Dellas Chicken in Hastings

The chicken was very delicious, and the staff was friendly. The prices were reasonable. I highly recommend them.

I wouldn't recommend, these have gone down hill so much since changing ownership, I brought 2 pcs of chicken don't get wrong was nice but very dry and also got 3 hotwings , that was pink in the inside ans still looking bloody, I went back to the shop from him to tell me that is the seasoning,, they are ment to look like that and then he took a fresh one and broke it and it was the same as the one i got given !! he refused me a refund.... bloody rude staff , let hope someone don't get food Poisoning

Last time I go there in London road!! Asked for a deluxe burger meal and on opening the chicken was not much bigger than a nugget the hash brown was disgusting and the service wasn’t welcoming and I had a feeling because I was white I got less!! As I said will not be mugged off by them and their over priced nugget in a bun

guys the food used to be lovely it was the best chicken shop to go to but since yesterday i changed my mind dont get me wrong it tasted nice but next day i was vomiting and been i pain since then mustve been food poisoning i dont know but i dont recommend going there no more

The chips were re-fried just to heat them which made them hard over fried pieces of fat and the chicken was dry and barely edible with the skin being dark brown hard. Tried their fillet burger, chips and nuggets all were quite reasonable at a reasonable price, it was a blessing to see a halal takeaway in this area.

Cheap, tasty and hot chicken. Staff very friendly. Other clientele were a bit shady which ruined the atmosphere and the decor needs updating.

Best chicken fillet burger meal and chicken I’ve ever tasted. Freshly cooked from the fryer and wasn’t fatty at all you couldn’t taste any oil from the fryer make sure to come and check dellas chicken out in Hastings East Sussex it was very enjoyable

Great halal chicken and chips. The chicken burger was freshly made and the wings had brilliant crispiness. Size and portions were good value for money too. Service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommend.

We used to love Dellas, the previous owner was lovely, courteous etc, and knew how to cook proper, tasty chicken. Since he has sold the business, the chicken has gone down hill, also the customer service. It doesn't taste anything like it used to, is overcooked, to the point of possibly breaking your teeth, and when we order 3 x 6 chicken strips, and receive just three bits of chicken in each box, but get charged the full price, you know its time to move on. Shame, as Dellas used to be the best chicken shop around.

There's one lady working and she's a racist!! I am a key worker and I went to order a food after work, I was extremely tired. I waited in a long queue, but that was fine, in front of me were English people, they've ordered food and everything was ok. But when I went to order Meal 2, that woman didn't reply to my hello and pretended that she didn't understand me!! I asked again: Meal 2 please and she just ignored me!! It was absolutely unbelievable!!!!! Some of my foreign friends used to go there, but when that woman started to work there, they stopped ordering from Dellas chicken, because she was racist to them too!! The worst thing, that where's no where, where you could complaint about her behaviour!! I will never go there again!!

I'd lived in SLQ for about 3-4 years before going to Dellas as I've had some bad experiences with Kentucky Fake Chicken clones before. Well, the good news is that this one is great with tasty Chicken, Chips and all other sundries. The Manager seems like a really nice guy as do the rest of the staff. I've always had a pleasant experience there and after about 6 months of going there, I'm finally giving them the praise they deserve. Edit. 7 months after my initial review I'm still really enjoying Dellas. THe owner is a real gent, they have really nice staff and the food great. 10/10 would stuff my face again.

Only halal fried chicken option locally and glad to have it! Wings are generally good. Burgers aren’t bad either. Worth a look for those cheat days. Not too expensive and service is good. Accepts card which is a bonus.

Not exactly service with a smile here but you get what you pay for... In my case I paid for some really dry chicken!

Had 9 hot wings could only eat about 2 they smelt horrible and the bread skin on the chicken was so hard and horrible

The best chicken and chip shop I have ever eaten from. Exceptionally clean and tidy. Very happy cheerful and helpful staff. Even when very busy which is when I was there.

Dellas is a no nonsense, straight forward takeaway. Friendly staff, great chicken and fries. Meal deals galore. The location is a bit tricky if you're driving to collect. It does exactly what a takeaway should.... Make great takeaway.

Just been down to Dellas Chicken to pick up an order! Half of which was missing... my Mum tried calling them to ask where our order was, explained what had happened and was put on the phone to someone else and had to repeat the conversation. She said she wanted the rest of our order and that it should be delivered to us. We were told they don’t deliver and that we’d have to collect the rest of our order, meaning our food would be cold. We ate what we had and went down to get the rest of it, to which I was told “the woman on the phone was rude” to which I was disgusted, calling my Mum, a paying customer, rude! After paying for a food service at high prices that we had to collect, to get it wrong and then have to collect the rest of it, to have my Mum called rude, is unacceptable! And then to be only offered an extra three wings and a can of Pepsi! Disgraceful! And I think I speak for my whole family when I say I disagree with the packaging...

I waited for what seemed like ages for someone to take my order, Two or 3 guys were sitting at the rear chatting, eventually one guy came and asked for my order - then he answered the phone. While having a conversation on the phone he started to put my order together. He then put the box next to the fryer for the chips but did not add any. He then went rummaging under the counter, still on the phone, ignoring me. Then another guy came from a side door and asked for my order. I told him this guy was multi tasking and trying to complete my order. The new guy then took the box from the fryer, put it in a bag and asked for the cash, I asked are the chips in the bag, he looked and said no. Mr multi task screwed up the order, did not make any fresh chips, and walked away, still on the phone. I gave up, told Mr new guy I didn't want cold chicken with no chips and left. KFC for me me now on, never going back, recommend you go elsewhere...

On one of "those" days in a working week, I'll treat myself to Dellas Chicken (I'm supposed to be on a diet...) Staff are friendly, the choice is excellent (considering it's all chicken) and the place is always clean. Food is cooked to order, and fast, and is, in my opinion, far, far better than a certain "Southern General".

Normally when I order food here it's great but lately the standards have gone write down I ordered 6 wings and got 5 and a chicken strip that's not what I ordered Okay so I let that slide but to find out the wings are red raw is just outrageous what if you gave them to a pregnant lady!!!?!????!!!! Then I speak to the bloke he tells me chicken all cooks differently ? Yeah I understand that but don't you need to cook it to find out !!!!!!!!!!!

There delivery driver is aggressive and will lie and lie to you to try and force you to tip him, he will say he has been outside for ages and he had to use his phone to ring you and that dallas dont pay for his phone so you need to tip him, completely awful service especially as I Watched him get out of the car and he said he been there 20 minutes, on top of that the food is awful avoid at all costs

Yes sounds weird but if you are going there with a chicken eater and you don't eat meat then this is vital as KFC don't do vegetarian do they! Tasty and nice at a good price with friendly staff and open until 23:00 so well worth going to here

This is better value and serves better portions than KFC and is local and friendlier and well worth the money especially the burgers - even the vegetarian burgers Definitely recommended - give it a try as you won't be disappointed - Enjoy

The chicken is not halal, and their ribs are pork. The Hmc does'nt have this business registered with them, so they might be getting chicken from ireland, where the horse meat epidemic broke out over halal meats and horse meat. The workers are immigrants from rawalpindi or singh.

8/8 They should change their name from Dellas Chicken to Delicious Chicken! I know of no other fine establishment like this place. Other fried chicken shops be aware. These guys are a real game changer.

Ordered 2 x chicken burgers and was sent grilled chicken in a bun... this seems to be the same in other takeaways around Hastings Grilled chicken in a burger bap... Also 2 x apple pies was burnt and very oily.

Can't comment on the quality of the chicken, but the snack of chips was horrible. Flaccid and tasteless with the texture of Styrofoam. Never again, even when desperate for chips.

Order from here often and the food is normally fantastic and hot but a couple of times it has taken ages to arrive and been cold, I complained and the situation has always been rectified and I still order from here and there hasn't been any mistakes since.

First of all Della's has a 5 rating for hygiene so the previous reviewers are incorrect when stating that this is not so.The Staff and the manager here cannot be more helpful and friendly, with the quality of the food being the best in town for a chicken shop I had the vegetable burger which as usual was very goodDefinitely Recommended - open until 23:00

We had enjoyed cinema in Hastings and nothing opened on way home at 11pm and we suddenly remembered this gem. We ordered the chicken strips and delish with a salad, chips and drink and all for £5.99! Best chicken ever! And the owner is friendly and chatty and highly recommended

Ordered take away from here twice as decided to give them the benefit of the doubt! Wrong decision again as we ended up with poor stomach's! Not impressed to say the least.We have later discovered that Della's Chicken has a poor hand hygiene rating! This is just one of the take away's and restaurants in Hastings! The list is huge to our amazement!Would not recommend here

This Chicken Shop is usually open until 23:00 and is next door to a Pizza Shop of the same name.The staff are friendly and the Chicken portions are much better than most Chicken shops - with special offers on the windows outside - a chicken fillet burger and chips can cost less than £2:50.Good quality Chicken and Good Size Chicken Portions - ask for Breast instead of Leg.Their vegetable burgers are also very good and very tasty.You can sit in to eat in addition to the take - away service.Both this Della's and the one next door have both scored the Top Marks of a 5 for its food hygiene rating which is excellent for a take away shop in most places.Recommended - Enjoy
