Serenity Now in Glasgow City

Food was poor quality, dry, and really tasteless, with zero presentation. Though a decent portion size. But I couldn't tell you what we were eating. Both our meals were substandard. I've been vegan for decades and this is one of the poorest quality meals I've had eating out in some time, even for just a bite for lunch. Service seemed ambivalent and more interested in talking amongst themselves most of the time. Very overpriced for quality of food, environment and service. Big disappointment. Would not return. Pretty much all aspects of the lunch experience was subpar. Was at least quiet and seating was immediately available. But overall so poor I wanted to leave my honest review.

Second visit to Serenity Now and it's still great. A good mix of junk food as well as classic brunch options. Friendly staff and good service. Very dog friendly too!

A good stop for lunch on Great Western Road. Had the brunch burrito and my wife had the sietan chicken burrito. Both were excellent and tastycoffee served with almond milk. Totally vegan.

First-off, coffee, because it's important. Consistently good, and I usually end up having one with brunch and getting one to takeaway - that's a good sign in my book. Great plant based dishes which are quite inventive and stand out a little from other places - the burrito is my go-to either as a wrap or a burrito bowl and you can customise with extras if you want to go heavy on the protein :-) Busy place this so always recommend booking, but the lovely staff have been good enough to respond out of hours to confirm a booking and have also managed to get a walk-in.

This is a fab spot, all vegan menu with a Seinfeld twist. I had the Reuben sandwich, which was delicious, followed by just a few tastes of my daughter's acai bowl. That was tasty and refreshing, but unfortunately then I was too full to try out my husband's nachos. He assured me that were great, but obviously I'm going to have to return to try them for myself...as well as the rest of the menu..

We went here for breakfast/brunch on my girlfriend’s birthday and what a way to start the day! I’ve been vegan for roughly 5 years and I’m not kidding when I say their fried chicken wrap is the best wrap I’ve had. My girlfriend had the Breakfast Slam pancakes and was thoroughly impressed, particularly with the sausage and the whipped ancho chilli butter. Food came in good time, was hot and portion sizes were really generous. Both servers were really friendly and the atmosphere was laid-back and relaxing. Music was the perfect volume. We also got two amazing smoothies. I’m not a massive smoothie fan usually but these were to die for: thick, ice-cold and suitably fruity. Prices I feel were very reasonable for the quality and amount of food on the plate, would happily pay the same again. As an aside, the bathroom here was one of the cleanest public bathrooms I’ve used in my life, which - as someone who gets the ick quite easily - is a massive plus, and had some fabulous wallpaper too. We got two coffees to enjoy while we walked to the botanics and again were really impressed with the quality - I only wish they had been a bit bigger because they were so tasty! This place is a must if you’re looking for some great vegan breakfast/brunch/lunch in Glasgow. Definitely just the first of many visits to come, and I can’t wait to try the s’mores pancakes next time. Thank you for the amazing food!!!

I love Serenity Now. Ate my way thru the menu at least once and the specials are always superb. The staff are always friendly and attentive and I’ve genuinely never had a bad meal here.

Went for the first time today after wandering past about a million times and saying we should go in!!! Really nice food and drink, all vegan too which is always exciting and makes things super easy being veggie. Staff were really polite and helpful too.

Such a lovely cafe with amazing vegan food! Staff are nice and chill yet attentive, service was quick too despite it being a small team and cafe. The menu is all vegan so it's reassuring and easy to order, knowing you don't have to make adjustments or ask to leave things out. It would be nice to see some more gluten free options, just to have the choice, or if there are any it'd be nice to know! The portions are generous too and you can see the pancakes being made and everything feels homemade, definitely worth the price. We last went in 2019 and it's good to see that they've survived the pandemic and are still going! Can't wait to come back, definitely a good spot for brunch if you're in Glasgow.

My partner and I go here all the time and we love the staff, the food is incredible, and the mission of the company. Not only is the food amazing, but it is mostly really healthy, focusing on baked/air fried rather than fried ingredients, whole grains and spices and plant-based. Highly highly recommend if you're around the west end looking for what for a good lunch or brunch spot.

Great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch! Lots of food and drink options and amazing cakes. I had the chicken and waffles and my friend had the mac and cheese burrito. Both delicious! We had a lovely brunch here - I had the breakfast burrito with added cheese and chicken seitan, and my partner had seitan chicken and waffles. The waffles were fab and the seitan super crispy and delicious! The breakfast burrito was the size of my head but unfortunately a little bland. It just needed a bit of salt and pepper to lift the flavours a bit, and the cheese sauce was unfortunately hiding in a small pocket in one part of the burrito rather than evenly distributed throughout. We also had a scone which was heavenly. The atmosphere is cosy and modern, and the staff were lovely and handled a busy sunday brunch service really well. Would definitely visit again!

Firstly, everyone should try the smoothies! I had the Yada Yada and my boyfriend had the Little Jerry - both were excellent (albeit almost a meal within themselves). The food is delicious, and all vegan... so I was incredibly excited to try the pancakes. My boyfriend - who eats meat - tried the Seitan chicken and waffles, and absolutely loved it too. A lot of people had been commenting on waiting times - however we didn't wait more than about 15/20 mins for our food, and we received our drinks within 5 mins. It was very busy (a queue to and out of the door) so any wait is understandable. The service was exceptional too - so I will definitely be visiting again next time I'm in Glasow!

Having heard they were bringing the waffle burger back we hossed on over to Serenity as quick as our lives could carry us! It was a rainy Tuesday afternoon and the cafe was a welcome sight! The nice waiter, detecting our eagerness was swift to seat us and take our orders.. As the kitchen is in the cafe we were able to witness the skill of our food being prepared which certainly peaked our interest for what was to come.. Once ready, we were overcome with joy at the sight of the Waffle Burger and even happier with how it tasted! Succulent Chunks of Seitan Chicken combined with a Warm, Crispy Waffle dripping in their Signature Sauce was just magnificent :) An experience I truly did not want to end.. The Southwest Scramble with Turmeric Queso was equally as fantastic and their Sourdough Garlic Bread has us grinning with joy with every bite! A side dish so beautiful it will happily compliment any main! Thank You Serenity Now for that moment of Glory! Long may it reign in my memory :)

A quirky place that serves 100 per cent vegan food. Plenty of options, including seitan which is hard to find in other vegan friendly eateries. Prices are decent, too. However, we felt that service was truly bland - the staff seemed disinterested & disengaged.
