Sea of Spice in Fareham

Certainly have upped their game. Service was excellent so was the food. We were a group and everyone had different and all enjoyed it. Plenty meat in the dishes. Lovely flavours. Restaurant was very clean so we're the facilities. Added bonus is you can bring your own alcohol. Definitely going again. Prices are very reasonable as well

The food was fantastic again. Thankyou. They listened when I noted that we didn’t want coconut on the rice which did appear when ordered a few times for some reason. But a really nice meal tonight 👍👍👍👍

Used to be 4 free popadoms and onion chutney with £20 orders (which was hard for 2) apparently now £25 orders! Money grabbing basts..been going there for ages..no regard for loyalty!

We have been eating in and ordering takeaways from this restaurant for years but we will not be doing so again. The website despite three attempts on different devices would not take our online order so I had to ring when the order arrived the tandoori mixed starter I had ordered was in correct a mixed starter was delivered when I rang up to query this I was told I had ordered a mixed starter which I hadn't so instead of seek kebab,chicken and lamb tikka we had an onion bhaji veg and chicken pakora and veg samosa all of which were overcooked and frankly I could have got better in any supermarket it was inedible and we threw it away. Onion bhajis were also overcooked and poor quality. What was worse was we thought we'd try something different and ordered a lamb sylhet jelsha which was described as a medium curry with a thick sauce topped with tomatoes and peppers when it arrived it had pieces of egg in it which were not mentioned on the website a very serious potential allergy issue and we both don't like egg in curry so one of our main meals was inedible it was also very bland and tasteless. Nan bread had also been overcooked and the jalfrezi was barely a medium curry overall a very disappointing meal and we won't after many years of loyal customer service be ok ordering or visiting again quite frankly we would have had a better meal if we had bought a supermarket curry? Order from Highlands toad or go to the Indian cottage if you want a good meal and decent customer service

Just wanted a cheap and cheerful curry before going home! Service was perfect! Food was OK - not brilliant, paratha was dry and other bits were OK, but nan was lovely and curry fine.Good value but a place to enjoy a date rather than impress a date.

Tried Sea of spice for a change from my regular restaurant. I was so pleased that I did. Ordered online and the food was delivered on time and piping hot. We had three dishes, all of which were very tasty. Will definitely order from here again.

I have ordered several times from Sea of Spice and eaten in the restaurant once. The food is always fabulous. The restaurant is take your own alcohol too. The restaurant decor is not the greatest and could do with a revamp but you can't beat the food.

Excellent take away service. Used this 10 to 15 times for a take away. Moved away from just eat and ordered directly. Delivery times have been adhered too. Meals have smashing ( tonight’s was extremely good) THANKYOU.

What a smashing meal we had this evening, good delivery and the food was brilliant . We ordered 2 starters plus 2 mains without rice and trimmings as were both on a diet. It was a treat today but what a tasty treat it was. Thank you.

Ordered through just eat. Almost £50 worth of food that went in the bin. Cold and tasted awful. The masala was totally the wrong colour and taste and the korma wasn’t much better. Chips undercooked and cold only thing edible was poppadoms. Will not order from there again totally disappointed for the cost of throwing food in the bin

We ordered online on the restaurant website. Its not very clear on the website if the order has gone through or not so, in the end I had to ring and check not the first time but in this case apparently it hadn't gone through so I ordered over the phone. Seriously guys the person that's taking the order should really know what's on the menu it was painful and I had to go through my order three times!!! He read it back to me so why, please tell me why, when I said three times that I wanted lamb samosas did I get chicken??? Again this is not the first time this has happened, if its so hard to tell them apart then maybe you should store them in different places in the kitchen!! I ordered Chicken Aloo Paneer which is normally delicious but this time was not creamy as usual instead it was thick and gloopy and tasted of uncooked flour, it was totally inedible and I threw it away. My husbands Jalfrezi was delicious as always, he was happy but I was left disappointed and hungry. I think I'll be looking for a different and hopefully much better restaurant for any future Indian meals. So disappointed!!!

Once again the food is over an hour late, one dish complete wrong, all cold! What do they say fool me once….another really disappointing meal, won’t be fooled again Really really poor! Never again!

Placed an order for delivery on NYE 2020 though the YO-YO App has advertised on there website. When the order was placed it gave us a delivery time of 19.15. It got to 20.30 and the delivery hadn’t turned up, we tried to call them over 100 times but couldn’t get though, it got to 21.30 and I decided to go there to see where my delivery was? When I arrived they said that my order was still in the kitchen and that they had stopped taking orders at 19.30! There was no time frame of when my order would be ready if I waited I asked for a refund, they said I had to get this though the YO-YO website, I said this is unacceptable, I eventually got my refund in cash. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

2 takeaways delivered over Christmas 2020. Still great on all 4 important needs: - top quality food - full portion sizes with plenty of meat (not just lots of sauce like some others) - good prices - good service Totally recommend

Just as places opened again in December we visited Sea of Spice as it is very local. We did book but it was not needed. Took our own wine from the supermarket near by. There is a carpark a short walk away which is free after 6 as we're not lucky to get street parked We had a feast! There was a special deal for the day of the week so great value. Food was delicious. Tasty. Had my favourite chilli and garlic chicken.

Unbelievably poor. Tasteless, chewy, and salty! Beyond belief, inedible!!. Used to get my curries from here 5 years ago, thought I would give them a try tonight but won’t be doing so again. The worst curries ever had, nan breads where poor also.

I ordered for the reason when I came out of Aldi the smell was amazing, ive had a lot better but a lot worse

We had the chicken dansak and the lamb shatkora, and both were the best Indian meals we've had! So flavoursome and cooked to perfection! Thanks Sea of Spice...

New Year's Eve celebration sit down meal for four of us. A warm welcome from staff and excellent food, as always.

On a visit to Fareham visiting family . Ordered take away as husband feeling under the weather to go out. The food arrived well early and hot . The dishes were delicious and would definately have from here again 😁

12 of us went to Sea of Spice last night for an impromptu night out, impromptu only because I forgot to book until 2 hours before.I guessed it would be empty but after we arrived there was only one table left. Being Wednesday it was their meal for £14 night, so perhaps no surprise.Given the my negative views regarding weekends I wondered if food would be a problem, it wasn't.My dishes or Prawn Puri, Lamb Tikka Naga, chapattis and naan were really tasty, full of flavour, delicately spiced and piping hot. Importantly all our food arrived within minutes of each other. All the others seemed to demolish their food pretty quickly too.Would definitely go here again.

Ordered a take away & was told 10 minutes for Collection,very quick,went to pay & was told 10% discount with cash or pay more on card,I told them this was wrong but they were not interested,got home & it got worse,the food was luke warm & chicken wasn't cooked right,ended up throwing it away,will not be returning ever,one more thing I've been going for at least 10 years & I'm very disappointed.

We enjoyed a lovely meal in this unlicensed restaurant. The staff were very attentive, food portions were just right, in fact I couldn't finish my delicious chilli cheese naan! Perfect end to the evening!

We ate at this restaurant for the first time and were very impressed by the friendliness of the staff. The service was good, portions were large and the meal very tasty. With 'bring your own wine', this makes a reasonably priced meal out

We have been going there for over 20 years, however won't be going there again. The food was not as good as it used to be and the atmosphere has also changed for the worse. It is still good value, however for us this is outweighed by the negatives and that was our last visit.

We ordered food for our guest but they left home before the food got delivered. Very upset from the delivery service.

Brilliant food, very happy and will be ordering again in future, delivery turned up early as JustEat stated 45min-1hr delivery & turned up in 25 mins. Delivery driver was great too 👍👍

Although the delivery came early the food was luke warm. The lamb was extremely chewy and in scraps.

I have been past this place many, many times over the years. Popped in with the wife and ordered Chicken Parthia, Rogan and mixed grill. Food was excellent just right heat and not greasy. Will be using these guys again!

I’ve just had my food delivered and I’m afraid to say that the main course and the starter was cold. it was like they have taken it out the fridge and forgot to put it in the microwave

First time visit and very impressed

After placing an order at 5:30 requesting a delivery time of 7:30 you'd think thats plenty of notice. To be told they can't deliver until 8:00 and then turn up at 8:30 is abysmal. To add to that the food was not of the normal excellent standard that we have had in the past form S.O.S, We always order Pathia and this time taste and flavour was awful and did not resemble any pathia we have had from them in the past. Service was not great with a couple of dishes 1/2 in their tubs, 1/2 in the delivery bag, no explanation to the tardiness. The whole experience was not up to their normal standard and I will probably order from another restaurant next time.

The madras wasn't as good today as it was last time... many tablespoons of oil sitting on the top, too much garlic, not enough spice. The pilau, naan and Bombay potato were really good though thanks

No salad or raita with the mixed starter (has this stopped coming out with the order?). Tarka Dhall is watery and tasteless. Huge fans of Sea of Spice so this is very disappointing.

The madras was gorgeous and the pilau rice! The paratha was overdone which was a shame, but we ate everything else all up and would go back thanks.

Absolutely awful. I only ordered tikka masala with pilau rice with some bhajis and the curry and rice turned up cold and the bhajis were burnt. Never again.

This is the first time I have used Just eat and first time using Sea Of Spice. The food was really good. It arrived early and was very hot and delicious. Will happily do this again.

The naan bread and pilau rice are good, the delivery was fast and delivery driver polite, the madras wasn't the best, wasn't the worst... but too garlicky for us.

Love you guys for the Indian takeaways but the English meals if scamp, mushrooms onion rings and chips were a shocker. Poorly packaged and all mushy chicken was ok but overall very disappointing.

We ordered a lamb tikka korma. The meat was impossible to stab with a fork, let alone cut, and couldn't be chewed. We complained to SoS and they offered to send another dish out. When we demurred as we had eaten, they agreed to give us a free meal equivalent with our next order.

I used to live in fareham years ago and always used to order from here, never had a bad one. Finally moved back into there delivery range and glad it's not changed. Still amazing food and cooked fresh. Yum yum!

Cold on arrival - had to re heat. Food was ok, arrived only slightly late.

Initially quoted an hour and a half delivery, should have cancelled then but went with it. Then had to chase the order when it was 15 minutes late. Still took another half hour. Food was ok once we had stuck it in the microwave. Won't use the app again

Food arrived in good time. The order was correct, everything piping hot and well packaged. Quality was high apart from lamb which whilst tasty, was a tad chewy on occasion. However, i will definitely use them again. Highly recommended.

This is my favourite eat in and takeaway for miles around. The food is so tasty especially when it is cooked by Charlie. You will never get a bad meal. The restaurant is unlicensed but you can take your own alcohol which makes for a very reasonable night out.

Only real reason for a three was because our food was very hot for the dishes we ordered, if you like that you’ll love this place.

Food was cold have used this place alot but this is the last time. Shame food is usually very good.

My order arrived with an item missing. The curry sauce was delicious, but the lamb I had ordered was inedible. Charged for delivery, despite advertising free delivery to my postcode.

Best Indian around. They live up to the name. Great spices and full of flavour. A proper taste of India.

Food was prompt but curry was very spicy(tikka biryani) and onion bhajis were overcooked so a bit dry.
