What an amazing concept.The pub was taken over by a charity with all profits going to local community work. The beer was good,as was the food.Good luck!!

Just popped in for a couple of beers friendly staff and atmosphere

Good to see this old pub thriving again, certainly worth a visit.

Visited for the monthly open mic night. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and a sausage roll which melted in your mouth and a goid ping of Wherry. Will visit again to try the full menu.

Haven't tried the food yet but lovely pub. Enjoyed a peaceful drink.

The food here is so good! Very friendly staff, clean pub and would definitely reccomend coming here.

Very friendly had a ploughman's which was tasty just needed butter. And possibly choice of cheese. Scotch egg was excellent. Will visit again

Joe cooks and serves as well as being landlord and hub of the pub, Georgie, Victoria, Sheridan, Harry, Jonquil and Tanetia are exemplary but individual bar staff plus Barbara and Sheila voluntarily in the wings as well as new addition Euan in the kitchen have totally reinvented the place. Definitely worth a visit.

This is a not for profit pub to put money into the local theatre group. Lovely staff good selection of drinks and I hope it continues to be a big part of the community.

Homely and a good selection of beers

Newly re-opened after a few years mismanaged & run down. The current management aim to provide a not-for-profit community resource. Good beers, snacks & open for coffee during the day. Planned music events and theatre events in the 'rooms' outbuilding. It will be interesting to see how it develops over the next few months

It's a public house. Nothing more or less. Bar staff polite. Only 2 tables occupied with 2 people on each table. Nothing more to add really!

Looks good after the latest refurbishment. The food items on offer looked appetising and the coffee was excellent too.

Didn't eat here but would definitely give it a try next time. Really friendly atmosphere and nice to sit and chat over a drink in here.

Popped Into The Black Swan Last Week Manage To Get A Lift From A Friend So Could Only Have A Couple Of Beers 🍻 Unfortunately, Would Liked To Have Stayed Longer. The Stella Was Well Presented, Was Nice To See Darren The Landlord, Will Definitely Be Back ! Good Selection Of Ales And Beers 🍻

We had a drink some only had tea and coffee the lady behind the bar had to make 3 cups of tea,as their was a problem with the milk she made sure our dog had fresh water well done 👏

Great place good staff and great beer

Went there today for bite to eat, I had Ham sandwich which came with a side salad and a side of chips, my wife had a Jacket Spud with tuna and cheese, side salad. I haven't had chips that good for many a year, Just like my Mum's. Can't fault the portion size 👏all for £11.50 Thank you

Small town... usual folk in same settings ..bit like American werewolf in London style pub...when you enter everyone stops to look at you...aside that it has a pool table a TV playing music from different eras and some funky inhabitants ,

How you got this i don't know. I have not frequented this establishment. I have only been in the White Swan PH.

Lovely Sunday lunch, but would not have been so enjoyable if someone had been playing pool, we did ask for the TV to be turned down. Food was good, Barmaid was so busy, rushed off her feet, she was brilliant.

Popped in here to see if they were showing the football....it was a clean well kept pub with friendly staff ...and customers who all made us visitors to the area very welcome ...would highly recommend it here ....dog friendly too👍

Unpretentious drinkers pub. Clean and welcoming. Track and trace observed. Nice pint of Ghost Ship. No other real ales on at the time.

One of the most grubbiest pubs I've ever been in. Went to a pool tournament which took place in the function room. It was really badly decorated, there was feaces and blood on the wall of the ladies toilet and the sink was filthy. The bar in the main pub was splattered with filth at the bottom near everyone's legs which I my friend and I noticed on our way in. The food provided luckily was bought in from a local takeaway and we put on our own music via a Bluetooth speaker after grudgingly being given a chance to use it by a member of the opposite team that played the same song about 5 times. At the end of the night after the tournament we had a friendly game and were told to leave (before 11:30) as they were closing. This place could definitely be improved somewhat.
