Great meal but did feel a little squashed in where we were sat as there was a large birthday party and did clash chairs with table behind. Food always good and staff very attentive and on the ball.

From the moment we walked through the door Khan was welcoming and funny. His character is definitely amusing with his humour. I can’t fault anything from the food, service and attention all the staff paid to their customers needs everything was spot on. I will be coming back here for sure!! 👌

£90 Sunday pm and never again. Poppodoms and chutney ok. Starters ok but the four currys were the WORST we've eaten as a family EVER in +20 years. Mixed Madras, WATERY, ZERO HEAT., ZERO FLAVOUR. Jalfrezi, NO SPICE, NO FLAVOUR, Saag, TINNED SPINACH, ZERO FLAVOUR, DRY. Asked for staff curry, WET, THIN, NO FLAVOUR. Overall very poor experience but service was pleasant

We was treated like royalty. It was my sons birthday and a party of ten of us. The staff went above and beyond attending to us.the food was all served together everyone finished different foods we ordered. They even turned lights off brought out a small cake with candle on it and balloons on the house. After the meal we was all given a baileys drink again on the house.it was lovely. We will be back again.thank you to all at jewel in the crown

This is the best Indian restaurant in bury , food is amazing with fantastic staff . Nothing to much trouble for them . Highly recommend 👌

Very good food...had the set menu and they let us decide which main course we wanted...with wine and beers our bill came to less than £60 which in this current climate is a bargain...we definitely eat here again.

Staying in Bury for the weekend, I was hoping for a good curry. I ordered Chicken Dhansak but was unable to eat it. One mouthful was enough. The sauce was more like warmed-up water; not a sign of the key ingredient - lentils; no spices whatsoever. Maybe the chef forgot everything. I am hoping to forget this place.

In over 2 decades of eating here tonight had the worse experience ever, whilst having our starter the bloody main brought then told oh we close at 10pm, when I said that this was not our problem all I got was a shrug of tge shoulder. They were even taking the condiments when people still paying 😢😢

I found the food excellent. My only gripe is that they don't have hot plates to keep the food warm.

Staff not interested when I asked a question about a dish. Meal I had was very bland and another place that does not have 'food warmers' on the table

I have been eating here since a young lad with my family this restraunt has amazing food and the most amazing staff members, if you are dining in bury there is no where else you should eat apart from here

Had a takeaway from here last Tuesday as my usual go to place was closed. I was very impressed with the quality of the food, the Lamb balti was excellent, the poppadoms lovely and fresh. The staff were very friendly also.This will be my go to place from now on.

Took family that was visiting from Scotland for a curry. Staff recommended a lamb dish which was excellent. The service was great, nothing was too much trouble. The manager was a fantastic host and really took time to speak to us. The next time family visits we will definitely be going again especially with a discount for dining before 6pm.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Myself and my partner have been here a couple of times now the latest time being valentines day. The staff are extremely polite and respectful, the service is amazing, and the food for the price is outstanding. I would highly recommend the jewel in the crown to absolutely anyone you will not be disappointed.

Very poor. We booked table for 7pm, waited 45mins before we got table for 4. The best part of meal was rice. I ordered meat samosas got vegetable. Main course didn't arrive until 9pm. General consensus was that main was about average and never again. Not as good as Ruposhi by a long way.

Absolutely excellent service food was gorgeous I had lamb dansak hubby had lamb madras, lamb was done beautifully, bhaji and simosa were gorgeous with salad, sadly we couldn't manage desert but they looked delicious, will definitely be back 😋 😀

What a great place is it, it's a family run business, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. We always enjoy the food every time we go, it's delicious. Ignore the reviews over 1* and read the poor reviews. We are an Asian family and this food couldn't be more than far away from Asian. It's bland, no spices, believe all the reviews from Asian families. Poor is a compliment

Best value for money Indian restaurant in Bury.

High quality food with high quality service. They always look after you when you visit their restaurant. Always jammed packed busy but this never affects service. Fast service and fairly good turnaround on food. shame they don't have their own carpark but there's onstreet parking around the side.

Definitely my favourite Indian restaurant .. i ve been coming here now for around 14 years.. The food is spot on .. great value for money and lots of dishes to choose from, my favourite curry at the moment is the Balti Chicken Tikka’masala. So tasty !! The staff are so lovely, friendly and hard working. It can be very busy tho so best to book ahead especially over a weekend. You won’t be disappointed if you are a fan of finest Indian Cuisine. Highly recommended !

Terrible attitude terrible service HMRC need to look into this. We booked a table for 9.30 turned up at 9.45 I phoned them to tell them and made to feel like criminals waiter rude owner even worse avoid at all costs Greed more important than customer service was the order of the day 😔

Visited one busy Saturday night after we couldn't get a table at Nandos at The Rock. The restaurant was extremely busy when we arrived but we were seated and had our order taken quickly. The team working were excellent and very attentive. Id definitely recommend the Chicken Balti.

We decided to pop in here last minute as we heard it was good and new to the area hadnt tried it yet and decided to eat out. They accommodated us even though they were busy and we hadn't booked. first Impressions warm, hospitable, really old school curry house. I haven't had such a nice experience at a restaurant in a long time. From start to finish service was impeccable. They took my coat, madr sure we were comfortable , offered us drinks, checked on us, didn't rush and even offered us a complimentary drink at the end The food was lovely no issues at all. I cannot fault this place at all. We will definitely go back the best restaurant we have been in ages. High end restaurants should take note of their customer service

I've been back to visit Indian restaurant after many visits in the past . Services is top class as was the food and drinks. If you are visiting Bury Manchester as we do for the East Lancashire Railway, then to round the day off at this Indian restaurant.

Let me make you well aware of the amazing people that own this place. I recently had all my tools robbed from my van. As a result of eating at this amazing place over the years I've picked up work for the owners. Tonight mr Khan sat beside me and offered to help buy my tools back. It's thousands of pounds. I'm a proud man just like he is so I chose to struggle and decline the offer. After the misfortune I've had it completely changed my mood. There's still some good in people and I'd just like to say thankyou to Mr Khan and the family. Good to have friends like you!

Excellent tasty food. Used the take away option. Of especial note was the request for lassi (which they serve in the restaurant). At their request I brought a carrier (large thermos). Freshly made after I arrived for the food. Great service.

They might have been too busy, as there were two large parties, but my samosa was hot outside, cold inside, which is quite inappropriate. The saag gosht was ok, a bit small compared to the large balti portions others were getting.

This place is fantastic and never disappoints food is always tasty and excellent with great service and friendly atmosphere highly reccomnend it to all who want an amazing curry night can't fault it 10/ out of 10. X

Staff so unfriendly and quite rude. We went as a last minute decision on the way back from a day out. Ordered at 5:40pm (before 6pm on a Sunday you get 20% off) bill came and no 20% off was told we all needed to have a main course, we ordered 1 main between our 2 sons and then had a naan bread, 1 doesn’t eat a lot so was plenty. This wasn’t explained to us otherwise we would have ordered 2 kids meals to get the 20% off. Good was okay not the best but not the worst. Won’t be going back though, definitely need new staff! Not hard to be polite and smile.

Great place just wish they did more vegetable dishes

We were staying in Burrs Country Park and last Sunday night, we went into Bury for a meal. We hadn't pre-booked, but there was plenty of room. I can't fault the staff who were lovely, however, the food was very disappointing. The four of us had different meals and all were poor. We would describe them as edible but tasteless and the sauces they came in all tasted the same! Unfortunately, we will not be back and cannot recommend the place.

Food is very average. Service is good. Only went because we were invited on a birthday do and it was half price Sunday. I would never choose to go, much better places with more authentic and tasteful food.

The samosas needed more filling and some spice. The sauce with the mixed grill was fabulous. Everything else was very good.

Went here on Tuesday 04/04/23 for an early evening meal. The service was really good an well attended. The food was absolutely spot-on an exactly as expected. We have been before and never been disappointed and would recommend it to everybody. Well worth a visit, oh and did I mention the price was amazing and the food was amazing!

Last night was the first time we have been here and the food was excellent. I am coeliac so worry about eating at new places however I had no need with this place....the knowledge about allergens/gluten free was exceptional!! This will be our new go to place in Bury. Thank you 😊

Had early dinner with my wife today. We ordered popaddoms, king prawn butterfly as starters, lamb tikka masala, karahi lamb, plain naan and fried rice as our main dishes. Every item was good quality and tasty. Though we were not sure that they were India authentic. The dish stood out the meal was Karahi Lamb. Costwise, we enjoyed 20% off our total bill, it was really a good deal. We will definitely visit again to enjoy the 20% off offer.
