The food is excellent as is the service. We dined as a large group (22) and all meals were served correctly and at the same time. Overall a lovely Indian restaurant.

If you are going make sure you put your glasses on your head, as everyone seems to. The food is actually awesome but the presentation is average, but don't let that put you off! Great value meal deal on a Sunday. I like it, park under the buzzing pilons and enjoy!

Had a lovely meal in here for 5 of us this week. The poppadoms were fresh and the chutneys were really nice and plentiful All the main meals were good quality and good size portions. The rice portions were bordering on small The garlic naan bread was lovely Coffee & choc mints Staff were very pleasant Only downside was the car park was full( it wouldn’t have been if people had parked considerately !) so we had to park across the road at the pub

Myself and a group of 9 friends have our Christmas curry night here and have done for the last few years We were glad to return again this year after missing out last year due to the lockdown. Food was excellent again, service was prompt and attentive. Good value for money and a really enjoyable night .

Having visited on a Tuesday at 4.30pm the car park was empty and I parked near the rear entrance as I had a disabled person who could walk but not very good or far . We entered the restaurant and not one person was dining , We finally got seated and ordered drinks then looked at the menu, five minutes later the lad who was working there said I need to move my car as it’s in a wrong place ? I told him I had parked there as I had a disabled person who was very bad at walking , He said you need to move it further away in the car park , I told him there are no specific parking bays or disabled parking bays as the car park was just shale ! And pitch dark with no lighting , he insisted I moved . And I got up and assisted my colleague to get up and we left, the waiter needs to learn some manners and have consideration for disabled people ! I could not believe it ! When the whole restaurant was empty bar ourselves. Oh well we won’t return back to that place again .

We went on a Monday night for our wedding anniversary. We expected it to be quiet, we were the only people dining in. There were a lot collecting takeaway orders. They got the number of popadoms wrong and forgot to make and bring out our starter. The prawn puree lacked flavour, no salad and the puree was small dry and hard. My husbands jalfrazi had no fresh chillies. There was heat from the dish but we think it was chilli powder. My dish was something I hadn't heard of, it tasted like the chicken had been boiled and added to a jar curry. Normally curries are swimming in oil there wasn't any. Portions were that small that we weren't even bursting when we left. Unfortunately we will not be going back.

Very enjoyable 3 course meal with good service by staff.

Quick visit with my daughter, the lone waiter was rude! His behaviour and attitude were just off. Also delivered my daughters lamb curry and he started spooning through the dish and looking at the contents, made it look like dog food. My daughter asked him what he was doing and very sarcastically said checking what meat it was! We then had the naan bread thrown on the table hitting my fork making it fly. Been before and never been unhappy with the food or service.

Ensure they understand your order before hanging up as when they mess it up they're not interested in resolving it. Tonight we put our order through, they missed several items and despite acknowledging their error initially they then refused to resolve it. We'll be finding a new restaurant/take away from now on, very very disappointing.

Food was good but service a little slow. Took about an hour to get our food then when finished and asked for the bill it took about another 30 minutes and 3 additional requests before we got it. It was fairly busy but they should be staffed to cope. Nothing at all wrong with the food so gave 4 star but if my experience is a normal one then they could do with increasing staff to cope with busier times.

Shahbaaz is our favourite curry house in the area. Definitely recommend!

Went for an early dinner on Saturday with a young family member for his first visit to an Indian restaurant. Staff were great in helping him choose his meal and he absolutely loved the whole experience. The food was great (much better than I remember from my last visit) and service excellent. Well done to all staff, we’ll definitely be back soon.

Great takeaway. Lovely chicken tikka masala and chicken Bhuna. In addition you also get a decent portion size as well! I can recommend this Indian restaurant and takeaway
