The tacos (we had the baja fish) are brilliant, the spice and flavour is perfectly balanced and doesn't overpower the fish, which is well cooked. The guacamole is also delicious and has a little kick to it which works perfectly. Would definitely recommend!

So food was pretty good. Salsa and guac are great. Lamb shank is not to be missed, some of the other combos are interesting I got one of the sampler plates and the mole. While the mole was very good it needed an acid to cut the richness when making tacos. Also some of the tacos needed it also. Mostly a personal preference and the only thing I would say I would change. On and the spicy margarita where devine if you are into spicy get one. If you are london and don't get mexican often you must come here.

It’s a beautiful place and the food is fantastic their sauces are delicious. The cocktails were amazing. One of the best parts was the service from Pedro; he made us feel at home, was very kind, and gave us great recommendations.

Had a lovely meal. We avoided the main dishes in favour of tostadas, and a mix of side dishes with soft tortilla and lots of Margheritas. Make sure you have the guacamole. Thanks Pedro for the friendly service - attentive but never intrusive.

Maybe I caught this place on an off day. The food was very average, apart from the guacamole which was fresh and tangy everything else was bland and unexciting. The pork belly and the beef rib had a similar flavour which is frankly bizarre. The sauce in the fish taco was lovely but the fish itself was on the edge of freshness in flavour. The service was rushed.

Quality dropped significantly. Used to be lovely serving very well toasted and seasoned tacos. Very disappointing main course (£41) sea bass - which was poorly cooked, small portion, lacks flavour. Tacos are soft and spongy. Ordered soft shell crab taco and pork belly taco which both used to be great. Now soft shell crab completely lacked the crispiness, also tastes weird. Pork belly is tough and overcooked. Doesnt not worth the price at all and truly disappointing.

It used to be very good but after today’s experience, I got very disappointed both with service and food. We ordered totopos with guacamole as starter to enjoy with our drinks, they forgot about it and when we reminded the waiter to bring, it came after a while with the main courses. We order the seabass to share (£41)!to make our own tacos and it was nothing different from what you will get at any restaurants. Lack of condiments, you could only add to your tacos onions and coriander, that’s all. In all honesty, when it is described in the menu that you can make your own taco, you expect more options add in. My husband ordered a glass of wine to have with the seabass which they forgot to bring, when we reminded the waiter to bring it, it came after a while when we were already well underway with the main courses. Additionally, we order a side of plantains, which they also forgot to bring. When we asked the waiter that there was no need to bring it anymore as we already finished, he brought it anyway and told us that was not going to be included in the bill. After that, we had to order in a rush a dessert as we were told that the kitchen was closing. When we ordered the bill, the plantains were in there, and when we told the waiter that we should not be charged for that side as per his colleague’s, he started to questioned us. I don’t think that we received a good service nor the food was as good as before.

Very poor service. The waiter kept forgetting what we ordered and we had to constantly remind him of what was missing. Food was very bland. We have been coming to this restaurant for many years and sadly the quality has dropped significantly. We were excited to try the seabass as a main (£41) but it was a total let down. We recommended this restaurant to so many people in the past but won't do this anymore I am afraid.

Ate here with the family. My wife is Mexican and I've been to Mexico a few times, so we're no strangers to Mexican food. We had, beef, crab and pulled pork tacos between the four of us. The bill came to £182!!!! That's taking the piss, fine dining this wasn't but bloody hell that's what I'd expect to pay at a 5 star restaurant! I mean the food was nice and the service was average, but we've had much better and for significantly less cost elsewhere.

Very good mezcal choices with a few different items that set it above the rest - especially in the neighbourhood. Albeit the portion size is a little small, the combination of the lime based guacamole and tasty topotes makes that a nice starter for anybody. While I was pushing for the pork belly, the server recommended tuna, which (surprisingly) I loved as it was a fantastic combination of crunchy and soft, salty and spicy. And then go back to a great Vetusto Ensemble madrecuishe mezcal. Overall great service and great food in a location normally reserved for sub-par tourist fare. Gotta say that this is a surprisingly awesome addition to the daily Bermondsey road fare as its right around the corner.

Beautiful restaurant with a lovely atmosphere.

No vivo en Londres, pero visita regularmente y realmente me apetecía un poco de buena comida mexicana en nuestra reciente visita. Elegí Santo Remedio después de mirar un montón de críticas y revisar el menú en línea. El restaurante en sí está muy bien decorado y tiene una sensación íntima. Elegimos una variedad de artículos del menú comenzando con guacamole y salsa. El guacamole era muy agradable, fresco y lo justo para 2 personas. La salsa sin embargo vino en los 2 tazones más pequeños (yo uso el término libremente) que he visto. Eran de unos 6 centímetros de diámetro y eran tan pequeños que tuve problemas para meter un chip a mojar. Simplemente se tiraron en la mesa de las manos de los servidores, no muy higiénico en mi opinión, ya que eran tan pequeños y deberían haber sido al menos puestos en un platillo con algunas cucharas para servir. Pedí una margarita especial de mezcal de guayaba que no era realmente de mi gusto, pero mi esposo dijo que sabía a cenicero y en cierto modo veo lo que quería decir, pero lo puse en una mala elección por mí. La red eléctrica era igualmente abrumadora. Los tacos, teníamos dos tipos: cerdo que eran los más bonitos de los 2 pero carecían de condimento y los tacos de pescado que no tenían sabor a nada más que aceite, ambos le añadimos un poco de la salsa verde minúscula que ayudó mucho! El maíz elote (mi guarnición mexicana favorita que siempre pido) era pequeño, arrugado y quemado en los extremos. El camote con yogur y cacahuetes tenía el potencial de algo realmente sabroso, pero desafortunadamente parecía que el espudín se había estado horneando durante horas y la piel era negra y amarga. ¡Qué pena que me encante comerme la piel! Si bien no pasó nada malo, el servicio era en mi opinión deficiente y por todas estas razones nunca volvería.

The staff was watching over you constantly, we didn’t enjoy the food so we had left some on the plate and the waiter then walked over to a member of staff and they came and looked at us and made us feel very uncomfortable. We was very much looking forward to the food sadly didn’t live up to expectations.

I had a really disappointing experience at Santo Remedio recently. I booked a 6pm reservation for three people under the pre-theatre menu, and we made sure to place our full order—including desserts—before the 6:30pm cut-off. Despite making it clear throughout the meal that we had to leave for the theatre by 7:20pm, we never received the desserts we had ordered and paid for. We flagged the issue with our server and the hostess multiple times, were assured it would be sorted, and even agreed to a substitution dessert that could be served quickly. Yet by 7:20pm, nothing had arrived and we had to leave without them—having paid in full, including a 13.5% service charge. I emailed the restaurant as advised by staff to request a refund for the missing items, but over 24 hours later, I've had no reply or acknowledgement. For a Michelin-recommended restaurant, this level of service and lack of follow-up is incredibly disappointing. I expect better from a place with this reputation, and hope they take this feedback seriously.

The only good taco I've had on this side of the Atlantic so far (I went for the pork belly). They also serve you actual grasshoppers in your tacos if you want though I wasn't going to try it. Guacamole was also excellent. Very busy even at 6pm on Friday night, had to sit outside, but they had heaters so it was bearable.

Dropped in with a friend on Tuesday night. Lucky we were early as it was busy! Food was fantastic and amazing cocktails as well.

The food is good, the atmosphere is cool. We took the tasting menu and a good option to have an overall overview and to be able to taste lots of things. But the service is much too fast, even oppressive, with dishes arriving too quickly (before the cocktails) and a team that wants to do well removes the dishes quickly even if we have not particularly finished

Santo Remedio - Asador is a great spot for Mexican food near Tower Bridge. The staff are friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed dining atmosphere. The lamb chops were absolutely fantastic—flavorful and perfectly cooked. There’s a good selection of dishes on the menu, and the margarita was well-made and refreshing. The location is convenient with easy access, making it a great choice for a casual meal or a night out. While everything was enjoyable, a little more variety in flavors or spice levels would have made it a full 5-star experience. Still, highly recommended for a solid Mexican meal in London!

We had a really lovely brunch today. The food was amazing and Pedro was an excellent host and waiter. He made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed as well as being very attentive re the bottomless brunch!!

Great margaritas spicy and good. Bees knees is good also. Took me a while to realise it's a word play on business. Btw Hubert's service was top notch, made the experience an enjoyable one. Will come back

The Bottomless Brunch Add-On was amazing, the tacos were divine and Pedro took incredibly good care of us. We were sat next to a very large table on Saturday and he could have easily forgotten about the three of us, but he was so attentive!

The pork belly and fish tacos are both great, as are the potato flautas.

Ate here in a group of seven on a Saturday night. It was very busy and pretty loud so if you like a high energy atmosphere this is likely a good place for you. Food was very good and arrived quickly whilst being fresh. Our server was extremely busy with tables but when we ordered drinks they arrived speedily. The Hibiscus margarita was particularly excellent

Started off with house margaritas which were delicious and then proceeded to go for the tasting menu which I’d highly recommend to give you the opportunity to try a few different dishes - the beef short rib with the chocolate mole sauce was honestly out of this world. A very popular spot it seems, the pork tacos were on another level of flavour and textures. All the food is served fast and flavourful! The staff are super polite and very attentive even in a packed restaurant. At the end for dessert I tried the Café de Olla, which to me tastes like Christmas in a cup! Orange and cinnamon syrup to instantly balance the espresso, delicious finish.

The tasting menu was fab. So much food- was great value for money. Our server Pedro was also lovely!

The food here is devastatingly good. It will redefine your understanding of Mexican cuisine. On passing Tortilla, my friend joked "is this the place you've booked?". Don't yank my chain. Where we are going they serve grasshoppers with guacamole. The pre-theatre menu offers a good starting point into the flurry of flavours, but the lamb shank is one not to miss, and I urge those visiting to order additions from the main menu. Our waiter, Hubert, was attentive and efficient, as were all the staff here. I will return, hungry for more.

For a fancy night out, Santo Remedio is a fun evening spot, especially if you need gluten free. The staff are really friendly and attentive. As for the food, it was all delicious, and presented beautifully. Fish tacos are excellent. Save a little room for dessert as the chocolate cake is ✨scrumptious✨! Essential to book ahead.

After many years, finally ended up going there and trying this great place! Amazing flavours and selection on menu but portions are rather small.

Really great and tasty food (a cut or three above the stuff you get in the Mexican chain places). Nice drinks options. Friendlty service (and they didn;t chuck us out even though we sat at our table for hours... :-) ) Blooming expensive though... Still really enjoyed the experience.
