Really sorry but the food was really disappointing The food arrived cold and the potato wedges weren’t fresh They were like they were made from the left overs of a jacket potato Would have been better if they were hot Unfortunately this ws not the case

A delightful cafe! I will definitely go again. The open prawn sandwich was delicious, my cappuccino was great, service was prompt and the staff were attentive. All in a peaceful setting within a beautiful garden centre. What's not to like? Highly recommended.

Lovely garden centre but the cafe staff do not know how to treat customers. A very rude lad removed the sauces bottles etc from our table before we had time to use them..

Used to go here a lot with my friend for lunch. Really enjoyed there brunch menu. Went on Sunday midday only to find out that the brunch menu now stops at 11am. I am vegetarian and my friend is glutten free. Nothing suitable for us on very limited menu. Left and went somewhere else. Will not be returning again unless it goes back to the old menu. Staff where advised of our reasons for leaving

Such a lovely garden centre. However, we had to sit outside on a cold day. Still not allowing dogs inside. What a shame!

Went here for a coffee after a cold walk. The music - which seems to be a new feature- was far too loud. I suspect it was for the benefit of the staff, IMO it is not needed, certainly not at that volume. Will put me off going again.

Whilst I'd been to the garden centre a few times, this was the first time that I'd visited this cafe although my wife had been several times, under it's various guises, for a coffee and cake..... We arrived around late morning after a damp and cold walk with the specific intention of a snack. I was surprised by the amount of room available from a capacity perspective, there's lots and I think that if had been a warm summers day then there would still have been plenty. In spite of the weather, we chose to sit outside since we were suitably attired as it was a little chilly but not an issue. Although intending only a small snack, I was seduced (easily done) by the 'Fully Loaded Breakfast' and a pot of earl grey. My good lady partook of their small bowl of soup (Moroccan) a slice of cake and a pot of lemon & ginger tea. The breakfast was as good as it promised as was the soup by all accounts too. The breakfast consisted of a toasted slice of sour dough, two eggs, one sausage, two slices of bacon, some roasted vine tomatoes, some green stuff (I think it was rocket) and more gorgeous mushrooms than I've seen on a single breakfast plate for some while! Not in the least bit greasy. The service was quick and pleasant and the food was excellent. The teas were both from infused leaves etc and were excellent too. All in all the cost was 0.05p short of £20.00 and I'd say very good value indeed. We'll certainly visit again, although maybe not this week and would happily recommend.

I have only just recently discovered this great local cafe. Previously I have just enjoyed a coffee however mum and I popped in for a light lunch today and enjoyed the delicious Thai carrot and sweet potato soup. There was quite a wait as they were full however it is such a lovely environment, it didn’t matter. We will be back to try the all day breakfasts.....

After the relaunch, my wife and I popped in for a coffee after visiting the Garden Centre to find the Muddy Boots Cafe more or less full of people enjoying lunch. So, we went for Breakfast on a Saturday morning. A really nice menu with lots of choice for everyone including vegetarians and vegans. There is also a lot attention to allergens. A great little cafe which has been successfully relaunched. It is well worth a visit.

I visit here a lot en route home from a walk. The service is great - the coffee lovely and the food is delicious. My two friends from Maidenhead came with me recently and now want to come back. I am not a big fan of dogs inside eateries but so far I have not encountered any issues so I can only assume the dog owners are sensible and considerate!

This cafe has changed hands, nothing like the picture of the sausage roll and salad! Its absolutely super - really lovely fresh cafe food with lots of healthy options, amazing bread, fresh farm eggs and super light lunches and novel (really lovely) soups. On top of the that the staff are simply delightful, friendly and can't do enough for you. Recommend you visit.

We popped in for a bite to eat before a dog walk , they were very welcoming , even had Scooby snacks for the pooches! We all had different dishes , the Moroccan chicken and lentil soup was really tasty, sublime full English breakfast, the delicious falafel salad and smashed avocado toast . Service lovely even though we were fussy and we decided to pop back in after our walk for some cakes and coffee. Right next door to Romans garden centre , it was full all day with people popping in for tea and cake or full breakfast and brunch . We will be back ! X In the summer they have courtyard garden tables .

Me encantó. Y los bollos y crema de leche eran fabulosas! Sin duda volveremos.

This is one of my favourite places for a coffee or light lunch. It is on the edge of fields, and is part of the Rowan garden centre. I enjoy cycling here - which is what I did on my latest visit. There are nice old fashioned tables inside plus the usual garden benches outside. I had a jacket potato, which was nice and filling.

We often take the dogs for a long walk across the fields and have breakfast and coffee here. They do a range of breakfast dishes as well as lunchtime food. The staff are really friendly and they give the dogs a little treat. You can take your dogs inside the cafe but if the weather is nice we sit outside as they are big dogs. We also go here just for coffee and cake. This is a nice place to go and read the papers and relax.

Pleasant enough place to stop for a coffee and breakfast when visiting Rowan's garden centre. But £3.50 for a bacon sandwich which I think had one rasher of bacon stretched between 2 pieces of standard white sliced bread ... very poor value.

I go hear fairly regularly and always enjoy it. On my most recent visit however things were a bit shaky. I went to the counter to order and was behind a lady who was complaining half her order hadn't come out, so bad start there. Then the four very young girls behind the counter (two of home were stood eating) just stared at me then all looked at each other until someone said hello and asked for my order. I ordered a mocha and hot chocolate and as the girl started to make them someone else told me they were out of chocolate powder. Not a problem but then one of them picked up the little dusting cup for cappuccino and looked at it, looked at her colleague, looked at me, looked at the pot again before luckily deciding against trying to make that into £6 worth of drink. I instead ordered a coffee and a cold drink and had to prompt the server for a glass. Whilst all the girls were polite it does add a touch of trepidation when every staff member appears to be 16 and with no adult supervision. Plus just standing eating your lunch in the serving area is unprofessional and probably not the best idea hygiene wise. If there were any actual adults working then they need to sharpen up the supervision. It's a working cafe with paying customers, not a practice for a real job.

Some kind of joke. Booked a table for Fathers Day at 12pm. Seemed ominous when we arrived (10 mile Journey with 2 kids) and it was still closed at 11:55 with no sign of any life from within or the kitchen. Sat in garden until 12:10 then called them. Apparently “Jane usually opens before 12”, and “who said we’re closed?”. Could take no more of the farcical situation and left to find a place with far more accommodating staff with a level of competence. I’m sure this place may have been good at some point in time but whoever runs it now clearly has either zero customer care or is being seriously let down by whoever should be running it. The gardener is doing a great job though!!

I went with friends last night and ordered the Christmas turkey. It was very disappointing. The turkey tasted processed and the bread sauce was no more than slightly flavoured milk with no bread consistency at all. The veg were ok but the potatoes had obviously been reheated several times. A pity as I had always rated the restaurant highly. I did not say anything at the time as did not want to ruin the evening with friends.

Great easy gastropub within 2 minutes walk to the station. The Guinness was fresh and creamy and service was friendly and nice. The atmosphere was easy and happy. Easy choice if in the neighborhood. Food wasn't too bad either.

I would definitely return to The Jolly Cricketers. The food was lovely - I had the duck leg, very crispy and tender. Service was great and quick. The atmosphere generally is very nice, relaxed cosy pub vibes. They don’t have parking so you need to park in the village- there are some spaces outside, however worse case scenario you may have to walk a couple of mins (although easy to pull over outside to drop off those that are less mobile).
