Scoffers in Hastings

Tried this kebab house last night as it was one on Deliveroo list but nothing special. prices about the same as everywhere else donner meat bit more greasy will stick with KING Kebabs queens road next time there the best by a mile! In Hastings

Very nice food as always, although my order of wings was replaced by a portion of chips, so had double chips. People make mistakes.

The food was overpriced and disgusting. Left me and my partner on the toilet and throwing up. 1st time ordering and will never ever again. Only ordered because of an Uber offer for £10 off and even that didnt fix the awful food quality.

Good portion sizes, good location, mediocre food. They do not have any chairs to sit on while waiting for your food, although the wait isn't long. The pita with humus and salad was good and fresh, but the grilled chicken with fries was dry and had a texture as if it has been left under a heatlamp all afternoon.

Very rarely disappointed, always accommodate to requests, food is good chips are banging

The only place I will order kebabs from! The donner meat, chips and garlic mushrooms are always on point and they always add my extra sauce when requested 👌 thank you scoffers! X

Delivery was speedy, good value for money and the chips where lovely. However the veggie burger I ordered was mushy and had no taste. Also I ordered my burger with salad & garlic sauce but had none. One thing I recommend to this restaurant is to also sell pots of dip to come with your meal. Apart from that I have no notes.

Quick to delivery to coghurst hall holiday park. I have had a lot of take aways in my time and can honestly say best burger and kebab that I have ever had!!! Don't understand all these bad reviews on here. Staff very friendly. Would 100% recommend ordering from here.

Hadn't used Scoffers for a couple of years but its brilliant to know it's still as good as ever. Chicken kebabs are amazing, perfectly cooked with lots of fresh salad. My son had a mixed kebab with steak and chicken and practically hoovered it off the plate.

Me, my mum and nephew ordered from scoffers for our dinner and the food was excellent will definately order from there again.

Just what was needed after Walkers closed. Meat, good. Bread, good. Salad,good. Seats, good. Sauce, good. Nothing like it at 2.30am.

Good food, large portion size, food travelled well, was hot when it arrived, great service, easy to use app.. Will definitely be returning..

Been coming here for years... not sure that will continue, kebabs were tiny, salad only contained loads on onions and hardly any lettuce! Pizza had no tomatoe sauce or purée, the garlic sauce on the kebab could not have been bigger than dessert spoon, kebab meat was dry with far too much gristle! I'd maybe try it again but that's only due to loyalty!

Well, 2 1/2 hour wait for a burger delivery and a totally disinterested twit on the phone....... I'm done with this place, gave them a go, back to Efes for me!!

Dirty food and small portions. I ordered a kebab and burger. The burger was covered in black bits as they obviously never clean the grill let alone the place. Also the bun was soaked in fat. So I didn't eat. The kebab was meant to be a large but was not even as big as a small one from a decent kebab house. I would never go back here and am spreading the word. AVOID

Really great experience all round. Customer service spot on, delivery time fine, food amazing. Had a reg chicken kebab with at least 2 chick breast cooked perfectly. Fresh salad. Can't fault it.

There was 8 pieces of chicken in my large chicken shish kebabb and they wasnt even large chunks . They were flat slices . It cost me £8.50 .. i was honestly still hungry after eating it .. plus the chips came in a small square burger container .. even the salad was a small portion and mainly onion . If your hungry this isnt going to fill you up . My order just for me was a total of £10.40 .... it was like eating a kids meal !

Our go to place for a kebab after a night out. The doner meat and chips is perfect and enough to share, which we usually do, unless particularly hungry. Why get your kebab from anywhere else?

Just what you need after your night out, wouldn’t be complete without a kebab to go home with. Lots of tasty meat, lamb or beef with plenty of salad etc.... love the chips too

The food was disappointing cold greasy I don’t expect to order a takeaway to have to microwave it when it turns up never ordering from here again would normally order from kebab king much better but didn’t deliver to address I was at next time I will wait until home to order from kebab king

there’s no option to have burger no chips. you can’t select what salad you want in your burger. you can’t select what sauce you want on your chips. also if you leave them a message they either don’t bother to read it or can’t read!

Messed up order significantly, I was an inconvenience expecting them to put it right... took nearly an hour to arrive and then (despite not telling me on the phone), I had to take the wrong order out of the bin and give it ack to them... I wonder what they’ll be re-using that food for? Been a customer for 20 years without any complaints... this whole thing was a sham but there are not enough characters for me to write the full. I’m really upset that for all the years I’ve used this business, the one time I have an issue it’s dealt with so badly and now I have huge concerns over the cleanliness of the food I’ve been purchasing.

I have ordered at least12 times in the last 9 months... always the same order, always... a very simple order. I usually use just eat but thought it would be more cost effective for both parties to order directly a couple of times.

Food was delivered at specified time but arrived cold, quality was ok but would’ve appreciated a hot meal as ordered. If I wanted a cold meal, I would’ve prepared a salad from my fridge.

When they read the comments the food is awesome - best in Hastings. But it's really disappointing when they don't. Especially as you can't order pots of sauces.

Waited over an hour for our food from midnight to 1am. The food was disgusting! The Chicken Shish had a very weird, horrible after taste to it, leaving it unedible. The chicken nuggets were cardboard like and the chips were soggy. The cheesy garlic bread had no garlic in it, and tasted like someone had lumped a peice of burger cheese on a plain ciabatta.

Food was delivered on time, was freshly cooked and hot. What more can you ask of a take away. Oh and the delivery man was cheerful and polite.

Order was accepted very late and down for 1 40 am delivery. I phoned to check they said shouldnt have accepted it and couldn't deliver they would reject and we get a refund. They never did this they just put it down as delivered even though it wasn't. Basically stole 12 80. Still trying to get a refund 4 days later

Ordered the steak kebab, the slices of meat were quite tough and the salad was mostly onion just a little bit of lettuce. My daughters pizza was average.

Ordered bacon and cheese quarter pounder with chips. Asked for no sauce, yes to salad. Received mayo cheese burger, no bacon, even asked for salt and vinegar on chips, received none even though it shows it on my receipt! Not calling as I will only get a sorry, BE WARNED

I placed my order for delivery, whilst I was at home. I was expecting it to arrive at 00:30, but at 00.45 it still hadn't arrived, yet Just Eat said it had been delivered. I contacted Scoffers, and they told me that they had tried to deliver it, and that the driver phoned my telephone number when he was outside. I had no call. However, they arranged to re-deliver it ASAP. Meanwhile, I checked that my details on Just Eat were up to date, and they are. The number was my landline, and I was in, so I would have received the call. Not to worry, following my call it arrived quickly, and was pretty decent. I'm sure this was just a hiccup, and won't necessarily happen again. For food delivered this time of night, I am very happy indeed.

Food never turn't up and wasnt given a refund

Had a delivery from them and when it turned up it was luke warm and wrong. When the correct order turned up it was missing the replacement chips. Delivery driver was argumentative on my own doorstep. Unacceptable customer service and their so called apology was an insult!

Well where do i start with this?! We order from her regularly and for a tuesday night where they not normally busy! Our food turned up and we were missing the steak kebab rang the shop and they delivered it as soon as they could however the chicken burger bun was so soggy it fell apart and the salad tasted off and was sour so was un eadable! The chips were near enough black and tasted reheated was like chewing cardboard. Absoloutly vile! When my partner got his kebab his pitta bread was saturated in grease and dripping in fat again very soggy and again uneadable! Our food went straight in the bin! After contacting just eat and them phoning the restaurant we demanded a full refund only to be told that they are sending the driver out to come and collect the food so they can see it before giving us a refund to which i replied unless the driver wants to go through my garbage he is more than welcome! Well after sitting up waiting for over an hour no one showed up! Couldnt contact the shop either! Absoloute disgrace and will not be ordering from here again! Lost a very good customer here! Dont know what happened but sort it out!

I was initially impressed with the speed of the delivery and the kindness of the driver. However, the huge amount of grease which was dripped off of the kebab was enough to put me off - several bites confirmed this. Other products may not be as unedible, but I will now be going elsewhere.

PIzzas were rubbery and inedible as dough wasn't cooked, like no sauce on base, and the regular chicken kebab I got was literally 5 small pieces of flat chicken with a splash of sauce, complete waste of money

came here because it was the only place open at 3am and we were v hungry, and can gladly say it was one of the best pizzas I’ve had, the food was dankkk and will deffo be coming back, staff are friendly and I now know where I’m coming after my nights outs

Sadly today's order was really not nice, chicken burnt too much to be able to have been eaten, pitta was soggy HUGE amount of lettuce and ONE piece of tomato does not surmount to SALAD. Very small ammount of mayonnaise for a large kebab VERY disappointed

Over all I was not completely unsatisfied with my meal. Upon ordering I was estimated a time of 50 minutes until delivery which was quickly adjusted to 60 minutes. The food arrived in 30, however was rather sloppy in presentation. My half pounder with bacon looked almost thrown together with my requested sauce splashed out all over the under side of the box making it very messy to hold the bun. I was displeased with the portion of chips I was given with the meal which looked like a child sized portion or just whatever they could fit in the box next to the burger and they were a little over cooked too.. The burger itself was quite tasty and well cooked once I was able to hold it together in one piece without it slipping out of my hands. Given the food arrived in half the time I was estimated and the state of the food upon arrival I can't help but feel like a MUCH longer estimation was given purely in order to ensure a good delivery review. So it is 5 out of 6 stars for that reason. Either sloppy preparation or poorly cared for transport seriously let this one down for me. I would have preferred to wait the extra 30 if it meant the meal arrived less battered and I had a normal decent portion of chips that you would expect from any burger/grill/restaurant. It was edible and it didn't taste completely terrible but that is all that I can really say... sorry.

Excellent customer service and delivery time! Extensively good menu choice but the food tasted awful, the worst burger ever and i eat burgers from a lot of kebab shops and it’s hard to get a burger wrong but the meat tasted vile, like really cheap and chips were stone cold

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING FOOD. chicken was dry and burger roll was burnt. chips tasted like the the oil was really old. I will never order from here again. only tasted a few mouthfuls and the rest is in the bin.

The food was reasonable, not very impressed due to receiving a child size kabab, after ordering a large, as for also ordering my partner a chicken kabab which look like some shriveled up cardboard with chill, which my partner cant have. And watch pick at her dinner was upsetting as she has problems with eating. The salad tasted like watern and look like slop. As for the pitta bread even the bird wouldnt touch it. The hunmas was nice, i use to impress my friends with scoffs a while but now. Not on the look out for a decent kabab shop.
