Popped in for a cuppa and found a welcoming, clean spot to sit down and have a leisurely break. Wonderful scones and clean as can be.

We had lunch here . I had a toastie , whilst my kids had the sweet potato and bean chilli hot wrap and a sausage bap , there’s an extensive menu of coffees plus different milks and vegan / healthy choices , plus ploughman’s lunches , salad bowls etc so everyone should be happy . The staff are nice and the price reasonable . Would recommend .

walking through St. Ives on a sunny May sunday morning we were despairing at all the cafes and coffee shops that couldn’t be arsed to open, despite all the potential customers filing the streets. Rounding a corner we discovered Sea Of Coffee - a host of angels sang hallelujah and we were drawn to the cosy friendly interior. delicious home made cakes and pastries, lots of choice of breakfasts from healthy to sinful. dogs were made to feel welcome and the staff were very friendly and welcoming . highly recommended 😍😍😍😍😍😍 - ooh - great coffee too!

I was in St Ives and found myself in need of a coffee, a piece of cake and a sit down. Sea of Coffee looked nice so I picked it. The coffee was very good, the piece of cake excellent...and it was a comfortable place to sit down. Also they seemed to be playing my CD collection at the time (while I was there we had Big Yellow Taxi, Go Your Own Way, and Baker Street), though I'm assured they do change the music at intervals so you may not get classics from the 70s. The service was great too I would absolutely recommend it

Best coffee in st Ives. Visit every year and always take a visit in the morning to Sea of Coffee as serves the best coffee in my opinion. Staff always cheerful and friendly. Dogs welcome.

Had a lovely early morning coffee and pastry, whilst on a walk around this area. Fabulous warm welcome, great coffee and lovely atmosphere.

Nice coffee and delicious scones with plenty of cream and Jam. Staff were pleasant and we had a very relaxed coffee and cake here 2 days running.

Popped in for hot chocolate and cake. Great variety of dairy alternatives. Yummy cake. Really friendly service. Definitely recommend

Went in out of the rain for a coffee and something to eat. The place was empty and I soon understood why. I ordered two coffees a sausage bap and a bacon bap. The young girl struggled to make eye contact mumbled so this and we sat down. Both coffees were tasteless dish water, both the sausage and the bacon were excessively under cooked. Left never to return.

Went in here yesterday for the first time & will definitely be returning 🤩 Coffee was lovely & my husband had a protein latte ( never had one before) very nice would have again. Dog friendly cafe Staff very welcoming

The iced coffee and cake sampler was really good, a nice novel menu item. Nice Cornish crab sandwich. The wraps are sizeable and tasty. Good place to visit and have a nice snack/small meal, cakes and a big selection of drinks. Kids loved the milkshakes and smoothies. Very friendly service too. This place takes my number one spot in St Ives for coffee & cake.

Delicious lunch, brilliant service, and I love the upstairs relaxing area to eat and chill. Fajita wrap was gorgeous and that Bailey's torte is to die for. Followed by a lovely cup pot of Breakfast tea. Clean toilet.

Visited at the end of October as a party of 10 for breakfast and they were able to accommodate us without booking. The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive. Would definitely return when in St Ives again.

Great stop for Sandwich and soup; crab mayo on brown , sweet potato soup, good coffee and cake. Quick service and friendly staff. What's not to love? Well done. Keep up the good work.

Lovely place to stop for a coffee and cake. The coffee was excellent, the tray-bakes delicious and the service was faultless and friendly. Worth going upstairs for a bit more space and, for St. Ives, calm. Spotlessly clean toilets with baby changing facilities in both. Thoroughly recommended.

Staying in St Ives for the arts festival so having a walk about. Certainly needed a coffee so came upon this cafe. The staff are really friendly and lovely. The coffee was good and if I hadn't had such a large breakfast at the hotel I would certainly have had a piece of the cakes on display.All is not lost as I live in Cornwall and I shall certainly return. Looks like a lot of locals come in which is good to see.

Wonderful find ! Super friendly staff and super accommodating for vegan options. Deffo worth a visit when your next in town. Ps their vegan cakes are to die for x

Came here after visiting Pengellys pasty’s next door - I wanted my sister in law from Dublin to try a Cornish pasty. We ordered drinks and sandwiches so did spend a good amount here and I was really surprised and upset by the surly and rude woman who came with our order who in a raised voice ordered us to put our pasty’s away! She came back many times to make sure we were not misbehaving with our pasty’s too! Apparently they don’t like the smell in their super busy cafe (which was far less than full ) My sister in law had a scone which was dry hard and old and when she asked for jam they wanted 75p !! So if you order scone expect it dry !! Tho that said the surly lady did refund this tho again not in a nice or friendly way. My partner and I came last year and had coffee with our pasty no issues and in fact one of the staff was eating one too! I’m disappointed that the bad side of poor customer relations was shown to people from abroad and will never use this place again.

.. if we weren't eating progressively through our day at St Ives we would have sampled more than the excellent tea and coffee. It was such a little oasis with appetising cakes and sandwiches on display. We really appreciated the lovely restrooms.

Popped in here for brunch and will definitely be returning. We had bacon bap, toasted tea cake, cheese & tomato roll, mozzarella/tomato/pesto roll. All were really yummy. Gluten free roll was provided and oat milk. Staff were lovely. Tables were very clean, as were the toilets. If you’re hungry I can definitely recommend.

Quite good tea and certainly affordable! But being told I couldn’t eat the food I’d brought in myself, without even hinting that I would eat it anyway, was definitely mean and gratuitous. The upshot of this ungenerous policy is that I definitely won’t be returning. Boomerang!

Visited two days in a row and the staff remembered my partner and two boys and even asked what our plans were for the day. coffee was decent.

Stopped by for lunch and we loved it. The paninis are delicious and the crab sandwich. The cakes were lovely too and the two ladies working there are super friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back! Child friendly too which was a bonus!

The staff are really friendly and happy to chat, the coffee is good and reasonably priced and better then others in Stives. The food is amazing especially the crab salad and the bacon/ sausage baps and not forgetting their merchandise I’ve bought one of their cups last year and it’s still going strong. I really can’t recommend Sea Of Coffee enough so if your ever in Stives pop in you really won’t be disappointed.

We ordered 4 cream teas which were delicious. The two ladies serving were fantastic chatting to us all and making us feel really welcome. We were so impressed we pre ordered breakfast wraps for the following morning as we had an early start travelling. These were ready when we went to collect and tasted yummy. Thank you for great customer service. Would recommend this place.

Just away from the main shopping street so less busy, Lovely fresh scone with jam and cream. Americano though lacked flavour and was rather watery. Lovely seating up stairs although spoilt by people working on laptops and talking loudly on business meetings!. Friendly staff, good service.

We visited for coffee and were very disappointed. The latte couldn’t have been much worse. Luckily the sausage bap was a bit better. We wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for good coffee.

Lovely friendly little coffee shop. Coffee is excellent. Coffee and walnut cake was delicious. Has a lovely relaxed seating area upstairs too.

Enjoyed excellent coffee, beautiful gluten free coffee & walnut cake and bacon roll. Lovely cheerful decor and helpful friendly staff who helped me choose what to have. Lovely lounge upstairs with super toilets. Please visit - you will be impressed too.

What a terrific coffee shop. Really friendly staff and fantastic decor. Go upstairs and check out the real sliced wood furniture. Great pastries too.

Visiting St Ives my son and I visited Sea of Coffee for a coffee break. Great coffee and small cake. So impressed we returned for lunch. Great home made soup and bread rolls. Highly recommended

Friendly staff. Lovely coffee and good value for money. Unfortunately our cake was dry, probabaly because it was late in the day. Will try something different next time.

Popped in here for a coffee and breakfast, they had a deal with a hot drink and a breakfast roll for £5.50 . I had an egg and mushroom roll which was delicious my partner had a bacon roll, which he said contained amazing quality...

This is a great little café on the hill down into the centre of St Ives. We only stopped here for coffee but the baked pastries and sandwiches looked great. Coffee was excellent, service was quick and friendly. The loos are up a flight of...

We stopped off here, dying for some drinks and something to nibble on, and what a great place it is, the milkshakes are heaven, the service excellent, and the staff are so friendly. Highly Recommend.
