The food was very good . It was very well cooked and presented beautifully. We had the fish and chips , really tasty and the presentation was excellent. The decor is modern and very smart. All in all it was a very pleasurable experience.

Excellent food at a brilliant price, BUT I don't want to eat in a disco!! 11 out of 10 for the food, but 3 out of 10 for ambience!

Brilliant friendly staff, very welcoming to my young daughter. Ioveley atmosphere and good value for money.

We came for Sunday lunch very good service and the meal was so delicious I had a chicken dinner . Dog friendly too Spotless clean 5 🌟

Great home cooked meal , pies were excellent. followed by spotted dickens custard. staff helpful a enjoyable evening.

We were in the area and visited on a Monday night, basically because the better restaurants were closed on a Monday. No atmosphere whatsoever and basic decor. The sharing platter to start was cheap frozen tasteless food in the main, the se food platter for main wasn’t much better, tasteless frozen ingredients. The curry wasn’t as bad, they redeemed themselves with the dessert, quite acceptable. Not a place I would return to in a hurry, substandard food on the whole.

stayed at Seashells B an B Last evening Wonderfull welcome .Spotless bedroom. exceptional Meal .vegan menu and food excellent Breakfast was Hot and delicious. The family that run it made us feel like one of the family. i cannot recommend them enough. we will certainly be back.

We hosted a family celebration at Seashells which was enjoyed by all of the generations. The staff were very helpful with the planning and worked hard on the evening to make it special. The menu provides a wide selection of choice and is good value. The grandchildren were able to utilise the rear courtyard to visit the animals and use the small amusement arcade to play whilst adults relaxed at the end of the meal. Venue very clean and staff very friendly and helpful throughout making it a great evening and a venue we will certainly visit again. Thank you

Nice room slept very well then came breakfast such a rude owner not one pleasentry more or less threw plates on table, grunt if you asked for more toast so spoilt our first break away felt unwelcome

I wish I had read all reviews especially the bad ones as I would not of booked . Read reviews and you wouldn’t waste your money . Lesson learnt

I don’t usually write reviews but the food at this place was so awful I want to pre-warn people! Stopped here for a roast dinner today, seemed like an ok place at first with the game section and animals but when the food came out we were all so disappointed, this is honestly the worst roast dinner I have ever had in my life! I could only stomach half of it and then gave up and usually I always clear my plate! It had no flavour whatsoever and the bits that did taste of something tasted absolutely rancid. The kids didn’t eat theirs either, my sons beef was basically a lump of fatty jelly. And the Yorkshire puddings did not even look like Yorkshire puddings, I literally have no words to describe them they were that bad!

We chose Seashells because it was advertised as dog friendly and was close to the beach. Our grand dog agreed it was. The interior design and furnishings were exceptional for a B&B in this price range. Our bed was comfortable, plenty of drawers and a wardrobe. Everywhere was clean. Breakfast was good and the menu choices for the rest of the day were excellent. We ate in every evening. We would advise booking a table to avoid a long wait on busy evenings.

Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!! I have just been disrespected because I explained to the owner I couldn’t eat the salmon on my fish platter because it was rock solid. I also mentioned I didn’t expect it all to be deep fried fish as that wasn’t put on the menu. When a menu states the food is all cooked fresh I didn’t think to question it. He was a rude old man who clearly has 0 customer service skills and clearly doesn’t understand boil in a bag in not fresh! The colour of it was off putting but to lift a whole piece of salmon up with my fork for it all to lift up just shows. I left everything and went to the bar to pay, he asked me for the amount and I asked for the receipt first. I explained I wasn’t willing to pay £15 for my meal as I couldn’t eat it and the manager shouted over “well you ordered it” infront of other staff members sat at the bar drinking a pint (tad unprofessional) I explained if I could’ve eaten it I would’ve done. He then added “just because it wasn’t cooked to your liking - don’t ever come in her again” well that just tipped me over the edge. Thank god I’m barred from your chatty awful fast food place. Seabreeze is the best fresh food restaurant if you want a lovely meal!

The food was atrocious, the service was atrocious, the management were extremely aggressive and abusive. When we complained about the food and service the couple that own this place quickly became aggressive shouting abuse at us in front of other customers including children and older people. Very embarrassing and not deserved, though no-one would ever deserve the language the were hurling at us. Bad mouthing clients from nearby restaurants too. I wouldn't want anyone else to have such an experience as we endured. Please avoid under any circumstances.

We were so excited to go out for an evening meal as a family in Sutton on Sea, one of our favourite places. However, this was soon to change with our totally horrific experience at Seashells. On arrival (we had booked) we were met and seated and told that there would be a delay in food as they were so busy - we were the only ones in the restaurant but understand there were tables in the garden. We ordered several 5 item platter boards and our daughter ordered a pizza - during the order being taken the waitress rushed off mid order with no explanation - she eventually returned saying she had had to take out food. A gentleman delivered our food to the table with a dirty looking tea towel saying to watch the dishes as they were very hot - the dishes were thrown onto table and some of the food splattered onto the table, we had all ordered different dishes but were unable to move them from being scattered randomly as they were so hot it would have taken skin off your fingers, however the food in the dishes was cold and there was no evidence of the food being cooked in the dishes. The garlic bread was anaemic and looked as if it had not been in the oven - the chicken wings were cold with very runny sauce - the scampi was total mush as well as cold, the hunter's chips has unmelted cheese on them - the nachos came in a pot with no salsa just unmelted grated cheese on some crisps - the base of the pizza was totally raw and uncooked with a great deal of white flour on the bottom - we could go on (we eat out all the time and have never had a reason to complain elsewhere) we did eat some of the food as the one member of staff was bust and no check back done. We were contemplating just leaving but felt it was so bad that we had to mention it - this is where the farce escalated!!!!! On telling the waitress in a quiet, calm manner she fetched the owner who came across and said that was how it was cooked, that was how they always cooked it and if we didn't like it then it was tough - we showed him the raw pizza dough and he was adamant it was fine!! There was no attempt to make amends, offer any apology, we said we were not happy to pay as it was inedible - his reply was 'you are paying for the lot' we told him of our consumer rights at which point he went into a rage, he told us we were 'typical brits' not wanting to pay for anything, he accused us of coming in not wanting to pay which was not the case, we informed him we regularly eat out and mentioned another restaurant in Sutton to which he said to (in expletives) to go back there with the rest of the tw$ts!!!! all this in front of our 13 year old daughter. He called us robbers and told us to get out as were were barred - all infront of other patrons who had come into the bar and our daughter who was extremely upset by this terrible experience. We will never ever ever go back there and would warn anyone going there to think twice as we would hate for anyone to go through this horrendous experience - mistakes happen but their customer handling was just awful

We've just stayed for 2 nights at Seashells, it was very nice, warm and cosy. The premises were clean and maintained in good decorative repair. Lots of covid-measures were in place which was very reassuring. The hosts were very friendly and the cooked breakfasts were tasty and kept us going all day. Would certainly recommend to other guests and return ourselves.

Had a great meal here. Social distancing was taken very seriously by the staff. Food was lovely and service was great. The animal area outside is an added attraction. Will visit again.

Called in mid afternoon and looking forward to a quality meal on a rainy day.We ordered 2 courses with a 12 inch Pizza to share between us for our starter which was fine, my partner ordered liver for her main course.I ordered one of their special burgers, and after quite a long while our main courses arrived. I noticed straight away that my burger was only tepid warm and so were the rest of items on my plate. In truth it was probably the most tasteless meal I have had to date. The burger was cheap and nasty with no taste, the peas looked like garden peas but tasted of nothing, the wedges were stone cold and in fact the whole meal was disgusting. I know I should have told the staff my meal was cold but it should have been hot when served to me in the first place. The only positive thing was they had the government half price deal, otherwise the Burger would have cost £8.95 for what can only be described as utter garbage.Mixed reviews on this restaurant but I feel it’s not a Happy Place with underlying tensions.

the running of this establishment is an absolute shambles. the manager was abusive towards his staff in front of customers, which left me feeling rather uneasy to say the least. we were seated outside in a rather smelly seating area. the smell was due to various tropical birds (housed in small cages) and ducks kept in the area. the waiter asked for us to write our orders on paper, as he struggled to take the orders on two occasions himself ( he appeared anxious, probably due to working in that environment and with the manager, shaking at times). we happily obliged and wrote out our orders. the food took longer than i would have expected, with the manager advising '5 more minutes' on various occasions. once the food arrived it was not the correct ordered, with the manager advising it would be '2 minutes' to get it right ( this gave me little reassurance) incorrect food was provided and other meals missed altogether.**staff did not wear ppe face masks**. at this point we decided to leave feeling very dissatisfied with the attitude of the manager (passive aggressive) and the general experience. we paid for the drinks and partly eaten meals. whilst leaving the establishment an individual within the establishment began to film our children in an unnerving manner, this caused significant distress to my young children and will be reported to the police accordingly. this act was very much intimidating.please please please avoid, there are some great restaurants in sutton on sea and surrounding area. this just is not one of them. im all for supporting local businesses and will continue to do so, just not this one.kindest regards

Enjoyed my trip owners are very pleasant and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean.when we arrived we asked for the football on the TV they did it for us and also keeped the bar open for us .

I will start with the plus’s first! £3 for a main meal which although basic was more than adequate and I have no issues with this at all. There is a full menu for various main meals at a higher price, deserts can be ordered from this too as the £3 menu is only for a small selection of mains.The toilet is clean There is free on street parking in the road outside.The issue came with the desert my friend and I ordered. We both ordered the ice cream sundaes (mine was the smartie one) firstly both came without the cream on the top(it clearly shows cream on the menu photo). I did mention this to the waitress who chose to ignore my comment. Both my friend and I started on the ice cream, after one mouthful we looked at each other and said almost together that it was awful. It was like a mix of ice cream and fine sand. We did say to the waitress that it was most unpleasant and she got the (lady) owner who said that it was fine no one else had complained mmmm we were in a group and everyone who had ice cream said it was “gritty” we asked her to bring a spoon and try it... she refused and said she would taste it in the kitchen. My friend and I did not eat it and returned it to the waitress in the bar 2 others in our group left half of there’s too. The sundae cost £4.99 (obviously this is a huge overcharge but it’s where they gain on the £3 main).My friend went to pay the bill saying that the sundae was not eaten so we would not be paying for it! The (Male) owner was very rude saying that if you order you pay for it!! Even though it was inedible,!! My friend paid only because we were in a group and we didn’t want to cause any upset to others as they had paid although they too didn’t eat most of it. One of our group asked if they had had freezer issues which didn’t go down too well. Needless to say I don’t think we will be returning again.

A wonderful place to stay, food was cooked to order so don’t expect it 10 mins after ordering. Everything that came out of the kitchen was as it should have been. The rooms are well equipped and very clean. The staff were excellent and very friendly.

Doesn't serve tap water only bottled, at cost, meal very disappointing ,chips undercooked,lasagne cut from larger portion and burnt around edges all seemed to have been warmed up!! Dog friendly eating area didn't have dog water dish only an ice cream box outside. How this hotel won TV 4 in a bed twice l don't know. Would not try again when l visit Sutton.

Reasonably priced restaurant with a make your own pie night and 2 for £12 fish and chip Fridays. Cannot comment on the accommodation as we didn’t stay there.

Stayed at this B/B family member said food was good so had a lunch there it was good freshly cooked nice and hot

friendly welcome for us and our small dog ate one evening - good 'pub style grub' would recommend the place as offering good value

The place itself is nice and modern. We ordered food. Nothing arrived together. The liver and onions was tasteless and the ‘gravy’ was more jelly like. The veg was cold, the mash was bland and dry. The ‘salad’ with partners meal was fresh but about one fork full!! Would not visit again.

Tried this place for food for the first time on a Friday evening with my partner & child, this place came recommended but tbh it was far better than We expected the website doesn’t do it justice, we loved it!! The staff were very friendly & nothing was too much trouble for them, the atmosphere was very relaxed & the food was amazing freshly cooked. The best meal I’ve had for a long time without a doubt and would recommend the crab & and my partner who is fussy about his steak said it was lovely and cooked exactly how he asked for it ... red no blood ...good price too . My son loved the games room & animals in the courtyard we will definitely be visiting again soon

We have visited the bar/restaurant several times and I have to say we've experienced a different place on each visit. The food has varied from excellent to okay. The menu is varied, with something for everyone. The setting is pleasant and the staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit!

How can you say you are vegetarian friendly?! You are a vegetarian and animal nightmare. This place has a python, birds confined in a cage, fish in a small tank. And if that wasn't cruel enough, they have an exotic menu in the restaurant serving kangaroo, ostrich, buffalo, wild boar, and crocodile.

Tried here for an evening meal last night. Well, had high expectations but wasn't to be, and not impressed. Over priced to say the least. Drinks seemed fine, but food wise not impressed. Service wasn't great, never got asked was your meal okay, never got offered sauces. Never got asked when order was taken, how we liked are steak cooked. It was over cooked, tough to eat.It was supposed to be Buffalo steak, but was so thin it looked like frying steak! For a steak meal at £18.99 you expect better. Breaded mushrooms dry, chips home made bit greasy. Worst thing was my daughters main, she had the adult Spaghetti Bol. It is priced at £8.99. picture on menu shows a good portion, ample Bolognese and 2 slices garlic bread. When my daughters arrived, was a plate of pasta, that is cheap to buy, and a very very small amount of the sauce. To be honest looked about 2 tablespoons of Bolognese sauce in the middle of the spaghetti. You would get more Bolognese in a ready meal! And she only got one slice of garlic bread. Not worth £8.99 for sure. What is going on, why skimp on the portion. Staff member took are condiments from are table while we still eating, to give to another table, when there was ample condiments on the shelf, which is quite rude. We was going to have dessert, but no staff came to ask us, so got fed up waiting, so decided to leave and not bother. Also the main door is left open, no fly curtain or screen up. There was lot of flies in the eating area, while you trying to eat and fending off flies is not fun. Plus the flies will end up in the kitchen area. Came for a carvery while back, and could not fault it, was great. But this has put us off, and will not be returning. Flies, atmosphere, and over priced portions put us off. I wouldn't rate this to anyone.

My friends and I booked a table for 7.30pm we arrived and the table wasn’t ready so we thought we’d have a drink unfortunately there was a new barmaid who didn’t know a martini from a gin and tonic she should at least have had some training before dropping her in the deep end anyway our table was finally ready we ordered our food and then had to wait 90 minutes before it arrived I had pork belly that was so hard I couldn’t even cut it I think I would have needed a hammer and chisel not a knife and fork and my wife had spaghetti bolognese which wasn’t cooked properly my friends had lasagne and scampi which were cooked ok when we complained we got an apology and an offer of a free drink which I declined I was so disgusted all I wanted to do was go home needless to say this was my first and last visit to Seashells

A wide selection of food available at very competitive prices which does not detract from the quality of food served. Superb breakfast with plenty of choice for vegetarians

Amazing choice of menu. Freshly cooked with fresh ingredients. Great venue for the family. Went today for dad's 72nd birthday The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Great outside area with different birds and animals to look at and talk to

Was a lovely place a few mins to the sea or town. Very friendly staff excellent quality food at a very good price. Very clean. Shame the double room was not a bit bigger. Would stay there again.

We have eaten there a couple of times,the fish and chips very good the Sunday lunch alas not so good.Cold veg, the roast potatoes were awful,they looked as if they’d been cooked with a blow torch.Won’t be going there for Sunday lunch again.

Visited on a hot evening so all the doors were open I had fresh crab which was delicious .husband had a cheeseburger and fries which he said was average. The music was also too loud

Stayed one night could have stayed a week. Took our beautiful dog, stayed in room 8 everything we needed. Fabulos food, owners so attentive.food outstanding.catered for all. Will DEFINATely be there again

Came across this gem by accident when I wanted a last minute b&b; for my border collies Willow and Maisey and me. When I arrived I was greeted by the lovely Michelle who went out of her way to make sure we had the best room for pups and I. Nothing was too much trouble and we were treated like VIP’s for our entire stay. The b&b; is modern and clean and has its own bar and restaurant area. I have never had such a peaceful nights sleep and all the rooms have everything you need and if you needed more Michelle and Rob go out of their way to help you. On top of this the food was second to non with a fantastic menu offering all you need. It says a lot about Seashells that the locals use the restaurant and bar. I will definitely be staying again. If you want the best for a very reasonable price then please stay at the Seashells, you will not be disappointed. Floss

We stayed at seashells 24th till 27th December 2017 and we were made really welcome, we visited family who live local but all had Christmas dinner at seashells the meal was beautiful and could not ask for any more there was all could want and if not u just had to ask.

called in here on speck on sat 28/10/17 evening we ordered fillet steak at £20/head the steak was not as advertised & definatly not fillet steak al the rest of food on plate was from the freezer a most disappointing experience, not recommended for anyone.

Always come here when I visit my nana great service and friendly staff the curry is really good and the carvery is good too my nana is in a wheelchair and they are always good with accessible as she can only leave the house as far as this place so it really gives her Independence she needs. It's great you have a pool table now too as she can watch us play too! Love the animals out the back too!

We had a lovely weekend. Rob and Michelle have a very clean and comfy B&B. We had our dog with us and they put us in a good size room which was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was freshly cooked. delicious and a very large portion. Rob also brought our dog a breakfast which she devoured and loved. The food is always lovely and good size portions.It is a very pet friendly place. We would highly recommend this B&B and will certainly stay stay again. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. I come here often. I love it and cant keep away. The staff are always so welcoming and attend to all needs which is fantastic. We had a all day breakfast which arrived on a huge plate so scrummy. In the evening before we went to out room we had a couple of beverages then went out into the beer garden to say hello to all of seashells pets so wonderful and friendly. Recommend to everyone to give it a try. Then on the sunday we had a carvery and im not kidding its beautiful theres anything that you want they have everything. Loved it. Thanks to all at seashells.

Visited for first time today not sure what to expect, small dining area and not parking outside But the star of the show was the FOOD. Totally amazing well done have not had a Sunday lunch out that tasted so good for a long time Soup to start and main course £6.99 amazing value. Well done.

Was struggling to find somewhere that opened past 8 menu is great includes some rare meats, cooked to perfection. Great hosts. seashells has recently won an impressive award too. Definitely worth a visit

been coming to seashells with my family ever since they first opened.only just around the corner from us and so convenient.AMAZING food-you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, our personal favourites are the carvery and the lovely steaks.my brother is a vegetarian and the choices are very wide and varied, can cater for every need!brilliant value for money and rob, michelle, kelly and the chefs are all absolutely lovely, prepared to do anything they can to help you.will always be our local and we thoroughly enjoy our visits there, whether it be for birthday's, anniversaries, christmas, new year-the best place to go for miles around Sutton on sea is without a doubt seashells ☺️

My daughter stayed a couple of nights when she came to visit us. It was a lovely clean room. Well equiped good tea making tray. Bed comfy. Breakfast excellent. They allowed me to sit with my daughter in her room. Very helpful and caring staff and owners. Very well positioned for sea front and amenities.

Had read the excellent reviews on trip advisor so decided to give this so called "Little Gem" a try for lunch with a friend. The waitress was very welcoming and friendly but unfortunately this is the only positive comment I can make. My friend and I both ordered a rump steak one to be cooked medium rare and the other medium. When the food arrived I can truthfully say that I have never seen a rump steak so thin it looked and tasted like a cheap frying steak. It would have been an impossibility to cook this as requested as it was far too thin. After trying to battle our way through these overcooked tasteless steaks (not a pleasant experience) the steaks were wrapped up in serviettes and given to the dogs when we got home which is all they were fit for. The price charged for these steaks is not cheap and comparable to other eating places in the area but the difference is with other venues you actually get a rump steak that looks and tastes as it should not some cheap thin tasteless cut of meat. The salad also had a strange taste and didn't seem to fresh. Then to add to this over priced lunch on checking the bill at home realised we had been charged for mayonnaise????????????? I have never in all the years of eating out all over the country been charged for mayonnaise, unless they sell it in sachets and you know of this policy when you order. So in conclusion this was my first and last visit to this restaurant I do not mind paying for well cooked good quality food but I hate to be ripped off and that is exactly how I feel about this lunch. I know it is not the holiday season when this establishment is probably very busy but if you are going to open out of season the quality of food should be the same all year and apply to everything on the menu not just carvery and pies which people tell me are good. I have now found another review on here referring to thinness of the steaks and other meat perhaps the owners should take this on board and take a long hard look at what they are serving to the people who keep their business going.

Found this b & b but was just looking for a Sunday carvery really, having a group of 8 people we went here for our Sunday lunch, it looked a little dated from the outside but once we went in it was lovely. Greeted at the bar by a lovely young lady we were told our table that had been reserved earlier was ready. The meal started with a free bowl of soup with crusty bread then the carvery was good as you helped yourself to the veg it was all cooked from fresh and a choice of either nice gravy from meat juices or Bisto !! so really good we really enjoyed it and will most definatley book again !! Many thanks Seashell !! Will also try the meals in the week too as the menu looks very good and prices are good to, so next time you go through Sutton- on - sea and you see the sign for this place give it a go.

went back to try an evening meal had a carvery on last visit, called in over the christmas period. once again both meals cooked to perfection, i had chicken tika better than any of the indian restaurants in mablethorpe , wife went for pork chop cooked perfect, nice chips too.

This compact Bar and restaurant is ideal for Small Parties and events. The food is cooked from scratch while you wait so you can easily be an hour waiting for your Meal. Wednesday is Pie night, when you can make your own pie from about 20 different fillings and in any combination you wish.

Lovely family atmosphere and you are made to feel welcome.We have stayed here on several occasions as a couple and with our grandchildren, every visit has been enjoyable. Try it for yourselves

when I first stopped in Seashells in Sutton on sea I was impressed with how I was welcomed into the guest house it has comfortable rooms, free Wi-Fi and the food is outstanding from the well prepared menu that they have on offer also that there is a different selection each day from a daily menu which is appetising. Whilst staying in the residence I have met new friends and found a few places to go and evening brought my family here along with and 19 gusts which were made to feel welcome and the service is super from the bar and residential staff.

Trying to have meals in different places since moving here to Sutton in December. Had seen flyers for Seashells and they have a variety of changing menus for each evening. Would like to try the buffet breakfast sometime. Our meal today included soup (2 choices) and bread, followed by the carvery, 5 choices of meat, plenty if variety of vegetables - all well cooked, yorkie plus stuffing, choice of gravies and lots of condiments. Total with 2 drinks -my husband really enjoyed the COLD John Smiths pint he had - was £18.21.

The quality of the food served is excellent, the choice on the menu is massive. but the waiting time is far to long, However it does say on the menu that meals can take up to 60 mins. we will not let this put us off but make sure we order as soon as we arrive.

Buffet breakfast was lovely cooked to perfection loads of choice.Drinks included eggs how you want them!

We booked here in advance and on arrival, they had not got the tables ready, so we ended up having to stand around for ages because people were already sitting eating, the young girl on the bar tried to move some tables, but the owner then appeared and was very rude, saying why was she doing this as people were eating as if it was us that was the problem, we had no apology for the mix up and were then seated in the small area on the right side of door, more like a lobby there were 12 of us so was quite a push and we had to help move tables. The food was lovely, but took far too long to come we knew it was freshly cooked but nearly 1/12 hours to get all food and then the starters arrived at same time as main for those that had ordered which was very odd. All in all our evening out was ruined and this has put us off going back again.

We called in for a Sunday evening meal. Both being vegetarian we didn't expect much and there was only two choices but they were both very good and topped up with a vast variety of vegetables. The owners were very welcoming and we were particularly impressed with their honesty regarding the soups having a meat stock. We will certainly call again and may even stay there as they have several very nice en-suite rooms.

Good food friendly experience recently visited we would recommend a visit lots of choices and child friendly

Food was expensive and poor quality, steak was not sirloin , pork loin, was a thin fatty chop, to add insult to injury, they charge 50p for condiments two teaspoons of mayo and two teaspoons of mustard £2.00 ITS A JOKE

We ate at the seashells for my Fathers Birthday, thinking it would be a change. IT SURE WAS. My FAthers steak Sir Loin main claim to fame, it was tougher than Sir Lancelot, my pork loin or fatty chop was a joke, the final insult we were CHARGED 50p for condiments £2 for 2 teaspoons of mustard and Mayo. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

booked into to this restaurant has a large family few days in advance disappointed we had to put the tables to sit together ourselves and when meals arrived the only thing that was nice was the homemade chips the chicked and pork was dry and overcooked the steak was grisly and undercooked the service wasent very good has took too long for meals to come out so we could all eat together cannot cope for large parties a little overpriced for food and to stay the night so wont be eating or staying here again which is a shame has it is in a nice location

6 of us visited with no reservation and was greeted and seated by the friendly host immediately. Very nicely decorated restaurant with lovely outdoor seating areas, the koi carp and birds are a bonus to admire. Carvery came with a free Soup and Roll starter and all for the price of £6.95. We found the food piping hot, freshly cooked, well presented with a great choice of Meat and Fresh Vegetable, the Yorkshire puddings did not appear frozen to us and everyone of our party had nothing but praise for the food. We will defintly be returning and have recommended this place to several of out friends!!

We were pondering where to eat and spotted a flyer and we were pleasantly surprised by the Staff, the location and the food. We will be coming back and have already suggested it to friends. On the Hottest day of the year, we found a really cool place to eat. Thinking of booking a room next time. Enjoy the Fish pool and the Birds. Say Hello to Jasper or Merlin.

All the aspects of staying at Seashells were excellent.As a disabled, electric wheelchair user, I can honestly say that nothing was too much trouble to make your stay as comfortable as possible

I love pie so when they started doing Pie Night Wednesdays, You choose from a large selection of fillings and its made there and then, yes you do have to wait but good food is worth waiting for. I had steak potato onion mushroom and my husband had sausage mushroom black pudding kidney delicious. If you ring up order the pie you want then turn up 45 minutes later its ready to go on the table.

Very friendly family run B&BWarm and clean room. Massive full English. worth the visit.Evening meals available to.

A friendly reception-ideal for couples, families etc. Food was plentiful and fresh, large portions were given, value for money.Outside, are aviaries with various birds and parrots inside, as well as, a waist level fishpond with lots of large fish inside it. Most enjoyable lunch. My sister, niece and I were very talkative and loud at times -but no comment was made- thank goodness.

After reading good reviews, we decided to go for the Sunday lunch carvery. It was busy but not overly full. We each had different meats. I had beef the others had pork and chicken. The beef looked beautiful and I filled up with veg and potatoes, however the whole meal was just bland and tasteless and the meat was obviously a cheap cut. It was chewy and burnt in places. Plus the veg and potatoes were not hot just cool, and possibly even frozen yorkshire puds. Apparently the chicken was still cooking but a member of our party was offered meat from the outside that was cooked!!!!!! Couldn't believe our ears. The meal was less than average and we will definitely not go again. The only upside was the outside area with a Koi carp pool,and caged finches and parrots.
