Good buffet has all the essentials. Fish pakoras were good. Kebabs not so much. You pay 20£ for the buffet you get a £20 buffet.

Unacceptable Aggression from Staff – Left Our Children Scared We had a very upsetting experience here due to the aggressive behaviour of a staff member. As we arrived, a member of staff shouted at my partner over a parking space — loudly and aggressively, right in front of our two young children. There was absolutely no need for the confrontation to escalate like it did. Our children were left feeling frightened and unsettled, and we were all shocked by how unprofessional and hostile the staff member was. I will never visit this establishment again and urge others not to do so either! Our children were visibly upset as he approached us trying to antagonise my partner! This is not how anyone should be treated, especially not in front of kids. I truly hope the management addresses this behaviour seriously, because no family should have to go through what we did! Absolutely shocking! DO NOT VISIT!

Came for the all you can eat, great selection of tasty food from starters to mains. Very authentic tasting food with friendly staff and a nice chilled atmosphere. The desserts were really nice too. On the whole I’d certainly recommend!

We went as it says Indian restaurant but i think this place is only for english people. The taste was not like Indian or Pakistani at all. I am sorry but i have no dish at all to recommend from here

Really impressed with this place. The staff were genuinely hospitable and professional – made us feel welcome and served us with a smile throughout. The food was spot on. Starters were great, especially the lamb chops, but my personal favourites were the fish pakora and naga wings – packed with flavour. Curries were classic British Indian restaurant style, just how I like it when eating out. What really stood out for me was the calm, cosy vibe. Even though it was nearly a full house, it didn’t feel chaotic or noisy like some buffet places. Staff managed the floor well and created a relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Saved this restaurant so I can review it later after Ramadan, very disappointed. Just like the pictures, it's sad and tasteless, lacks flavour, colour etc. Curry and the rogan sauce was ok..probably the worse mix grill!!

The food is 10 out of 10 had no complaint about anything I ate I tried different things that I would not normally choose and yes every thing I had was lovely desert was lovely and a good few to choose from the staff was also lovely I will definitely be going back 😊

Had a table booked but had to cancel half an hour before thought I would call the restaurant to cancel out of courtesy however I was met by a rude worker over the phone who repeatedly mentioned he could have given that table away even after I had apologised and called as soon as I realised I can not make it. Genuinely was excited to try out this restaurant but will not even bother trying to go back after this rude customer service.

We ordered from here and found black plastic in their food. The manager then called my mum stupid infront of everyone in the restaurant for their own mistake let’s just say don’t eat there if you wanna eat literal plastic and then get degraded !

I recently visited Indigo after seeing many TikTok’s about the place and I can say it easily lives up to the hype. The waiters went above and beyond to cater to our needs and the food was amazing. Curries were exceptional and the desserts were just 10/10. TJ recommended the mango mojito and it was amazing would recommend asking for him as your waiter!

To sum it up, Fabulous. Could not fault it the food it was fresh and tasty. You can tell the chefs take their time making these dishes. Despite it being busy the waiters were always on top of things asking us if we need drinks and taking plates off our tables. Would recommend

Food was fine desserts were ok. Grilled food such as lamb chops and seekh kebabs are limited to one portion so not truly a buffet. Waiters were good but the owners are rude and spoke to us with no respect trying to get extra £3 per person from us. Note for Muslims, they sell alcohol (no surprise they are bengali brothers).

Food was not bad at all. Waiters were very good. Grilled food (chops and kebab) only get one plate full for a table, thought it was a buffet... Oh well.... We came at Iftari time, then once we had finished eating, one of the slimmer bald owner was getting disrespectful about price. It was 16.95 yet he was saying we may have come later with no proof, was arguing and we felt very disrespected, luckily we remained calm, also as I have a very big following on social media, this will be posted on all platforms warning everyone of this terrible experience. If this was a "white english" individual they would have bent themselves for them, they also serve alcohol so warning for all Muslims, not surprising as they are bengalis, so it is standard procedure.

Was visiting Manchester and wanted a place to eat. Reviews looked good and a few social media content creators highly recommended this place....BUT.... £22 per person on weekends for a buffet that was very LIMITED. You only get 1.5 sheesh kebabs and 2 lamb chops per person (they were decent) and if you request for more there is an extra charge. So it's not a all you can buffet then, would you agree? This should have been made clear before shown to a table. FYI drinks are NOT included but tap water available. Waiter and waitresses were very attentive, so can't fault them on their service. Lesson learnt...don't believe the reviews from social media influences as the food was not worth the money.

We booked one week prior for iftar time. Rang a day before to confirm booking but was told no booking under that name, and that they are now fully booked?!! So I demanded for them to double check and to clarify the booking, then after 5 minutes of discussion he found the booking on the system (I then paid £5 per head to secure the booking for 11 people) incase they cancel the booking on the day. Anyways, on arrival, luckily no issues as we already paid the deposit. Some kajoor and a plate of fruit which was good to see for iftar time. And then within 5 minutes few plates of lamb chops and seekh kebabs arrived. (Seekh kebabs were nice, but lamb chops were under-cooked). Overall food was standard, but desserts were nice - good selection of desserts i.e milk cake, gulab jamen/chocolate fudge cake with ice cream and a selection of cheese cakes. Atmosphere: - Quiet which was good, however dessert bar queues were long and small amount of space to move around. Would I come again? No, didn't enjoy the food. Dessert was the highlight of the night.

The food was lovely and good service but it cost much more than advertised. £86 for 2 adults and a 9 year old with one round of drinks and a lemonade on a Sunday. The drinks are expensive. We queried this and were told prices have gone up but I only saw the advert that same morning. Found it quite dishonest. Notably there are no menus on tables and no prices published when you get there. Our bill wasn't properly itemised either so costs aren't transparent. For example the lemonade was £4.

recently visited Indigo for iftaar, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was packed with authentic flavors. The curries were rich and perfectly spiced, the lamb chops starter was tender and full of smoky goodness, and the sheek kebabs were juicy with just the right amount of seasoning. The service was equally impressive. A tall gentleman among the waitstaff stood out with his outstanding customer service—attentive, polite, and always ensuring we had everything we needed. To top it off, the dessert bar was a treat in itself! A fantastic selection of different sweets, catering to every taste, made for the perfect ending to a great meal. Overall, Indigo Bury Buffet offers amazing food, top-notch service, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I came in for the buffet with a friend. The food was dry. we had to wait ten minutes for the dessert for them to tell us what we wanted was finished. Bare in mind we came at 5 pm. The server was rude and after asking multiple times for a kebab he would delay it and work on something else. I would not recommend this to anyone. Save ur money and spend elsewhere

Tried ringing on Saturday Sunday and also Monday but no answers so decided to travel 30 miles to open my iftaar at this venue. Arrived and they told me there was no availability which was quite upsetting as we had traveled far and tried booking in advance. Regardless, they told me I could have a table for 19:30 and gave us a complimentary iftaar plate to open our fast. I would say make sure you've got a table booked before turning up and looking like idiots.

Terrible experience at Indigo Restaurant. The food was absolutely awful—bland, poorly cooked, and not even close to what was promised on the menu. On top of that, the customer service was just as bad. The staff was rude, slow, and completely uninterested in helping. To make matters worse, they charge ridiculously high prices for this subpar experience. Definitely not worth the money. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone The man at the till was very rude behaviour and the guy with long hight was very bad. No recommendations 😤🤮👎🏻

WOW the food is not only tasty but absolutely value for money. We've only just discovered this restaurant. We have ordered four times in the past few months. Starters, mains and sides everytime and no complaints.

Pros: Comfy environment, loads of currys, very friendly staff, good family spot, lots of desserts options that you can get money's worth just on desserts, amazing salad bar, whole menu just for drinks 🍸, good variety of starters and food is fresh and tasty. Cons: No proper pilau or biryani, just boiled rice and boiled rice with colour labelled as pilau. Starters are the most fried items, not many grilled items. Vegetarian currys have saag in almost all dishes. Overall, it is a good place with tasty indian curries and drinks, some people might love it more than others, especially if you like a nice drink with your food.

Unfortunately worst experience I have had going out to eat. We decided to give it a go after seeing reviews but we actually felt like it was a catfish! We got seated upstairs where we were shown a small selection of a buffet and were told that desserts were downstairs, fair enough. Everyone helped themselves and I was actually shocked that 9/10 things were not refilled. Fruit was not refilled at all, all my child wanted was watermelon lol. We had to ask a member of staff for watermelon, hoping he would refill the buffet but no. He bought a small starter plate of just watermelon and put it in the empty buffet. After a big disappointment in the selection of food being served upstairs we decided to just go get dessert, the vibe downstairs was very different! We most probably would have had a better experience downstairs because we decided to look at their buffet and I was so annoyed that they had a better variety of food downstairs! Upstairs we had limited currys and downstairs has about 5 extra currys and everything filled to the brim, smoking hot. I feel the upstairs was very neglected as no refills were done and not the same food being served upstairs. I was totally disappointed. Maybe the owner or manager should be over seeing the whole place? Not just serving ice cream from behind a worktop. Very moody didnt even smile. SO SO DISAPPOINTED.

Absolute disgrace of a place! Booked a table for 8 people at 7, table wasn’t ready, staff were disorganised, dishonest and rude. We were told upstairs had the same food and it didn’t it was all empty and dry. Downstairs had better food for children but to get to it you have to go up and down, not great for disabled and they were extremely discriminative and not family friendly at all. Will not go back and should be avoided.

Today was my 1st ever visit and Inshallah not my last to Indigo Indian Restaurant in Bury Manchester. The greeting from the front of house was spot on humble polite showed myself my Disabled Son and my nephew to our table and upon my request that my son is a wheelchair user we need open space they seated us on a big table with ample of amounts of room for my son to manoeuvre easily. Next came our waiter for the evening young gentleman with abundance of respect and great table manners took our drinks order explained how we approach the buffet area and if we needed anything else to ask at free will. Shortly after this the head of the house the elder of 5 brothers came to greet us and gave us complementary Mango Lassi on the house which by way was absolutely spot on not to sweet and the texture and taste was great. As our evening came along I was then greeted my the next brother of the manager of front of house who gave us the house specials LAMB PLATTER consisting of LAMB CHOPS WITH MUTTON MALAI SHEEKH KEBABS and OMG they were super delicious. I will admit that these were much better than Akbars, Lala’s and Mumtaz Lamb Chops and SHEEKH Kebabs that I have tried. The evening went on the waiters were professional and excellent I would like to put my heartfelt applause to the staff that went above and beyond to look after my son and nephew during our visit thank you very much guys. Lastly I will say their food quality was 5 stars Starter Main Desserts all excellent my request would be please do go and enjoy an evening at Indigo Restaurant in Bury and indulge yourself and try some of the finest cooking we have ever eaten for yourself. Thank you once again Ingido Restaurant in Bury we will see you again very soon.

Have been there for our anniversary dear . The ambience is good , staffs are well behaved . Plenty of veg and non veg food items were there , though starter items could be improved a bit like adding kebabs , prawn items . Main courses are top notch . Dessert section has lot of options though it will be served by the staffs only which disappointed a bit . Overall it’s a nice experience.

Ate here last night, Service was great, the let down was the food we ordered off the menu and the lamb chops that my husband had were basically just fat and the chicken in the curry’s seemed to not be fresh all the pieces looked the same like they were out of a frozen bag. We all had boggy belly’s after eating here as soon as we got home.

I went for my birthday at 5.30pm on a Wednesday evening. We were the first ones in, but it soon started to fill up. There were poppadoms, a great selection of starters, 10-12 curries, some traditional, some speciality, (Achari and nepalese were my favourites!) and even nuggets and chips for those who don't like a curry (kids, etc) There were also some delicious traditional desserts and wonderful ice creams. All in all, fab value for money, incredibly tasty food & friendly staff!

The aloo was cold and we didn’t receive the rice we ordered.

As most of our party were vegetarian we didnt opt for the buffet that was available, although I would say it looked brilliant and I believe would be well worth the price. We stuck with the main menu and were able to have most of the meals as vegetarian with options I have never seen in any other restaurant. Everything was very tasty and the service was friendly and quick. As its local to my daughter we will definitely be back.

Good selection of food. Masala fish starters were great. Saag paneer with yummy, dal bora which is a bengali dish was good. Service was brilliant. Great selection of desserts aswell. The only very very small downside was the veg somasas tasted readymade and the aburgines and potato curry the aburgines were undercooked or slightly hard. Apart from that everything else was great. Good options for kids aswell. Reasonable price!

After reading the recent reviews, I wasnt really looking forward to coming back for a second visit. We came last night (Wednesday) at 6.30. restaurant was very quiet (it soon got busier) My husband and I opted for the buffet. Lots of choice and fresh. Other reviews said the food was cold - this was NOT the case last night. Staff were professional and attentive and were keen for us to try everything. We were not offered lamb chops, so unsure if these are still on offer. Dessert choice slightly disappointing but fine. Could do with a better quality ice cream. If you are a vegetarian or fish eater, I would suggest you opt for something off the menu and not have the buffet. I think the only fish option on the buffet was pakora.

Great food for eat in, pick up, or delivery. Since moving it's a bit far away now. But still use/go occasionally and still great food.

The buffet has a variety of curry styles. The appetizers and fried snacks are very attractive. Ice cream and cakes are also available. The restaurant environment is good and the staff are very friendly. It is worth a visit👍👍

Great service, but the food was a complete let down as it had a limited variety and the curry’s had definitely been re used from the day before hence the awful taste across all curries. The starters were decent but were definitely full of oil which wasn’t the real issue but just the limitation and choice of options eg, cash and carry frozen food. The desert station was better than the mains+starter. For the price I would recommend better buffet around and it definitely needs massive changes by taking inspiration from competitors as it’s not a place that makes you want to come back. Also with nearly all the dishes not tasting good enough was a let down. Amazing service from staff, I’d like to say.

I ordered a takeaway as I was by myself for the weekend. I have had quite a few meals in the restaurant as well as takeaways. I was so very disappointed with what I received. I ordered the meal deal for 1. I received 4 onion bhajis, 2 popadoms and pickles. Lamb madras and naan bread. Plenty for 2 meals. The order came a bit late (20 minutes). It was stone cold. I had to re warm half of it. The madras was the worst I have had. I always gave madras as it is usually the right heat for me. However I could only manage a couple of fork fulls. It was extremely hot. Today I gave the other half to my daughter who eats vindaloos and phalls. She couldn’t eat it. She stated that the spices tasted raw and she could even smell them. This was a waste of 19.99 in total with delivery costs. This has put me off ordering a takeaway from them again.

Food was lovely. Order was late so I rang restaurant and they sorted it out quickly for me. It was New Years Eve so I would expect they were busy. Very polite when they answered the phone. Definitely would order from here again.

We had the unlimited buffet which includes starters, mains and desserts. They had alot of great options available. Fresh salad with a range of sauces. Huge range of starters. Veg somosas, chicken rolls, poppadoms, pokoras, onion bajis, fish pokoras and about 8 types of chicken from nuggets to grilled drumsticks. There was a huge range of curries vegetarian a and meats. Went great with unlimited rice, pillau, chips and nan. Food was hot which was great...it was buffet food so not going to blow your socks off but had delicious Bangladeshi flavours and seasoned perfectly. They also gave us a huge plate of fresh sheesh kebab and huge lamb chops. Huge range of ice cream and desserts for a buffet so save space. Kids loved it. The best part was the amazing service. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Amazing bunch of people had a great experience. I see why this place is popular. The deco was lovely too, kids loved the fish tank and were spoilt with the chocolates at the end. Defo try. Free huge car park in the back x

Can't fault it at all. I've never been for a meal on Christmas day as my tradition is to cook...my husbands is to go for a meal, we've compromised & always cooked...this year he put his foot down & said no, (as it's also my birthday Xmas day) so he gave me a few menus from local restaurants & told me to choose, I've always wanted to try Indigo so figured why not go. I'm so glad we did, the food was beautiful, the staff were all so friendly & helpful. Only one negative & that's the fact I couldn't eat any more as I was stuffed haha. I don't drink alcohol either & there were a few mocktails to choose from (not just 1 or 2 like alot of places). We will definitely be coming back for the buffet in 2025, them fish pakoras & the mango ice cream were fantastic!!!

We’ve been coming to Indigo since we moved to Bury in 2012, in all that time we’ve never had a bad meal, or a mediocre meal, this is a fantastic achievement from Ziggy and the staff, the wonderful chefs and the extensive menu showcasing dishes from all corners of India, Goa and Sri Lanka, we recently went for the buffet but found it not as inspiring as the many dishes we’ve tried over the years so this time it was the Chettinad and Achari, both delicious with yummy spices and lime pickle, washed down with a bottle of Ozzy Chardonnay, at less than £50 for starters too it’s great value. Always a warm welcome from the guys and we’ll keep returning, the next visit will be on 22nd December for a big pre- Xmas takeaway. Thanks all of you for yet another wonderful experience.

Really disappointing tonight…the keema rice had burnt hard bits in, they didn’t add the salad and sauce that usually comes with the samosa starter, and they didn’t follow the order instructions which they normally do. It can be hit and miss with most places but I’m finding that it’s a bit more miss now. So disappointing as completely different experience in the restaurant.

The flavours are amazing in the sajaan curry, I'd highly recommend.

Starters are a no, the curries 👍🏻 the fresh naan and the ice cream are good. The mock tails fab to though I think should b £2 less as they contain no alcohol. Horne made cake and extra kebab/ lamb chops you can order are delicious. The picky bits and started which the kids go far just waste space and could do with an upgrade for the maximum stars

Masala was bland and the butter chicken didn’t resemble any butter chicken I’ve had before. Each Indian restaurant does do it slightly differently but this was nothing like a butter chicken. Chicken was tough and too much spice

Service was brilliant for a busy Saturday night. Asked to move tables due to getting a breeze and there was no problem with that and moved us to another table. Constantly checking if everything was okay, if wanting more drinks. Food was always fresh and kept coming out nothing was cold all very hot and tasty. Would definitely recommend coming.

It was the frist time my husband and I have been to the Inidgo restaurant it was lovely I couldn't fault anytime it was my husbands birthday not only was the staff and food lovely but no they even brought him a beautiful piece of cake with a candel and was singing happy birthday it was lovely we will be going offen with family and friends too thank you to the staff .
