Lovely freshly cooked, very hot breakfast with lovely fresh thick toast was just what I needed before a week of fun at the nearby outdoor centre.

It just never disappoints. Love, love, LOVE this place! HH had the cod, I had the seared tuna which may just have been the best tuna i've ever had. Chorizo scotch egg to start with for him, fresh sardines for me, and we shared a very lush dessert of enormously chocolatey proportions. Wine list is excellent too. A real treat. And a window table. Helped to make my birthday. The standards here continue to be right up there.

Caffi Hen Felin

16/11/2018: Called in on way back down from the falls after walking in the hills for over 2 hours. Great selection of home made cakes etc and good coffee. The staff were friendly and efficient. Will visit again next time we walk in that area.
08/09/2018: After a splendid walk through the wooded valley up to Aber Falls, we stopped on our return at Caffi Hen Felin for lunch and enjoyed a delicious freshly cooked meal of Welsh Rarebit, Cheese Scone and egg and black pudding and the soup of the day. All were top-notch and to crown it all, we enjoyed a freshly baked cake with our coffee. This Coffee Walnut cake must rate as the best I’ve eaten. What a find and it’s a place I’ll be returning to in the future...you can bet your walking boots on that!

Whitehall

22/08/2018: Recommended by B&B.; Booked but free tables on arrival. Pub with gastro food. Nice steak and chips plus steak and ale pie. Wine good too. Ok but nothing special
04/11/2018: We had the carvery lunch here last Sunday and found the pub very busy, both downstairs and upstairs. We were soon seated and served and didn’t have to wait long for starters; these were not too generous but in the event this was a good thing as the main courses were large and there was a huge amount of vegetables (8 different types). There was also lots of extra gravy. We managed to eat everything, though it was a struggle! Unfortunately that left no room for desserts.
