Shahanshah Tandoori in Broxbourne

Went to the buffet but they wouldnt serve me because I was on my own. Told me minimum 2 people. Said I will pay the price and their response was a lot of dishes, you have to be minimum 2 people. I would give it a 0 if I could

Apparently you can’t have the Sunday buffet on your own. However this isn’t stated anywhere until you walk all the way there. Like the surprise “cash only” complaints below they seem to like to hide certain rules. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area so I won’t miss them.

Went for Sunday buffet, we dont eat lamb so the lamb dish offered they swapped for a dish of our choice. Food was delicious and well worth the money, would highly recommend as the staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Went for a Sunday buffet dinner. After a 240 mile drive , well worth the drive. Will defo do it again .

Went in with family for dinner Worse Indian food Iv tasted £150 of wasted money meat was tough both chicken and lamb dishes all dishes were tasteless an watery ordered egg fried rice tasted disgusting like it had been cooked in old oil pilau rice tasted like plain boiled watery rice Bombay potato lack of taste an dry for an Indian or the spices are definitely missing from all dishes I reckon it’s the cleaner doing the cooking as it’s definitely not an Indian chef as who would send food out so tasteless save ya money as going here your be chucking it away on a load of rubbish that’s inedible

Our first time at this restaurant. Very welcoming staff. We had take away on this occasion but the restaurant looked very clean with modern decor. Great food!!

What a hidden gem, just got back from an evening with friends. The food was delicious, the owner is a lovely man. We booked table online and received a 20% discount on the food. Would definitely recommend a visit. I will definitely be going back again

Ordered a delivery tonight at 7:20pm. Still waiting at 8:30 even though we were told 50mins! Phoned up to enquire where our food was after 8:30… not even left the restaurant yet! Would we like a bottle of coke to compensate?!!!! Order cancelled! Do NOT BOTHER ordering from here if you want your food within the suggested timeframe! Shocking!!!

This is a take away review. Ordered our food t9ok nearly 2 hrs to finally arrive n when it did (after numerous phone calls and constantly being told 'its 5 mins away), it arrived.... wrong ! Order was wrong, Food was warm at best and tasteless ! Over £70 for late awful cold food !! We stopped using this place a while ago for the exact same reasons n thought we'd give them another try... nothings changed ! Without any doubt, the WORST INDIAN FOOD IN CHESHUNT !!

Highly reccomend! Party of 7 dining in and the staff were more then welcoming , Absolutely amazing Food ! We all had lots of different curry's, rice, naan breads and everything was fresh and tasted amazing! My youngest daughter had chicken nuggets and chips and they totally looked after her too and got ketchup in a little pot . Just a really great experience. Will definitely be back when we are back in the area ! Thankyou to all the staff ✨️

This is the best indian I've had. I've been raving about it ever since. Delicious vegetable rice, onion bahji and Dupiaza curry.

Delicious food, beautifully fresh and perfectly spiced. Highly recommend the chicken pasanda and chicken dopiaza. The saag aloo was the best I’ve tasted.

What a great find, we just moved to the area and decided to order a takeaway from this restaurant and the food was beautiful, my mum was with us who has worked in India over the years and she said how good the flavours were. I really enjoyed the South Indian garlic chilli king prawn. They were very friendly and gave me a complimentary Cobra while I waited. Look forward to eating here again!

Having just returned from overseas working in Falkland Islands for 3 years…with a distinct lack of Indian restaurants I was delighted with my welcome back curry and dishes. The food was excellent and staff attentive and friendly. Treated to complimentary onion bjajos which also tasted lovely. Fitting return and we will also return again!!

This Indian started off really well when first opened. It was good value for money with excellent food and service. Unfortunately, it's gone RAPIDLY downhill n now one of the worst Indian Take Aways in the area. Food is disgusting, orders are normally wrong n missing items and we've been overcharged twice now ! It's one to avoid....

Honestly when they first open they were great. The last 2 times have made me not want to go back. Lamb jalfrezi that was definitely not the usual, the biriyini which is usually good was like having uncle Ben's rice with boiled lamb. Seems like either ownerships changed or the chef can't be asked.

We ordered chicken biryani, it was amazing.. just that too spicy, all eyes and nose became watery…next time will ask them to make less spicy..

Ordered food at 17:55 arrived 19:25. Called twice only to be told the food on its way. Very poor service, food barely warm and no refund for inconvenience. Would not recommend.

Worst meal ever, late, cold, burnt poppadoms, naan and chicken tikka masala had hard, grisslly chicken. Half size portions on vegetables too ..

Worst service ever!! Waited almost an hour for food. Secondly their appetizers are only onion and food colour, not whatever is listed there. Thirdly provided with sides and curries while you stare at plates waiting for the main. Fourth provided one table napkin for a table of 5. Fifth the staff will take 30 minutes to commute to the kitchen to carry back a heavy load of a single roti in a small bowl! And they can carry only one plate/cup at a time. Go at your own risk.

Ordered takeaway Saturday night and food was excellent can't fault at all, will be definitely ordering again from Shahanshah again next time we have curry.

Worst service and experience I have ever received. Rude. Would not answer the phone. Took over 1 hour 30mins for my order to even leave the restaraunt. Kept lying to me and saying it had left. Kept hanging up the phone on me. Being very rude. Asked to cancel the order numerous times. Doesn’t pick up the phone. So I have no food and they took my money. Would not recommend!!

Booked a table for 9pm. I was advised the 2 for £20 was cash only. The waiter was lurking around and we felt rushed. There was only us and another couple. They weren’t very friendly and quite rude not welcoming. We were told that the 2 for £20 did include prawns they didn’t have them, which were clearly on the menu. I was asked twice if we were ready for next part of meal then had to wait ages. When we left the restaurant there was a sign which showed method of payments the restaurant took. Why the deal was cash only I don’t know. The only positive the food was nice.

I went to the Sunday buffet for £11.99. This is a great price for an all-you-can-eat buffet. The big 660ml beers were relatively cheap at under £5. The waiter seemed like he genuinely cared about people and providing an authentic dining experience. The taste of all the food was good. Also no service charge was forced upon on us they what happens at some other restaurants were the "optional" service charge actually ends up being compulsory. Hence we were aware of what we were going to pay from the beginning and had no nasty surprises.

This Bangladeshi restaurant is super! Very delicious food! It has your regular curries, and also some innovative, creative, tasty dishes. I’m hooked!!!

We came in as a team on a Wednesday evening, and the food and service was fantastic. The food was fresh, full of flavour and not oily. Staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We will definitely be returning :)

We have used the same tandoori restuarant for years and thought we would try something different to make sure we werent getting stuck in a rut. How wrong we were !!! We ordered on line and was informed it would be around 45 mins wait, which is about standard. After an hour i called to see what was ahppening and was told that the order had left and was on its way, (we only live 5-10 mins away) so after another half an hour i called again and was told it was on its way and the driver has three deliveries, so i just have to wait. I enquired about whether my food would be cold when it arrived and i was told it will be just right. The food finally arrived, was only luke warm so needed to be microwaved also i have never seen so much oil in a dish. Will definitely be going back to our original restuarant from now on.
