Seven Stars in Southwark

In many respects it's a generic Chinese takeaway, that said, I'm a regular customer. If you're someone that prefers your food more spicy they gladly offer chilli in a small plastic container, on the side. Myself, I prefer to ask for them to make it more spicy generally, during the cooking. This, they are happy to do.

The best Chinese takeaway in London, always so delicious and portions are perfect. The woman who answers the phone is always so polite and friendly and their chefs are amazing. Beautiful food!!! Highly recommend :)

Special fried rice tasted very bland and reheated. Left an after taste in my mouth like the food was old. Do not waste your money and move on.

First time ordering from here. Food was hot and fresh. King prawn balls and chicken balls were amazing. Generous portions too. Plenty leftover for a midnight munch.

Great Chinese takeaway - really good British Chinese food, well seasoned, generous portions. Their Singapore noodles are one of the best I've ever had. They are our now our go-to Chinese takeaway, and always look forward to ordering from them.

We ordered chicken with ginger and spring onions, roast pork chop suey and fried beef in spicy honey sauce. First one has no taste, second one is no better either and last one felt like an experiment. Sadly no authentic food here.

It's a local shop, not to eat in, to take away, and they have a delivery service. I like their food lots. They are very nice and friendly owners.

These guys were my go to Chinese place for years. The quality, portions and taste was superb but not anyone. Something has changed and it's not for the good. The last few orders i've made were bland and disappointing.

Just moved to area so first time ordering from here. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Spent over £17 so the food was delivered for free. Friendly efficient staff too. Happy days 😃

I would drop seven stars if I could (best Chinese place)

Just dropped by here for the first time to pick up some takeaway westernised Chinese food. Very delicious, great value and nice service.

Wow. This used to be brilliant but tonight's food was totally bland. The chicken was tough and tasted reheated which was the only taste from the curry dish! Perhaps a new chef has taken over. Real shame.

Best chow mein in Southwark. All food that we ordered so far tastes so good and fresh. You should order their Chef’s Special Chow Mein, it will change your life. Patrons really keep coming back. Receptionists and cooks are very friendly as well. ❤️

Reasonably priced and quick service

Been ordering from these guys for a few years now, and have never had a bad meal. I will not eat from any other Chinese.

The food is the mediocre, less than average according to authentic Chinese food standards. It is the typical western style 'Chinese' with sweet and sour sauce. On their menu says "xxx duck (Chinese style)", it was covered with sweet and sour sauce with soy beans at the bottom.

Sooo happy! Tried the fried chicken with cashew in bean sauce and Singapore fried rice. Super tasty and generous portions! People are really helpful and it was ready so fast. Thank you!

It has been a long while since I’ve enjoyed a Chinese takeout. My son recommended Seven Stars. I was not disappointed. The food was sooo nice 😋

ordered online and thought i was getting good food. ordered from here before and it was good. ordered this time and the rice turned up clumped together and hard not edible at all i ordered a “plain” chow mein for my child and they sent a chicken chow mein and it tasted absolutely horrendous. the salt and pepper chicken was hard i couldn’t even put a fork in it to serve it up absolutely terrible will not be ordering again.

Best value for money and quality. They were going to quit and pack up during covid but I begged them to stay ... I’m so glad they did. Now they are so busy and the food is still very good quality. Prawn toast meat is thick and pink... salt n pepper squid is rolled - not flat pieces.. Hot n Sour soup just hits the spot in term so tangy-ness They also happily accommodate me for not eating pork and will substitute it for chicken. Good front counter girl.
