Good selection of food. Masala fish starters were great. Saag paneer with yummy, dal bora which is a bengali dish was good. Service was brilliant. Great selection of desserts aswell. The only very very small downside was the veg somasas tasted readymade and the aburgines and potato curry the aburgines were undercooked or slightly hard. Apart from that everything else was great. Good options for kids aswell. Reasonable price!

After reading the recent reviews, I wasnt really looking forward to coming back for a second visit. We came last night (Wednesday) at 6.30. restaurant was very quiet (it soon got busier) My husband and I opted for the buffet. Lots of choice and fresh. Other reviews said the food was cold - this was NOT the case last night. Staff were professional and attentive and were keen for us to try everything. We were not offered lamb chops, so unsure if these are still on offer. Dessert choice slightly disappointing but fine. Could do with a better quality ice cream. If you are a vegetarian or fish eater, I would suggest you opt for something off the menu and not have the buffet. I think the only fish option on the buffet was pakora.

Great food for eat in, pick up, or delivery. Since moving it's a bit far away now. But still use/go occasionally and still great food.

The buffet has a variety of curry styles. The appetizers and fried snacks are very attractive. Ice cream and cakes are also available. The restaurant environment is good and the staff are very friendly. It is worth a visit👍👍

Jalfrezi had a funny taste to it and very oily, couldn’t eat it and madras was bland, lots of sauce with not much chicken

Great service, but the food was a complete let down as it had a limited variety and the curry’s had definitely been re used from the day before hence the awful taste across all curries. The starters were decent but were definitely full of oil which wasn’t the real issue but just the limitation and choice of options eg, cash and carry frozen food. The desert station was better than the mains+starter. For the price I would recommend better buffet around and it definitely needs massive changes by taking inspiration from competitors as it’s not a place that makes you want to come back. Also with nearly all the dishes not tasting good enough was a let down. Amazing service from staff, I’d like to say.

I ordered a takeaway as I was by myself for the weekend. I have had quite a few meals in the restaurant as well as takeaways. I was so very disappointed with what I received. I ordered the meal deal for 1. I received 4 onion bhajis, 2 popadoms and pickles. Lamb madras and naan bread. Plenty for 2 meals. The order came a bit late (20 minutes). It was stone cold. I had to re warm half of it. The madras was the worst I have had. I always gave madras as it is usually the right heat for me. However I could only manage a couple of fork fulls. It was extremely hot. Today I gave the other half to my daughter who eats vindaloos and phalls. She couldn’t eat it. She stated that the spices tasted raw and she could even smell them. This was a waste of 19.99 in total with delivery costs. This has put me off ordering a takeaway from them again.

Food was lovely. Order was late so I rang restaurant and they sorted it out quickly for me. It was New Years Eve so I would expect they were busy. Very polite when they answered the phone. Definitely would order from here again.

Excellent food, excellent service, fast delivery. We have never had a bad meal from Indigo and there has never been any reason to complain. Always perfect.

We had the unlimited buffet which includes starters, mains and desserts. They had alot of great options available. Fresh salad with a range of sauces. Huge range of starters. Veg somosas, chicken rolls, poppadoms, pokoras, onion bajis, fish pokoras and about 8 types of chicken from nuggets to grilled drumsticks. There was a huge range of curries vegetarian a and meats. Went great with unlimited rice, pillau, chips and nan. Food was hot which was great...it was buffet food so not going to blow your socks off but had delicious Bangladeshi flavours and seasoned perfectly. They also gave us a huge plate of fresh sheesh kebab and huge lamb chops. Huge range of ice cream and desserts for a buffet so save space. Kids loved it. The best part was the amazing service. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Amazing bunch of people had a great experience. I see why this place is popular. The deco was lovely too, kids loved the fish tank and were spoilt with the chocolates at the end. Defo try. Free huge car park in the back x

Can't fault it at all. I've never been for a meal on Christmas day as my tradition is to cook...my husbands is to go for a meal, we've compromised & always cooked...this year he put his foot down & said no, (as it's also my birthday Xmas day) so he gave me a few menus from local restaurants & told me to choose, I've always wanted to try Indigo so figured why not go. I'm so glad we did, the food was beautiful, the staff were all so friendly & helpful. Only one negative & that's the fact I couldn't eat any more as I was stuffed haha. I don't drink alcohol either & there were a few mocktails to choose from (not just 1 or 2 like alot of places). We will definitely be coming back for the buffet in 2025, them fish pakoras & the mango ice cream were fantastic!!!

Just eaten here 16 of us and can honestly sy the food was AMAZING..staff were lovely..nothing to much trouble..atmosphere was lovely..1st time I've eaten there ..will definitely be going again xx̌

We’ve been coming to Indigo since we moved to Bury in 2012, in all that time we’ve never had a bad meal, or a mediocre meal, this is a fantastic achievement from Ziggy and the staff, the wonderful chefs and the extensive menu showcasing dishes from all corners of India, Goa and Sri Lanka, we recently went for the buffet but found it not as inspiring as the many dishes we’ve tried over the years so this time it was the Chettinad and Achari, both delicious with yummy spices and lime pickle, washed down with a bottle of Ozzy Chardonnay, at less than £50 for starters too it’s great value. Always a warm welcome from the guys and we’ll keep returning, the next visit will be on 22nd December for a big pre- Xmas takeaway. Thanks all of you for yet another wonderful experience.

Really disappointing tonight…the keema rice had burnt hard bits in, they didn’t add the salad and sauce that usually comes with the samosa starter, and they didn’t follow the order instructions which they normally do. It can be hit and miss with most places but I’m finding that it’s a bit more miss now. So disappointing as completely different experience in the restaurant.

The flavours are amazing in the sajaan curry, I'd highly recommend.

Starters are a no, the curries 👍🏻 the fresh naan and the ice cream are good. The mock tails fab to though I think should b £2 less as they contain no alcohol. Horne made cake and extra kebab/ lamb chops you can order are delicious. The picky bits and started which the kids go far just waste space and could do with an upgrade for the maximum stars

Masala was bland and the butter chicken didn’t resemble any butter chicken I’ve had before. Each Indian restaurant does do it slightly differently but this was nothing like a butter chicken. Chicken was tough and too much spice

Service was brilliant for a busy Saturday night. Asked to move tables due to getting a breeze and there was no problem with that and moved us to another table. Constantly checking if everything was okay, if wanting more drinks. Food was always fresh and kept coming out nothing was cold all very hot and tasty. Would definitely recommend coming.

It was the frist time my husband and I have been to the Inidgo restaurant it was lovely I couldn't fault anytime it was my husbands birthday not only was the staff and food lovely but no they even brought him a beautiful piece of cake with a candel and was singing happy birthday it was lovely we will be going offen with family and friends too thank you to the staff .

I cannot say anything negative about the food, as every single dish was fantastic. Wow, I am so impressed with this place and will definitely be back! I loved the design and decorations. Only thing I would mention is the food labels, I think a woman’s touch is missing, I would invest in some food labels so you can see clearly which dish you are putting on your plate. As I struggled to see which dish I am trying but saying that, all of the food is worth trying :)

This place really is excellent on all fronts. Service, delivery, quality and value are all 2nd to none. Will always highly recommend.

I recently visited this buffet restaurant, and I was thoroughly disappointed. The menu displayed on Google Maps is completely misleading—you can expect to find only about 10% of what’s shown. Even worse, the small amount of food they do serve is of incredibly poor quality. For example, if you opt for the mutton dish, you'll mostly get potatoes (90% potatoes, 10% mutton, if that!). If you’re expecting authentic Indian cuisine, you’ll be sorely let down. There wasn’t even a basic biryani, something you'd find at most Indian buffets. The rest of the food? Let’s just say it’s not worth mentioning. Now, let's talk about the desserts—oh wait, there are none. Yes, you read that right. No desserts to speak of, despite being advertised. As for the ice cream? It’s nothing but frozen chunks of ice—not actual ice cream. To make matters worse, the staff have no concept of customer service. They show ego and attitude, and clearly lack basic manners. They don’t even bother to ask if you have any allergies, which is concerning. Finally, don’t trust their Instagram videos—they are clearly misleading. Save your time and money, and go elsewhere.

I asked for vanilla ice cream but was served coconut ice cream instead. When I pointed this out, the staff casually replied, "It's coconut." Even after explaining that it was the wrong order, their response was indifferent, saying, "It's fine" They showed no concern for my feelings or the fact that I could have been allergic. It was a terrible experience overall.

Absolute disgrace of a place. 18 of us for a party where the food was of a mediocre standard. They can’t fit the people in that have booked and then proceed to slate their customers for not leaving to other customers that have had to wait. Definitely would not recommend on a Sunday.

Great flavours I ordered lamb rogan josh. The lamb was melt in the mouth. Excellent 👌

Food was nice even though I got the wrong curry

Due to a dietary requirement, ordering food can be difficult. Indigo catered to my every need, leaving me more than satisfied. My other half is also vegetarian (I know, quite the pair), they ensured there was no meat cross over leaving her happy and with a need for something to cool her mouth. Fantastic service, fantastic food.

Everything in the menu is tasty. But staff are bit rude and they were rushing customers to leave early. Apart from that food is good. I called them to book a table but they said to walk in. When we reached there security didn't allow us and when we explained everything then he allowed us and staff is coming to our table to notify about time that we have to leave. Half of the menu they removed one hour before.

Saw this place on TikTok so I decided to give it a try, we was greeted by Nahid an outstanding host and made the experience enjoyable. He is a fantastic waiter we would recommend this place and also highly recommend Nahid to everyone!

Great staff, nice restaurant! Not up to the standard I’m used to when eating out when it comes to the food unfortunately. The main issue was the food in the buffet trays was cold & I had been warned by a friend don’t have the buffet it’s usually cold. The starters was nice & there was some fish in the starter section in small pieces. There was quite a variety. The mains were tasty but just seemed cold. Some of the dishes of the milder variety had a bit of a kick (maybe chilli added) which I didn’t appreciate as I don’t like & am not used to having such a spice added to a mild dish. I also had the soup that could have been a bit thicker provided that didn’t take away the taste. I think on hindsight chilli may have been added as maybe in earlier reviews people may have complained about bland food. I was not impressed with the desserts it was not nice vanilla ice cream & most restaurant use the cheaper Asda time vanilla that is delicious but not here. All the variety of ice cream is in bulk tubs. All in all I was not impressed & won’t be back, the restaurant is nice & the staff were helpful & lovely but I do prefer curry houses where they are of the Bangladesh variety personally.

Enjoyed an amazing experience at their buffet service. Food was lovely. Mocktails were on-point. Would come again if im ever back in bury. Desserts range to end the dinner was amazing from cheesecakes, cakes, ice creams and more. 10/10.

I was welcomed by one of the waiters named aqil he was very polite and sat us down, we couldn’t believe this place did cocktails. The buffet was very big and had various options would 100% come again!!!

Been going here for years (they used to do two for one selections and the food was always perfect). All change now though with a poor selection on the servery where all selections look the same and done on the cheap. Taste was bland with unlimited quantities. No service; just dig in and hope for the best.

Not what we expected, it was clean,staff was nice, but buffet wasn,t great the way they advertise it, it loojs like you get seek kababs and lamb chops, but when asked about it they said you have to pay extra ,so we did, when asked could we have some more we were told it was limited to 2 per person, so still not in the all you can eat buffet, we got there about 7.30pm but the trays were nearly empty and wasn,t restocked, there was no fish like advertised, which is why we went there in first place for one of us, not a lot of choice so wont be back again ,bit of a let down, it is small inside and if busy its hard not to fall over each other, its a shame really !

To start with we didn't release it was an all you can eat buffet. The food was absolutely amazing and desert bar, different ice creams and cakes absolutely lovely.
