Shah Jehan in Peterborough

Food was on the time it said however the quality really wasn’t great. Quite tasteless and very watery. The rice and curry was sitting in water in the bowl.

Ordered a small meal last night, was ready quickly, food presented really well, the portions were generous, the naan breads were stuffed well and a good size and the salad/sauce was far above the usual standard. Thank you

The food was didn't taste right it tasted like it was cooked a few days before and was reheated

The chicken in the chicken biriani was was very dry and did not taste fresh. The spicy kashmir nan bread still tasted doughy and under cooked. The onion bhaji were lovely, but all in it was very disappointing and most of it went in the bin.

I don’t normally do reviews but I am disappointed with the food. Rice was stodgy no flavour. Chicken had no flavour and no salad with the starter. Had a few bites then when in the bin no flavour was so dry. Only thing that had flavour was nann bread

Sweet staff. Ordered lamb karai. He gave us complimentary rice. Liked the taste. Well-cooked. They have culinary magazines in waiting area. I cant help appreciate aesthetic sense of a place. So i enjoyed my time while waiting for food.

I've been ordering from Shah Jehan for a good few years now but the quality of food the past few months has gone downhill. Lamb rogan was watery and completely tasteless, the rice never had any flavour either. This has happened on two seperate occasions so unfortunately, we won't be returning customers.

This has been my go to Indian for a while now but the last couple of times the dishes have been very watery and lacked any flavour or just far too much tomato. Don’t know if they’ve changed chef but it’s certainly not the food we used to enjoy… might be time to try somewhere else unfortunately.

This was a big order for a birthday meal. Normally this is the go-to for a curry in Peterborough, but this day everything was downhill. The coriander chicken wasn't even that lovely bright green colour, and tasted nothing like our previous orders. The lamb podina lacked in flavour and needed salt. Salt was missing in most dishes and they were very oily, which is a first for Shah Jehan. I'm not sure if there's a new chef or if the main one was off, but the quality really dropped here.

Not an Indian restaurant. No spice, tasted more like a mix of middle eastern and british cuisine. Was certainly not cooked by someone knowledgable in asian cuisine. Shocking, never had such an experience around here and especially since I followed the generally good reviews this place has. Would never order again as it was disappointing.

Been using this restaurant for takeaways for many years, can't fault the food but realised after ordering from their website that over the years they have been adding 0.50p service charge to every transaction, we let it go as we enjoy the food so much and delivery always on time, but now they are also charging to deliver even though we spend between £25-£35 each time we order, this with the 50p adds up so might have to find somewhere else for our Saturday night takeaways.

Food took over 2 hours to arrive from 10 min away. App said it was with the driver then after reporting as late they added another 20 min on to expected time. Called them when it was late again to be told we are busy darling. Chicken tikka curry a bland watery slop, bhuna tastless, prawn puri strangely sweet and fries mush. The best thing was the cold boiled rice. Requested a refund before the food arrived but apparently it hadn’t come through from just eat so nothing they can do. Complete waste of time and money

First time ordering - and won’t be the last. Really good portion sizes, amazing flavours, absolutely delicious. Really lovely delivery driver too.

Within minutes of dishing up I used 6 sheets of kitchen roll to soak up the water as the sauce completely seperated. Naan Bread was not like any naan bread I’ve ever had, it was like wholemeal flour. The chicken was so over cooked it was like stewed steak. Found 261 reviews majority were the same name.

Sadly the curry separated and I had a plate full of water. Chicken was like stewed steak. Onion bhaji was very good.

We had a takeaway delivered to Bayard Plaza Apartments as visiting for a couple of days. What a lovely takeaway. The man who answered the phone was great and called when on way to meet us outside. The food was hot and tasted incredible. Definitely recommend

OMG Tandoori king prawns were huge and amazing, we had a delivery and prawns don't always travel well but these were something special, cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. Always enjoy the food but tonight's food was exceptional.

We regularly order a delivery from here and the reason being, it is consistently good! It is always delivered on time by a really lovely guy. The food is tasty, good portions and good value. We’ve also eaten at the restaurant and have never been dissapointed 😊

Friendly lady on the phone took our order and read it back to confirm . Food came in about an hour which she advised of . Chicken madras, lamb biryani, seekh kebab, sag aloo and rice all nice . Samosas wernt very crispy and the nan breads wernt great either. £38 cost which isn’t bad as was plenty of food which would of probably done 4 people .
