I had the pleasure of sampling several items from the menu, and each one was a delightful treat for the taste buds. The avocado toast, topped with creamy avocado, cherry tomatoes, and a sprinkle of chili flakes, was a refreshing and flavorful choice for breakfast. The chicken and avocado sandwich, served on freshly baked bread with a side of crispy fries, was a satisfying and comforting option for lunch.

I went here with my father for lunch and had the worst experience. The service was very slow, (unprofessional waitress) and when the food arrived (I had fish and chips), the fish was disgusting, and seemed to get worse the more I ate it, and I ended up having to leave half the dish. Mushy peas were unpleasant and oddly arrived half way through my main course, with no apology from the waitress. The staff could see we had finished eating but made no effort to clear up our plates. We have a Tastecard and on paying, they tried to claim that they were no longer accepting the Tastecard, but it is advertised on the Tastecard App that they do! The male member of staff was particularly abrasive with me, and should be re-trained in the art of customer service. They ultimately refused to accept the Tastecard. We should have just gone to MacDonalds for our lunch - the service and food would have no doubt been much better. Avoid the Seymours Restaurant at the Leonard Hotel!

Came here with my family for an afternoon tea after a friend’s recommendation. Regardless the problems faced because OpenTable screwed the booking up (not notifying them), they were able to find a place where to sit us down. The service was amazing, very polite and professional, and the scones&tea delicious! Nice music low enough so we can talk to each other and the decoration is a very nice one. Certainly a wonderful place to have a chat with family/friends and play some board games as well.

My daughter and I booked a table here at 8pm on a Saturday evening and were very surprised that there was only one other solo diner in the restaurant which didn't bode well. The restaurant itself is very quaint with lots of paintings and old photographs on the walls and with sumptuous curtains at the windows, which gave the feeling of being in a Victorian parlour. However, the background music was completely at odds with this which made it all a bit unreal. The staff were very attentive, not surprising as they had so little to do with the restaurant being almost empty! The menu was quite limited and the food was very disappointing and very expensive for what it was - I had spinach, artichoke and pine nut risotto and my daughter had spaghetti Bolognaise, both of which were over £15 and very average, not what we were expecting in the way of flavour. There were only two desserts on the menu so we didn't bother.I was using a Taste Card so the food was half price, otherwise it would have been even more of a disappointment. All in all a big let down and not somewhere we'd go back to.

We went to the Seymours with an Amazon Local 50% discount voucher on a 3 course set menu incl. a glass of champagne for GBP 98. Indeed the menu was officially priced a GBP 98, but our view was that this was massively overpriced and at best it was worth the GBP 49 we actually paid. My wife had some prosciutto as a starter while I had smoked salmon. The prosciutto wasn't fresh and was sticking to the gum. The salmon was tasty and also came as a big portion. As main we both had a steak which came with some fries, a mushroom and a tomato, with a small leave salad on the side. The leaves were already brownish, but the steak was tasty. As a desert we had some ice cream (just 3 scopes in a bowl) and cheesecake. Over all we would rate the food as ordinary pub foot, but by no means fine dining or stylish. Only two tables were taken and the place lacks atmosphere and style. On the positive it is worth mentioning that the staff was very friendly. Nevertheless, we were rather disappointed given how the place was advertised and we can not recommend it.
