After many years of great food and service, we were shocked and horrified by the appalling lack of customer service following a terrible JustEat experience..... Despite knowing, and being known by this business for countless years, I am speechless. As it stands they will get no more custom from us, and we will share our awful experience with all our friends....

I had takeaway chips and fish. Very nice chips, and fish is good n chunky. Nice staff too.

I had a fantastic experience at this place. The fish and fries were absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The fries were perfectly golden and seasoned just right. What really stood out was the friendly and attentive service. The staff was incredibly welcoming and ensured everything was perfect. The prices were also very reasonable, making this place an even better value. The overall atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. I highly recommend this spot for a great meal, excellent service, and great prices!🍟🤤

Worst fish and chips ever tried. Even the staff were rude. Didn't try to help. Asked for dips which i asked to pay for when said i will pay then didn't let me use card. Never gonna try again..

Be careful. Even after you request tartar sauce, they’ll sloppily tell you it’s included in the bag and that won’t be true at all. Happened to me twice. Dismissive of women in their store. Bad communication. No effort to find a solution to the problem, only defensive and wants to blame the customer instead of finding a solution. It’s only tartar sauce. I spent almost £50 and they want to focus and fight about being right instead of suggesting how I can buy it from them or how they’ll improve their service in future. Just find a solution and move on, instead of attacking the customer and turning a molehill into a mountain. Awful men.

Good food for low prices. Having to wait is rare

One of my favourite local spots for fish and chips! I’m usually fussy about my fish and sea masters always meets my expectations. The cod is fresh and not chewy when eating. The chips are never soggy or stale as that’s one of my pet peeves with a chippy. Great service and value too :)

Popped in here for lunch andvwas blown away with my meal. Ordered sausage in batter and chips. The restauranr was spotless and the chios were golden and crispy on the outside and light and fluffy inside. The sausage in batter was so crunchy and tasty. Id recommend this to anyone in the area and will be back

This used to be a great fish and chip shop when it was run by the previous owner but it appears that unfortunately it’s gone downhill, expensive tasteless fish undercooked. Unfortunately I won’t return.

Chips are amazing, so crispy and hot.

Excellent fish and chips all round. Haddock was fried by order very quickly I.e. in well under 10 minutes, and the batter was crisp and not too oily, while the fish had good taste and some creaminess to it. Size was relatively good for price and the chips were certainly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! I ordered a medium portion which is just enough for 2 people, hence I had leftovers. Their tartar sauce was superb and I highly recommend trying it. The younger man serving me and all from the front, was genuinely kind and caring in his service, as dedicated as all staff were. Definitely worth the short walk from Rickmansworth Station!

Chips are the best I have ever had.

My go to for years and years, but unfortunately, like most takeaways theae days, the quality of food and ingridients has drastically decreased whilst prices continue to rise, todays meal was inedible, half cooked chips and bone dry fish, very dispppointed

Got a delivery this evening. The cod was a very nice fillet that had been cooked reasonably well but the batter was soggy on the bottom side and it came lukewarm. The 'scampi' were nondescript. The chips were very very good indeed. But they neglected to deliver the bottle of coke that we'd ordered and paid for and declined to redeliver it when we called to inform them of their error. Will not order from them again. Poor customer service and inconsistent food.

Usually its shop serves the best Fish and Chips in the area. Last week I was very disappointed with my order. Collected at 18:00 so thought everything would be fresh. Chips were cold and hard and the battered sausage was very dry. I hope this was a one off but it did put me off retuning anytime soon.

Really good quality fish and chips, I travel from Nth. Watford to Mill End, to buy these. Having said that, the quality comes at a price! We still think it's worth it for the occasional treat. I always have Haddock and my wife Plaice.

I go to different parts of the coast regularly and always get fish and chips. But 90% of them don't compare to sea masters. The chips are always well cooked, the fish is very nice, can be a little greasy at times but taste great, and the home made tartar sauce is the best iv had.

Fifth visit in as many months and I’m blown away by the standard each time. Succulent cod every time cooked in the most wonderful batter I’ve experienced and I’ve been to many top rated fish n chip shops, but none are as good as this. Fantastic value and the homemade Tartar sauce is a must. Highly recommend.

Chips were great, fish was OK but the batter was totally inedible... just dripping in oil, just couldn't eat any of the batter.

every sunday wife always makes an order (which I have to collect). Why don’t these guys do delivery?? the wife knows I’m drinking on sunday and still I have to collect it! This place does some of the best gulten free batter I have had. I thought my local chippy in the New Forest was good, but trust me this is fantastic batter. So crispy, a joy to bite into with a crunch. The fish is always spot on and we'll cooked and the chips are just as good. Whenever I am up this way I will always try to.come in and get my fix of batter. I would highly recommend this chippy to anyone that needs to have gulten free batter.

Over cooked scrappy old chips. It was excellent but for some reason the chips are no good . I will try once more but if it continues i will go elsewhere

I rang up and ordered five lunch boxes with cod chips and mushy peas. Another with haddock and another with plaice for the next day. I was told the lunch boxes for the cod would be £7.00 with a free drink and £7.50 for the others. When I went in to collect the orders they knew nothing about them. I explained what I wanted and the guy kept saying medium fish and I kept saying no the lunch boxes. He wanted to charge me £100 I tried several times to explain what I wanted and eventually he charged me £ 7.00 for the cod boxes each\ but individually charged me for the other fish, chips and mushy peas. He also refused to give me the drinks with the five fish boxes which the poster clearly said came with it and which I have had before. I then had to wait for them all to be cooked. Yes they were nice but I am very unhappy with the way the order was handled and of course it is much better for them to try to overcharge me. Wont be visiting again. They werent wearing masks and there was no screen which I wasnt happy about waiting so lon\\\g for the order.

I haven’t had good fish and chips for a long time but this has changed my mind! I had a lovely piece of cod and the chips were amazing, really crispy not soggy. It will definitely be my take out choice next time. Would highly recommend!

Abosulely brilliant. Gluten free option dare I say even better than the standard. Available ever day on 15 minutes notice. So grateful ... Just newly diagnosed Coeliac.

I don't normally write reviews, but I had to in this case. Being originally from the north, and from the coast, I didn't think I would ever get fish and chips locally anwhere near as good as those I'm used to. Wrong. This place is absolutely knock out. We go every week now, can recommend the haddock - the portion is so big that I share one, and I have a good appetite! Ignore the rubbish reviews and try for yourself.

Unfortunatly both Cod's were covered in thick batter & dripping with oil, fish quality poor. Chips 50% potato, 50% deep fried potato ends & batter. Why has the food declined consierably ?

I’ve eaten from here with my family quite a few times over the years, and have recently been in on my own due to corona. The staff are always friendly at the counter and I’ve even exchanged a few laughs with them too :) the food of course is of a great quality, the cod melts in the mouth and the chips are so ‘More-ish’. I don’t usually write reviews, but since I’ve been in and experienced being there first hand I thought it was worth to say something :)) thank you for your service!!

For years i have been getting sea master fish and chips and they never fail to be of a high standard, the quality is always fresh and delicious. The customer service is also always welcoming! Not one of my family members have complained and they always look forward to eating from sea master. Having tried many of their food items there isn’t one item i wouldn’t recommend my personal favourite being their fish and chips, my family members also love their sausages, saveloys and onion rings! 100% recommended if you’re looking for a classical British fish and chips at a reasonable price:)I’m not one to leave reviews but this time i felt it was necessary!

Absolutely descusting. Ordered 2 haddocks tasteless and over cooked . The batter was like concrete and dripping with grease the chips wernt much better all went in the bin waste of £16. I would of taken it back but only just finished work so couldn't be bothered to drive back. Staff miserable aswell. Been using for long time but has gone right down hill . Wont be going back think I'll use the chippy in maple Cross from now on. Avoid at all costs

We started using this place as a weekly takeaway for the family at the beginning of lockdown as our local one was closed. Last month my partner went in and collected our order and forgot my pickled onion! Knowing i like them he went back in and said 'sorry I forgot the onion' The guy says, it a minimum £5 spend and suggested he bought several cans of coke to make up the difference. He was embarrassed to say no and reluctantly agreed. None of us drink coke! Could he really not of given us one pickled onion considering we spend about £20 a week there! Tonight my partner just wanted a portion of chips, when he tried to pay the guy says 'minimum £5 spend, this time he gave him 4 pickled onions and a can of coke, which again he didn't want, but this guy just wants your money regardless! I wish my partner had of told him to keep the chips and walk out! We will never go there again. The fish has been not so good recently anyway, pretty sure the cod isn't cod and its soggy. After reading the other reviews this guy seems intent to rip people off. I am another person that will be contacting trading standards.

I went to sea master last night best fish and chips I’ve had and will definitely be going back. The food is 10/10 and the portion sizes are really big 👍.

Got small cod and chips last night and they charged £9.00 for it got home opened and the chips were soaked and swimming in oil and soggy! the cod had soggy batter and fish was over cooked like tuff rubber! i had to bin it, AVOID!

I ordered two large cods and they packed me one one large and one medium.! It’s happened several times now and it’s a very common practice. They charge customers for large cods and pack mediums instead., especially of Fridays, when customers just want their orders and get home. I shall be reporting them to trading standards for ripping off people. Customers beware.

I had takeaway from here and I order gluten free fish and chips. It was the best I have had. The fish with gluten free batter was the best I have ever had and the chips were exceptional. Will definitely visit there again.

I ordered a medium matzo cod supper and unfortunately it tasted rubbery which suggests it was overcooked. I contacted the chippy and the bloke on the phone agreed with what i said, but did not even apologise for the overcooked fish, which upset me as its supposed to be one of the best fish and chips in the area....shame..

We regularly have fish and chips take away and we are lucky this is our local 'chippy'. Orders are cooked fresh and quality is always first class. Staff are friendly and service is efficient, even when very busy on Friday and Saturday evenings

Excellent haddock and chips, fantastic home-made tartar sauce. Clean and nice venue. How a chippy should look and operate. Open also on Sundays, when your usual fryers take a nap. They have cod goujons on the menu, great idea, good value, great flavour.

Some of the best cod and chps we ever had, we tell all our friends about it and we are never disapointed! Portion sizes are huge if thats your thing but we find that one serving of cod and chips is enough to feed 2 adults!!

This is a very clean fish and chip shop. The guys take pride in their work. The fish is extremely fresh. However, again I got extremely greasy fish and chips. I’m really disappointed. Also, I’m wondering and this is a question do you use palm oil blend?

We have been coming here for a number of years, even though we have moved from Rickmansworth to Croxley, we still make the journey - it is worth it! The chips are cooked to perfection and the portion sizes for the price are very generous.Haven't had the fish so can't comment on this.

I’d heard a lot about this establishment and thought I would give it a try. The staff are friendly, and the f&c; excellent. We did have to wait a while for ours, whereby they kept apologising. It it was well worth it.Huge portions, fish was cooked perfectly and chips were not greasy .the cost wasn’t overpriced compared to other f&c; in the area. Much nicer I would say . Definately will return..

I am a regular customer here to the Sea Master since it opened. From the first day up until now the food is always fresh (made to order) and tasty this is what you call proper fish and chips.

I have been visiting this establishment on average once a month over the last few years. The quality has dwindled along with the service. The owner looks disgruntled and uninterested in serving customers and a true example of craving money rather than serving good quality fish and chips to there regulars.

Definitely the best fish and chip shop in the area. We always get the cod & chips and it’s lovely ... a huge thick fillet of cod and loads of crispy chips. Also love their (homemade?) tartare and curry sauces.

A great take way Fish and Chip Shop.

I ordered cod and chips and waited 10 minutes as it was cooked to order. Batter was golden and crispy and the chips were cooked to perfection. The restaurant was spotless and service was ok. Based on food alone the restaurant deserves a 5 but because they charge extra for tartar sauce and ketchup I've knocked it down to a 4. I paid £7.70 for a medium fish and chips and felt a bit cheated that it didn't at least include the ketchup (60p extra for 2 sachets).

I should have read the reviews first, as other have written portion are large. I find with fish and chip shops that the smell is always far better than the taste. These fish and chip however were very good. I would recommend, but perhaps one between two.

Really enjoyed the chips. Service was a bit disorganized and the Rock Salmon was below average but the chips were awesome. Friendly service and will try something else next time back.

Portions are huge! The fish is lovely, really tasty and you can ask for gluten free or matzo meal batter if required. The chip portions are ridiculously huge (one large portion serves our family of 4) but very tasty proper chip shop chips. Always service with a smile!

This take away shop is fabulous. The food is incredible and the people are always so kind and polite. They are marvellous and I would definitely recommend this fish and chip shop to anyone.

Our annual end of year bash involves a fish & chip supper half way through the evening, and Sea Master has been norm for some years, by all accounts. This year was brilliantly furnished with cod, haddock, mushy peas and sausages of high quality: not one complaint was heard and my haddock, in particular, was delicious!

Este "fish and chips" es sin duda el mejor pescado y patatas fritas que puedas encontrar por millas. La comida siempre es fresco a la orden y el personal siempre muy amable y profesional. La calidad se encuentra en la comida y en el servicio....

Lo que ha sucedido a las patatas fritas en el mar maestros? ! Que usan para ser bastante bueno, pero recientemente con todo este negocio de "palidez", como me dijeron en la gestión (más duros y otra vez. Y luego a la izquierda) para sentarse...

Pescado y patatas fritas una gran relación calidad-precio, nunca tuvimos una mala comida una pena no entregar pero vale la pena el esfuerzo.

Utilizamos con frecuencia. Principal sea razonablemente Las porciones de pescado son grandes y enormes y nos hemos llevado a compartir una solla porque comemos demasiado. Tengo que admitir, el bacalao es mi favorito - grande y con una masa inestable crujiente para morirse.

As Chippy's go, Sea Master certainly one of the best. The fish is always fresh and chips really tasty. As a few words for the wise:The fish portions can be large. So if ordering a Large Cod - be prepared for 'Moby Dick". Nice if you are really hungry, but can also easily be shared between two.Likewise the chips. A Large Portion is really three person's worth of chips. We go regularly and generally order two small (normal) Cod or Haddock, and a single, normal portion of chips and that really is enough.This is not a complaint as the food is really very good value for money and well cooked.

Great fish and chips. There can be long queues but they work hard to get you served quickly and its worth the wait. They are not busy for no reason!
