Scarborough Hill Country Inn in North Norfolk

A lovely stay with our family (14 of us - aged 2 to 69) enjoyed the tasty breakfasts. Some in the inn bedrooms and rest in the Tack cottage which gave us a great place to play games together in the evening. A good location for us to travel to Bewilderwood and for a cruise down the Broads. Super weekend!

Very easy and professional to book in with, whilst retaining a humanity oft lacking in city or chain hotels. The room was well appointed, and immaculately clean. If you get the chance, ask about the chainsaw sculptures made by one of the staff; hard to pick a favourite, his work or the hotel... would reccommend staying here.

I’m so disappointed by the way this hotel staff candice in fact handles bookings. I booked a room through Airbnb to which I had confirmation I drove over three hours to get there I was told to be there after 3 pm I arrived at 3.15 pm on arrival there was no one in reception I rang the bell and no one came then I realised on the wall a phone number which I called I was told I was in room 4 and that the keys are in a whicker basket on the reception desk but it was empty she then apologised said she’d call me back in 5 minutes i then got a call from a different lady stating that the room had been double booked I was in the middle of nowhere with my dog I was so distraught as I only had a certain budget not to mention she didn’t want to cancel the booking and ignored calls from Airbnb I sat in that car park for 3 hours as Airbnb said I’ve paid for the room they need to try and get me in it was raining and I’d had enough in the end I ended up having to drive back home 3 and a half hours wasted petrol ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing time turned out really upsetting and out of pocket so thank you candice and Scarborough hill country inn for totally ruining my holiday and I still haven’t received my refund what a joke also I had to to give a star to be able to post this review they deserve 0 stars.

Stayed for 1 night in the Lady Hamilton Suite with our dog. Good points. Nice grounds and gardens to walk around. The bedroom and bathroom were nicely decorated. Tea and coffee facilities Amenities provided for our dog Bad points/room for improvement Various things around the hotel and room need updating and repairing. Toilet roll holder and shelf in the shower were hanging off the wall The breakfast was buffet and very average would pref table service for a 9 room B&B coffee wasn't very good. However, the most disappointing point was the lack of any water pressure in the bathroom. The shower was a drizzle, same for the basin and bath. When explained to the owners, we felt this wasn't the first time they had heard this. However, we were offered the charge for our dog removed, which was a nice gesture.

We called in when passing for some lunch, and we were pleasantly surprised such a lovely setting, place & lovely owners. Lovely food & very good value. We will be back. Thank you, and I wish you all the best. Helen & Rod Brown

Bad owners who fraudulently take money from your account. Very dangerous stairs for older people. Breakfast an obstacle course from one room to another. Area has nothing. Bad experience.

Stayed here the night before for a wedding in the area. The room was well kept and fully equipped. The breakfast was outstanding and the two ladies serving were helpful and friendly. Couldn't recommend more!

The staff were wonderful and the room was so comfy. The grounds are beautiful. Breakfast had something for everyone. Will definitely go again.
