The service, coffee, and food were all brilliant. We had a variety of fresh pastries and filled croissants. Excellent service from a very friendly and funny Scottish guy, didn’t catch his name to mention it. If you’re in the area you must stop here

COMIDA: Tomé un café y un pastel de nata. El café era excelente, lo disfruté mucho. El pastel de nata era un poco normal, no me gustó mucho. SERVICIO: de primera. Amable y servicial. AMBIENTE: Me gusta el espíritu del café (ayudar a las personas sin hogar), pero todo el lugar estaba desordenado y sucio. Por ejemplo, las mesas tienen patas de hierro y una base de hierro plano. Las bases tenían plumas, migas y polvo encima. Los cojines sueltos de los bancos están sucios. Mi mesa estaba pegajosa. La ventana y la puerta están sucias. Este nivel de limpieza es realmente inaceptable y muy desagradable en un establecimiento de alimentos.

La bienvenida fue muy amable y el café aún mejor. La masa era enorme, muy húmeda y fresca. Este es definitivamente un establecimiento que visitaré nuevamente.

Second Shot es el café más genial del mundo. Capacita y emplea a personas afectadas por la falta de vivienda para que puedan lograr la autosuficiencia y ofrece a los clientes la opción de "pagar" pagando más para cubrir el costo de las comidas para aquellos que no pueden pagar. El café y los alimentos son de primera categoría y tienen un precio mucho más razonable que en establecimientos comparables, y el personal es amable y servicial. Proponte patrocinar este gran establecimiento.

Caring employees, always in a good mood and attentive and the best matcha latte of London! Second Shot Coffee is a pleasant place where it is easy to chat with everyone. This cafe creates a real social bond in Bethnal Green, while offering high quality cafes. Love this place !

A small but pleasant little coffee shop around the corner from Bethnal Green tube station, with some seating inside & a couple of chairs on the pavement outside. They have almond & oat milk available for dairy-free customers, as well as a couple of vegan-friendly options on their food counter (including an avocado bagel & raspberry flapjack). They also have the option for customers to contribute to a ‘pay it forward’ scheme, which is a nice way to help support the local community.

Great coffee, and ok pastries. Super people and a very worthy social enterprise. Worth supporting. Near to the tube and very quick and efficient.

Called for a coffee really good blend and right beside the bus stop so you can drop in for a cup while waiting for the stanstead airport bus.

Simple idea buy coffee help nice people help homeless people. Really friendly and great coffee. Went there and didnt realise the purpose of this coffee shop. Now if Costa and all the other blue chip companies adopted the same approach instead of chasing the homeless away from their shop fronts! Any way mini rant over, enjoy the coffee and tip these guys!

Tiny cafe near Bethnal Green station, serving very good coffee and a decent selection of snacks. Would be a great spot in itself, but it also has a social mission of training people affected by homelessness to become baristas and then helping them to find long-term employment. Also, a "pay it forward" option where you can pay for a coffee for someone in need. This actually seems to be working, so why not stop by and do something good for yourself and the community?

We visited this coffee shop by chance and it was a great decision. It was by far the best coffee we had in london over our 8 day visit to London. The staff were great and the coffees were smooth and rich. I definitely recommend this coffee shop. And don’t forget to pay it forward by prepaying a cofffee and meal for the homeless - a great initiative at such a small cost.

In my opinion the best coffee shop in Bethnal Green. The coffee tastes so smooth, the stuff is always really friendly plus they are helping the community with pay it forward scheme. What’s not to love?

I live in East London. I love my coffee. Amidst the plethora of coffee shops in this part of the world, this is far and away my favourite. I have never had a bad coffee from here (really). Most good places you occasionally get a bad barista or just an over extracted espresso. Not here. Always perfectly drawn with perfect steamed milk or perfectly brewed. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. And it is all of that before I wax lyrical about the community role of this shop. You can buy coffee and food for the homeless at cost price and draw it up on the wall. I can't say that I don't love the opportunity to stretch my artistic muscles with a pen but the opportunity to exercise altruism whilst having a caffeine fix is a double winner. They also have really reasonably priced beans and a constantly rotating selection.
