Burgers were amazing and the seasoning on the chips was really tasty. Great vibe about the place and the music was first class. The kids menu was a nice touch. The only downside is that we don't live locally so can't go more regularly. My 8 year old's review is "It's really good. Burgers great,chips great. Definitely try the cookie dough brownie.AMAZING!!!"

Do not order delivery from here. Several times now we have had delivery orders cancelled with no explanation, only for our ordered items to disappear from the menu, if you are unable to fulfil an order, do not mislead your customers and have them on there in the first place.

Amazing bottomless brunch. Caitlin was our server and she is not too fault. She was so efficient and so welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend.

My sister Sandra Nicholson and husband keith were Calvin's regulars at Scott and wilson since it first opened. Calvin knew them well. They introduced us to s and wilson. Sadly both passed away 3 year ago. We had both their wakes here. We have come here on anniversary of sandras death each year to raise a toast to them .Food is always amazing but sadly tonight both the humous and tsatsiki were tasteless 😒 (sorry) and the pitta bread was replaced with giant bagel which was really very hard and crispy could only eat half. The mains was gorgeous as usual for the 3 of us. We will continue to come here as we often call in for breakfasts. Just thought I would be honest. The girl serving us was lovely. Thanks Chris taylor

Ordered 2 garlic Parm burgers, hash brown onion rings and a box of free chicken wings per the offer. Food came fast but all of it was clap cold. Chips and hash brown onion rings were soggy and cold. The burger didn't have Mac and cheese in, as stated via the menu. Neither had any sniff of any sort of cheese. Chicken wings, can't complain too much because they were free , but they had no flavour at all. Just disappointed really given the other reviews being so positive

I'm sorry but buy on get one free burger and chips and TWENTY free wings on a thirty pound purchase how are you still in business exactly.

A great place for breakfast. Lovely chilled vibes in the morning. They offer some really good 'alternative' options for breakfast, as well as the usuals. I can't recommend the chilli honey highly enough! The breakfast with haggis and peppercorn sauce was also great.

Had an amazing afternoon and evening upstairs in the private room. 25 of us had fantastic food and drinks and the room was perfect - staff were so friendly and attentive and the whole atmosphere was fabulous. Had so many comments from friends who hadn’t been before about the place and the food. Lovely cocktails and drinks. Huge thanks to Calvin and the staff for an unforgettable night.

We had a fantastic time here last night. We hired the function room upstairs for my 50th birthday meal with a large family. The room itself was perfect- lovely decor and we had our own private bar. The bar tender (sorry, I can’t remember her name!) was really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was gorgeous too, we’ll definitely be coming back to try other dishes from the menu in the future. Overall, a really great place for a celebration. Thank you Scott and Wilson.

Went for a.mid week lunch, 2 courses for £10 each, amazing value and fabulous food

A friend has been begging me to go for weeks and I'm glad I did I had the scott burger and coke, everything was fresh and homemade and beautifully presented and the staff were so friendly. (out of this world service) The place was clean and well looked after

We went for Sunday lunch as online it said it did Sunday lunch still. Was a little disappointed at first but our food was delicious and a great selection, staff were helpful and very friendly

Went for burgers as a belated father's day treat, son & daughter chose the venue as it was local to them.

Called here on a busy Friday evening for food whilst in the area, popular establishment, lots of passing trade making this place the first stop on they nights in to town. Great atmosphere and friendly staff, opted for a 4 small plate starter which were all really tasty and TBH thought that would be enough as a sharer then burger after burger kept coming from the kitchen, gotta have me one of those, classic house burger, 2 'smashed' patties, cheese gherkins and really tasty sauce, side salad and seasoned chips, really excellent. They sell Camden brewery beers, stout was excellent, I didn't get the name of the guy looking after us, had a cap on (you know who you are) really friendly, as we left said we would call again. Roll on Saturday night, we went again, didn't expect to be so soon, didn't disappoint. Looking forward very much to visiting when next in the area. Keep up the good work.

We ordered takeaway via uber eats I had the Chilli Cheese Burger and my other half had the Katsu Curry. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would highly recommend them. "Update" we have just called in for lunch the food, drinks and service were amazing 👏

Unbelievable venue in the heart of ne29 great staff and menu was unreal cheers and even offer takeaway delivery option which came in useful!!! Highly recommend. The salt and pepper burger another level

My Friday morning pitstop for a full english

Great place for a brew and a bite, very warm feeling to the place and staff are really chatty and helpful. Bacon sandwich is best I've ever had because they know what cremated means, purely belta!

Limited menu of burgers or tapas . We Had to send food back because chips were very over cooked .Waitress extremely argumentive and offered us to get burgers first and chips later ,but relented when said chips shouldn't have been brought table by her ,so offered new meal . I Ordered coffee to have with meal but by time second meal arrived coffee was finished ,I would have preferred to be given a second cup of coffee .Waitress upon paying bill was very surly and full of attitude

Good healthy food. We had the chicken chincho and falafel chincho, both were great. Only down side here is lack of parking but it's worth parking up the road and walking too.

One of the worst takeaways I have had in a long time. Chips turned up frozen in the middle as the chicken tenders grim. Burger was just pure grease won't be surprised if I am ill tomorrow from this honestly avoid.

Can't complain at a 12 inch four cheese pizza for £11 that was so filling I had to leave some of it. Staff friendly, service good, and beer prices( competitive £2.50 for a half if lager is probably the going rate these days). I will recommend Scott and Wilson to anyone who fancies a bistro experience in North Shields and also they have buskers nights every week and an Irish themed weekend to coincide with St Patricks Day. No gripes from me as this is my first time and not the last and the owner seems to know many of the customers, which is another good sign.

Lovely little bar/bistro. Spent a couple of hours with some fab G&Ts and wonderful burgers.

Rented out the upstairs room for my birthday a few weeks ago. Was such a good night! Staff were really helpful and we had so much fun. Highly recommend it up there.

Very warm welcome from the front of house staff. We were looking for a good breakfast and we definitely found it. Great selection of breakfast items in the menu also. Will 100% be back just from breakfast alone. Will be recommending this place for sure. Thank you.

Four of us called in here, for the first time, last night for drinks and decided to stay and share some food. We loved this place. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and the food and drinks, (beer and cocktails) were all delicious. It’s a really comfortable place with a great atmosphere. Nipping clean as my mam would say. We will definitely be back, thank you for your hospitality, we had a great night.

This is a nice little place to go for a drink or food but I can no longer go anymore because of the smell it leaves in my hair, on my clothes etc Is it an extractor fan that they need? If so, please invest in one!

I've been going to Scott and Wilson since its opened, the food selection is unbelievable wether it's the breakfast or anything later on. Drinks are also amazing and priced much better then my local. The staff are a good laugh, can't recommend this place highly enough, shame loads of fake reviews have been left down to a joke about football but that's bitter mackems for you. Rob

Food was very low quality and the staff were rude. They decide where you are from and think it is ok to be rude and abusive to customers based on where you are from alone. I can not condone this behaviour.

Not too long ago I ordered delivery breakfast from here, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it was delivered, still hot and nicely layed out in the container. The ingredients were clearly fresh and high end, tasting exceptionally well, everything was cooked to perfection. My partner had a veggie option and she said it was one of the best breakfasts she had and she is picky mind :) With their quality they have set a new standard for me that no past breakfasts from other places could even come close to. Highly recommend!

Came down for breakfast and ordered the full English with halloumi and it didn't disappoint! All cooked to perfection, and the baked beans were absolutely unreal need that seasoning so I can make them myself at home! Staff super friendly, plenty of tables inside and out. Also dog friendly. Definitely coming back to get the bao buns next time 👍 👌

This small café/restaurant was a real find for us. It is dog friendly , which is a bonus on our first night in North Shields. There were different guitarists playing through the evening creating a lovely relaxing atmosphere. We both opted for the £10 two course deal with one of us having the burger and the other a chicken meal in a large folded tortilla , both served with a huge pile of chips . Dessert was chocolate brownie and chocolate , a treat but honestly we were over full by this point. Definitely worth a visit if you want an ample serving of everything and a great price .

I love this place, the staff are really friendly, the food however is fantastic. My personal favourite are the breakfasts. Be careful with the waffles, they are habit forming 🤣, seriously they are delicious as are the full cooked breakfasts. As to the evening menu, the Wilson burger is the boss, seriously everything is good 😋! The cocktails are superb, any chance of doing an "Old fashioned"???

Lots to choose from on the menu. Couldn’t believe I was getting 2 courses for £10, and they were proper portions too! Lots of flavour. Me and a friend shared the mac and cheese with pulled pork and the chilli beef nachos and we couldn’t finish it all. Went for the cookie dough brownie for desert and it was probably the best brownie I’ve ever had. Served warm and gooey, was so full by the end of it. Staff were lovely too. If you’re looking for somewhere for food that isn’t super expensive with decent portions, definitely give this place a try!

We dined on the 2 course for £10 I was disappointed, the food was bland. I love it here service is top notch but on this occasion the food didn't hit the mark, no presentation like normal just meh😕 sorry guys

I love the hot chocolate from here. But sitting in for the first time last week was a treat. We only stopped for one drink but we had quick snack as well. They have a good selection of Asian style dishes and we had some spot on grub. Proud to say that I love down the road from Scott and Wilson. Much recommended for anyone visiting the area.

Fabulous Po boy. I wasn't expecting it to compare favorably to Louisiana Po Boy, but it was up there. Excellent job. Love the staff.

Went for the first time last night for the buskers night. Food was amazing, chicken katsu Bao buns were really nice, the buns themself were amazing, the katsu chicken was unreal and one portion is 2 buns which is a very fair portion size for the price. We just shared a side of chips/fries, once again it was an ample amount for 2. Loved hearing the live music whilst enjoying our food. Gave it a real nice atmosphere.

I have just ordered food from Scott & Wilson, via Uber eats, and halfway through my meal I discovered uncooked chicken in the meal. I took the meal back to the premises (as the phone number on the web does not work) to show the bad meal. the staff were helpful and showed me how to get a refund on Uber (I was told the restaurant cannot refund at all if ordered via Uber). My concern is that the food was taken to the chef, who came out and bare faced lied to me regarding the chicken being raw. my entire family works in the food industry and raw chicken was easily identified. This level of arrogance, claiming that the chicken could not possibly have been undercooked, is a major health concern, which is why I cannot in good conscience eat from there again. I genuinely hope no one else has been subjected to undercooked chicken from this restaurant.

Been here a few times now, the food is always excellent, quick service and a lovely little quirky atmosphere. One of my favourite little restaurants A must try! You won’t be disappointed

I always write reviews good and bad. I feel bad is important to give feedback and good is to give credit where due - we ate here last night as a table of 3 - one celiac and one vegan and we came as we knew they catered for all 3 of us which is great and sometimes hard to find - the singer was good although a little loud if your just wanting to eat and chat. It’s more of a pre going out vibe. Then my friends eyes watered the entire time we ate due to the kitchen there was a strong smell of grease/fryer and her eyes streamed through out - I noticed it but didn’t realise how strong the smell was until I got home and my partner removed my clothes from the room and made me wash my hair, we won’t be returning due to this although the food was nothing to complain about I don’t know how I’m going to freshen up my new coat - I don’t mean to write a negative review and I do feel bad but hopefully if this is addressed future customers won’t leave having removed it from there places to go list forever. We had been advised of this by someone else as well just before visiting but decided to still come along. I’ve been in the past for lunch and breakfast a few years ago and this is deffo a new issue.

Kudos! You’ve perfectly captured in food form merely existing in life with feelings of hopelessness and despair. In fairness, we did enjoy the Chicken Goyza starter, but the wings were dreadful. It’s actually impressive how devoid of flavour the chicken was. The thai green curry did look amazing, but zero flavour. The rice was both undercooked and burnt which I thought was a particularly good effort. The scott burger was better as it came with a salad and chips which were decent. The trademark joyless empty flavour was experienced in the patty though. The menu has quite an impressive selection but I would suggest it would be better to cut the menu down to what they have actual ability to offer. The Chicken Goyza starter does leave me thinking there might be a half decent meal combination you could pick. We did not find it. The service was a mixed bag too. We came in and were forgotten about but there was only one other table occupied. We did see 2 people sit down and then change their minds fairly promptly. Smart move folks! But generally being served the interactions were pleasant enough. On the way out I did have to do a double take on their version of a good bye. Instead of the more common thanks for coming or whatever, it was a suspicious have you settled the bill. Brilliant! Not sure if we appeared a tad shady or probably more likely the lady was shocked someone would pay without complaining. I never enjoy the thoughts of how my food might be handled if I was to complain. Although to be fair, at least then the food may have tasted of something… If it were a matter of life or death I would probably eat here again. But I’d think about it first.

Only had one quick (and just right strength) coffee but I was impressed enough to come away with breakfast and lunch menus. Other patrons' bacon rolls looked full of bacon, nicely crisped. I'll make a plan to go back shortly for one of their breakfasts: savoury waffles, perhaps, or a Scott Stack with a pork patty and hash browns? What caught my eye on the mains menu were the variety of currys and Thai, plus an intriguing mix of vegetarian flavours...and Katsu sauce...sigh!

Visited Scott & Wilson with my wife and son on a Saturday tea time and the place had a great atmosphere with very welcoming front of house staff. Good selection of beers and the food menu has lots of choice. All 3 of us agreed that the food was lovely and the portion size was fantastic. Very well recommended and very much looking forward to a return visit!

Absolutely loved this place, warm welcome, friendly atmosphere and modern style. I have only tried the breakfast at Scott and Wilson, pleased to say its not you normal full breakfast, sausages full of flavour and a unique twist on most items on the breakfast. The only classic think on the menu is the coffee, i had a really well made latte. Hopefully I'll be back soon to try there evening meals.

we had a great brunch, their new menu has some terrific new items as well as all the old favourites, very dog friendly and just a nice place to chill.
