the worst fish & chips I can remember ever having. Batter thin, white & soggy. Fish, although of a good size, tasteless and suspect not cod. Chips were very pale and some where not cooked through. It seems that the fat was oil & not hot enough to cook the food to a crisp. Never again, thought we would give this place a go after our usual was closed. Used to be a first class when we used it a couple of years ago.

I've been using this shop for a year now and really enjoyed the food. Sadly, I've noticed the portions are getting smaller. I had xl fish and chips on Friday and the fish was not xl and there was a handful of chips. The peas were also well watered down. I know times are hard but its the one meal I look forward to every week. Very disappointed but I will give it one more chance next Friday.

If you are at beach and never try fish & chips it mean you missed real fun but things different at Saltburn. Because this is the only fish & chips so customers haven’t choice but to face bad customer service and poor food.

Myy Grandson and I stopped at water wheel last Sunday for a carvery, my grandson got me out of the car put me into wheel chair a young lady promptly open the door grandson push me to a table for two one of the remove a chair 💺 out of way grandson 😀 pushed me to the. Table I then ask ask the chef 👨🍳 if he could laquadise the some of the vegetables he said no problem just pick out what you want l had everything except 😉 I think it was red cabbage I clear my plate and really enjoyed it. The chef was called Richard And the waitress was called Jackie. But all the staff were so very helpful and when we went to go the gent behind the held the door open. It's about 8 miles outside Whitby of the A174 on the right well sign posted. Turn right and it's about 1 mile on down on the right plenty of parking and a nice garden to sit in. Don't struggle to park in town and be forced to have fish a chips to share with the gulls, take drive and enjoy the carvery . THnk you GEORGE AND DAVID
