Staff extremely friendly and attentive. We had starter and main which was excellent. The Carbonara was tasty, and creamy and the perfect portion size. The same for my friends Arriabata . Staff were attentive but not intrusive. Friendly, cozy restaurant. Highly recommended

I'm not impressed by the quality of food, I don't think produce was fresh. The taste just wasn't there. We paid over 50 GBP for two, but I was disappointed for what we go for that. I think they need to focus on fresh produce, a bit more seasoning and more attentive staff.

Don't waste your money! Sticky tables, smells like a greasy spoon. Food made from the cheapest ingredients and tastes like hot grease cardboard in your mouth.

Hottest day of the year so far. Good 2 hour beach walk at Saltburn. Home to sit in the garden. Wanted to complete the day eating out. Hadn't been in Sergio's for years yet had heard good reports. Booked for Happy Hour. Table near the door for nice breeze. Waitress beaming smile. Reasonably priced Moretti and Sangiovese. Proper garlic pizza. Excellent arabiatta and carbonara. £51 for three of us. Sadly couldn't manage an affogato. A family business who prefer cash. We will be back.

So wanted this to be great but it wasn’t. We had Lasagne which was served so hot it was off the scale and Penne Arrabiata which was tasty but regrettably swimming in oil. Service was a bit haphazard and despite trying to get attention for a beer refill I failed. Yes it was busy but no where near full. Disappointed 🥲

Lovely place for a large family meal. Had to pay a deposit and order in advance for starters and mains but this meant the food came swiftly. Food was excellent and so was the service.

Went as a large group and was impressed at the organisation and service. I had the Toscana pizza which is one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Very reasonable pricing as well. Will be recommending to friends and family.

The wonderful smell as we passed made us walk in. From the minute we walked in the service was fantastic. The staff are friendly, welcoming and polite. The food was faultless and amazing on all 3 courses.

Well established Italian Restaurant in Guisborough, Cleveland. Its a little gem!! Lovely ambience, and friendly staff. The owner is the Head Chef. Best parmos around. Fabulous pizzas, pastas and specials. Great price range. Lots of promotions, offers, meal deals to be had too. We'll worth a visit!!!!

Very disappointing, the margarita pizza wasn’t even good it was burnt and didn’t even taste nice and the signal was terrible. I wouldn’t eat there again. I wouldn’t recommend

we arrived to a dark hectic wet windowed place where staff were running around looking stressed we were great by i woman called Sandra with "have you booked" not a hello or good evening ! when we said yes she pointed to a table that was right under the bar where staff were constantly passing with hot food and noisy staff at the bar. my partner enjoyed his dish but mine was nothing to write home about, tasteless and hardly any meat in the dish in fact my partner had to put his vegetable into my dish to make it interesting and something to taste A few days later when checking my facebook i had numerous messages on messenger from a women called Sandra Alderson Koopmann - who i came to realise worked here saying the card machine didnt work and payment wasnt taken that night and threatening us with CCTV ! my goodness me not a sorry it was our fault or a please a thank you - so rude ! there are so many more professional and delishous places in the area to go and eat that we found but this one was not a nice experience at all !

The 5 star reviews can’t be genuine. Very poor quality food, tired looking restaurant, unbelievably poor service. The people of Guisborough can’t have eaten Italian food anywhere else. The chef delivered dessert whist attempting an intimidating glare nearly as pathetic as his culinary ability. Avoid.

Family of eight , lovely food and super service

What a busy place this is - for good reason - the quality of the food was fantastic. Be patient when dining here as they clearly get busy, ask for a bottle of wine from the wine list and enjoy.

Classic Italian atmosphere - subdued lighting, subtle decor, background hubbub of conversation. Decent menu and specials. Olives and bread starter was plenty for three while we waited for mains. Had the crab special, lamb and mint special, and mixed seafood pasta, and each one was superb - plenty of flavour, nicely seasoned and not skimping on the protein. Good bottle of red. Waiting staff checked that we were happy with our meals - thank you. Popped in Thursday, early evening, and no trouble getting a table, but we will probably book next time to make sure.

Lovely meals and great service. We went in "happy hour" and would definitely recommend the potato skins but tbh the soup, pastas and pizzas were also really lovely. Great find 😍 About £20 each including some cocktails, beer and pints of pop.

Food edible but disappointing scallops dry and over cooked, main prawns well and truly over cooked but sauce ok, waitress gets a 10 she never stopped nice environment

The standard of the food here is pretty poor. I ordered the Chicken Alla Crema and if I was a waitress, I'd be embarrassed laying that plate down in front of paying customers. The 'crema' sauce was something you'd buy out of a packet mix and the miniscule amount of chicken resembled chewed up pieces of thigh rather than a whole breast. Will I be back? Absolutely not

Lovely place, been a few times and always been well rewarded with a great Italian dinner (it helps that the chef is Italian). Friendly staff. Will go again.

We were a table of four each having something different from the menu. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. They were well presented and tasted amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Very nice food ordered bottle of wine as I poured two glasses and started to drink the owner said it was the wrong bottle we tasted it and said it wasn’t very nice please can we have the bottle we ordered to which the owner reacted very rudely saying that we got two glasses of wine out of it… we had one sip and it was like vinegar tbf she stormed off after speaking to myself and my friend very condescending I followed her to the bar to ask if there was a problem to which she did start to argue the situation… the situation that they brought out the wrong bottle and told me after the glasses were poured and moaned that we poured the glasses.. sorry I thought that’s what you do when you get a bottle of wine, then for the rest of the evening the owner serving us was very sarcastic and said most things through gritted teeth We have always been to this restaurant and enjoyed the atmosphere and food unfortunately after this it will be the last time we go there

Can't believe I have never been in this restaurant having lived in Guissy all my life. Highly recommend the restaurant.The staff were lovely and the food was perfect.Only daft thing was I went for the parmo instead of choosing something authentic.

Fabulous Italian restaurant in guisborough.. Warm. cosy and inviting .. You are greeted with a genuine welcome... Whether you are a regular or passing through.. .. The food is so tasty .. Andl true to Italy in general.... I have visited several times Italy and its on a par with their good fayre.. ..the menu is just enough variety to keep it interesting but maintain its Italian roots without compromise .. The cocktails are fabulous.. . The wines the same.. The food amazing.. The service perfect.. The price very reasonable... and its an absolute little gem this little honest Italian restaurant.. Totally recommend a visit

Disappointed Booked in for dinner at 18:15, but didn’t get a table until 15 minutes later. Felt very rushed and a very poor level of customer service (Only spoken to three times that being for ordering drinks, food and then paying the bill). Waited for over 1hr and 30 minutes for two pizzas and a seafood pasta which were overpriced for the quality (Undercooked Dough and with the pasta 5 tiny cheap bought prawns), felt like an inconvenience as staff rushed about complaining about how busy the restaurant was. Hugely focused on takeaway orders and very little care for in store customers. For £65, it felt like a rip off and I definitely wouldn’t recommend coming here for an enjoyable Italian dining experience. A real shame!

Excellent food and service, well worth a visit

Excellent venue. Now we are in Lockdown we order takeaway meals and the quality has not changed they are still as good as eating in the restaurant. Just had Sirloin steaks for New Years Eve dinner, they were excellent and we enjoyed every mouth full.

This is the first of many visits and I really look forward to them. Lovely place, really nice staff.

Visited for afternoon tea and ordered from the 'happy hour' menu. Only two other bookings in and the food arrived quickly. Portions were small but this was a blessing! The chips were inedible, they had a horrible taste, and the main course was very greasy....

Came to Sergios this evening with my husband he had venison, which my husband states is the best he has ever tasted, I had the calzone which I can highly recommend, really tasty, full of fresh ingredients with a lovely tomato sauce. The house wine...

We had a fantastic New Years Eve meal, from the welcoming friendly Staff and the owner, Sergio, to the delicious array of food and drink we managed to consume. I'd thoroughly recommend Sergios for any occasion and will be booking for this year's NYE.

On a very cold night I stumbled on Sergio’s, I was given a warm welcome. I had the king scallops with bacon cooked to perfection followed by the venison special. Reasonable prices for both food and drinks and Sergio is a charming and efficient host.

We had some lovely food and the service was really good. We had a very enjoyable evening. This is a lovely little Italian restaurant very friendly too.

We opted to go to Sergios for a Saturday night treat. Cosy little restaurant just off the high street in Giusborough. I ordered the scallops in sauce special for starters followed by calzone pizza. My better had something similar but I can no longer remember precisely what. All the food was freshly cooked, tasty, and served hot. Service was excellent and we were correctly informed that an Americano coffee is meant to be served black and not with milk!

We went on a quiet Monday tea time and as we were early had the place to ourselves. The happy hour menu was excellent value and the food was very good . Service would be what you would expect as we were the only one's eating. Very good - we will return.

Wanted somewhere close to work to have a quick tea with friends. We saw the happy hour menu and popped in. We got seated straight away and were very impressed with the happy hour prices. Two of us got 2 courses for £8.95 (any pasta or pizza with a starter) and two got 2 courses for £11.95 as they had Parmos for main. All the food was unbelievable. The nicest potato skins I’ve ever had and an incredible pesto chicken pasta. We were all very impressed and will definitely go back. Friendly staff and quick service too. I can imagine it getting very busy.

Happened to find this restaurant when I was looking on trip advisor and I’m so glad I did. The food is absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere in the restaurant is so relaxing. I’d definitely recommend and can’t believe it’s been there for 7 years without me knowing! I’ll definitely be visiting again soon.

An excellent traditional and authentic Italian that is well worth the visit. A variety of specials as well as the usual classic Italian dishes to an excellent standard.

After having a busy 7 hour shift at work we decided a happy hour tea at Sergios would be just the ticket. We had potato skins x 2, one pizza (pepperoni) and one pasta dish washed down with two large glasses of wine and two peronis the food was delicious and the service excellent as always - perfect start to the weekend.

Sergios is a fantastic Friday night start to the weekend, great food, good drink and friendly helpful staff. A great place to unwind after a hard week. This time I had my favourite potato skins with garlic mayonnaise dip and followed it up with Pasta Lucculus (excuse spelling). Both were delicious and we enjoyed our night out to the full.

Visited twice during our week in Yorkshire and both times we were very impressed. Attentive but inobstrusive service. The food was above and beyond our expectations. The balance of flavours in the crab and prawn spaghetti dish was exceptional. Highly recommended and not overpriced.

Visited mid week and although fairly quiet, the welcome and service was good. The food was even better. We ordered a main dish from the 'special' board - prawn and crab spaghetti with light garlic and chilli sauce. The balance of flavours was absolutely right. The best Italian dish we've had for years.

I visited this restraunt because I’ve heard quite good things about it. Me and some friends booked a table on a Saturday night it was very hectic and busy but the staff made us feel welcomed and they fulfilled our every need, we ordered our food for starters we got garlic mushroom and tomato garlic bread which was really nice, for our mains we ordered a different range from the chicken dishes I ordered the Gustavo in which I really enjoyed. We had a look at the desert menu but I didn’t order anything because I was already full from the starters and mains, my friend ordered the tiramisu which was very delightful as I had too try a bit of it, upon asking for the bill which came very quick we decided to give the young waitress a tip... which was a mistake as she had to put it in the tip jar. I was horrified by this behaviour. I will return to Sergios Italian for the food and great service but I will not leave a tip again!!

I had stroganoff it was lovely. My wife had prawn pasta she really enjoyed hers too. Had a bottle of house white wine that was nice. We didn't have starters or deserts as we just went out for tea.

Went here for our anniversary as we have been before with friends.This is most definately the last time we do go, we ordered fillet beef stroganoff ( we quite often order this when we eat out) it was the worst stroganoff we have ever had the misfortune to try to eat, the meat was in tough and unchewable chunks and with gristle included. I have never had fillet steak with gristle in my life. The price was £19.95 each so not cheap.

We have been here a couple of times with family and friends and always found it a nice place to dine. Today was no different overall, the staff where friendly and attentive and the mains and deserts we ordered where lovely lasagne and the crab and prawn spaghetti, lovely and hot just how I like it. The desserts where delicious a perfect way to end a lovely night, so why the 4 star you ask the first negative is dirty cutlery not just a little stain you could wipe off with your cloth but baked on food, they did promptly replace this but with no apologies for the dirty cutlery. My other criticism is my scallops could of done with a tad longer on the stove, when I have had this starter in the past there would be big juicy mushrooms and chunks of black pudding but it was almost like they had ran out and made do with what was left.

4 hungry people enjoyed interesting and very tasty starters off the special menu which was followed by really good main courses from the main menu. Food was fresh and well prepared at a fair price. Wines were very good also fairly priced. We were served by jamie who was attentive, accommodating and very pleasant.

We had a lovely dinner at Sergio's. I would recommend both the crab and prawn spaghetti and the calzone. We would definitely return if we were in the area!

Terrible attitude to customers. We were actually asked what we did for a living when we asked if it was normal to only have 3 prawns in our pasta dish.

We walked into this little restaurant without a reservation on a Saturday night, it was not a problem and we were seated immediately. I was quite surprised by the extensive menu for such a small bistro, but even more surprised at how quickly the food arrived, i was still licking the starter off my lips as the main course was put down in front of me, this did not in any way effect the quality of the meal, it was cooked to perfection and tasted great. The staff were really attentive but not too overbearing allwing you to get on and eat in peace.

Visited here as a group of friends. Service was excellent, it is a small but friendly restaurant. The food was good, my friend tried the venison which she said was the best she had tasted. The menu isn't extensive but is good quality and good tasting Italian food.

very nice quaint bistro and very clean inside. However the food leaves a lot to be desired , starters were good , main meal was terrible, I had lasagne which was probably the worst I can remember eating , mushy mess no beef and swimming in some type of tomatoe/béchamel sauce. Wife had spaghetti sea food which was average. Pointed this out to waitress who really wasn't too interested other than she would mention it to chef, ( cant believe there was a chef on that night !) Expected so much better from a restaurant claiming to be authentic Italian.

What can I say but beautiful food, fantastic wine & friendly service! We had 3 starters, 2 mains, 2 puddings, cappuccino, 2bottles of sparkling water and a bottle of SauvignonBlanc all for under £80 & fantastic waitresses

Perfect spot for a teatime treat. A warm and welcoming bistro atmosphere, chic but cozy decor and all the fresh seafood you could wish for. We had scallops to start and were delighted with the presentation and flavor. Our Diavolo pizza main was also top class. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived during happy hour at 6.00pm and we received very personal service. The staff were on hand throughout but also kept their distance, allowing for an intimate meal. I would recommend this place for couples and special/romantic occasions.

Great little restaurant off the High Street in Guisborough. Friendly and helpful staff. We were out as a family, chose to eat early evening so the place was quiet when we arrived, however the restaurant is obviously popular because it was filling up as we ate.. Good menu with a lot of choice. We were able to utilise the Happy Hour menu which has a lot of choice. Family had parmos and I chose from the pizza menu. Food was good quality and we were all happy with the food we were served. Definitely go back. Next time maybe later in the evening as a couple, to try some of the traditional italian dishes

I was visiting the area for work and staying nearby. After checking TripAdvisor for some decent places to eat, decided to give this place a try.

I went here last night and I found most things quite disappointing. First of all we walked in the door and stood there for about 3-4 minutes before anyone said hello to use, despite them walking past us twice! A simple “with you in a minute would of done”
