Sergio's in Redcar and Cleveland

Very disappointing, the margarita pizza wasn’t even good it was burnt and didn’t even taste nice and the signal was terrible. I wouldn’t eat there again. I wouldn’t recommend

we arrived to a dark hectic wet windowed place where staff were running around looking stressed we were great by i woman called Sandra with "have you booked" not a hello or good evening ! when we said yes she pointed to a table that was right under the bar where staff were constantly passing with hot food and noisy staff at the bar. my partner enjoyed his dish but mine was nothing to write home about, tasteless and hardly any meat in the dish in fact my partner had to put his vegetable into my dish to make it interesting and something to taste A few days later when checking my facebook i had numerous messages on messenger from a women called Sandra Alderson Koopmann - who i came to realise worked here saying the card machine didnt work and payment wasnt taken that night and threatening us with CCTV ! my goodness me not a sorry it was our fault or a please a thank you - so rude ! there are so many more professional and delishous places in the area to go and eat that we found but this one was not a nice experience at all !

I have been here twice now once in December 2023 and today January 24th 2024. The food is unbelievably tasty and first class. Staff are all very friendly and professional. I went with my husband and 4year old son both times and all of us had the best time and enjoyed our meals. We will be back, if you like lobster you have to try the lobster ravioli it is to die for 😋😍.

First time I have been to Sergio's. It won't be the last, the food and the service were outstanding.

The 5 star reviews can’t be genuine. Very poor quality food, tired looking restaurant, unbelievably poor service. The people of Guisborough can’t have eaten Italian food anywhere else. The chef delivered dessert whist attempting an intimidating glare nearly as pathetic as his culinary ability. Avoid.

The rudest restaurant They missed two orders and blamed it on us however, it was written on the menu. The owner slammed his hand on the bar and blamed it on us. I will never use this restaurant again. The customer service was terrible and we didn’t get two meals yet they tried to charge us for them.

Family of eight , lovely food and super service

Wow, it was our first visit tonight and it definitely won't be our last. The food and the service were impeccable, faultless. We are already planning our return, loved it.

What a busy place this is - for good reason - the quality of the food was fantastic. Be patient when dining here as they clearly get busy, ask for a bottle of wine from the wine list and enjoy.

Had a meal on Friday evening with friends. Excellent food with us all choosing different pasta dishes and pizza. Very good value and a very pleasant ambience. Recommend 100%

Classic Italian atmosphere - subdued lighting, subtle decor, background hubbub of conversation. Decent menu and specials. Olives and bread starter was plenty for three while we waited for mains. Had the crab special, lamb and mint special, and mixed seafood pasta, and each one was superb - plenty of flavour, nicely seasoned and not skimping on the protein. Good bottle of red. Waiting staff checked that we were happy with our meals - thank you. Popped in Thursday, early evening, and no trouble getting a table, but we will probably book next time to make sure.

Lovely meals and great service. We went in "happy hour" and would definitely recommend the potato skins but tbh the soup, pastas and pizzas were also really lovely. Great find 😍 About £20 each including some cocktails, beer and pints of pop.

We were staying round the corner. Hadn't intended to go there but the chip shop was closing, so went to Sergio's instead. An absolute revelation! We both had spaghetti frutti di mare, which we agreed was the best Italian meal we've had in years. Pasta done just right, just the right amount of seafood, and a beautiful tomato sauce, not too much, with just a hint of chili. And it was a big plateful, too much for us to have a dessert. Tha waitress was very friendly and welcoming too. f we lived closer we'd be there every week. A solid 5 stars.

Very average No atmosphere food very plain …no chicken in pollo pesto chicken felt very flat and it was non atmospheric

The standard of the food here is pretty poor. I ordered the Chicken Alla Crema and if I was a waitress, I'd be embarrassed laying that plate down in front of paying customers. The 'crema' sauce was something you'd buy out of a packet mix and the miniscule amount of chicken resembled chewed up pieces of thigh rather than a whole breast. Will I be back? Absolutely not

Fabulous Italian restaurant in guisborough.. Warm. cosy and inviting .. You are greeted with a genuine welcome... Whether you are a regular or passing through.. .. The food is so tasty .. Andl true to Italy in general.... I have visited several times Italy and its on a par with their good fayre.. ..the menu is just enough variety to keep it interesting but maintain its Italian roots without compromise .. The cocktails are fabulous.. . The wines the same.. The food amazing.. The service perfect.. The price very reasonable... and its an absolute little gem this little honest Italian restaurant.. Disappointed Booked in for dinner at 18:15, but didn’t get a table until 15 minutes later. Felt very rushed and a very poor level of customer service (Only spoken to three times that being for ordering drinks, food and then paying the bill). Waited for over 1hr and 30 minutes for two pizzas and a seafood pasta which were overpriced for the quality (Undercooked Dough and with the pasta 5 tiny cheap bought prawns), felt like an inconvenience as staff rushed about complaining about how busy the restaurant was. Hugely focused on takeaway orders and very little care for in store customers. For £65, it felt like a rip off and I definitely wouldn’t recommend coming here for an enjoyable Italian dining experience. A real shame!

Starter always good. My wife had an excellent Risotto. I had the local ‘Parmo’ which, when good, is always an excellent mix. It was very good. Sustained by a Sardinian Red Wine that never fails to satisfy. At 14.5%, always satisfies. Macchiato to finish.
