Bell Inn in Walsall

Food was ok but we are very disappointed to find that we have just received a parking ticket for parking in the pub car park. We did not see any parking signs as we were too busy helping our elderly mother into the pub. When we were shown to our table the server never indicated that this was something we needed to do so very annoyed to have this £60 fine to pay !

Lovely pub, I’ve not been for ages- the staff are excellent and so is the food, really enjoyed the beef rib mac and cheese! Thank you, we will be back!

The Bell catered to a family reunion today. The staff were brilliant and the food was great. I had the Hot and Spicy Chicken burger - but would also recommend the Shepherds Pie which looked great on my sister's plate! P.S. to managment: We sat under the paintings of two birds to the left of the main entrance. We recognised the Eurasian Nuthatch, but could not figure out the other bird, could you post a photo on here so we can try and figure out which bird it is? best, Al

Worst drinks menu I've come across for a while. The red wines were not to my taste; the menu does not advise if any are vegan and the staff were none the wiser. The service was average, there was one half decent lager, spirits did not look inviting and the cocktail menu lacked anything that was not laden with fruit juices etc. The toilets were clean although the toilet roll was just that, not on/in any holder.

Food was ok but you need to input your car registration into an iPad in the pub to avoid being fined for parking. Apparently there are notices in the car park but it was raining on the night we went and rushed inside. We had booked a table but the member of staff who showed us to the table didn’t check to see if we had registered on the iPad. I was sent a letter from Euro Car Parks advising that I hadn’t paid to park so I had to pay £60, which was disappointing and I’m unlikely to visit again

Staff very friendly and helpful. The meal was lovely and we didn't have to wait very long. We were very happy with our visit to the Bell.

Appalling. Do not visit. Accused of buying alcoholic drinks for our 15 year old son...handled abysmally. Food substandard (e.g.sharing nachos used to be sturdy nachos made for the real, now it is half a pack of broken own brand tortilla chips, with token sauce , for £8.29!). ...and to top it off, half way through the meal some workmen start replacing windows next to our table...had to sit with doors wide open next to us...could they not do this work out of hours or ring the section off so that nobody sits there??? Expecting a response but they'll probably avoid that, wouldn't want to actually improve service, would they?

Lovely clean pleasant surroundings, staff very friendly and helpful. I would have give it a 10 but the table we sat at 17 was wonky and kept tilting at the slightest bit of pressure. After messing about with it for 5 minutes we just moved tables luckily there were tables free! Just sort the tables out there is nothing more annoying than a table that moves whilst trying to eat!!

We went for an impromptu family meal, didn’t have to book there were plenty of tables. Great selection for the kids food and perfect portion size! The hunters chicken schnitzel was amazing, really fresh salad with it and good choice of sides to choose from. We used the app to order but all the staff were friendly and helpful with any questions we had etc Will definitely be back!

We met friends who were staying in the holiday inn and this was just down the road. Excellent food and service and very reasonable prices. The pub has a separate bar and eating area. Would highly recommend

Booked a table for Father’s Day had an amazing time, was busy but we was still given amazing service by all staff. Food was lovely and come out really quick even though it was busy will definitely be returning

Thursday night at 7:30 two inexperienced staff on, not a manager to be seen. The queue was out the door. One making porn star martinis which took 20 mins and two attempts to get right , another taking food and drink orders. Carnage!! We only wanted a quick pint. We love this pub but the lack of staff means that service takes an age and tables aren’t cleared. For a popular pub this is shame!

Regular visitors here & never been disappointed....until today. Sunday roasts were so disappointing compared to previous meals... Half roast chicken!! Definitely NOT...small leg to be honest. Vegetables were very over cooked & some were even black. As we were being treated to this lunch felt awkward complaining... Oh well....sure will be back up to standard next visit

Ellie and the team are always so pleasant and friendly. We find the Bell a friendly local and love meeting our friends there .

I must make a special mention to the staff. Tonight Ellie and Bayleigh made us feel really welcome, as, usual and always make time for us even when very busy. They are a credit to any company.

Great service as always from Elle, Alex, Bailey and the rest of the team in the kitchen. Food served and presented well and tasted amazing.

I went for lunch and some drinks around one o’clock with my hubbie. We were seated and right away the waitress came over, Kayleigh. What a lovely and sweet person she was, she was very helpful, explaining the menus options in detail since there were a couple of things missing from it. The food arrived and it was delicious. Great atmosphere all over. Will definitely be coming back.

Such a shame that Ember inns just don’t put more staff on. Staff are always really lovely and polite but are just rushed off their feet. Booked a table but waited ages for drinks and then told food would be at least an hour and lots of things off the menu due to menu changes happening this week. So we left to go elsewhere.

We visited on Monday evening with a friend for a meal. £45 spent on a nice dinner, ruined by both of us receiving £100 car parking fines a couple of weeks later!! The car park and pub were both quiet (it was a Monday), only one staff member on the bar who greeted us as soon as we arrived and took the details of our booking. He didn’t mention anything about the need to register our cars, and no signs that either of us noticed. We have tried to call the pub repeatedly but no answer, I have emailed them and now M&B too as we are both really worried. Be warned, this is so unfair!

Welcoming staff and friendly service. The pub is clean and held a good atmosphere. Ordered the Mac and cheese was lovely.

Great atmosphere, service and food. I keep coming back and it helps that it's only 5 minutes from home. The staff have been very accommodating, I had foot surgery recently and they've ensured I can keep it elevated each time I've dined here over the past month. The staff are also prepared and happy to alter the menu to meet individual needs and taste. I strongly recommend the Bell for a casual or romantic evening out.

We have been before and had one good experience and one not great so we thought we would give it another try. The first thing we had to movecsests 3 times as we always seemed to get right under a ridiculously loud speaker. We found a table and ordered via the QR code. It went ok the drinks arrived quite quickly and so did the food but that’s were the positives declined. Our waitress young women with short punky looking hair was really rude and not a very good listener our food arrived in such a random way 1-mine and the hubbies burger 2-my daughters meal 3- then the knifes and forks 4- then our eldest daughters meal 5-then one side 6-then two more sides At the 1st visit I asked for cutlery !! Red sauce !! a steak knife !!! Mayonnaise and salt all of these trickled through eventually 😡😡😡 So my daughters food were sitting going cold while we waited for her to go and fetch things one at a time and I’m not sure where she was fetching them from but from the point she first fetched food to our table to us having everything we ordered and needed to eat was at least 20 minutes. Our youngest meal was dry and our eldest had the mash it was awful.

Visited last night. The food was amazing. Lots of choice and really fast service considering the place was really busy. Big shout out to Kayleigh and the bar staff. Really friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next visit

We had a great lunch with good friends at the Bell today. Food and drinks were great and they have a good selection of real ales including my favourite Citra.

The meals were mediocre I had a sirloin steak which was tough in that I only managed to eat part of it The hunters chicken was poor and wasn’t really a hunters chicken When paying bill I mentioned to the manager that the steak was tough and inedible and he apologised and asked me for my email Address but I’ve heard nothing However staff were pleasant and efficient

This place never disappoints. The Manager is always courteous and helpful, and his staff so obviously enjoy working there. Sunday lunch was tasty and excellent value for money. We'll worth giving a try. Don't forget to log your car reg. at the bar!

First time visit and we all enjoyed our evening, the staff were all so friendly, especially, Dan! We all ordered something different off the menu and were all happy with our meals. It was very busy but not rowdy, we were served pretty quick and all meals came out together.

Lovely lunch, we had Fish and chips. Which were excellent , all staff were brilliant and very hardworking, especially James on bar. We'll be back.

A great Sunday lunch for a large party. We were delighted with the service as we were a party split over 3 tables. Staff sorted out orders efficiently so many thanks to James, Fraya, Susie, Dan and Ellie.

My friends and I visited the Bell for lunch and this food was exceelent and really good value for money.The pub was really busy and because it was a Friday I booked a table. Considering the pub was really busy the food came really quickly. If you are going on Friday or the weekend I reccommend booking a table in advance.

We went there with a couple of friends and it was so busy that we thought that the service would be so slow. Thankfully our server was a lovely girl, Kayleigh, and she was very helpful with everything. Gave us options about the menu and her cheerful personality made the whole place. The food was excellent even though a bit colder but that was expected with how busy it was. Glad to see the Bell is doing better than it was a few months ago. Keep up the good work

Well from start to finish I would say absolutely dreadful !! My family and I reserved a table, when we arrived we go told your table is over there and they pointed to the table. Ordering food was awful oh sorry we don’t have that we ran out oh sorry that’s not on the menu ! Waited way too long for our food only for it to be cold dry and lack of ! Portions tiny it was a though we had ordered for children Cold plates cold food and tasteless As a party of five adults we all agreed that the visit was a very unpleasant one and will not be returning. One of our party on arriving home was taken poorly with an upset stomach from the food !!

We were staying in the Premier Inn at Great Barr. Visited this pub and had a good meal. We were served very quickly and the quality of the food was good.

Food was spot on arrived quickly. Alex made sure that we felt comfortable all night long. Bar staff are very friendly and had service which was once again quick. I definitely recommend a visit to the bell and will be coming here again.

Visit this pub regularly, always greeted by friendly staff who are willing to help. Food is always good and are willing to adapt for allergies and intolerances.

The friendly pub is convenient to the M5/M6 junction. It's an excellent place to spend a relaxing hour eating to escape the motorway traffic jams .May need to book in advance at busy times
