I ordered 2 chicken omelette they were discussed and horrible not cook enough flat like anything I can get a deaper ones in Swindon I can't beat nythe road fish and chip shop they are cooked like a omelette should be will not be going back I paid 10 pound for 2 I can get chicken omelette and chips for 4.50 at Swindon

went there today. the owners have turned it into a coffee shop. the food is ok, kind of a fashionable Anglo-American menu. possibly the smoothest latte I've ever had

A Chinese that appears to have lost its great reputation The Beijing has been regarded by many as the best Chinese in the area. With the huge growth of Thai food in recent years, having a great traditional Chinese restaurant has never been more important Alas perhaps lockdown has been its downfall. We have had several take aways over the past year and without exception they have been really disappointing. Nothing like the food they used to serve We will not be back - a real shame

I had a takeaway today consisting of beef with black bean sauce, prawn Sechuan and rice. The prawns were nice and big and the beef itself was fine but both sauces were virtually devoid of vegetables except for huge amounts of raw (or very nearly) raw onions. There was the tiniest quantity of green pepper and some raw carrots and that was it. No spring onions or anything else remotely interesting or relevant to Chinese food. It was one of the worst Chinese takeaways I've had.

We have been going to Beijing Palace for over 20 years and have always loved the service and the quality. The food is excellent and we are never dissapointed. Recently, we've noticed the quality somehow getting even better (didn't think this would be possible). The staff are highly professional and the food has become exceptional. This fantastic restaurant is highly recommended!

We have used the Beijing Palace a number of times during lockdown & generally pleased but 2 dishes tonight were spoilt by too much chilli which totally dominated the dishes. Disappointing.

Great choice of food takeaway only. Restaurant was closed of. Staff were pleasant and did not have to wait to long. Phone orders welcome and delivery option as well.

In the last 16 years We have eaten regularly at this restaurant. Recently we have had three takeaways. What has happened to your chef, they were bland, tasteless, full of big chunks of onion and mean portions for the Charge made. There are a lot of local people who are well traveled and enjoy good Chinese food but this was very poor. It was completely anglicised and the paying public have developed adventurous tastebuds. You will be left behind.

Fantastic mixed starter for two, followed by chicken in lemon sauce. Very attentive service and great food. We’ll be back !

The mixed starters were just okay. The rolls were just batter, seaweed over sweet and obviously bought in. Sauces on ribs and chicken both bland yet over sweet at the same time. Crispy duck not crispy, but overall okay ( not good) but ruined by horrid version of hoisin sauce. Again so sweet. Main courses inedible. The crispy beef was a gelatinous blob of soggy all stuck together in some gooey sauce. The egg fried rice was tasteless. No sign of egg. The seasonal vegetabkes were 90% cabbage (for around £7), and the chicken and cashewnuts featured heavily the same overcooked cabbage. While we sampled the main courses we threw it all away. Wasted at least £35. Will NEVER go here again. New to the area so were searching for a good takeaway. This was not it for us this evening.

07/01/2000 My friend and I visited this restaurant this evening and our expectations were truly exceeded. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the food was delicious my friend ordered beef in black bean sauce, a favourite of mine from when I visited China and I ordered a prawn dish which was served on a steaming plate, which all but added to the authentic mood of the restaurant. We were served and thoroughly looked after by a very friendly and chatty young waitress who seemed to genuinely enjoy working there. Overall, I would recommend this hidden gem and regret not having visited before. Will go again.

Really disappointed with a recent visit. It’s rare to find good Chinese restaurants that serve quality dishes. When you pay £10-12 for a main dish you don’t expect poor takeaway quality. But that’s unfortunately what we got. Beijing Palace used to be my favourite Chinese. Won’t be returning anytime soon. Overcooked pork. Dry duck and tasteless other dishes. Just poor for takeaway standard, let alone a sit in restaurant.

Such a disappointment and definitely won’t be going back. Family occasion getting together for a family meal. Service is always unreliable once again we have a very nervous shaky waiter we all help before he spills our drinks over us. Our starters arrive quite quickly followed by our second course eventually that’s cleared with our help as the waiter is making a real mess clearing the table. The restaurant is not busy but you could feel the atmosphere off other customers complaining. We have waited thirty minutes for our main meal, by now time is getting late we have asked twice and get told there is a lot off take away orders to do our response was really !! Forty five minutes go by still no main we complain and get told it’s coming it eventually arrives and food was not brilliant the prawn dish was over cooked the prawns were very rubbery. We left most off our meal asked for the bill and refused to pay for the prawn dishes. We spoke to the manager who recognises us and showers no remorse for our evening we promised her we would not come back a very expensive and awful service for a table off 6 and costing £215. Definitely gone down hill more interested in take aways and profit.

We have enjoyed many meals here over the years but service has now really slipped. This evening one of our party revived no starter and those that did arrive we’re about 20 minutes apart. We had a lady with us with an allergy that we advised our waiter of, yet still her food arrived containing the ingredient she was allergic to. Service was generally slow and our primary waiter was clueless about the menu and, it transpires, incapable of writing an order down correctly or passing on potentially life saving information. Shame, the food was nice but the experience poor.

Das Restaurant liegt etwa 500 m vom Campingplatz entfernt und ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Es sieht von außen nicht sehr attraktiv aus, die Einrichtung ist typisch. Service war einwandfrei und freundlich, die Karte nicht überladen. Wir hatten uns für zwei Gerichte mit Hot und Spicey entschieden, wer gerne scharf ist sollte das bei der Bestellung anmerken, unser Gericht hätte gerner etwas schärfer sein können. Been a long time since I have been back here. Said I would never go back after the way we were treated, but that was 8 years ago(your loss Beijing Palace) So back we went. They have a nice English front of house man to greet you and look after you. The food was good and the service fast. The trouble is there are too many tables, like others have said and it is not the place to go for a slow meal as you are served very quickly, so they can get you out and new people in. Then again I do not mind if I am in a hurry, but most Chinese restaurant are like this, get you in and get you out a.s.a.p

The staff here are shamazing! We hadn't booked a table we were welcomed by some sweet little babies they sorted out our table the food was divine. I just wish we weren't only visiting the unfortunate thing is we most likely will never be in town again what an amazing experience thankyou

This is a little gem. Although we had not booked a table we were greeted warmly upon arrival and were given the choice of tables. Once seated, we were given menus and within a few minutes, our drinks order was taken. The service was attentive and once our food order had been taken, it didn't take too long for our starters to arrive. We had ordered a set menu for 2 which was absolutely delightful and very tasty. We couldn't even finish the main courses of 2 dishes and a rice not because it was horrible - we were just too full up. Lovely evening and would definitely go back again.

We visited with friends. Plenty of parking but the bays are very narrow! We were warmly welcomed and the ambiance was lovely. Great food and not at all rushed. I did feel it was a little expensive however due to the excellent quality and service it will not detract us from returning.
