Italia was a fantastic server, made sure we had everything that we needed, did her table check, and absolute credit to your team, food was so tasty too!

Always a delight coming here, especially on Thursdays for quiz night. Food is always 10/10, so is the atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble for the staff🥰

Went to the Crown for a meal, early evening on Valentines day. Service was good, food was delicious. Everything was as we would expect. What's not to like.

Always excellent service, warm welcome and beautiful food. We often visit the crown as we have twin 3 year old boys that are on the autistic spectrum. They know the environment and the friendly staff which really helps. We also have a dog that suffers with separation anxiety so she always comes with us. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming and really help make our visits smooth and enjoyable 😍. Thank you all so much! It means so much that even with our needs we can have normal family meals out

A lovely evening out at the Crown. We had the Sunday roast, which was good. The restaurant seemed popular, clean and with a nice atmosphere. The staff were lovely. The only challenging point to note was that availability of the Sunday roasts was limited, but luckily none of us outbid what was available.

Warm welcome and able to choose where to sit, we were able to order at the bar easily with no problem , food came out in a good time was obviously freshly cooked and as we’d requested ( gravy on sausage & mash was a little watery ) good portion sizes too Blue Light Card Discount available too -Thankyou

Food was ok, the place wasn't very busy, we was kept waiting a good 15 minutes before we was asked if we wanted to order it also would of been nice to order via the qr code on the table but it wasn't available and after ordering it took a good 40 minutes for the food to arrive..

I had a 30% voucher so thought I would give it a whirl. I have to say the waitresses were all very nice and attentive. Very polite, which sadly is missing in a lot of places these days. The pub was clean and warm. The food was good. All in all a good experience cannot fault. I would go back again.

I visited the Crown today for a wake. It was my first time and I was impressed as soon as I walked into the bar/restaurant. There was a great selection of drinks and friendly staff to greet us. They had cordoned off a section of the pub for the wake guests. The area was spacious and clean. The buffet was fabulous with an array of many different types of sandwiches, on both white and granary bread with ham salad, cheese and onion & tuna and mayo. Chips, chicken wings,pork pies, scotch eggs, hot dogs and so many other items (I've forgotten!). It was all fresh and tasty with bountiful fillings. Tea and coffee and fresh tea on request. There was enough food to feed an army. Service was excellent. Plenty of parking. I would definitely return and would love to try their restaurant menu. Thank you.

Had moms wake here after her funeral the staff were so warm and friendly they put a buffet on for everybody and the food was amazing. The variety and quality was fantastic a big thank you to Dave and his they did mom proud

Attended the wake of my mother in law, the staff were polite, the place was very clean friendly atmosphere and the buffet was superb good variety

I was pleasantly surprised the Crown had been refurbished in à calming decor and my friends thought the same, we enjoyed our meal and served by a pleasant young man, we had a choice of table as the sunlight was very strong, the table we sat at was comfortable but, where we sat was above was the speaker for music which was a bit too loud but we had lovely afternoon.

First visit was yesterday at 6pm Saturday dinner time When first walking in walked to the bar and the barmaid working without saying hello said you're gonna have to wait abit okay, After waiting I then said I would like to order two drinks which she did very promptly and then carried on making an order to another table which another couple walked over and yet again she said to them you're gonna have to wait to be served okay before even saying hello, found this was abit rude even if she's busy and feels pressure to make drinks least you can say is hello. When sat about ten past 6 it took a good half an hour for someone to come over and serve us which we ordered the exact same meal two steaks, no mushrooms as I have an allergy, they didn't tell me the process of how they deal with an allergen process in the kitchen and they also didn't replace the knifes and forks left on the table for me for a freshly washed pair as they're supposed to do. We waited for about 2 hours for our food finally being served at 8:30 not once in this time did someone come over to our table with an update of how long our meals would take or even the option for them to serve us for another drink whilst waiting at our table. The steaks we ordered medium rare which they were quite tough and the fat wasn't quite rendered as it felt spongy and tasted like raw fat and had no crust at all to the fat. Overall quite disappointed

We headed up from Brighton and booked a Christmas dinner for 10 of us. There was a slight mix up over the pre order and this slightly delayed things. However we were fortunate enough to be hosted by a young man named Ryan, wearing a festive jumper. He explained the problem, told us he would rectify it and he certainly did. He was polite, friendly, made us all feel welcome and was a great communicator. An asset to the Crown. Molly was also lovely, so friendly and polite also. Everyone also loved the Christmas menu. Well done to The Crown and the incredible team. We'll be back 😀

Visited here late November 2024 for a family of eight Christmas lunch, pre-booked with a deposit and pre event food order as they requested. Overall, this place has massive interest and potential, but failed miserably. The staff in any venue make it, those that were there on this day did their very best but there were just too few of them. Management are to blame, not the staff in attendance. Service was slow, food wasn't prepared with care and we felt their stress. Marks out of 10……just 4. Sorry guys.

Myself and a few family members recently attended the Crown who were holding a Q&A function for the ex Aston Villa football manager, Brian Little. Included with the ticket price was a curry (chicken tikka masala, Thai or chicken madras) and a pint of beer that was served before the event. Overall, it was a very good night, the curry was tasty, and the speaker was good. Highly recommended.

Six of us visited here today for the first time as a work xmas lunch meal. They had Bingo as an event ran by Dave and it was the first time this event was taken place. We were greeted warmly by Dave and as a family member also attended with a 1year old (who normall becomes unsettled at times) where catered for eg high chair offered. The baby was very settled throughout the time spent there, exploring as well as eaten his ordered meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, with great atmosphere, lovley staff who were courteous and helpful throughout.The Bingo was such fun and when other people attended, it was a lovley gathering....lots of laughter and wins toboot. Meals were hot and easy on the eye and an small issue I has was dealt with promptly and professionally. Not one plate was had left overs. Great value for the money and we all left feeling full and contented. We picked the 2 course meal for £12 with tip added was still great value. Lovley clean and nicely decorated pub and spacious layout. Great event board as well and you can see how community orientated they are with the events that they are having. I am particular when I go out to places especially eating out and would definitely recommend a visit to The Crown. We will be returning especially for the Bingo events on the new year. 😀

It's been a long time since I've eaten at The Crown. We were welcomed as we arrived, the service was quick and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, both the beef and turkey was perfectly cooked and tender. Although we were full we had sweets which were lovely. All at a good price, we'll visit again soon

Was told how good the Sunday dinner was by a work colleague, so I booked a table for 5 pm on Sunday 3 rd November got there at 430 only to be told there was no Sunday dinners left ,I find this very strange you advertise them & when you go for one at a reasonable time you sell out ,I nearly walked out ,but instead was going to order the burger,but was told there was no dip in sauce, so settled on the fish & chips which was quiet nice ,just took the shine off the evening though ,adam clarke cannock

Pub was busy on arrival which was good to see , we were welcomed , greeted & acknowledged by staff who were delivering meals . When available we were taken to our table which was clean , comfortable and stocked with condiments / cutlery & napkins We ordered at the bar - there was a little wait in the queue as staff didnt appear to be confident using till We had starters obviously freshly cooked & hot , and great tasting as usual We then had a fairly long wait for our mains ( roast chicken sunday lunch & steak & ale pie meal) having to ask twice for meals When they arrived all was hot & fresh and they were tasty as usual Drinks were usual excellent quality & taste

Been sitting here now for over 1.30 only just got our food very cold food dry only a couple of staff our food still not no puddings still not got a second drink food very dry not been asked if food ok never again shit show

Friendly staff, nice food with good portion sizes, nice pint of Pedigree.

We had two main meals. The Surf and Turf and I had the Hunters Chicken. Both meals were beautifully cooked and plentiful. My partners steak was perfectly cooked. A half of cider and a lemonade were our drinks.

We only live in Norton Canes and keep receiving offers through our door, we were at a loose end on Saturday and decided to give The Crown a try. We have a fabulous time, all of the staff were so welcoming and friendly and it always sets off a great atmosphere in a restaurant, the staff all seem to really like working there and have excellent customer service. We will be back soon, food was great but we enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. Thank you for a great dinner.

Food was amazing, came piping hot and delivered to our table of many all at same time, no waiting etc. Customer service second to none, very attentive, very friendly and very professional. Prices very reasonable, well worth a visit for a romantic meal of two or for a party celebration like ours.

4.10.24 - We were invited back to see if things could be done properly. I have to say that this evenings experience is much more what we expect from The Crown, and indeed many of the Marstons pubs we've visited. Not only were we seated quickly, but our drink order was taken promptly as well as our subsequent food order. The food was cooked to perfection, and we were looked after so much better this time. Thank you!

At time of arriving there were just two occupied tables and another was occupied after us. Drinks order was taken in a timley manor, i asked for rare steak, i normally have medium rare, the steak that was prezented was medium rare. The bar staff were also the table waiters which explained that no one checked if our food was ok, no one asked if we wanted another drink and no one collected our plates and asked if we wanted a desert (we did check the desert menu and both of us wanted one, thats a £11 sale lost) no one came, i had to go to the bar to pay. Two bar staff, they must have been really skillfull at serving one woman so slowley. Not the service that we experienced before the food prices increased by over £2 an item.....not sure if i will return

Visited the crown for the first time and customer service was excellent from the time we walked in to the time we left. All members of staff were helpful and pleasant. The food was lovely too and really enjoyed our meals. Cannot fault anything.

We had a meal here with family around 5 years ago which was not brilliant and thought we will give it another chance, still the food is not great, very simple food, very golden, no actual colourful foods on any of the plates, unappetising!! This establishment could be an amazing place, with its great location and houses located close by, the pub was empty. Something is definitely wrong with this place. Sorry

Just a flying visit, grabbed a coffee, staff where delightful and managed to make us laugh.

Used the charging pod. Easy access shame about the graffiti on the machine Only one was working too. Update on the pods. Graffiti removed. CCTV signs added. We've eaten here twice now. Reservations are a must for food as it gets really busy at lunchtime. Lovely pub inside. Fully wheelchair accessible. Top food. No issues. Will definitely visit again.

Usually eating at the crown is a very positive experience but not so today. Service was so slow as to be virtually non-existent. Obviously short staffed. Food was good, as is usual but was spoilt by lack of service. Other diners were complaining bitterly. We usually tip well at the crown but left nothing tonight, no tip was earned.

I enjoyed my time here - the staff were friendly, the prices were reasonable and the food came quickly and tasted great. Atmosphere was good, tables weren't too cramped and it was easy to park.

Abysmal food camo peas underdone pie tough steak cheap tasting sausage, food is fairly good for price I still expect a good plate of food and good presentation not different coloured peas and underdone pie and horrible sausage also eggshell in my eggs! Avoid like the plague, chefs obviously inexperienced or just don't care about the food they serve

We had a lovely meal, there were 6 of us, all different orders, the food was very good, service was good too, even though you seemed a little understaffed at times, and the family enjoyed the quiz.
