Scoffs in Walsall

Went into scoffs had to take a second look. The shop had been renovated looked great. The manager very polite. The young girl that served us well her level of service was excellent 👍 and the food when we got home was piping hot. You just can’t beat the pork and stuffing fantastic

We'd heard scoffs was the place to go for a pork sandwich, so today we decided to go.... Well the waman that served us had a vile attitude, pulled her face when we said we wanted to eat in as we'd not been asked,then when I asked for gravy the guy pulled his face & the other woman in there looked very miserable when she came up to collect another couples plates & pulled her face....can honestly say that we WON'T BE COMING BACK if I could get away with it I'd give NO score

Always friendly staff and owner! We’ve visited almost all the chippies in Bloxwich and never went back more than once, then stumbled across scoffs one day a couple of years ago, it’s been our go-to chippy since! Always greeted with a smile and friendly chat, food is always great! (Personally I recommend the orange coated chips and some curry sauce). The portions are huge! And the prices are more than reasonable, we usually go with a £10 note and come out with a meal for us both each with change! Will always recommend scoffs to friends and family!

Always use this chippy as it's kinda nice most of the time, as there staff are really nice and food generally nice also but tonight I asked how much for mixed meat and chips and was told by the lovely lady it's £5.70. I thought it was £5 as I'm sure it was before but I'm mistaken. I had 5.20 in my pocket and really fancied this meal as it had been a long day so as a regular I said could I owe you 50p.... I mean 50p and I was surprised that the owner snapped at me saying I always do this and with the money I'm on at work it's a disgrace. I never ask for freebies normally. Then when I asked how much just donner meat was I was also shocked to hear the reply " just look at the board, can't you see"? Wow I was so took back as tbf I don't want anything for free and will always pay my debts, and I know what most of you will think and say take the right amount of money for food but just this once I was once was short. I did have donner and chips for 4.80 and told him to keep the 20p if hes that hard up. I absolutely cannot believe he spoke like that and totally understand that all food costs money but if I'm earning that much he should know I would bring in the 50p. I'm so took back by this and in all honesty I will not go back as its rude and I suppose rude by myself. If I'm also honest the donner meat was tasteless tonight aswell but they will only say I'm moaning. I wonder if the owner is upset as shops for sale and he's had time wasters and can't sell or books say he earns less than he reckons. Sorry scoffs, u have lovely staff but your attitude stinks. And lost a few friends and family now. Oh well.

Had a lovely pork and stuffing sandwich from here along with a great bag of chips, one of the best chip shops in Bloxwich

Stopped off here today 17/6/20 for two kebabs totaling near enough £10. Chicken was so dry and over cooked it cut the roof of my mouth,nothing fresh about it and the taste was terrible, both went in the bin. My honest review -2☆- AVOID.

This place is average for a chip shop. Don't think they provide battered chips either which is my fave. Would recommend the battered mushrooms though.

Fancied something a little different from whole grain sandwiches so I thought I would try this chip shop. What a delight, amazing chips, friendly staff and I shall be returning when I’m back in the area.

The chips from here are the best, they also do pork and stuffing and all the usual chip shop stuff. I would recommend any one to try here

Serving battered chips and the best Pork sandwiches around this is a positive on a depressing high street. Great service although parking is a bit of a nightmare.

Very friendly staff and manager best chips in walsall very tasty with orange coating. Love the battered mushrooms. I don't eat meat so can't comment for myself but my partner enjoyed the mixed Kebab very much it's a Shame it closes at 9 as I work late and would love to go every week but maybe my waistline is better. Off!! Highly reccomended.

When ever I go in here I'm always greeted with a pleasant smile and good food. What more can I say about a chippy, very pleasent girls and owner and always good food, thanks

Ok. Decent food. Friendly staff except for short lady with short grey hair..was red! Who never smiles and makes you feel like a burden. Top tip try and get in queue to be served by someone else! Reasonable price. Pork sandwiches are amazing!

born and bred in Bloxwich i used to go to the Windsor, then 1 year some guy from Yorkshire opened up scoffs and it is in my recollection the first chip shop to do battered chips in the area. Jan bought out the guy at some point and has been there since then. i must admit i go there more than once a week and find the food and prices very good. i read some of the other reviews and i concur someone has to smile now and then i did laugh as i think i know who they are on about lol. Staff are always polite and helpful to me i aslo would like to see the tikka chicken as someone else pointed out, but space being an issue Jan has to sell whet he believes will make a profit. i personally dont see any bad things with this shop and long may it continue. the kebab meat is the best ive tasted

By far the best fish and chips in the area ..and believe me I love my fish and chips ...the service is excellent and the portions are filling the owner slightly batters his chips which gives them more flavor !!!

Venido aquí desde que puedo recordar, que solía ser mejor, estos días las cosas maltratada como patatas fritas, vieiras son a menudo bastante grasienta pero por lo demás, la comida está llena de sabor. Pollo relleno de sandwich & Salsa + es para morirse y es uno de los pocos lugares que tiene hamburguesas maltratada, que son el favorito de mi novio. De hecho, pide en su zona otros chippies hacer maltratada hamburguesas para él gracias a scoffs

Excellent fish and chips fantastic service eat there every week . Always happy and always willing to supply us with orders for our Quiz nights.

Nice friendly chipshop, who also do rotisserie chicken, always a good choice for takeaway, or they do have a small seating area. The chips and chicken curry in a tray are superb, best ever froma chip shop

I must say the chips here are terrible, the batter they use is just not good and certainly not of me. The saving grace of this place is the pork and stuffing sandwiches which are fabulous

Owners a top guy,top service from the ladies who work there too. foods always lovely and when I go in he always saves me the chicken wings which are really tasty

The fish and chips are some of the best I have had. Generous portions. My wife and I come here quite often and find the staff, who are regulars, very friendly.The service is excellent.I can highly recommend a visit.

Absolutely amazing chips! Been going here for years and will continue to do so, the same faces have worked there too so it's always nice to see the same people. Highly recommend. But I would strongly suggest serving the red chicken tikka meat!

I visited Bloxwich recently with my Mom as we used to live here many years ago. After a morning shopping we decided to have lunch at Scoffs which wasn't there when we lived in Bloxwich. We both had the mini fish and chips with mushy peas and a pot of tea. It was one of the nicest fish and chip meals I've ever had. The batter wasn't too greasy and the chips were crisp and not at all soggy. All very reasonably priced and generous portion size....Mom couldn't eat all hers and we'd had the mini size. Wish we lived nearer as we would visit again.

The chips from Scoffs are the best, whilst they offer the full range of chip shop regulars, for me its the chips that are the stars of the show.At the rear of the chip shop is a small seated area for dining, my favourite is chips mushy peas and gravy, a real treat I assure you.Thinking about it now is tempting me to pop up there right now, lol.

Whenever I come stay up in Walsall we always pay Scoffs a visit, amazing orange chips, so very tasty and make a change considering we don't have them down in Cornwall. Always decent sized portions too, I struggle to finish mine! Had a burger which was perhaps a little disappointing but that may just be me being fussy, I'm not always a fan of burgers. But everything else there is always tasty and well done. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Love coming here and am planning on getting some tonight.

Beautiful orange chips! You even have the option to eat in. Also a meat joint where you can enjoy pork and stuffing sandwiches. Yum!

The workers are all lovely and I've been for about 13 Years, chips are lovely and battered and the food everytime is enjoyable :-)

The chips from Scoffs are some of the best that I`ve had in the Midlands, they are always tasty, unfortunately I am really no fan of Pukka pies and this chip shop like so many mistakenly assumes that everyone does, it would be so nice to have a choice of pies/pasties.
