We had a takeaway whilst staying in a local caravan park. All of the food was hot and of a high standard. One of the best I’ve had.

We found this chinese takeawy on the Destination Selsey website -it was one of the few restaurants or takeaways open on a tuesday night in Selsey. We scrolled through the menu & phoned our order in & it was ready for us to collect when we got there about 20 mins later . We ordered a starter of "House special hot combination" , followed by "King prawn chow mein , King prawn chop suey , Mixed Chicken balls & house special fried rice " The "house special fried rice" wasn't particularly to my taste but the rest of the food was good , especially the " House special hot combination " & the portions were generous & the price at just over £40 for 2 people was I think fair & reasonable .

Usually when we go to a Chinese Takeaway we will order a set meal and then add a couple of extra dishes, unfortunately the set meals here didn't appeal to us and so we made our own meal up, For starter we had the House Special Hot Combination which was fantastic value for money with 2 huge pancake rolls, 2 spare ribs, prawn toasts, seaweed, wontons and mini vegetable spring rolls. In hindsight with a portion of chips this could easily have been a meal on it's own. Then we had a king prawn chow mein, king prawn chop suey, house special rice and mixed chicken and prawn balls. Most of which we ended up having for dinner the next day. We've never had the rice dish before and were surprised to find it was wet, which was unusual, although having just checked my local chinese's website, that's apparently normal. Overall, it was good value for money and the food was yummy, in particular the ribs which I could happily have eaten a plate full.

After being spoiled for choice in our home town for Chinese Takeaway food .. this takeaway was a fantastic surprise! Excellent food and portions! If we had this takeaway nearby, we wouldn't go anywhere else! Excellent. 10/10

We made a large order for ten people and the lady was very good on helping us with our order.After we placed the order it was ready to collect in fifteen minutes, upon getting back to our caravan the food was still hot and everything was delicious. thank Steve p

Convenient Chinese take away in the bustling High Street of Selsey. My order was taken within a few minutes of entering the store, and the wait for food was around 5-10 minutes, nothing out of the ordinary. The waiting area had a selection of magazines and art which kept me interested while waiting for food. The food was great, and came in huge portions. Definitely recommend this establishment to others.

Chicken curry doesn't even have proper chicken breast in sauce off curry was okay chips were awfull dry horrible tasting the only thing that was okay were the prawn crackers One thing the customer service was good 5 stars for that 👍 but the chicken if it was in the curry was awfull

Absolutely useless. Spent over £50 to get home and find some of the order missing,called.them.and told to come and collect said missing item. Item still not ready and then given wrong item then told I didn't order the item!!!! Question why tell me to come and get it? Why is it on my receipt. Told.thrm to keep.it. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Ordered takeaway from here as we had one before which was nice but this time only got half the order which was cold and couldn't get through to the Chinese again ...need someone on the phone who's bothered about getting your order right as it's not cheap either ...very disappointed

Great Chinese food, best in Selsey.

Ordered tonight to seal bay, had previous experience so was really looking forward to it but was very disappointed, all food was bland and sauce like water not impressed at all and a real waste of money, gone down a lot since I last ordered in September what's happened?? Very disappointed 😞

Regular customers, phoned our order through, told an hour wait after nearly 2 hours phoned to check where our order was Person on the phone unable to understand a word, very confusing, we cancelled our order, but really don't think she had taken it in the 1st place! Not sure what's going on!!

After using this Chinese Takeaway for four years we phoned in for a Saturday night treat and were told they no longer accepted cards and we would need cash. I found the lack of trust for regular customers a little bit offensive. I simply don't keep large amounts of cash at home and if I have to go out to the cash point I might as well get something from the supermarket and save money. Thankfully we've saved £60 tonight and will likely save more than £600 this year if they don't change this policy.

Food was really hot and lovely one of the best Chinese I've had quick delivery and good customer service

Food was prepared quickly yet tasted fresh. Had the Kung Pu Prawns and they were great. All the dishes had plenty of flavour and very well cooked. Would definitely recommend and would go go back again.

Chicken Balls DRIPPING with fat asked for curry sauce not sweet and sour, charged extra. Called to complain spoke to a young girl who quite frankly just didn't care less and just said they are deep fried LOVELY 😡😡😡😡😡😡 I would definitely NOT RECOMMENDED SELSEY CHINESE TAKEAWAY.

Very bland food won’t be going back

I have visited this place twice and on both occasions ended up with a bad belly , friendly enough staff and looks clean but I would avoid.

I've gone from 5 staring this place to now a 2. They order all their food in with MSG loaded in it which now makes me sick. They are under new management and whole new staff but the kitchen staff as far as i know is the same and as far as i know, NOTHING else has been changed, food is pricey, food is full of msg and gives me and anyone i know who eats from here bad stomachs. Eat at the other one. I used to regular this place and only eat from here but now i don't at all. New management need to change things up drastically or they'll go down hill.

Meat was really poor quality and meals lacked taste

My wife and I visited Selsey and saw this establishment. When it was open for business we ordered sweet and sour chicken and chips, I had house special chow mein and special fried rice. Both meals were excellent and when we come back again will make beeline for another Chinese takeaway

Summer Palace was a hour and half wait so I headed to Selsey Chinese Takeaway, what a mistake! Crabmeat &sweetcorn soup had to be thrown away, it looked like wallpaper paste! And taste was awful. Main was not much better, but I struggled through to justify part of my £10 spend. Previous owners never had a problem. I will not make the same mistake next time and wait the hour and half!

Favourite Chinese takeaway in selsey. I don't use any other!

Haven't used this establishment for a while, but loved the pancake rolls and Singapore noodles. Decided to go yesterday. What a disappointment! In my roll, there was the tiniest piece of chicken and 2 wafer-thin bits of pork. The rest was bean sprouts and a little onion. Ditto the noodles, very little meat but a whole lot of noodles. Nothing at all like it used to be. Also I had to ask for my prawn crackers as they were not in the bag. Won't be going back.

new management has caused great amount of unhappy people they have gone for cheaper ingredients and smaller portions please come back Tina new couple dont take any notice of comments or complaints

Had food for them for the New Year 2022. And it completed our celebration. Feels like home but in a different country.

Today was Really bad order at 40 pounds 2 items missing but they replaced them in the end it was not worth eating it was just not nice 😕 which is a shame as we have had a few good orders

Not to be nasty but the two people who gave this place bad reviews must be completely stupid. This is by far the best Chinese not only in our little town? But the best I’ve had in quite a few places. The food is amazing and no the meat portions have not been reduced at all. The food is far from greasy either, it’s such a shame when people do this to places on sites like this just so they get followed because that’s all it is!!!! Highly recommend this Chinese takeaway. Even the delivery is incredibly fast ok.

Not sure where the negative comments come from but as a very regular local user over many years I have just eaten another very enjoyable meal. It is often very busy holiday season and weekends, so longer waiting time is to be expected (Order by phone).The hundreds of returning customers can't all be wrong. Try it for yourself

Went here over year ago before lock down Meal was awful went now as thought just a one off must be nice now still awful must be new owners because it was best in selsey in my veiw before all very tasteless runny mess

Not had a take out for a few years, and now I know why. this was one of the worst Chinese we have ever had. Mixed starter was so bad. that we threw it away. Frozen rubbish the hot dish we ordered was as sweet as sugar, uneatable. WE chucked it all away, and then got fish and chips. Never Never again will we go back.

Pre ordered with ease. Waiting time longer than said. Freshly cooked. Portions all good size so we had over ordered. Fairly standard fare nothing stood out but nothing was bad either. Pancake rolls good and big.

Very good flavours quick service

We had a large selection - foo yung, balls, chow mein, rice etc and it was all fabulous. No leftovers ! Easy to park outside or delivery is £3 or £4. Highly recommended.

So before I chose a Chinese takeaway to go to. Out of all 3 in selsey I asked the selsey community which one they'd recommend. By far this Chinese was the most recommended. It did not disappoint, all the food was lovely, great tasting and good for the money.We didn't order for delivery and instead we went in to order, the only thing I would comment on was the lady who served us, not sure of her name but she didn't seem very happy. Didn't smile or make us feel welcome at all. I know they are busy times but a little smile can go along way. This however will not stop us going back because the food was great.Picture of some of the food, my puppy also approved

We have used this takeaway quite a few time since moving into the area. So far they offer a very good service and the food is pretty good. They offer a delivery service, but do charge.

Polite and friendly over the phone. Staff aren't quite so interested when you are there and often quite blunt. Chips are hit and miss and often seem to be reheated. Other than that, this is my preferred Chinese takeout in Selsey.

Had a take away family dinner one night while staying at nearby Bunn Leisure caravan camp - everything was very tasty!

I have ordered from here many times before always lovely food, But got to have a moan as this time it seemed to cost a lot..found out delivery was over £4 to deliver to the caravan site !! If I remember rightly it used to be no more than £2 Bit extreme as not even a mile away and to top that no free prawn crackers unless spending over 20 quid !! Spent £18 on food at least expect free prawn crackers :(

Was staying at West Sands and wanted a chinese takeaway. Went in to order and didn't need to wait very long considering it was quite busy. Food was lovely and tasty and a decent amount. They do deliver to your caravan for a delivery fee (I think about £4), which may be easier as parking is really difficult around the town.

Since moving to Selsey I have used this takeaway on several occasions and have been completely satisfied with the food and service. It offers good value for money and good sized portions. No complaints from me !

The best chinese I ever had ! Love it!

Not a lot to shout about. Normal run of the mill take away. Have eaten a few times over the years, and it was good then but it has new owners( did not recognise any staff) portions were smaller, and they have cut down the number of prawns they give you in your dishes. This is a worrying trend in Chinese restaurants that they now give you more veg and much less meat. We had a curry, well we asked for one but what we got was very bland gloop no taste at all. My home made Chinese curry is 100 times better. Cheap ingredients, cheap cuts of meat.
