Secret Goldmine Cafe in Southwark

Delicious coffee and authentic Kiwi pies. The owner was so lovely and kind to chat to as well. Great hidden spot!

Vi el tablero publicitario en la calle y decidí conseguir un pastel para mi almuerzo. Pequeño lugar único debajo de uno de los arcos del ferrocarril y parecía bastante ocupado. Cuando me preguntaron si estaba comiendo o saliendo, decidí sacar mi pastel de carne y cebolla. Vi el precio y estaba un poco desconcertado! ! 5) 50 por un pastel pequeño! ! ! ! . . . y fue acusado de sacar también. Hola, esperaba cosas maravillosas, pero cuando se me ocurrió, lo habían comido en un microondas. La masa se había hundido en el medio y no parecía tan apetitosa. ¡Sorprendentemente no estuvo nada mal! . . . Pero no vale la pena el precio.

Me faltó tiempo, pero decidí aventurarme en Londres después de un viaje de trabajo allí, ¡con la esperanza de un delicioso pastel de kiwi! ¡Tampoco me decepcionó! El bistec con queso era increíble! Lo único que echo de menos es el clásico pastel de kiwi. Ambiente fantástico y personal. Volveré de nuevo.

Mi compañero es de Nueva Zelanda y él realmente extraña los pasteles de carne y queso, así que después de una pequeña investigación encontré esta pequeña joya escondida: no es fácil de encontrar a menos que sepa dónde está, pero el Café es realmente agradable, al igual que el propietario. , y la comida estaba deliciosa. Decent coffee and great pies - a classic kiwi cafe combo! Had heard the interview on Chris Evan's radio show and decided a visit was in order when next in that part of London - tucked away off the beaten track, but worth the search! Will definitely be back.

Was having a catch up with friends and promised them a taste of the classic steak and cheese pie from the Secret Goldmine Cafe. It escalated to a dozen pies being bought! Thank you for accommodating the request, the pies went down a treat! Can highly recommend everything about this place. A little off the beaten track, but so worth the effort! Will most definitely be back again (and again...).

Live nearby and go here for good coffee and sausage rolls. It’s a bit hidden but this place doubles as a pie/pastry manufacturer. It would be easy to miss it though!

I was happy to discover this lovely place which is hidden near Bermondsey station. The interior is very stylish and tasteful and our coffee and cakes tasted amazing. The staff is lovely and happy to chat with the customers.

Visited it as a treat for my wife as she misses the kiwi steak and cheese pies and loves scotch eggs. Arrived soon after advertised opening time to find the shutter door down, so went for a walk around the neighboorhood for half an hour, and came back to find it just being opened. Ordered a steak and cheese pie each and a coffee. When the pie came out it consisted of a steak pie with a slice of cheese on top and a slice on the plate. OK we thought. When we cut into it, it was lukewarm at best. so mixed the cheese into the filling and sent it back to be heated up more. Second time out was hot. When we went to leave the lady behind the counter was apologetic and only charged for one pie.

I love this little spot - great coffee, delicious pies and a really friendly team! Definitely worth finding. And it's only a 5 minute walk from Bermondsey station!
