Loved the food service and everything about this place

Excellent food, service and staff attitude. Very clean and reasonably priced. Parking available on the nearby streets. I am quite fussy on where I dine but this restaurant was faultless, highly recommended.

Wonderful meal with friends here last Saturday. We had changed our reservation time on the day, with no issues at all. Very helpful indeed. Lovely welcome as always and service was great. Food was superb - really enjoyed it and this place has to be the best Indian restaurant in the Manchester area!

Service from Hasan was amazing, he was very attentive throughout the meal and we really felt looked after! The food was also amazing, we’d recommend the cardamom cream special, and chicken tikka korma, with the cheesy garlic Naan :). Overall a great meal & experience at Cardamom cream. 5*

Went in the Cinnamon Cream recently. Decided to order a single brandy. They had about 4 to choose from. Didn’t recognise any of them but liked the sound of Louis XIII, unfortunately I didn’t look at the price as you will see later and figured it would be roughly £10! When I got the bill I nearly went into a cardiac arrest! They charged me £75 for a single!!! I have calculated that you can buy 5.7 bottles of Napoleon brandy for £75! 😮

The place is very nicely set out and is very attractive as you walk in to the restaurant. The customer service was excellent from the beginning until we left the place. The food was amazing full of flavours and the menu selection was also very good! The price is fair for what you get and the portion you get given is worth it. Highly recommended this for anyone for any type of celebration.

Had a great night with curry club lads from the red lion Rawtenstall, bill was just under a grand but they still charged £1 for a container too take away what l couldn't eat !

Cardamom Cream bills itself as Indian Fine Dining. I would say it’s a posh curry house. The food is Pakistani/Bangladeshi rather than Indian. Whilst the food was very good, the a la carte is overpriced for what you get. The service was also very good, but the waiters made it clear they wanted us to leave once we’d finished eating (this was a family reunion) despite the restaurant only being 20% full. Would I go back? Only to keep my relatives happy.

The food is average but way overpriced .. £14-£20 for one curry and £5/£6 just for rice with your curry etc ..There are many Indian restaurants to go to with a similar or better taste at a more reasonable price point

Great restaurant complemented by good staff who look after all you need. Very clean restaurant to include clean toilets and stairwells leading to them. Quite honestly say the food was EXCELLENT! Not to be confused with regular Indian cuisine, this restaurant serves authentic top quality food. Great Indian lager helped the food go down well. Food and drink was served correctly and with hot plates . Best Indian we've had in years. 5 star experience.

CARDAMOM CREAM. 21 Bolton Street Ramsbottom Lancashire. BL0 9HU Tel: 01706 827888. Date of visit: 6th June 2024. I have read several reviews regarding the Cardamom Cream, most of which are quite encouraging. So, I found myself in Ramsbottom recently and came across this place. A smart modern establishment with seating for around 70 people on the ground floor with a function room seating around 20 on the first floor. It is licenced but unfortunately only a very limited stock of draft beer, Cobra is bottled only, and more expensive. Staff are friendly and efficient, today I was served by Raj, or Jakir Miah. a nice enough and chatty chap. So, I ordered from a very strange menu card which for some reason does not provide the price of the dish! I order Popadom’s and the obligatory pickle tray which came out at £7.50! Nice fresh crispy pop’s but nothing exceptional regarding the pickles themselves! Next was the Sheek Kebab, which came out at £8.00! Nice kebab but again nothing to set it out from the crowd! Next out was a chicken Jalfrezi, at £14.00, yes that what I said, £14.00! Again, nothing exceptional! Along with a saffron Rice which had never seen a strand of saffron in its life! As usual I ordered a Peshwari Nan, it was fresh soft and sweet, nice! And the piece-de -resistance a bottle of Cobra at 7.50. THEN on top of that they charge £1.00 each for the foil trays!!! As I was aware of this little trick, I asked them to put my takeout bits in one tray to which they agreed. On arriving home, I discover that they had placed it in TWO trays and the peshwari in a paper bag to which I was also charged £1.00 Now I know there is a cost-of-living crisis going on in the UK right now, but this was a RIP OFF!!! Now I know why there are no prices on the menu card! So £ my wallet was lightened to the tune of £52.00 and it will be the last time that they will get away with that one. Not very happy!!! 6/10 from me!

My visit to Cardamon was outstanding, with some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The flavors were authentic and perfectly balanced. The interior decor was equally impressive, showcasing a modern and stylish design that created a welcoming atmosphere. The service was top-notch, making the entire experience delightful. Highly recommended for an exceptional meal in a stunning setting!

Food is rubbish and the little gs who hide behind the shop counter getting mouthy on here better be careful who they are talking too Its dark in rammy late at night YOUR FOOD IS RUBBISH !

Food is substandard and the waiting staff have very bad attitudes One day they may just say things to the wrong person.Major over hype going on here thick stewed forgeries of authentic slop.

Absolutely brilliant! Staff were exceptional at recommending alternatives to our staple choices. The food was delicious and staff were attentive and very professional. A real fine dining experience, napkins placed on the lap after ordering. Wine was very good too! Would highly recommend!!

We came for my nanas 70th birthday! And the service and staff were amazing, very welcoming, friendly and up to have a laugh. What can I say about the food? Nothing other than, it was the best curry I’ve tasted. Definitely filling. Would 100% recommend and will be going again!

The service was amazing - friendly and attentive, especially Sai. The food was tasty and fresh and brought out at the perfect time. The pina Colada I ordered was one of the bestI have ever tasted Thanks so much - we will definitely become regular visitors !

I have not been here for some time as we tend to visit one of the other local establishments however we weren't disappointed. It was surprisingly quiet for a Friday evening however the food and service was excellent. I won't leave it so long for a re-visit this time.

Marvellous restaurant with excellent service. We were visiting (having moved from the area) and this was our favourite Indian restaurant at the time and still is. Beautifully cooked, fresh aromatic ingredients, lovely staff. Good to see the same people there four years later and look forward to coming back. Top quality served with a smile. (Hello Jack).

Family gathering and meal to celebrate a significant birthday. Beautiful restaurant never visited before. Can’t complain about the food either, would eat there again. Service naff. That’s all that can be said. It was a full house granted and it was a Sunday, but why should that matter,there was plenty of staff , they simply left there manners at the door that day. Then the bill came with service charge. Now that’s a pet hate and I know it’s our right to refuse however, it’s compulsory with your booking. What the actual !!!! That was the news to us and to the person who booked the tables. They simply refused to remove it even though we agreed we wanted to leave a tip, but on our terms. To be fair the service charge should have gone into the kitchen teams pocket as the food was cracking but front of house, needed sending home for re-programming. We all decided to leave to the agreed amount because no one wanted to spoil it for each other., but my god has this left a sour taste inn what we’d hoped to be a lovely end to the evening . Oh and yes we did try and decline and quietly force our disapproval. They just were not interested . So food over service battles service over food. I’d prefer a happy medium of both to be brutally honest. May go back again for food but damn, I will not be contributing towards the staff wages this time. Just so the restaurant know who I am. Really pleasant, great food, friendly staff, great drinks

Priced accordingly to the special surroundings. My main meal was colder than expected so so improvement needed there.

Food was nice, however we felt like we were rushed home straight after the meal. As soon as we put the fork and knife down, withing a second the waiter came to clean the table. Older gentleman was walking around the restaurant all the time and as soon as the table was empty he started staring at us. It felt little uncomfortable. Restaurant was half empty, they were not struggling for spaces.

The food was exceptional, home made sauces, naan bread and traditional indian desserts. Super tasty and beautiful presented curries. I would highly recommend.

Excellent and very varied menu, everything was good, no complaints

Just had a really good meal with my family, we only booked that afternoon but was probably quieter than usual as it had snowed, we were able to have the Sunday set menu, arrive by five to ensure you get it! But it’s good value for what you receive. The normal menu I found to be more expensive than most other Indian restaurants. Everyone loved their starters, probably just missing lime pickle for the popadoms but they had a coleslaw dip instead. The food was tasty, the main course meat lamb was ok could have been a bit better as was a bit on tougher side rather than melt in the mouth. But overall we all enjoyed it , I think it’s £17.95 for over 10. Drinks/ desserts are also on the higher side. Service was really good and face clothes provided / chocolate with bill. Attention to detail was good in the restaurant.

Fine dining Indian food. We go half a dozen times a year and always have an excellent meal. Price reflects this. Don’t personally have an issue with the cost of the food. We always order too much and take home the surplus. A treat for any family members who can’t come with us. Sometimes we add an additional meal to the take home. But last week they charged us for the take home foil trays. No warning, the charge was just added to the bill. Total bill including wine was £175 for three. Plus 6x£1 for six trays. We simply reduced the tip which may affect the staff more than the owner but maybe the message will get passed on. Oh, and when we got home there were only 5 trays. Exceptional food but plot lost. Won’t over order in future.

Not great value and only small amount of meat. Samosas are ok and poppadom are a little soft. Curry sauce is good and healthy amount of veg. Liked the mixed hot starter too.

Loved the food . Staff extremely friendly . Only didn’t give 5 stars due to being charged £3 for one of the party taking home some uneaten food(including uneaten rice from a different dish that wasn’t asked for) May have to cover costs but come on!!!

One of the best Indian restaurants I've eaten in in ages.

Overpriced! The bill came in and we were charged £48.00 service charge. The service was nothing special, and when we spoke to the waiter his response was 'they charge this in manchester' ..... we're not in manchester, it was a Sunday night...in bolton, and should be happy for the custom. We asked to speak to the manager and apparently he wasn't around. We left our number for the manager but he never phoned. We've since phoned 3 times and as yet nobody wants to speak to us. Not professional at all from cardamom cream. Disappointing!

This restaurant charges around £35 for a curry and rice on average. They try to offer a higher quality experience. The food is very nice, however My family of 5 wanted to take home our curry’s etc . The bill was £200 with tap water and 1 beer for drinks, so not cheap. I had no issue with the price as I have been many times before, but not for a year or so. I was really disgusted to see they have created a “rule” according to their staff, that I had to pay £1 per foil tray , per item , therefore an extra £10, just to take away the food I had already paid £200 for. “What!,,” they were apologetic but said this was the rule now. They agreed they don’t charge £1 per foil tray on their takeaway service. I asked them several times if they felt this was a sensible business decision as they cost pennies to buy and surely this is petty and easily absorbed, and especially considering the current economy and how companies are profiteering with prices ? It’s a principal thing, you don’t charge £10 to allow customers to take home the £200 food they have already bought from you? They said that’s the “rule” , so they binned the food. Considering we supported them during lockdown, with takeaways, we will no longer ever go back. Sad for ramsbottom , as it will drives away customers. The only way to stop this, is to stop using them and others who think that’s acceptable . Hence they lost a £20 tip!

Nice food but they charge to take your meal home, it's very expensive anyway and to be charged to take food home is a joke.

Booked a last minute table for a family catch up meal whilst visiting home from Northern Ireland…wow! Couldn’t have had a better experience. Gorgeous setting, brilliant service and the best food! The six of us enjoyed a variety of dishes-all stunning (The rogan josh was a great recommendation). The attention to detail is clear in every course ..looking forward to a return visit.

We felt intimidated. We visited on father's day for a rare meal out as money is tight but nevertheless saved up for the experience. Food was excellent. They charged 10% service charge which we didn't ancount for in our budget therfore couldn't pay the unforseen charge. We asked if the charge was legal and they said "yes" The group respectfully challenged the guidance and got told we where informed of the service charge upon booking, I can definitely confirm that was not the case. When I was leaving the place I was met aggressively by the manager and was told we are not welcome and will not be served at this place ever again. Throughout the evening our group remained respectful and communicated our concerns discreetly.

Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere. Staff very attentive. The perfect choice to celebrate our daughter's birthday. We had a lovely evening. I would definitely recommend.

Two of us on soft drinks one main each and two sides a total of £80. Over priced for what it is, OTT decor advertising as fine dining, it wasn't unpleasant but the curry house a bit further up we had a better meal at for much less money. They do have some interesting sounding dishes unique to them but we only sampled the traditional meals, it deserved 3.5/5

Decided to pop out for something to eat, and wow, we were we not disappointed. Lovely setting and atmosphere, all enhanced with a very warm welcome. The service was excellent, and the food was simply delicious. An inviting menu, with some unusual.dishes and specials, it read very well and tasted even better. The nicest meal we have had in a good while. Delicious starters, amazing mains, and, well, didn't manage a dessert (sorry Ali), but we will save that for our next visit. And that will be very soon. Just had the most amazing food here. It was absolutely incredible. I never finish an Indian meal but here I did it was delicious. The staff were also fantastic. We felt really welcome dining with children too. We will definitely be back.

This place is absolutely excellent. The service is well above standard and the food is exceptional. We ate here for my daughters birthday on 7th May and even though we hadn't mentioned it was her birthday, the staff must have heard us mention it and brought her a cake with a sparkler in it!! What a lovely thought. We will definitely be returning and would certainly recommend!!

Perfect night. Brought two friends on Wednesday night. Excellent food and service(Ali). We all had different courses. My friends (age 75 & 67) said said it was the best Indian Restaurant they’ve ever been to.

Over priced and not as good as the price would suggest

Our waiter Ali was so attentive and full of recommendations, we all ordered something totally different to what we normally would, and loved every single bite!
