This must be worse place i ever been, the meat was so chewy we couldn’t eat. We send the more than half portion back, but they never ask if the food was okay

Took out my wife of 4 years on our anniversary to try out this restaurant and got to say thoroughly disappointed. Starter took 45 minutes to be brought out, mains took another hour to be served, despite it not being busy. Overall not a great service, waitress didn't seem to care much. avoid at all costs!!

First time here and called in on the off-chance, so pleased we did lovely food friendly helpful staff and as an added bonus there was a live act who was very good. Would not hesitate to go back next time we're in the area.

Very unhelpful and unapologetic when an issue arose with our delivery. We ordered a delivery around 5.15 and were advised it would be with us 'within 45 minutes'. After almost an hour I rang and was told it was out for delivery but it did not turn up. When I rang again, I was told I'd get a call back but I didn't. After almost 1.5 hours I rang again and the lady I spoke to was very dismissive, advising again that it was out for delivery and that it was not their responsibility now. She became very short and was not at all concerned that we did not have our food. However these were their own drivers and we had paid for delivery. The food eventually turned up and was nice but the service was appalling.

Loved this place when it was on just eat, doesn't seem to be there anymore which is a shame.

Found out that under new ownership since October 2023, so recommendations to me were based on friends experience with previous owners. The manager was friendly and very attentive, asking lots of questions, explaining their menu when asked, telling me that the interior will be changed in the near future. Anyway, for starters we chose Calamari, Garlic Mushrooms with Cheese, King Prawns, and Halluomi. We then all helped ourselves to bits and pieces of each. The starters were plentiful in portion size, with all choices being great, especially the garlic mushrooms with cheese. For mains we chose a mixed grill, chicken shish, lamb ribs, and chicken wings and chips for my daughter. The chicken and lamb shish were both tender and full of flavour, and the lamb ribs were great. They all came with slad and bulgur (I can only describe it as a cross between rice and cous-cous).The mixed grill was plentiful in size and looked appetising, but my father in law enjoyed that all to himself 😀, so I can only assume it was good. My daughter enjoyed her chicken wings too We were given bread on the table, which was warm and full of flavour too. We were definitely made to feel welcome, and will definitely return. Good to know that they deliver too. We were at the restaurant early (5pm booking), so were the only people in the restaurant, however, there was a constant stream of delivery drivers collecting orders for delivery. It was my daughters birthday the following day, so tye manager gave her a small dessert on the house as well.

Returned to Selale recently after a longish break due to Covid and ill health, was surprised to learn it had changed hands but what hadn’t changed was the fantastic food , very generous portions, served by a lovely person who was polite, friendly and very attentive though not intrusive. We’ve always loved Selale and were not disappointed on this visit. Was lovely to hear about the future plans for the restaurant and wish them every success in their venture. We will be returning again and look forward to enjoying some more of the delicious food. 5* food and service. Well done.

The food at the new & IMPROVED Selale is unbelievably amazing. The quality of the food is unreal, so fresh and beautifully seasoned, you can taste its been carefully sourced. I've always liked Selale, but it's definitely sooooo much better now. Amazing food & the customer service is second to none, honestly cannot rave about this place more. The restaurant catered for 24 at my wife’s 70th the service was excellent. The food was very good. Nothing was too much trouble The staff were courteous at all times it made for a great evening well done. Keep it up we will definitely be back.

Went to this restaurant with my family before the pantomime Brilliant service, very very friendly and the food was amazing, all piping hot and so delicious. We all had different meals and no one was disappointed even the children liked theirs. I took a menu too as found out they deliver by Uber eats to my area too so will be having a takeaway from there often too xx can’t rate the place enough

Amazing food and service for five of us dining as a family. We went on a Sunday lunchtime and at first we were the only table, a couple more tables arrived but imagine they are busier in the evenings. The food was served piping hot and all our requests were attended to. We would highly recommend here and will definitely return.

Went in there this lunchtime with husband and daughter. Real lovely meal and very reasonably priced. Recommend ordering more obscure things off menu as absolutely fantastic.

My starter was okay , my friends mains and starters seemed enjoyable to them. Mine was dire, vey so overcooked it was difficult to discern what it started life as , The sauce was watery and tasteless , the chicken included cartilage and was solid. Not an experience that says come back soon. Service was okay

Absultley discuting attuied refused to deliver 3.6 miles away from their shop then the person on the phone had a right attuied when asked why very poor service and for visiting highley avoid

Well, what a pleasant surprise - quite a plain interior but what lovely food and what very good service - EVERYTHING we tried in the menu was DELICIOUS - but the helap was the star of the show - kofte with crispy bread and yoghurt/cheese sauce - oh yes - washed down down with some ice cold house rose - do try it !

I ordered a moussaka, which looked delicious. However, as I cut into it I noticed it was wrapped in plastic film. When I pointed this out it was removed and I was promised a replacement in six minutes. The person I was dining with then had to start her meal alone and mine arrived later. Yes, it was tasty and plentiful, but there was no explanation about the plastic sleeve The price of my soft drink was deducted as compensation. I would eat there again, but I'd be cautious and examine my plate carefully. As the plastic film was covered in sauce it was not easily visible.

Really enjoyable lunch. Attentive staff. Visited again more recently, found the service had slipped significantly and although the food was still good I remember it being better previously. They were very busy this time so perhaps they struggle to cope with increased demand? A little disappointed

The food is always incredible but they have got a new deal on the menu that means you get the equivalent of 3 extra sides, a cold meze annnnd a main, it's a deal for 2 tho for £40 but that's an awesome saving. My starter and main usually come to £19 so for the extra pound I get 3 extra sides. It's amazing!! This place is one of my go to favourite places to dine in Medway, hands down.

Absolutely terrific food. I have coeliac disease so need to be strictly gluten free and the waitstaff were very good letting me know what they can and can’t do for me. Highly recommend it (especially the mixed grill)!

Needed something to eat before the Theatre, came across this place. Fantastic tasty authentic Mediterranean food, lovely couple running it, very good service and really reasonable prices.

Decor is a bit drab, needs updating. Most Turkish restaurants I've been too give free bread at no extra charge, but they didn't.

Very pleasant. Food was excellent and a good range of drinks and wines. Was a little quiet because public are currently nervous due to Corona virus. Decor was nice, place was just a little cold (heat wise) for me so is 4.5 stars really. Would I recommend it? Definitely 😀👍

We went out for a meal on the spur of the moment and really pleased with our choice. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. All in all a very pleasant evening out.

Can't believe I've not written a review before as this is one restaurant we always return to for great service, great food and excellent value for money. Always a friendly welcome, it is a hidden gem if you like Greek/Turkish food. Even my mum loves it here, for the fine lamb cutlets. Try it, you won't be sorry!

What a gem of a place. Food was excellent. Service was fantastic. Lovely waiter could not do enough for us.. we had the set menu. Mix cold starters and mix grill for 2. The food was to die for.. would highly recommend.. total cost with 2 pints of coke was £35. Very good value for money

This is the first time we have tried this restaurant so our telephone order was a little experimental. We ordered spicy meatballs in a chilli dip (Inegol kofta), fries, garlic mushrooms in a creamy sauce and a mixed grill of lamb and chicken with peppers, tomatoes and rice. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the staff were friendly. Next time we will have a sit down meal at the restaurant.

The food there is great, love the atmosphere, but it's a long wait for food

We chanced upon this restaurant whilst enjoying a weekend away in the Medway towns and consider ourselves most fortunate to have done so. We all enjoyed our cold meze starters, our substantial and delicious main courses (Hünkar, Halep, Incik 'Keftico' & Mousakka) followed by desserts and Turkish coffees. The Turkish white wine was also a revelation. We look forward to finding an excuse to visit this excellent, great value restaurant again.

Our third visit - we love it! Simple and tasty food, with good beer and wine. We had the set meal for two which included the mixed starter, mixed grill and a moussaka and a Greek salad - delicious, and with alcohol came to under £70. Great service too!

My friend and I visited this restaurant to celebrate both of our lockdown birthdays and finally being able to safely meet up. We had a fabulous time here. The bread is amazing! The service from Adam is so lovely and friendly. The mussels starter was delicious and the mixed grill mains were outstanding. Both my friend and I can honestly say, that the food we had at this restaurant, was the best Turkish/Greek food that we've had 😊. The rice and chips were lovely, the Turkish red wine was delicious and the complimentary birthday shots were a lovely touch 😁. Will definitely be visiting again at some point. Maybe even try a takeaway at some point. Thank you to both Adam and the Chefs 👍🏾.

Gem in the heart of Chatham. Friendly staff. Mixed cold mezze for starter was delicious. Mains were large portions , so beware of eating too much lovely bread to start with as I didn't have room for my main. Good vegetarian options. Prices are great. Restaurant can be noisy when full. I would return.

Had a delivery from here last night and it was fantastic. Huge portions, prepped and cooked very well. Had the meze to share and there was loads of it. Breads and dips were so nice. Well done 5*

The food was absolutely incredible and was so nice to see something a little more traditional from a Turkish restaurant rather than the usual selection of grilled meats and rice. The halep and dolma was especially stand out items and portion sizes were more than enough. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant any more highly, a must if you are in the area.
