Servewell Cafe in Southwark

Had a big breakfast as a part of a large group. Served quickly and efficiently and the food was very nice. Definitely recommend.

Cuando este café abrió por primera vez fue uno de los mejores en el sudeste de Londres, en el último año o dos ha ido cuesta abajo, tal vez están comprando comida barata de algún lugar, también han cambiado el personal, son groseros, quieren llevar su dinero y deshacerse de ti

Este es probablemente uno de los peores cafés que he estado en South East London, así que merece la calidad de la comida es horrible el servicio es malo, los camareros son muy groseros, sinceramente no recomendaría

A nice discovery, helpful and friendly staff. Good food. Quick service. Would go back. Pretty surroundings. The café was full of locals and it was packed. They also had some newspapers. The loo was clean too. Customers looked happy at the café. Would we go again, Yes.

Customer here are from the neighbourhood, normally don't leave any comment and rating. I think they deserve better rating!

Only had a quick meal in here, but found the staff very friendly. Nice big tables and the food was good, but i only had egg and beans on toast. Good price.

My boyfriend and I visit here every time I come to London and we LOVE it. They have a range on their menu however the breakfasts are our favourite. As well as the food, the service is consistently excellent. They are always willing to cater to your needs (e.g. extra hash browns/no mushrooms etc) and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and the area itself. I really recommend going here not only to experience the place but also to support your local cafe. It is run by hardworking, honest people who even looked after my forgotten phone until I came to collect it. I urge you to go and give Servewell a shot - their good reputation in Bermondsey is known, as proven by all their regulars!

I go there at l Aston once a week for my breakfast on my day off. They food is nice and plentiful the waiting staff is friendly. Saying that only one waiter knows what I wanted as they others are a bit less interested in their customers. Good value for money

This place is disgusting! I'm so angry I don't know where to begin. First of all, to order I got the "Set 5" which included eggs, 3 hashbrowns, beans, and mushrooms (I substituted the mushrooms for tomatoes instead)--this was under the vegetarian menu as I don't eat eat. So what had happened was there is more than one Set 5 on the menu so when my food arrived I had ham, sausage, and some nasty black thing on my plate which was blood pudding or whatever. So I asked why I got sausage and ham with my meal and he said everything comes with it so I said OK. As I didn't want to make a big deal out of it (although I should have), I picked the meat off my plate and put it to the side. When he came back around I asked where my hashbrowns were and he said my meal didn't come with hashbrowns and I said yes it did and I pointed to it on the menu. He then proceeded to tell me I got the other Set 5 because I didn't clarify. First of all, I pointed to my order on the menu when he initially took it. Second of all, when I questioned why I had meat on my plate that should've been his second clue. Third of all, if there is more than one Set 5 on the menu it's your job as the server to clarify which one, it's not my job as a customer to read the whole menu to make sure there aren't meals with the same name. When it was time to cash out now, I was charged for the Set 5 that came with meat which was £5.70 unlike my vegetarian meal that was supposed to cost £4. We fought about it for a bit and I told him it was not my job to read the whole menu and he should've clarified which Set 5 I was referring to although it was quite obvious. I also told him that it's not my job to read the whole menu before I order, if I see something I want to order then I'm going to order it, it's that simple. And to add on, the beans were disgusting! They were clearly dumped into a pot from a can and heated up--nasty! He never even asked me how I wanted my eggs which is weird because there's so many different types of ways to make eggs, you can't just assume I want it how you make them. Needless to say the food was disgusting and the service was even worse so I'd never in a million years come back here again. Even if I were on my deathbed and this was the only food on earth left known to man, I'd never eat this food. This server should also take a course on how to deal with people and how to stop being a royal pain in the you know what. I would've rated this place 0 stars but it's not an option so I had to settle for 1 star.

We popped in for breakfast before going to the West End to do some shopping. All the food was piping hot including the beans (no one likes cold beans). The bacon and sausages were very tasty and the fried eggs were perfect – no hard yolks here! The staff were very pleasant and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I like my tea with plenty of milk and they were very quick to bring me some extra milk. The food was incredibly good value, whether you want a bacon roll or a full English breakfast, and the place was spotlessly clean. The Servewell Café is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
