Came here for lunch on the hottest day of the year and the waitress decided it was a great idea to take ALL of the umbrellas away as one or two were flapping in the wind where no-one was sitting. Asked if we could keep ours and was told if everyone else can't have them, neither can you. Seriously? I'm pretty sure it's down to the customer whether they can have an umbrella for shade and who were not sitting in a windy spot?? Oh, and we also had to go find someone to pay our food bill to be told we're avoiding going outside because it's too hot. Shame about the shoddy service we had as the venue is very nice with lovely views over Pegwell Bay. Has put me off returning

Visited this great venue for my birthday aug 12 absolutely fantastic service and delicious food, extremely attentive waiting staff from Becky's great team . Visited with young son & Nan, portions were large & delicious. The fish batter was crispy, steak & ale pie was tender home made taste. Staff friendly and priced well. Can eat in or out, we chose in as too hot a day. Definitely go back and would recommend.

Friendly, warm welcome. Allowed plenty of time to choose from the great menu choices. Great view from the balcony, felt like I was on ship with the rising tide. Loved it. Beer battered cod was excellent accompanied with chunky chips and a respectable glass of Malbec. My friends had Mediterranean Vegetable Tart and both agreed it was superb. We would have had a dessert but were full not helped by the warm weather. Overall a pleasurable experience all round.

Food was really good. I really wanted to comment on the servers. They were really polite, helpful and presentable. A real credit to the restaurant.

I fantastic gluten-free menu with many choices you would not expect to see there. Food was excellent. Service was great. Truly recommend this place. Give it a try if you’re in the area book so you don’t get disappointed.

We had my mum's wake here 7yrs ago and it was lovely, had our Dad's wake here yesterday 26th June 2024, was just as good, lovely sunny day, food, service and staff were brilliant couldn't fault a thing, thankyou peggwell staff you made 2 sad occasions alot easier.

Arrived great customer service. Was expecting new summer menu but not for another 2 weeks quite dissapointed. Good service very attentive probably too attentive!!! Need more time to read menu felt very rushed when hardly anyone in restaurant, we like to take our time a leisurely lunch. Food ok but portions very small!!! We came away hungry and thats not good as not cheap.

Great place to swing by for refreshments which we do often when out for a clifftop walk - friendly staff, great range of beverages and hearty meals! Even better when sitting out looking across the bay! Cheers 🥂🍻

The staff are really friendly and made us welcome, I came with 7 family members & 2 dogs into a really good atmosphere, the food is delicious & all home cooked.

One of my families fav places for a lush sunday roast! Big portions and all the staff are super friendly and the service is quick! When the weather picks up we will be back to drink up in the sun on the balcony that has great views and looks down on the ocean! 5 stars!

Lovely pub. Staff are always friendly and helpful. I go there often and enjoy the food, drinks and atmosphere. There's an amazing sea view from the deck at the rear of the pub. If you're not a fan of heights keep back from the rail lol.

OMG!! What a Sunday roast! Arrived and hadn’t booked they were super busy, restaurant full but we’re still very accommodating and served the best Sunday roast I’ve had out in years! Beef was tender, nice selection of veg thick gravy and proper muffin tin Yorkshire puddings! Also served with cauliflower cheese plenty for two!! Asked for extra gravy, not a problem and staff were super friendly and helpful! Will definitely be going again but will book as don’t want to be disappointed in not getting this fab roast!!

Could not be more accommodating - mum with 2 kids and a dog; treats for the dog and changed the channel on the tv so my eldest could watch football. Nice food, fair price, great staff. More than happy to recommend

Booked a table for 5.30 , st outside lovely views over the bay, ordered drinks and 2 roast beef roasts , what a disappointment, the Yorkshires were nearly black , the roast potatoes were rubbery on the outside and hard inside, carrots and parsnips were like rubber, the only decent things were the beef and the cauliflower cheese,,, what a awful meal especially at that price

It was my dad's 86 so we decided to stay at the Pegwell Bay Hotel for 3 nights, which the Seaview Restaurant is connected to. We had three evening meals there and one snack after midday and all meals were lovely, staff friendly and the view lovely. 😀 yes, would recommend xx

Great pub. We went twice. Our daughter loves their pasta, my best friend had fish and chips on both ocassions because she absolutely loved it. I had their prawn salad and it was so, so good. ❤️

We didn’t try the food so can’t comment and had to get drink’s from the bar so can’t comment about the service but, we were out on the veranda on a beautiful sunny day and everything was alright with the world. Waiting staff on the terrace would be fantastic……one thing we could definitely steal from Europe 😂😂😎😎

Really lovely place to eat and have a drink. Been here a few times since we found out the bar area is dog friendly. Food has always been really tasty and hot, with a reasonable waiting time. Friendly and welcoming staff, who fell in love with our puppy and made her feel at ease. Nice old fashioned atmosphere, which we love even though we're still young. Seems to attract a lot of mature people but sometimes a mix of ages. Will definitely be returning

All the staff were absolutely fantastic, so friendly, a huge thankyou and gratitude goes to Bex for helping to save my life. I choked on a chip, it was extremely scarey and I thought I wasn't gonna make it, my family were assisting me but Bex rushed forward and took control of the situation. A hard slap on the back and my trauma was over ( and my families ;-) she then got me a much needed drink of water.. Thank god Bex knew what to do. My Hero :-) x

Turned up on a Sunday lunchtime without a booking. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and service remained excellent throughout our visit. Food, though not exciting, arrived promptly, hot and well presented. Will certainly go again.

Food fell a bit short, overall good food but failed at desserts. Sticky toffee pudding was cold, Eton mess was strange

From first booking the restaurant to the end of our meal the service was excellent. There were 34 of us and we had pre-ordered our food as requested and it all came out quickly and extremely well cooked. No complaints from anyone. Mains and desserts were delicious. Comfortable seating and relaxed atmosphere. Very good bar service as well. Thank you to all the team for making our lunch so enjoyable.

There were 8 of us having lunch on 13th July. There was a wedding on at the time. Few of us had jacket pockets, they were cold not warm but cold!! . The salads were very cold!! .The plates were left for ages and not cleaned away. There was hardly any staff, probably cooking the wedding food. Awful !! Not going back

They say all it takes is one negative experience and sadly it’s been just that in respects to my experience here today. I specifically picked this place out above all others in which to have my birthday meal, but was met with awfully unkind and unfriendly service from the two waitresses. Firstly, I was told that I could not sit at the table of six as it had been reserved for an hour from now despite there being no reservation on the table, but still it’s fair enough, and we respected that. We were then told that we could not put tables together so was expected to all sit separately in the non smoking area. Who wants to do that for a family meal? We were then offered to put the tables together in the smoking area which I would never dream of sitting to enjoy a meal ever least of all with young children!!! I explained this in a respectful way and was told basically it’s tough luck and the only option we had was to sit indoors on this lovely sunny day. I wouldn’t mind but the place was practically empty, and if that’s the service you are offered I can see why it was empty. I have to say that the barman however was very kind and welcoming, but due to the reception from the two waitresses, I decided to take my business elsewhere. If you don’t care about the service you receive then by all means eat here because the food is lovely, but if you do, unless they change the waitresses, I would give it a wide berth.

This business has very friendly staff, an excellent menu catering for all tastes and is reasonably priced. it also has great views towards Pegwell Bay and Ramsgate Harbour area, depending on the direction you look. there were four of us , two of us had Scampi, one with normal chips the other had sweet potato chips, one had Cod and chips and finally the last person had home made Chicken and Mushroom pie. All meals arrived at the same time and all were delicious. They also had an excellent choice of wines and drinks available if required.

We love it here. What makes this a very special place are the amazing staff. They are super friendly and the warmth they give is consistent. It is an older style traditional tavern but somehow that just adds to its charm. If it is a sunny day then sitting on the balcony is a must. Food portions are generous and the sandwiches are terrific if just in need of a light lunchtime snack.

We arranged to have a wake in one of the function rooms. It was such a good decision. The room was beautiful and having use of the lovely terrace with the view of Pegwell Bay was an added bonus. The buffet was delicious and the staff were amazing. A huge thank-you to Richard who made the whole experience very comfortable and looked after all of us with such care. I highly recommend this venue nothing was too much trouble. If I could give them more stars I would.

The outside of building looked closed! But it was open. Arrived to a warm welcome sat outside lovely weather great sea views. Excellent service nothing too much trouble. Good food, hot and plentiful everybody enjoyed. The reason for a 4 was because there were no pies available

Such a beautiful setting, staff were friendly and trying their best but waiting 40+ minutes for sandwiches is pushing it. And then to be presented with precisely what you didn’t order was frustrating. They took it away and returned with a substitute but it was honestly inedible. The problem is you pay at the point of ordering so have no recourse if you can’t eat what you’ve paid for. We complained and they took our phone and email details but it’s been a week and nothing. Contempt for customer satisfaction on top of really bad food - not good is it? They obviously survive on the views which are stunning, just be smart and bring your own sandwiches.

First time we have been and we just wanted a simple meal for our 30th wedding anniversary. Very surprised as table was nicely dressed with "happy wedding anniversary" sprinkles, what a lovely touch! Both of our meals were excellently presented and served: plenty of good quality , hot and very tasty food. Very reasonably priced as well. Our server, Megan I think, was first class too. Would definitely go again and thoroughly recommend this establishment.

The food was excellent here, and the views were superb. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We had two meals here in the restaurant, but also were part of a wedding party that ate in the function rooms below. All the food was of a high quality. On our visit, there was scaffolding outside, so it does disguise the entrance but otherwise poses no problem.

Horrible customer service. We were about to make an order but the unfriendly bartender gave us an unwelcoming look saying that she was extremely busy.

Had lunch on a window table with a great sea view. I had cheese and bacon burger and my wife had pork belly. Both very very good with efficient friendly service.

Driving back to Dartford from a short stay in Ramsgate, decided to pop in here for a lunchtime bite and basically to tick the pub off as visited (pub ticker lol). Nice Gadds beer, nice lunchtime food, very well presented pub and lovely views over Pegwell Bay. For info pubs car park is opposite in the Pegwell Bay Hotel, which looks worth a stay in future. Special mention to Sophie who served me at the bar, you're a legend ❤. Date of visit Weds 9th November 2022.

Nice bar, nice beer. Less cliquey than in former years. Very much feels like a hotel bar (which it is of course) but we were given a friendly welcome by the staff.

Just had Sunday roast outside on the balcony in warm sunshine after a long walk along the clifftop. The views are awesome whilst listening to the shoreline birds. We received a warm friendly welcome. Then the roast arrived!!! Oh my! Tender beef, crispy rosemary roast potatoes, roast parsnips and carrots, cabbage - all fresh - with a side of cauliflower cheese and home made Yorkshire pudding! A jug of delicious tasty gravy and horseradish! Absolutely delicious. And the staff were very quick and attentive with nothing too much trouble. I’m just glad I only live down the road!! 😂😂
