Wonderful lunch. Friendly staff. Crab Nachos, Patatas Barvas, Mackerel fillets with sumac hit the spot. Alfresco dinning too, albeit a little to hot to sit in the midday sunshine.

We visited here with our family (4 adults, 5 children) on Tuesday last week. The food was good, the only reason I’ve rated it three was because the salt and paper squid was tasteless, however, we were happy with everything else. The reason I’ve rated our overall experience a 1 star is due to the service. We had one lady in particular (blonde hair), who was miserable and really rude to my Uncle. We had five kids with us, we just kept getting funny looks off this waitress (not sure of her name), huffing when we asked any questions or requested anything from her. I requested the bill, the waitress just brought the card machine over. When I asked for the receipt/bill she said she ‘doesn’t have one’. When I told her that I needed it, she said she can’t get one. Anyway, we ended up paying it (£175). I was happy about this as the kitchen accidentally brought out two of our plates twice so I was concerned this had been added to our bill. As soon as we paid, the waitress turned round to my Uncle on the table opposite and told him to keep his son quiet (he’s two years old). Why wait until we’ve paid to be rude to us?! He said, he’s literally a child, they can be loud, especially when the overall atmosphere is loud which it was. She walked off, we got our things together, to which my Uncle then went over to the bar to ask for a manager as he was really annoyed at her comment. He explained what she’d said to him and the other staff were embarrassed by her comments. Unfortunately the manager wasn’t there.. the waitress then came in and began to say that we should have kept him quiet because there’s other people in the restaurant. Never in my 9 years of being a parent, have I ever been told to keep my child quiet!! So rude and unprofessional. She had a terrible attitude and completely ruined our experience. She was very argumentative as well. The other staff came out after us and apologised because they were embarrassed by her comments and behaviour and said they would be reporting it to their manager the following day. I hope they did report her to the manager and she is dealt with. Not someone who should be working in a restaurant if you can’t be nice to people or treat their children respectfully. Due to this we definitely wouldn’t return and would advise anyone with young children not to visit either, unless you want to be made to feel bad and uncomfortable for having a child, who is simply being a child!

Great place to have something small but tasty. Will be back for sure.

We enjoyed the food! It is really seafood bar, not overloaded with pasta or chips, where you can eat a range of fish, mussels and oysters itself. The atmosphere and staff are very friendly! Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious. We had a variety of seafood dishes and the flavours were incredible. The service super friendly and fast. I cannot recommend enough and will definitely be back. Thank you for this great lunch

Wow what a place this is, we came to St Ives for a long weekend and one of the days we had an early morning walk and found this cafe and I'm glad we did it was amazing the staff was just so friendly and made us feel welcome. Next time we're down we will be returning and 100% recommend. P.s the home made breads are just delicious.

Excellent little seafood tapas bar, very good portion sizes - my wife and I shared 5 dishes between us and it was more than enough - and cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend.

Wow, the food here is AMAZING! All of the food was well cooked and seasoned to perfection - the fish melts in your mouth! Good portion sizes too (I always worry with tapas style that the portions will be too small, but that wasn't the case here). Was well needed after a morning kayaking. Dimly-lit which was appreciated with how bright it was outside! Prompt service and friendly staff. 10 out of 10 and hope to visit again next time we're in St Ives!

Very nice discovery this July 25, 2024. By chance, we sit on the terrace. The welcome was very friendly. Mackerel fillets & house salad for me, sole & fries for my man. We really weren't expecting so many flavors! It was perfect. And at very attractive prices! Thank you very much for this moment and congratulations to your teams in the dining room & in the kitchen. We highly recommend it. Well done!

What a delicious dinner it was! This restaurant came as a recommendation from the hotel I was staying at when I asked where to find delicious seafood. My waitress, Ella, gave me great recommendations. She took the time as well to have a quick chat, checking up on me and making sure I was well taken care of. NOW the food, wow, just the muscles on their own deserve a praise but all the dishes I had, the scallop, mackerel, lemon sole, squid, even the bread were all packed with subtle and well paired flavours. Cooked to perfection, the fish simply melted in your mouth. And the deserts as well, not pictures because I could resist digging in were amazing, and I highly recommend the blackberry parfait and the buttermilk panacotta. Will be recommending this little gem to anyone visiting St Ives.

Sat on the harbour side for coffee. Lovely sunny day so that always helps! Staff were very attentive and welcoming. Didn't eat as don't like seafood, but it looked good. Coffee was great and the view even better.

She probably didn't feel like working - it was 5 o'clock and she couldn't give us a table unless we SAFELY wanted something to eat - really? It's a bar, not a restaurant and 2/3 of the tables were free.

A long weekend in stunning St Ives !! We went to this place a couple of years ago when it first opened and were mightily disappointed. We decided to give it another chance. And....it was excellent. It's not that big and we expected difficulty booking for that same day but were pleasantly surprised! The small plates were delicious, the music cool and the bottle of red was tasty. Our waitress was so friendly and her knowledge of the menu was very helpful. Situated overlooking harbour beach with the tide in , our meal and experience was perfect....

Very nice place, pleasant staff. The food looked really nice and my partner enjoyed his meal, but unfortunately it was a little to spicy for me which was a shame, so I only ended up eating a bowl of fries. This was a plus for my partner as he had my prawns.

We had a really lovely meal at Cintra, and felt so well taken care of! All the dishes were delicious and the staff were so friendly and attentive. A perfect place to treat yourself and watch the world go by over the harbour.

Excellent food and views across the harbour. Salt and pepper squid being the highlight. Despite being tapas dishes they are on the larger side so would recommend two each.

I came for breakfast and has the cintra breakfast. It was so tasty! Especially the homemade brown sauce which added so much. The ingredients were so tasty and cooked perfectly. I thought it was a bargain too! Left delighted. Yum

Salt and pepper Squid Yuzu aioli Tandoori Monkfish Tamarind, raita, flatbread Korean fried chicken Chilli sesame glaze I eat alot of chicken however - I confidently declare - this is the best chicken I've had. This venue - Cintra - is fantastic. My waitress was superb, the bearded bar guy brilliant and the chef (Liam) a champion! Add this to a warm summer evening beside the harbour - what more could you wish for?

Waited ages for our starters, roughly around 35 mins When we finally got them they were cold, we returned then we waited another 10 mins before asking and the waitress response is they will come after being warmed up, but then does it take 10mins for chips to come out? We still didn't get our chips and finished our drinks, we asked the bill as this was too long, they had the audacity to put this on our bill even though we never received it!

For a “Tapas” restaurant, the food wasn’t terrible, but given we were near the sea, the prices were way too high. Not even in London have I ever paid the higher price they charge for a single oyster as I have here. Sadly, it's a "nibbles bar/restaurant" serving tapas. Not really a place to have dinner; for the sum we paid, we could have chosen better dining establishments nearby. A really disappointing encounter!

Popped to St Ives for my wife's birthday, grabbed a seat outside Cintra and one of the fantastic team came up and got us started with some lovely cocktails (Mermaid) then took our food order, we went a bit crazy as we wanted to try so much and we were right to do so, some fantastic food mixed with amazing friendly staff, constantly clearing plates, offering refills and even grabbing my dog a bowl of water to keep her going in the sun - great visit, can't recommend enough.

we had a coffee in the morning, had a look at the menu & decided to go back for a meal late afternoon, the pigs cheeks were superb as was the mackerel & house salad, lovely atmosphere, service was great, a big thank you to Matt, he was so friendly, would definitely recommend this place

Great place to stop for food. Although it is 'tapas' style the portions are plenty big enough (roast dinner is huge) and very tasty. Well worth a visit

Food here was excellent, a creative range of seafood tapas that were presented well. Friendly, accommodating and efficient staff. We had 3 tapas each, drinks and shared a pudding. Came to £45 per head. Without drinks and a slightly lighter meal you could get away with £30 per head

Sat outside and ordered some drinks and food.. Has the crab nachos and squid. We had to point out to the staff that when the crab nachos came out there was hardly any crab in it. They quickly took dish away and it returned with lots more crab.. Food was fresh and tasty. We always pop there when in st ives

Went in hungry and left hungry. For what you get it's way too expensive, the dishes are really small. For example the 'ray wing' isn't a ray wing, it's 1/10th of a ray wing. Some of the food did taste good (mussels were nice) but the highlight of the meal was the complimentary starter. You need to spend a good £30-40 to get a somewhat filling meal here IMO and for the quality that's really not worth it.

Manager served us. Tried to steer us onto small plates. Looked at the price of small plates and thought no, that will be £30 each without anything else. Had crispy calamari to share. Over dressed with chopped chillies which completely overwhelmed the squid. Had seafood soup. Lovely soup but only about a third of a bowl. Lovely mussels and prawns in it. We ate somewhere else 2 nights ago and couldn’t finish the food. Cost £50. Ate at Cintra with about a third of the food we had 2 nights ago. £47. For 1 squid and 2 soups and a Coke. Other restaurants in St Ives were full tonight. We were 1 of 2 customers at Cintra. That tells a story on its own. Feeling underwhelmed and ripped off.

I’ve been here with my friend, and we both really enjoyed it! Firstly, staff were very nice and friendly. Secondly, thing I liked was a complement from chef! I don’t think I saw it anywhere else down Cornwall! Bravo 👏 and personally for me it was comfortable that service charge has been included in our bill. Thank you 🙏

Food was OK but came out at different times and the dishes we picked we wanted to eat together. A couple got cold way to quick for tapas style. We had cocktails which were lovely before meal. Once food came we would've liked wine with this but were never asked if we wanted anything else or anything else to drink. It was very quiet and although staff polite when they did talk they were not attentive. We would've had wine and probably stayed for more drinks after but were disappointed. On a personal opinion the music was terrible and to load. A real shame

Food and cocktails were amazing! We stopped on our journey back home to London and we ate sad that there isn’t one closer to home. Will have to come back again!

Absolutely unbelievable food and service. Staff were wonderful and kind and the food was delicious. For 2 people we got the homemade bread, dauphinois potatoes and 3 small plates and we were super full! The mussels were the show stopper but everything was great.

My god what a treat! Absolutely everything we had was amazing! Small plates so do take 3-4 to feel full but you do want to try as many options as possible to enjoy the vast choices on the menu. Also good wine and warm water in the taps in the toilet ☺️ they have also changed the menu recently so you can have ray and monkfish and turbot! So plenty of options!!! Highly recommended!!!!

The restaurant is conveniently located in central St Ives. We called in for lunch. It was quite busy despite being late in the season - a good sign suggesting returning customers. Being built on a slope, the steps may make access a problem for some....

I'm always a bit wary of the 'small plates' concept, but this place does it well! We shared 3 small plates and a side between two people and that was plenty. Great cocktails and a lovely outdoor space with view on the harbor.

We went to the Seafood Cafe on Saturday night and I will say the food was really good, in fact excellent, prices average, and the service and staff were absolutely brilliant. We had the fish pie, and my wife and daughter had the lemon sole....

We just stopped here on a whim on a sunny early evening when walking past and admiring it. So pleased we did!!! The service from minute one was impeccable, our server was lovely, seemingly had plenty of time to spend with us taking us though the menu and making recommendations on food as well as drinks / cocktails. We chose several “small plates” and it was explained that they would arrive as and when ready. Well we had hardly looked around and they were arriving! And boy were they good! We had a range of seafood and meat items and all equally delicious. The atmosphere sitting on the cobbled street alongside the harbour with people and dogs strolling by was idyllic, and the buzz was perfect. Only wish we lived closer than 4 hours away as this could become a regular haunt!

Popped in here for lunch. The squid was delicious and the crab bruschetta was lovely. The service was a little mixed depending upon which server came to the table. The one young girl was quite indifferent and clearly found her job a chore.
