Kaspa's Desserts in Hastings

We went for my son’s birthday on a Monday at 7 pm. I had called to book a table but it was very quiet in there (it was Monday!) So plenty of seats to choose from. I asked the staff to put candles in my sons pudding and if everything was on the menu and they said it was and they would. It was service with a smile and everyone was so friendly. Music playing, but not too loud that you couldn’t hear self talk, the staff weren’t constantly at your table asking if everything was okay (just leave me alone and let me eat!), And it was very clean. My son had the best time, the staff even sang happy birthday when they bought the pudding with candles out. A much better experience than the previous time we went (There was a shortage on the menu for some reason, but that was sometime ago!). Very enjoyable food, very reasonably priced and we even found out they also deliver (this could get very expensive!). Thank you for an awesome experience for my son and our family. Visit date 18th of March 2024.

Came here for my birthday, absolutely brilliant. Lovely food, very nice people (they offer a free slice of cake or a milkshake for a birthday). Great experience overall, glad I came! They even were friendly enough to put candles -and light them- in my pudding (waffle) and sing happy birthday when bringing it out. Definitely will come again; and found out they offer delivery. Whilst the actual desserts were lovely, it felt poorly managed. A handwritten sign with cash only, no table service, and a lot of things out of stock.

i ordered a matcha buble tea, what arrived was coloured unflavoured water. very disappointed.

Ordered desert for a nice evening in with my partner just to receive my “hot apple pie with custard” frozen with ice inside and around the slab of apple pie. Waste of my money as Kaspas is on the more expensive side

The staff were helpful but they had little stock left so most things we ordered were unavailable. What we did get was nice

First time visiting here recently. Staff were friendly and helpful. Selection was varied and reasonably priced. Portion size is quite large so for children you would probably be better of a couple sharing one serving. We had a milkshake, waffles and a sundae all of which were delicious.

I want to give them less than one. You can NEVER get through on the phone and when they do pick up lie to you to get you off the phone... They just steal your money and hope you won't do anything about it!! THIS is run by scumbags!!!

Take your money, NEVER answer the phone! And if they do... Lie to you about the order they are never sending and just keep you money and "complete" the order from their end so they can JUST KEEP YOUR MONEY!! absolute SCUMBAGS!!

Clean shop, very friendly, quick and helpful staff. A warning however - if you order any other cake beside chocolate it will not be delivered to you via your food delivery provider. I ordered an £8.99 pistachio milk cake via UberEats… I was not notified or called to be told it was out of stock and was sent a chocolate one (£2.99) instead of it… WILD that this kind of substitution exists - at least price match the missing item?! I spoke with the manager who was lovely and I suggested a substitute for the undelivered cake for the following day. Went and collected it. Handled like a pro. Happy customer.

Staff have good reception, nice environment. But I think they should work on their toilet, I couldn't use it yesterday because it looked like a mess there. But overall, it was 👍👍

The dessert was too sweet, couldn't finish it tho. The staff were polite and helpful. No washroom service was available.

Spoilt for choice when it comes to desserts. Staff were attentive and friendly. It does look a little tired inside, but was very clean and tidy.

How difficult is it to remember 2 puddings, if it was 12, I could maybe understand but when it’s 2, it becomes a joke. Always happens, they forget to do the ice cream. Banoffee dough, comes with banoffee ice cream, bueno dough comes with bueno ice cream. Honestly it’s not difficult!!!!!

Food was good but the place is falling apart, smashed and cracked front windows, dirty toilet with smashed mirror, marks all over the walls and ceilings and floor dirty. Don't think we will go to the Hastings one again unless it's cleaned up.

First impressions. It wasn't very welcoming. We walked in and waited a few minutes to be seated, even though there was only two other people in there and they had already been served. Then when we were seated, we walked past about 6 tables of dirty plates left by previous customers. So I'm guessing the staff are a bit lazy about tidying up. Some of the ingredients weren't available for some of the ice creams, so they had to adapt them. Personally I didn't like the taste of the chocolate bits in the ice cream but my partner enjoyed both of our ice creams 😅

The dessert was good (too sweet for my taste) however the plates were chipped they served the dessert on which is risk of physical contamination. Not only one but both plates they served were chipped.

Awful,cookie dough and waffle were both delivered stone cold and not edible tried to call 10x to complain and never answered aswell as not answering to my report I left on Uber eats

Really disappointed, large group of us were due to go here on Bank holiday Monday opening hours in there window said they would be open from midday never opened and had to take our business elsewhere.

Dirty, no where to sit, couldn’t even find us spoons to use, we’re going to give us used ones !! No service and miserable staff! Not coming here again !

The deserts are great. The staff are pleasant and prices are reasonable.

Don’t order kaspa’s from Hastings, food never arrived, phone number for the restaurant doesn’t work, phone number for just eat doesn’t work, save your money.

Came for an ice cream and was pretty disappointed. Staff weren’t particularly friendly or welcoming and the scoops were absolutely tiny. This wasn’t helped by the fact it just tasted like store bought ice cream which has been frozen for a bit too long… would not recommend.

Awful. I ordered a Hershey's Cooler and my other half ordered a Reese's Cooler. The lady had no idea what we were talking about so I got a menu and pointed out the pictures. We were given pure milk... 🤢 My other half thinks she forgot to blend it? Not quite sure how you'd mess that one up. We would have gone back to complain but had a train to catch.

It was OK.. The ice cream tasted as it had melted and was refroze.

Advertised on compare the meerkat code but couldn't give us 25 per cent of our icecream only had 20 per cent then why advertise on compare the meerkat it's 25 per cent sounds like a con too me Staff were OK didn't notice dirty but I never moved my butt from tye seat too notice banana spilts aren't worth 7.95 a half a ban a some icecream and sauce in a small bowl with wafer sounds pricey

Never been a great fan of waffles but since being forced to order one on my daughter's birthday, I haven't looked back. Got to say their desserts are very very good. Experience slightly spoilt by the poor maintenance of the shop front.

The best place for desserts in town. Always perfect. Love the choice of toppings and the vast menu. This is somewhere for the whole family. Our favourite is simple. The chocca lotta waffle

The ice cream was very tasty but the staff couldn't give a toss the girl that served us behaved like we'd just messed her day up by turning up, management needs to rethink their staff or I can see this place closing before long if it was run properly the place would be packed

The first thing you notice is how run down and dirty it looks from the outside. Then there is a hand written notice saying cash only....stuck to a filthy door. There was no pleasantries from the staff who all appeared sullen and disinterested. We ordered some jugs of water which arrived just before we left and had negotiated two thirds of the choices we made because they had no gelato ice cream... So I wrote and complained....apparently the weather has been too bad to do the windows and the ice cream machine was being serviced....so do come again....no, not ever.

Stock levels were really low making the menu fairly limited. 3 items in our order had to be altered, 1 changed all together. The order came out and all looked lovely. Although, I'd asked for no cream on 1 of the waffles and still got it. Hairs were then found in the banoffee waffle, in the sauce and literally right inside the waffle 🤢 The toilets were absolutely disgusting, so grubby! Everything needs a good scrub. The toilet seat is broken. Overall very disappointing, won't be returning.

Ice cream machine wasn't working,so very limited menu

I cannot fault the food at all .. very yummy and the kids love it but ..... when we went last week 29.01.2022 it took ages to get a seat because the waitress decided to clean 9 tables before seating anyone , girl who served us had multiple love bites on her neck which where on show, not very professional her hair was a mess and looked like she had just rolled out of bed and they have no idea on orders.. ice cream machine wasn't working so had to either have cream or nothing so in all the customer service has gone way down which is a shame as my kids ove it there

Nice deserts, albeit lots unavailable including whippy ice cream (so no sundaes available- major part of their menu) but a really filthy restaurant and toilets. Very disappointing. It is not hard, especially in the last few years, to have a clean premises. I would rather have used the public toilets. We will probably not go back.

Second Kaspas we’ve been too and I don’t think I’ll go to another one. Unfriendly staff, who always get something wrong, filthy toilets and nothing to get excited about desserts…

We visited today for my daughters birthday treat. The restaurant was 5 minutes late opening and when we were seen to our table the waitress did not say a word to us and looked extremely unhappy about us being there. We weren’t told that it was counter service and again when the food was served the waitress did not say a word. The staff all seemed very displeased to be at work and we’re not keen to interact with the customers at all. Such a shame as the waffles we were served were of a good quality. The staff however, did not not make it a quality experience.

Bit of an indulgent treat. We both had sundaes despite the poor weather and they were yum. Nuff said.

Service was so slow. One of the servers was too busy taking selfies. We has to wait for her to finish before being served. Out of 3 staff, only one seemed to actually be working.

I've been going to this place for years now using the app just makes things so much more easier just go in sit down and use the app

Delicious pudding, can't fault the chocolate fudge cake I had! Served warm with cream and absolutely lovely - generous portion too! Reasonably priced for what you get. The cafe had a nice atmosphere and the american diner theme made it a cool setting for a catch up with a friend. Rated 4 stars as would like to see more vegan/dairy free/gluten free options on the menu.

Atrocious. Just ordered this evening from Kaspa’s and this is what has come. A £9.50 sundae turns up under half full and a £9.00 cookie that couldn’t be smaller if it tried! Then when you try contacting them, what a surprise, you can’t get through to anyone! Would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone as lovely as it looks online..

Amazing place great food massive selection friendly helpful staff

The food was delicious. Service was rubbish.

We went in the evening about 6 pm there was nobody in there but the staff, the tableservice and the hygiene were fab! The waffle was hot, ice creams were amazing and the brownie was delicious

This place is amazing for a treat and kids loved it. Good value for money too. Just one criticism would be to turn the heating off in summer.

As we where in Holliday,been here twice in 2 different days, first day we had a good experience, everything went good(been served by the blonde girl). Second day we've been again ordered the same things with different lady(take away) and end up paying double... Didn't realised when I paid, when we opened the bag at the hotel we had like 8 bubbles of ice cream and an extra waffle... we haven't ordered...

I was there yesterday with my daughter. We orders skittles shake and Caribbean smoothly. My smoothly served with smoothly all around the glass and the skittles was just like a glass of ice cream. Nothing like the picture we ordered. My daughter was really sad since she was very excited to get something fancy 😔

Not one member of staff was wearing a mask. Staff had no customer service skills at all. Rude and miserable.

Waffle banoffee. - Waffle was cold, the banana was very hard, must have been green/unripe banana. Toffee also had little flavour. It was not enjoyable. Shake with strawberry cream and coconut ice cream. It was ok but didn't taste of strawberry or coconut, not sure it was something else but had little flavour whatecer it was. Vanilla icecream - it was icecream I wouldm't go again. Nothing had flavour.

No masks! Exit door locked - had to go out the in. People coming in without masks not asked to comply. Downstairs toilet blocked. Food was nice though!

Staff were rude and abrupt. No members of staff were wearing masks even with customer contact and carrying beverages. The girls making deserts were eating off same spoon on show. No hygiene. The tables were dirty.

Really bad service, we waited for almost half an hour to get two ice creams, the queue was getting bigger and bigger and the staff was chatting among themselves. Really really bad, will never come back to this place for ice cream, having so many good ones around.

This is not the first time. I’ve ordered from here but I’m not going to turn down an opportunity to eat (I wish I did ) absolutely disgusting I had a waffle white flakes and fudge . And a milkshake terrible value for money I was drowning in sugar type 3 diabetes now .

Visited Kaspas with my friends today. So shocked and outraged. The young girl who severed us was licking her fingers whilst preparing our food. She had no mask or gloves and on several occasions was spotted licking her hands and fingers when preparing our cookie dough. Hostile, unfriendly and this ruined our day. I’m complaining to head office DONT VISIT UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET POISONED.

Ice creams were lovely. Everything else was very pricy though - shame as I fancied a waffle but £6 seemed a bit steep.

We ordered four sundaes and a chocolate crepe absolutely delious worth the money best ice cream sundae i've ever tasted will definately order from there again.

Just ordered a few takeaway desserts for my kids as a treat. Absolutely beautiful! Ice cream was perfect and everything was fresh beautifully packaged in kaspas boxes and was delivered so fast. I really would recommend. Thankyou.

What a mess this company use Uber Eats to deliver there goods, Last night didn't get my order as driver picked up wrong order from shop and I returned it with him he just signed it as delivered. It then took another hour and a half to get my order asKaspers couldn't help much as it was Ubers fault . Uber app page doesn't work correctly and they don't answer the phone. Kaspers did get a order to me but still not the correct order ordered Custard but got ice cream and the food was just thrown in box and was so small it didn't cover the bottom of the box. Don't bother with this company very expensive and small amounts of food and a high delivery charge. Won't be using them again and have told many people to go somewhere else. Very unhappy . Ray

Awesome Dinner for Desserts and Coffee

We had been looking forward to a visit for a long time, sadly we found the staff uninviting, and being grunted at with regard to how it all worked with the food orders decided with that and the very loud pop music it was not the place for us. Explained why we were leaving and just got a scowl and shrug of the shoulders. If you own this business I'd retrain the staff quickly .the place was almost empty and we would have spent a reasonable amount of cash.

I only go down here as a deliveroo driver however the staff are nice unfortunately I can't try the sweet food im diabetic but when i go down as a driver the staff get orders done quickly staff can be quiet to drivers but i found one that is polite and good is Alex

I visited on Saturday the young boy that was at the counter as you walked in.. DID NOT SMILE.. MUMBLED ABOUT USING MY PHONE FOR THE TRACK APP.. Which I had to ask him 3 times to explain what it was? Then when we ordered the same young boy took our order again without a smile unfortunately they didn't have the after eight sundae.. No alternative was offered just "we havnt any.. No please or thank you.. Very disappointed

Yummy food... Deliver service top notch ... Cookie dough arrived hot and ice cream not melted... Well done ... Defo be back for more.... A little on the expensive side but we'll worth it.

We recently holidayed in Hastings and even though on holiday we tried not to be over indulgent with the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. Kaspa's were the exception, as my teenage boys were in there several times. I have to admit, I cheekily indulged a couple of times. Could be quite a wait as the place did not seem to be well prepared for people waiting and we ended up standing outside in the rain whilst the waiting benches inside were totally empty. Also seemed to have gone a bit over the top with isolation of tables for social distancing - some tables that were adequately spaced had been closed off. But this is a comment not a criticism - I wouldn't criticise any establishment for being overly careful around Covid. The desserts were delicious. The crepes and waffles were well prepared and lots of choice of toppings. Could be a little expensive if paying full price but on the offer was a fantastic treat for the boys. Try the strawberry indulgence crepe - it's heavenly !!

Not really impressed.. I didn't know one can go wrong with a crepe.. I have never eaten such a chewy crepe in my life. Tasted like it was done, frozen and then reheated in a microwave.. not sure how it was prepared but that is exactly how it tasted. I only add one more star because strawberries and chocolate were nice. Otherwise, I would give this place 3 stars.

Finally finished a hot fudge sundae on my 4th attempt (not the same day) great staff, great sweet treats.

Tasty waffle, the ice cream too sweet for my taste, however, I interacted with 4 members of the staff, 3 of them seemed like they did not want to be working there, not very nice...had to ask for a glass of water 3 times....not sure if I care enough now to go back, there's a place next to new look that sells crepes much nicer and better value!

What's happened to the portion sizes. Paid £8 for a normal cookie I could buy in greggs waited nearly an hour

Been to this place half a dozen times now it’s okay but nothing to do with the Americans Caspers ice creams which is home-made ice cream , not just a cheep mr Whippy machine and a bit of sauce looks good about it , some flavours on display which some of them do taste a bit what they betrayed to be , but hey at least it’s clean and they make an effort with the ingredients that they have at least,

It's worst place.customer service is very bad.they treat customers like that we are not paying for food.the one guy thiny he is always rude with me . He does not even how to make milkshake it's so annoying this shop we not going anymore worst behaviour

Crepes & waffles were great, as always, but the floor was wet, with no sign, & as it is black I didn't see it was wet. I slipped. I asked the female staff member if she had a wet floor sign but she just looked vacantly at me. I asked again but she still looked blankly, so I asked for a sign that says wet floor? She mumbled something & walked off to get one. When I then asked the male staff member for the accident book, he asked her where it was & she grumbled that 'it's just people innit', which was heard by my two friends. At no point have i been apologised to, or asked if I was ok. I completed the accident book myself. The male member of staff has been as helpful as he could be, but does appear to have training needs, if he didn't know where to find the accident book. It's a pity the girl appeared so rude, as we could have had a much more enjoyable visit for our friends birthday.

Awful, the tables were dirty, when I took my daughter to the toilet it was disgusting. I asked if there was another toilet I was told it was out of order. Not great considering hygiene should be at the top of the list in a restaurant.

For that price, I would expect better quality and tastier food. At the same time, the staff could be more friendly. Otherwise, an original interior and a varied offer.
