What a gem , unusual Indian Gastro ! Brilliant intro to table, polite and efficient , great value, vibrant atmosphere without being over-bearing (I'm sensitive to noise), the lamb curry was superb, delivered with a smile and good manners.

We come to here regularly for lunch, the food is always delicious and service is always great. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try ☺️✨

Tandoor food lovely if a little too salty. Nice to be able to pair food with decent beer selection. Easy going vibe and safe bet.

Lovely welcome, brilliant keg beer and Indian tapas. We would love somewhere similar in our town………,,, day out with my wife.

As a coeliac sufferer I was so impressed with the way they were quick to specify what was gluten free and what was suitable for those with coeliac disease. The food was amazing! Hot, fresh, well cooked and so flavoursome. We had a wonderful meal which was reasonably priced and every single staff member we dealt with was kind, corteous and really helpful. Overall a great experience and will be going back for sure!

Monday night I arrived here directly from USA and I went there with my cousins the food was outstanding and. The service was so fast and the atmosphere inside was wonderful and cozy the big wave Golden ale is banging 🍻👍 I recommend to visit here for sure

OMG. Went in with an average expectation and was own away by almost every aspect. Food on a short menu was stunning and I sampled three meals and they were all amazing. Add in lovely staff and fast service what more can you ask for . Thanks for a truly great meal, that is not your traditional Indian menu. Being different can be good

Not very experienced with Indian food, but there was a large group of us, and I had a lamb curry with rice and it was delicious and was spiced just like I asked for.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon for drinks and food. Really warm welcome and offered a table straightaway even though we hadn’t booked. Great food, drinks and service. The onion bhajis and chicken palak were amazing. Will certainly be back!

Fantastic Indian Cuisine! Tap Tandoor is a hidden gem for Indian food lovers! The flavors are rich, the spices are perfectly balanced, and the service is warm and welcoming. An amazing experience other than my curry was cold however it been rectified straight away after complaining and been addressed.

Ella was amazing as is the food. We found this place randomly because it just smelt absolutely amazing from the street. Top quality food, amazing flavours and the staff are perfect.

First time customer recently, on a Friday evening. We hadn't booked (it was a spur of the moment decision whilst in town) but fortunately they had a spare table for the two of us. We were warmly welcomed and the service was very efficient and also friendly. The food was delicious. I was driving so chose a watermelon based mocktail which was lush. Perfect! I'd definitely go back and certainly recommend based on this visit.

Came here for my son’s 10th Birthday, the staff were excellent. They couldn’t do enough for us, the food came out quickly and everything was perfect. Loads of vegetarian options and great beer choices.

They had a beer on called (sic) Random beer which is little better than an £1 beer from Tesco.... To be honest, I should have taken this as a sign. If the intention of this place was to be a fusion of mediocre beer, and mediocre curry - then they hit the nail on the head, excelling in neither - and frankly - if you want a good night out - and decent beer and curry - then there are plenty of places where you can get one - and then move on to another location to get the other. This establishment excells in neither and coats it with excessive noise - no intimacy. There is very little to like here. If you want average, this, average that and are prepared to shout to be hear across your table - then this is the place for you - sadly therefore - they have the recipe for success.... just not for me.

Services is good, will ask the staff to recommend a curry next time as the one I ordered was a little too mild compared to what I was hoping for

Love this place. Ghe staff and ownership are just brilliant. Always take time to get to know you, they always know what drink, in what glass etc!! Brilliant. And the way they opened up the doors for one our mates who unfortunately passed a few days ago has been amazing. It feels like a really little family in there. Easy 5 stars!!!

Really great first experience at Tap & Tandoor. Food arrived super quickly and was tasty. We ordered naan sliders, chilli paneer, chilli chicken, aloo tikki chaat, masala fries and the bhajis between 2 people - it was a lotttt of food! Fries were to die for :) Jayde was also super lovely and accommodating. We’ll be back :)

Amazing! Nothing to complain about. Best butter chicken ever and great selection of beers. Don’t pass the chance to grab some food and a pint, you won’t regret.

Fantastic food,good company,beer and curry for a catch up what do you need on a Monday evening.

Overall service is excellent with good range of starters. Won’t recommend at all for the main courses, they are not definitely authentic Indian. Do not waste time and efforts if you really want to try authentic Indian Menu.

As we entered the establishment we were greeted promptly, got given a nice table and service was excellent all night. Our waiter explained the various menus to my table and took the time to explain the various wines. Service and atmosphere was great all night despite the place being busy due to it being near Christmas time. 5/5 from me, would definitely come again and recommend to my friends and family

We get so well looked after by the team. We go in 2/3 times a year for a big feast and a few drinks, the team remember us and make us feel welcome. The food and drinks are both as good as it gets. The mixed grill is our go to. We tried the hot coconut curry this time, which will be added to the standard order next time!

Thank you so much to everyone at the Tap & Tandoor for making my sisters birthday celebration meal so special. Excellent service, waiters don’t even need to write anything down they remember it all, and we were a table of 5! Very friendly, funny, nothing was too much trouble. They even made my mum a personalised cocktail as she wasn’t sure what she would like. A personal touch you don’t really get in many other places in Peterborough. The food was incredible as always! Some of the best Indian food we have ever had and come here often for special occasions. It was so lovely that my sister got a complementary cocktail and brownie with a candle in! Really made the night. Can’t wait to return again!!

Great service, great food. It was very busy when we visited but the staff handled it really well. It could probably be a little loud if you're after a more personal meal, but that said the atmosphere wasn't in any way rowdy or negative.

The lamb curry at Tap & Tandoor Peterborough is a flavor sensation! The lamb is incredibly tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection in a rich and aromatic sauce. The spices are perfectly balanced, creating a symphony of taste in every bite. The generous portions make it great value. Great atmosphere and amazing service. Highly recommended!

Puedo ver por qué, la comida era irreal, todo estaba cocinado a la perfección, el pollo simplemente se desmoronó en ambos currys - mantequilla pollo y palak de pollo. Best Restaurant in Peterborough and obviously so when it’s fully booked 4 nights of the week but still manage to fit you in . Selection of ales is well thought out and different from the corporate offerings. Food and Service always world class

Had a lovely meal, good as always, my favourite Indian restaurant in Peterborough, never fails to please their customers and has a good selection of ciders to appreciate.

I was recommended to here and i wasn't disappointed. Two of my favourite things ..... Craft beer and Curry. I was offered a flight of 3 beers.(3x1/3 of a pint). So nice to be able to sample 3 different ones. I ordered the fish curry, pilau rice, onion bhaji, and naan. Beautiful medium spiced curry with good chunks of fish. The two onion Bhaji were almost the size of tennis balls !!! Naan bread soft and good for wiping my dish clean. Excellent service. They even asked which beer I liked best. Price was £22.70 for the food. £7 for the beer. I will be returning and will definitely recommend.
