fantastic food would recommend

wouldn't order a Indian from anywhere else in Hartlepool

Two hours late and then when it finally arrived the can of coke ordered was missing

The food was disappointing unfortunately. The food arrived hot and on time, however, the rice was very oily, the chicken was extremely tough and chewy and the Korma sauce quite tasteless.

Again cannot fault the food and value, it’s excellent but delivery was really late again and spoils it. I would rather they be honest on delivery expectations and then at least you know when it’s coming

Food turned up well over an hour after ordering (advertised 45-55 mins), and arrived cold and soggy. Usually nice scran from here but was average at best this evening.

Ordered the food at 5:30 and it turned up at 20 past 7, chicken was tough and the rest of the order was saturated in water and grease. Won’t be going here again

Chips were cold and stale there was no keema in my nan and was very pale and chicken was tuff starter had no salad or sauce

**INDIAN COTTAGE** **ATTENTION** You DID NOT fill the curries to the top!!!!! The Thali silver containers were filled LESS than 3/4 (70%) and with LESS chicken in than normal (ALL INTENTIONAL OF COURSE) (FOR GREED PURPOSES) Some chicken was ROCK HARD and the curries were very watery as though they were watered down!!!!! Naan bread burnt. We paid you the top price for the Cottage Thali, it wasn't a special night, so why did you RIP US OFF!!!!! The last couple of meals you have been delivering us before this one have been out the shop within 10-15 minutes so it's clear as a bell that this tells us that they are NOT being cooked from fresh and are WARMY UP JOBS, we have been very good customers with you for over 20 YEARS, BUT if you take the RISE out of us and SCAM us again then we will just STOP ordering from you, as now you are really WINDING US UP with your GREED!!!!! YOU ARE GOING RIGHT DOWN HILL!!!!! YOU ARE EMBARRASSING!!!!! WE ARE DISGUSTED!!!!! BE VERY ASHAMED!!!!!

Our ‘go to’ Indian takeaway meal = thali. Ample for 2 people - 2 meat curries, a vegetarian curry, starters, rice & naan bread. Delicious! Thanks again

Food arrived 30-40 mins earlier than stated and was out of the shop in 11 mins so it definitely can't have been cooked from scratch but the food tasted quite nice...... maybe we ordered a bit late but I'm on the fence with this one......... ; - )

Very tasty Special Tandoori Indian cottage. Came 45 mins earlier than expected. We wanted fried onions with it, there was none at all though. Next time hopefully. Both Mint sauces were only half full. But all in all a very nice meal. Thanks again. Brian.

Excellent value for money (Sunday special). Korma was rich and full of flavour. Naan’s cooked to perfection. Beautiful rice and chips. On top form tonight. Highly recommend

Regularly order from here, food is really lovely. 10/10 The only thing I've got to moan about is always curry inside the bag all over all the other things in the bag, quite messy.

Not the usual standard of thali tonight?? Rice hard ? and chips hard ? There normally fresh light n fluffy , grandaughter disappointed. Normally left overs save next day . But it's gon in the bin tonight .

It has been the best Indian takeaway I've ever eaten.They actually know what flavor is.Ive used the Indian cottage for over 20yrs.Ive dined in and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience, the food took just over two hours to arrive, and parts of it was cold. We ordered lamb madras and it may as well have been for vegetarians, it’s had small bits of lamb in and the rest was runny curry in the carton which did not taste of madras. Chips were cold and soggy and didn’t taste of much, highly disappointing after waiting so long for it to arrive.

The service and quality of the food are reliable and rarely disappoint; good solid Indian cuisine. The cottage isn't the best Indian takeaway in the area, but it is the gold standard that we judge all others by. The service and quality of the food are reliable and rarely disappoint.

After waiting for 2 and a half hours for the food it came and it was greasy and just awful not to mention the driver tried to rob us of £10 too!

Waited over 2 and half hours for the food. When i called, I got told 20 minutes, but 50 minutes later, it still wasn't here. Was told the shop was really busy, that's fair enough, but maybe dont take as many orders if you can't deliver on time.

They are always slow but the delivery times are now almost over 2 hours every time

Meal 30 minutes late phoned up said he just left when came freezing cold no taste this is the second time ordered and been late never again gone right down the pan

Food was so cold when i called the restaurant he just said it was freshly cooked then hung up. 4 bits of chicken in the full potion of chicken curry, STAFF WERE VERY RUDE

Delivery was requested for 6.45pm and it was delivered at 8.10pm after two phone calls to the restaurant were they lied about our order being out for delivery. This will be our last order with this restaurant. Deliveries are always late but enough is enough.

Food came around 2hrs 15 mins after ordering, arrived cold even though I brought it inside immediately. Paid for poppadom and wasn’t sent any, also the tikka masala was tasteless, chips hard and didn’t seem cooked. Naan bread also tasteless even though I paid extra for garlic naan. Disappointing, wouldn’t order again.

Food was nice and hot . But 2nd time orderd from here and took 2 hours for delivery. Was on a Sunday though which no doubt busy day for them . Will try again

Delivery bang on time but we where unable to eat the food as it was fully covered in madras last time. 90 minutes for a bag of madras 👎

Leakage of curry all over the bag and it’s stained my white worktops

5 star for both restaurant service and food quality but 1 star for your miserable delivery person, go to speak nicely and courteously to him and he walks off.. that is unacceptable in all aspects!

Late, first time ordering special. Maybe they had alot of orders because the food was beautiful and fresh. When it arrived it was piping hot, don't mind waiting for good food

Late by some mins, but food was piping hot so is all good. Though I hope that the food had more spice to it but it is still delicious.
