Scott & Mortensens in Thanet

Have visited this spot many times over the years and had some truly great seafood - carabineros, wonderfully crisp Fritto Misto etc but visited today to find the place unrecognizable. Hand written limited menu and the execution was awful. Limp battered muscles and terrible quality (looked like frozen) prawns which has been flash fried. I would have expected better from a fish and chip van. This place used to have massive queues but I can only assume that the staff or owners have changed because the quality has disappeared.

Great tasting breakfast, nice coffee and friendly staff.

Very disappointed with the main course, out of 9 of us, only 2 people enjoyed, one actually had a black hair in his steak. Will not be returning.

Wow wow wow! The roast dinner was DELISH! Beautiful setting, lovely cosy pub, excellent waitering staff & delish wines. The roast dinner was amazing. I opted for the Beetroot & Mushroom Wellington (I’m not veggie but it sounded good) and I’m so glad I went for it. Veg was yummy roast potatoes on point and the Yorkshire pudding was one of the best. So happy with it & suitable stuffed! Thanks to the Bedford Inn Team

Enjoyed my meal immensely. Attentive, friendly staff and charming interior. Loved the fresh flowers.
