Tried Mita Chicken for the first time..... unreal!

Excellent meal here Sunday. Very tasty and good value for money. Will definitely return. The Lamb Hariali was tremendous, highly recommended.

We have dined here a few times and not had a problem. Last time we visited the onions in my dish were raw. Tonight our mixed starter was cold, the onion bhaji was cold. My king prawn bhuna had no flavour. Very dissatisfying.

Food is excellent will come again

One of the nice indian restaurant. It is located in perfect place where you want to get away. Their food was enexpected yummy I tried different kind of menu and they are all were perfect.

We had pops n pickles, lamb chop starter which was marinated and delicious, mita thali and tikka massala mains, pilau and plain naan. Gorgeous meal for me and my midland friends who were visiting. Lovely attentive staff and ambience in the restaurant. Back on boxing day

Delicious food at great value. Had King Prawn curry with boiled rice and peshwari naan. Cracking customer service too and will definitely be back. 👌

Hairs in both masala curry dishes. Didn’t bring the chips outwith the food. We asked and they still didn’t bring them. When asked again they brought the chips just as everybody else finished their meal. When going to pay the man made the price up from the top of his head and we should have been charged £13.50 going off the menu but was charged a lot more. Will not be retuning and disappointed as usually love it here

Although the place looks grimy, once inside the food is relatively cheep and of good quality, the specials are reasonably priced and taste great…would definitely give it a go

Food and service is great, no waiting around for them to take your empty plates away. Portions are well sized and well priced!

When you start with stale poppadoms you know where things are headed unfortunately. The prawn balti tasted more like a prawn sweet and sour and the lamb Jalfrezi just lacked any sort of kick. The mushroom bhaji tasted more of onion and the mushroom rice equally mediocre. All in all, not great to our palette but to others this could equally be perfect. I doubt we’ll be ordering again.

Ordered a special and then extra samosa. Samosa was terrible not cooked properly so couldn't eat and curry was like water. Waited ages for food to be delivered. Very disappointed as I have had lovely food before and the full meal was binned.

Good staff, well mannered and decent food service. I'll go again when next in town.

Abysmal. The chicken in my Chicken Chatt starter was stringy and had no flavour. My tandoori chicken on the bone was coated in charcoal and was tough and again no flavour. My wife had chicken dhansak which was at least spicy but had so much sugar added that it was inedible. This was our second visit as we thought we would give it another chance but never again.

Eight of us visited on a Thursday night not realising it was their banquet night so were pleasantly surprised at what was on offer for £10.95 a head. Our table had been reserved so we were sat down immediately and drinks ordered. Waiter was a bit slow coming back to take our food orders but we were not in a hurry and the place was packed out. Poppadoms and pickle tray, choice of starter, choice of main course, rice or nan bread and a side dish were all in the price! Because of this we feared the worst but we needn't have done as we all enjoyed the food we had chosen and by the end we were well and truly stuffed! Drink prices were also very reasonable. Service was pleasant and food came out in a good time. All in all a great meal.

The food was delicious. The staff where friendly, was unsure what to expect from the outside. However was presently surprised. Great value for money. Would recommend and will come back again.

Don't be put off by the outside - peeling paint, dirty windows, no menu! But inside it is very pleasant, the staff were friendly and there's a good choice of menu, all reasonably priced. There are booths, so you don't have to watch other diners, and even the table area was well spaced. We had a lovely meal, well presented and cooked.

A massive Thank You to all the staff for our friends 80th last night. Brilliant food as usual & staff looked after our party of 16 all night, great hospitallity 👍

Would'nt go any place else. Great food lovely staff, fantastic atmosphire and surroundings. Our special family / friends birthday suprise was amazing 100% perfect. May 23. We also have our take outs from Seaton Tandoori always lovely food .

Good food and everything more or less ready at the same time for 8 people

Had meal with a friend lastnite, food was terrible since new owners took over, had food poisoning, asked for half money back, was refused, not a care in the world these dirty immigrants, there are alot better places to eat in the area, beware.

Gave us a table that wasn’t set (there was others around us set so I assume these ones were reserved) and flung the cutlery at us. Very fast service, too fast, we felt rushed. Not enough dips for the amount of popodoms, they seem to give the same amount of dips to a table of 5 as a table of 2. Starters were ok, curry’s tasty but not much chicken. Naan and rice was nice

Ordered delivery for 18-15 after two phone calls eventually turned up at 18-55.so had to reheat everything as it was lukewarm. Plus minus the mango chutney we ordered. So won’t be using this place again

We dined here on Saturday night, one of the best curries I've had in a long long time, exceptional service alongside beautiful food and presentation. 10/10. I highly recommend.

Enjoyed a nice meal with family here. Service was excellent and selection of different meals was good. Portion size was just right. The atmosphere for a Saturday night was good and there was still space. No issues with parking as large car park across the road. I will be coming back. I would recommends it to others a good place.

Food was good when we finally received it but it came in fits and starts so by the time all six of us were served some of the meals were getting cold. Not up to the usual high standard we’re used to from seaton tandoori. Sorry guys must do better.

Good food with excellent taste and amazing chicken. Great service. Was a little quiet when we first arrived but got busier as we got through our meal. Will definitely be heading back to try something else off the menu soon.

Went on new years eve. Booked in advance. It was very busy. Food excellent, service great and everyone was very happy. Will be going back very soon.

Lovely food had the Thursday special menu. Lots of food and it was very tasty. Great portion sizes. Only complaint was that we'd ordered another round of drinks, didn't arrive and was charged for them but they rectified that quickly. Overall a really nice restaurant and we will be visiting again

One of our favorite restaurants and the owner is just the loveliest guy. We been going since the year 2000 and love it.

I only come to the Seaton Tandoori twice a year but it's well worth the 400 mile round trip. The Tandoori was recommended to us by a close friend who lived in Billingham and, after our first visit there, understood why. One of the visits is the end of a day out for kinship carers and we are always treated as families. Some of the children in our care have additional needs or disabilities and the staff always treat them with courtesy. I'd like to think we receive special treatment from the but we don't. I've seen how they treat all their customers and it's as if each customer is a family member and special. What I also like about the restaurant is that they have curries on the menu that I have never seen elsewhere. This means that I can try something that I've never had before. If you're in the Middlesborough / Hartlepool (or want to visit the setting of of "The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe) then you must visit the Seaton Tandoori

I can not believe how any Indian take away can sell me a dupiaza with no taste. So disappointed! Not edible!

Food was good, very tasty and the service was fine. Atmosphere question is unfair as it was Wednesday night and I was eating alone. If you were in a group, it would be okay, I'm sure. Overall it's good and reasonably priced. I would come here again definitely

We had the best ever evening at Seaton Tandoori. The service was exceptional with attentive and helpful waiters. The food was excellent. The customer service exceeded all expectation and the Manager went the extra mile recommending various dishes for us. Every dish was delicious. The venue is tastefully decorated, comfortable and warm. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. This is a family run business of around 24 years and today you get the same warm welcome that you did when it first opened.

Superb delicious food, lots of choice. Polite, friendly, helpful. Easy to approach staff. Cosy atmosphere, stunning decor. Elegant impressive washrooms. Truly a remarkable experience. 180 miles from my home. But when in the area again. Will book a table.

I rarely write bad reviews of restaurants, but in this case I'll make a notable exception. We ordered chicken tikka masala takeaways. We placed our order by phone and were told to collect 45 minutes later. They pretty well stuck to this time. The chicken tikka masala was the worst that I've ever eaten - and that's quite an achievement, as I've eaten a lot of them over the years. In common with the last three reviews posted indicate, our 'curry' was lacking in spice. However, the worst bit was the fact that the sauce was overwhelmingly sweet, almost as though a sweet and sour sauce had been added. There was a huge amount of sauce compared to the amount of chicken. The chicken was also tough and lacked flavour, and there was no evidence of it having been marinated in advance. It didn't have a grilled flavour, and I strongly suspect that it was just pan fried and dumped in the sauce, rather than first being grilled in the tandoor. The rice was OK - if you like a distinct coconut flavour - and the garlic naan was good. However, nothing could redeem the diabolical chicken, and we only ate half of ours before giving up. What a waste of money. Given that all of the recent reviews are terrible, I wonder whether this place has changed hands recently? Avoid at all costs.

I ordered via Hartlepool eats for between 10.45 pm and 11.30pm. By 11.30 this order had not arrived. I rang and they said it had just left. When it arrived it was cold and really really bland.

UNBELIEVABLE FOOD. One of the best Indians I have had all dishes were full of flavour. The decor is cute and it's clean albeit small restaurant. The Thursday and Sunday happy hour is amazing value for money.

The staff are very friendly. We had booked our table for 6.00, 6.15 before our order was taken and at 7.30 we were asked if we would like to vacate our table as they had another booking 7.30. We hadn't finished our drinks and had to leave them as there was no other seats, the meal 3 out of 10 , very poor. Will not go back.

We visit Seaton tandoori at least once a week it is our favourite place to eat. We have never had a bad meal, everything is always clean and the staff are wonderful people. Excellent value for money and you are always made to feel welcome...

Worse curry I’ve ever had. If you order a takeaway do not give them your mobile as they harass you with calls and texts every few days offering 10% discounts and if you send / pay for text to opt out the texts start again a few days later. AVOID AVOID AVOID - TERRIBLE BUSINESS
