Seafood & Grill in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

So visited here on 24th of June, the couple sat next to us left after 20 mins if waiting to be served a drink or order taken. Fools that we were as we were hungry waited 1 hour for drink and food order to be taken. After another half an hour the waitress advised the chef had cooked the wrong steak and would we have what he had cooked? By this time we were starving so we we we said OK. The steak was so tough it couldn't be eaten. We did say to the waiter who wasn't interested. I did go in today to give them the chance to sort our complaint but haven't heard back. So as we were not the only ones compl I can only say avoid.

Average food, nice place on the ground floor less on the first floor. Service a bit complicated by the stairs. We found the fish a bit greasy and menu expensive!

I think this is actually called "by the sea" and it is perfect local fish in casual surroundings. there are 2 branches around the corner from each other. we went to the newer one in tregenna hill and it was excellent. the crab au gratin was delicious and very crabby! The grilled local hake was excellent as was the local bream. Nice staff.

We were staying in St Ives and visited this restaurant twice; Whilst the first was lucking atmosphere (we were upstairs on our own) the second visit was really good; I had the Hake and my wife had the Sea Bream - both were excellent; They seemed a little short staffed, but the guy serving us managed to look after everybody very well. five * for customer service;
