Atmosphere is really calming and staff is amazing and Diego made my experience even better with excellent customer service! I felt very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day at work! I also loved seeing how clean and tidy it is kept!

The staff was incredibly helpful. We felt welcomed and confortable.

Cute seating area if you come at a peaceful hour, nice ambient lighting - credits for the atmosphere given it’s a fast food chain. However, if you eat in they could give you better bowls than the takeaway pots as it makes the dish kinda awkward to eat. Also, don’t get the gyoza ramen as the gyozas completely disintegrate into the soup :((

I wanted to take a moment to share my wonderful experience at your Bankside location during lunchtime today. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by a manager at the front door, which immediately created a welcoming atmosphere. When I asked if I could have some extra soy sauce, the manager, Denisa, went out of her way to quickly retrieve one for me since it was behind the counter. While this may seem like a small gesture, her attentiveness and willingness to help truly stood out. She also took a moment to ask about my day, and when I mentioned that I had had better days, she showed genuine kindness by asking if there was anything that could make it better. To my surprise, she then offered me a chocolate mochi, saying that sometimes a little sweetness can brighten our day. That thoughtful act, combined with her warm and caring attitude, genuinely made a difference and turned my day around. It’s not every day that you come across someone in hospitality who goes above and beyond in such a meaningful way. I wanted to personally thank Denisa for her exceptional customer service. She truly cares about her customers, and her kindness made my visit to Itsu a memorable one. I hope she receives the recognition she deserves for embodying the spirit of great service. I had the pleasure of dining at Itsu Bankside yesterday, and I must say it was an excellent experience! The food was fresh, delicious, and vibrant, as always – their sushi and rice bowls never disappoint. But what truly made this visit memorable was the exceptional service provided by Abhi, the manager. Abhi went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect, and his warm, attentive attitude really made the difference. It's rare to come across such a dedicated and caring manager, and it’s clear that he takes pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest. I’ll definitely be coming back to Itsu Bankside soon, and I hope to see Abhi again! Highly recommend this location for great food and even better service!

Quite a variety of vegan dishes at a good price. The drinks are expensive. In some curry dishes they put an unidentifiable sauce that is very bad with the texture of cream. It is self service even to order. You can only pay by card.

Exciting and good food, but the salmon could have been better

Excellent restaurant. During my week long stay in London, I returned here often and enjoyed it. For decent money, you'll always find something great here. The sushi is fresh even in the evening. I really appreciate the option to take more wasabi and sauces. Just be careful - the restaurant is cashless.

Safra here is so kind. She offered to make us a baby avo roll (or for someone in the back to do it) when there was hardly any food left at the end of the day. Great customer service!

Nice big place though was empty and the reason was the food. It was insipid and inedible. We’ve eaten at Itsu about 4 years ago at Stansted Airport and it was delicious. Someone needs to check this branch out and fix the food there to it’s true glory.

Nice and empty, chili chicken gyoza upon noodles the perfect lunchtime meal. Lacked a bit of oomph though.

What a nice visit I had. Food was delicious as usual. But Denisa really made my day. I was so down about some personal stuff and she approached me with a big smile and quick chat. Food on the go!! Very good, touch screen menu And your foods ready in no time. Not a gourmet meal nor fast food. Quite a funky atmosphere for such a busy quick bite sort of place. I’ll be back for more.

Hardly "healthy" - Itsu's "sushi" is full of vegetable / seed oils and isn't a clean, real sushi at all

Really like the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. The place is always really busy but service still within a couple of minutes

Consistent food as ever with Itsu. Staff friendly given the computer ordering system. Toilets and tables were not cleaned but then there was only one staff member.

Bestellen kann man wie bei McDonald’s am Screen. Speisen aus der Kühltheke wie Makis oder Sushis oder Getränke gleich zum Mitnehmen und selber bezahlen. Warme Speisen werden in kürzester Zeit nach der Bestellung zubereitet. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis wirklich top, für sieben Pound Hauptspeisen mit genau richtigem Reis Fleisch und Gemüse Verhältnis, selten findet man sowas ihn angesagten Restaurants. Auch das Interieur überzeugt, Besteck Servietten, alles nachhaltig.

Schnelles Essen mit tollen Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Gerne wieder!

The restaurant serves rather ordinary meals. Salmon sushi didn't taste like salmon. For the duck baos, I'm still wondering what the meat was... We were quite disappointed because it seems like we paid for the brand, not for the food.

Had a really disappointing “Healthy and Happy” sushi box for lunch this week and haven’t felt right since. Not the Itsu standard I used to know and love

The sushi really wasn't good: it was tough, the rice was undercooked and not sticky enough and had dried out around the edges. The maki was scantily filled and poorly cut. I had heard that the sushi at Itsu was better than at Wasabi, where I always go, but based on this experience I would have to disagree. The service was friendly and helpful, though.

Very nice quality of food but service was even better. Manager with glasses was very helpfull and patient Definitely I will come back!

We got 2 sets of different sushi (plus hot food) in both of sets there was 1 type of sushi gone off. It was refunded,but in refund was gone off too

Good food, reasonably priced and filling. Lid came off and leaked as I left however, which meant I lost some valuable soup.

Quality of the food is going down but the main reason for one star is that my ramen box leaked. The bag got wet and my 9£ ramen ended up on the pavement. So not a great day.

Yesterday around 5PM me and my partner dine in the Borough Market branch. The same evening we both had stomach sickness that got better only now, after 24 hours. The restaurant was nearly closing during our visit and the food looked unfresh (but still edible in my opinion) Its impossible that we both fell suddenly sick for a different reason than the sushi we had. Can someone please look into it and reach me out? It might be more dangerous for other customers. I don't have a receipt but transaction was done via card payment so that can serve as a proof. We had 2x salmon full house set, chicken goyza, spicy salmon roll, and kambucha.

Many of their dishes are available in the fridges or in the warmer like the gyozas. You place and pay for your order via a large stand along touch screen, and anything that requires more ‘cooking’ is dished up and plated behind the counter. All the food is served as ready to go/take-away but you can sit in and eat. The counters and seats are all high, with condiments and chopsticks provided. The place is pretty with pops of pink and orchids dotted around. I drenched my chicken gyozas in soy sauce. These were steamed. Hot, kinda sticky and quite lush. Settling in my tummy very well. However it was the soup I had come for and boy does it live up to its name - Itsu’s Famous Coconut Chicken Soup. Popping the lid off released the wonderful aroma of coconut, ginger, Thai spices and warm chicken soup. It’s loaded with chicken, brown rice and seasonal greens. It was like a big hug and a side dish of contentment. I will definitely visit an Itsu cafe again. Their food is good and hearty and perfect for a quick stop off, quick bite to eat at lunch or dinner.

Bestellt wird an Tablets vor der Kasse, alles außer Hauptgericht aus dem Regal neben der Kasse entnommen. Hauptgericht war lecker und erstaunlich viel. Sehr empfehlenswert!

The quality of the sushi is worse every day. The rolls are badly cut as if they were using blunt knives.

Service is always quick, lots of terminals to order from so never waiting too long even at peak times. For eating in, the music can be a bit loud at times so not exactly the best atmosphere for sitting down and having a chat with someone.

Interesting automated fast food setup for Japanese food

The food is superb and the atmosphere is great. I always go here on lunch breaks when I have time (they also have a 10% student discount)

We got some food to take away, three drinks, one aloe vera drink, one ginger drink and a sparkly water, wealso hasva healthy suchi, a tuna and a salmon ricerolls and some chicken dumpling. Thefoodwas nicebutit costed us £37 which showsthebpriceshavereallygoneup since covid.. The food is niceand clean. We had to self check in and there weren't manybhumans behind the compter

“IT’su “ ok. I’m a London city worker. There’s only so many prets and Leon’s M&S you can do without being totally bored. Itsu is an alternative. Wasabi is better sushi. ITSU; Their rice bowls are bland. Chicken dumplings are decent. Need to improve selection. Pay stations are a joke. In busy periods should employ someone to man and oversee. Need urgently to give a varied fun experience. Will this business be around in 2 years. Doubt it.

Please can you stop using unripe hard avocados in your sushi!? Avocado is meant to be nice and ripe and soft!! Ruins the sushi and this happens all the time with the sushi in this itsu!

Very convenient with usual high quality sushi fresh and tasty, seaweed wasabi thins and Ginger Low drink. Also has WC. Overall modern, clean and tidy-excellent.

Fast and healthy food.The salads and Sushi are delicious. Nice and helpful staff behind the counter. The half price Sale 30 mins before the shop closes is perfect. Without the offer the prices are a little bit high comparing to German standarts ( But Hey, this ist London :) ). Wish itsu will come to us.

Been coming to this location regularly since it opened. However, wondering if anyone else has had issues recently with it making you ill? I’ve now had it four times over the last 5 weeks and three of those I’ve ended the day with severe gastric issues, the fourth just minor. I tend to have a mixture of sushi and a hot pot. I was hoping it was just coincidence but that’s too many times now to still be thinking that…

Been many times and always seems to hot the spot. Good sushi when in the mood but on cold lunchtimes, their hot rice pots are perfect. The Thai one just out does the teriyaki unless you crave that sweeter hit. Can't ever go wrong with pickled ginger with pretty much anything.

It's not me, Itsu. You're kind of OK when I'm really in the mood and just have to have it, but you're just a bit too plain and stodgy... and you can be a bit tasteless at times, which really puts me off. Tbh you're a bit too saucy sometimes and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth... and as for that bucket...well, its massive - you can have to much of a good thing & that grated ginger hanging over the sides is so 1970s...

Great service. Clean and organised. Decent prices. Never too busy. The food itself tastes great with a range of offerings. TIP: They make everything on the display area half price 30mins before close.

Best sushi and loved misou soup!

£7.19 for a bowl of rice, onion and peas with approx 100g of chicken. Tasted pretty terrible too. Sushi is pretty bland.

My default lunch destination for the past 2 months. It sometimes feels odd to go to the same store and pick up the same food. But, nothing to beat it. I must confess I've lost a lot of weight.

I tried the chicken noodle soup it was just perfect 👌

It is a nice fast-food restaurant for Japanese food. The food is nicely prepared and kept at the right temperatures for you to enjoy. Please keep in mind that it is fast-food though, so don't expect the best sushi you have ever had. One last thing to keep in mind, for eating in the price goes up, as it does at a lot of London places. This is good to know in advance.

Had the newest rice and chicken meal, it was filling and tasted very nice. It had peas, beans and thinly sliced carrots. The tables were clean as well.

Not overpriced (surprising for a venue inside the airport), friendly and attentive staff. Menu includes a wide range of sushis and mains. There are few confy sits with booths or regular pub type sits. A very good place for a meal on the go, I'll definitely stop again on my next trip.
