This place is a little gem. There are plenty of places to eat out in Ramsbottom but this our favourite. It is excellent food at very, very reasonable prices. We have genuinely not had a bad meal in all the times we have been here (and that is quite a few). The service is great, the staff are friendly. Why pay nearly double the amount for similar food at nearby restaurants.

We visited this place on a previous visit and were impressed with the service,quality and price. On this visit we were again super impressed especially when we turned up later than expected and were the last people to be waited on. Couldn’t have asked for better service and the food was delicious. Give it a whirl you won’t be disappointed!

Delivery was late and long considering we live down the road. The butter chicken lacked flavour and was disappointing.

We visit regularly, but don’t review every time. I should. Excellent food, good value, and they really look after us. It’s had a refurb too.

Wow! What a treat! Decided to spoil myself this evening and I've been looked after from start to finish. But the food? Outstanding! The staff are so accommodating! I'm very impressed and I'm a very fussy eater. Thank you so much for such an amazing dining experience! 5 stars hands down!

Fantastic take out, reasonably priced and promptly delivered. The only advice I would give is that the curry we ordered (chicken chilli masala) was described as 'very hot', but it was more like a medium heat. But this may just be subjective taste. We will definitely be ordering from here time and time again.

8 of us went for a pre-Xmas meal. Other people in there were served before us and plenty of takeaway orders were going out. Almost an hour before we got poppadoms and it was almost 3 hours before we'd finished. Food was so-so. No apparent differentiation between dishes. By the time we got out, on a Sat night, almost all the pubs and bars were closing or not letting people in for last orders.

Always love Eastern Eye but the Tikka masala wasn't as flavoursome as usual.

Honestly a lot of it was watered down the popadoms are like paper, cold chips and just not a lot of taste . Don’t know if it’s just a busy night but not great tonight

Never disappoints love eastern eye. Eating in or take a way the service is spot on with friendly staff and good food , ordered for collection given time and was ready on arrival time what I ordered was all there to enjoy

Wow, just wow. Best Indian I've had in years. Food was A1 as we're the staff. Recommended.

The Bengal Balti was delicious, lovely palate of flavours, nice amount of heat and tender lamb. Good standard onion bhaji. Naan bread could have been fluffier but was ok. Overall it was very much enjoyed.

The Acarhi was nice, not had it before but pickles gave a good sour counterpoint to the curry. Everything else was a good standard and enjoyed.

Popadoms and pickle tray did not turn up, I called the restaurant for a partial refund and they said they would not refund and offered to deliver the pickle tray in 20 minutes, I declined as the rest of the food would have been even colder than it was when it arrived. Maybe they would have checked the order properly if they hadn't rushed the delivery. The rest of the food was very average, it used to be our favourite Indian Restaurant but it's gone downhill.

Driver was lovely, and it's the best chocolate cake I've ever had from a takeout place.

Food was good however it was delivered around 30 minutes later than expected.

The food was great, yet the wine is awful . We tried both the white and the rose and none of them tasted nice. Such a shame as the service and food were very good, and the wine is the only thing that puts me us all off going again.

You know how, sometimes, you have an expectation of a place, and sometimes, the actual event somehow falls short.... Well, not this time. I finally got down to the Eastern Eye again, and once again, they delivered. After 15 years of the Antipodean alternative, my Madras and Kingfisher knocked my socks off. A superbly balanced and perfectly cooked curry with mushroom pilau, naans, and chapatis, complete with attentive and efficient service from intelligent and pleasant waiters in a fantastic surround - what's not to like! Highly, highly recommended, even without the memories. Thank you Eastern Eye. I will surely be back again next time I fly over.

Food was cold. Tikka mixed grill main was just enough as a starter not a main. Over 45 mins late so total over 2 hours wait. First time we’ve ordered in ages from here. Won’t be bothering again.

Unfortunately the food was not up to standards we were used to. The yoghurt sauce was off and the curry had egg in it which was not stipulated on the menu and I have an intolerance to this.

Had a fantastic meal, the food is really good. Place is very clean and staff very friendly. This Indian has been in Rammy since the eighties and should be around for a long time based on our experience.

A regular for us and never disappoints. Always well looked after and reliably good food. Their naans are some of the best, and I’ve had plenty. Excellent value for money.

The food was cold. Shahslik was cold but burnt. Starters were cold and onion bhaji was hard. 2 other curries were ok though.

We usually always order from here with no issues but this time it was a waste of money! Spent £50+ to receive curries that were bland and drenched in water!! We had to drain our plates before then tucking into now bland food it was that watered down! Not what you expect when paying +£11 for one dish alone! Wasn’t enjoyable in the slightest.

We’ve been to their restaurant before but this was first time for their takeaway service. Food didn’t disappoint- absolutely delicious and empty plates all round. Highly recommended

Had several Takeaways from here and always good... But to nights was substandard... The ingredients on the Menu (Lamb Tikka Roshun Balti) Stated Plum Tomatoes and Red Peppers... not included ... Exceptionally hot more like a Madras than a Balti and Burnt Popadoms...

Curry was awful, never seen a more greasy curry full of oil. Was nothing like a pasanda I’ve ever had before!

Curry was completely separated and no amount of stirring it was mixing it so just had oily tasteless chicken. Onion Bhaji was just the contents of a Bhaji thrown in a box. Disappointing. 👎

Staff great, food is smashing, plenty of choice. Decor a bit dated and poor for parking, but love the place.

The food was really salty, inedible really and the chips were cold and stale.

Ive eaten from here in the past, but always sat in and the food was lovely. Decided to have a take out last night and wont be doing it again. The rice was cold, and as it was rice i couldnt re heat it, the curry was just bland , no taste just pure spicy, and the pakoras where greasy. I ended up eating just the 2 poppadoms in the end. Such a waste of money and very dissappointed

Was an hour delivery estimate at 7.45pm. At 9.15 I called the restaurant they said it would be another 25mins due to being busy and they would put in some freebies. Half an hour later i rang again for them to say it would be another 10 mins - they will give me discount next time. finally at 10.15pm the food arrived. No freebies in there! Food was really good though can’t complain about that but disappointed with the lack of free promised pakora!

Ordered food at 19:28 for 21:00 delivery time. Phoned restaurant at 21:15 and was told the food hadn’t yet been prepared and despite already being late they neither could or would provide me with a revised delivery time. Food eventually delivered at 22:00 one hour late. Very poor.

Arrived hot and fresh. Order was correct and complete. We would not hesitate to use Eastern Eye again.

I ate here with friends, the service was attentive and friendly, good choice of food and excellent value. The staff give good advice on the dishes and we all enjoyed the dishes we chose. All in all, a good experience.

Lovely staff here, very attentive but not pushy, food was very good, their Nan bread is really special, amazingly light and fluffy, vegatable rice delicious, took elderly parents here last night, 4 people in total and we all enjoyed the well cooked meal.. The decor is basic but giving 5 stars for food quality and lovely service. I'll come back 👌😊

Meal ordered to collect in an hour at 7.35, arrived at 7:25 but it wasn’t ready until about 7:55 pm which was a long wait. Staff were polite and food was good when it arrived though :)

My food was cold, arrived in a plastic bag no bag warmer to keep it warm. Would never order from them again, there is no excuse for cold food. Very disappointed.

Very tasty. I forgot to order rice Perhaps it could be suggested in the app more clearly . This is not the food company. The food was quite good better than the slop you get from so many Indian takeaways. It is all the same.

The food is usually lovely from here but tonight I found a large strand of metal which looks to be off a scourer in my curry. This has cut my cheek and tongue and I had to dispose of the whole order due to it now being contaminated. Will be avoiding ordering here in future

I've not been to Eastern Eye for some 15 years. No particular reason other than it's not that local. Went tonight for my birthday. It was fantastic! Well done gents! Food was excellent! Service was 1st class. 10 out of 10.

Poppadoms missing from the order….grease spilled everywhere in the bag. It looked liked it had been delivered upside down. Had to wipe down every carton just to dish it out. Shame, as the food was great.

All the food was great but the saag paneer in particular was delicious, super friendly staff. Very pleased

One item was missing on delivery, they did get it out quickly afterwards but everyone had finished eating by then.

Tryed giving me cheap wine for the price of the bottle i wanted changed me extra for tray of dips couldn't read the bill properly food was nice

I think I've found my new favourite curry house. The chicken tikka is literally the best I've ever tasted and my curry was spot on. Just a note though the donner meat is the frozen packet stuff not froma spit i really think you should just stop doing that cause you could get a bad rep for it as you're clearly an excellent curry restaurant. Oh and put some more mint in your mint sauce. Thanks.

Service absolutely shocking, regular customers of eastern eye and we usually go and collect but decided to have it delivered today. Had a text off just eat to let us know there has been a delay which is fine. 10 minutes later we get a text to say it’s on its way. I live a 2 minute drive from eastern eye and 40 minutes later my food turned up. In those 40 minutes I called twice and was lied to on both times. When the food arrived I asked the driver (he was actually the young lad who works in the restaurant) if the food has just come straight from the restaurant which he said yes. So I asked him why I have been lied to twice and he said we’ve been busy. My telephone number was on the order so why didn’t they call to keep me informed. Service shocking! Rude on the phone, didn’t answer my questions. Unpacked the food and I could tell it had been sat on a hot plate. Oil had risen to the top of the curry and had spilt all over the bag, naan bread was rock hard. Chips warm but stone cold when I put them on the plate. Starter and rice were okay. Seriously debating not ordering from here again, only ate it because we was hungry. No where near the normal quality - did not enjoy the food.

Fantastic curry. The paneer was beautiful especially the tandoori flavours. I’ll be ordering that again!!!!
