I tried one of the classic cinnamon beans and one of the custard ones All of them were not good and it seemed to me that they were not fresh because the dough was dry...until anyone cared for it

Cinnamon bun review: average portion £3 the tase is bland ,nothing special really 🤔.

Finally some decent dark rye bread somewhere. Swedish topped with egg, salmon, herring, etc. Very tasty. Otherwise there are still many Swedish products in the market in the basement. Service and ambience was ok to good. The location is very central next to many other restaurants and cafes.

Really delicious open sandwiches & salads- perfect for a quick office lunch or meeting. The open sandwiches are the best, if you like rye bread, and the perfect amount- a bargain if you take them away too. Veggie, meat & fish options. The salad & sandwich deal is also great value, just beware, the salads can make the rye bread pretty soggy & disintegrate if you are travelling back to the office far as they’re all boxed together.

Good food but nothing tell you if is counter or table service. There was a short queue at one order point when there was a young lady at a second empty one making no attempt to serve anyone. Not bad for London prices.

Lovely Swedish place to eat and to shop for Swedish specialties.

I ordered 5 cake boxes, and instead of packing them properly, they squeezed all of them into a single small carton. As expected, the packaging burst during delivery. When I raised a complaint, their only solution was to compensate for one damaged cake box. Extremely disappointing experience. I will never order from them again.

I really like Scandinavian food, it’s so fresh, seasonal and reasonably priced. We went to Scandinavian Kitchen last Wednesday, it was busy, but we loved both the food and the coffee. The café has a warm, welcoming vibe and a great selection of Nordic groceries, too. My favorite dish is the Swedish meatballs, they were perfectly seasoned and tender. It’s such a comforting, classic Scandinavian meal that really hit the spot.

I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered food online and the seller kindly added ice to the package, I liked the service and price, I recommend it.

Very delicious food, unique menu. Downstairs is a lovely little shop with an offering of Scandinavian groceries. Staff friendly and attentive. Sandwich was DIVINE.

Have been coming to scandi kitchen for years now! They now have scandinavian candy pick and mix, GAME CHANGER specially for salty licorice lovers. Don’t miss the filter coffee, cinnamon buns and open faced sandwiches. Have hardly ever been to a cafe with such consistency and quality for over 6 years now!!

Has a really good selection of pick and mix! If you are a liquorice lover this is the place to come!

What a nice, easy place to have lunch. Great food. The open sandwiches aren’t big, but they’re lovely, and enough. Meatballs with salad was tremendous. Went once for lunch on a London visit, then went back again the next day. Visit the shop, too. Small, but all the stuff you need. Thanks.

I have been here many years before, when there was completely different layout to the whole shop. Now there is a seating in the back and a shop downstairs. I have not given this five stars, Due to quite an unfriendly set up as you walk into the shop. it is difficult to see all that is on offer through the glass and by looking at some of the food you’re at the front of the queue and in the way of other people and feel rushed. The staff are fine but you feel you are in their way by looking at the produce. Seating seems quite uncomfortable, with little stools here and there. There is a toilet downstairs which is very clean and good. I have given the food 1 star due to quite extortionate prices. This is not Sweden… I think £4.50 for Semla in London is £1 overpriced at least.

Excellent value for money and good coffee spot for brunch or to meet a friend. Food was good - Open sandwiches and salads were delicious and fairly good value for money in Central London. - Meatballs were tasty and good value. Feedback would be to work on the gravy sauce since it needs a bit more. Filter coffee was good value for money and with unlimited refills for £3, difficult to beat Went on a Sunday afternoon and was able to get a seat but can be busy. Decent

as a London Swede, I appreciate this place so much! makes me feel very much at home <3 it’s so nice to have a place with good-quality fresh scandinavian food, i am always so intrigued by the counter of open sandwiches, and the delightful selection of bakes goods. also if you go, you should definitely check out their store downstairs for a variety of scandinavian snacks and food. thank you for keeping me stocked up on falukorv <3 the staff are also incredibly sweet and helpful! i recently tried their classic semla, which was quite fine, unfortunately the bun was a bit dry and lacked cardamom flavour, and i thought there was not nearly enough almond paste. however, i also tried the kanelbulle-semla from my friend and it was a bit better, softer and flavourful. still could’ve had more cinnamon in my opinion. i’m very picky though because i’m Swedish :). the filter coffee gets a strong approval though, it was spectacularly brewed :). would love to return and try their other things some day!

As a Dane this shop is a blessing and the best place to enable my liquorice addiction! They also serve amazing drinks and I wish I could spend all my time and money there

Great options, good coffee. Though they are definitely made by the variety and taste of their open sandwiches (and salads) which are amazing all super fresh and full of flavour. Nice interior though sometimes it is harder to get a table.

This delectable cinnamon bun has become my preferred sweet treat. I prefer getting it to-go because it gets quite busy and sometimes hard to find a table.

Thrilled to visit after buying online numerous times! The food was so fresh, tasty and generous and staff really friendly and relaxed. Also there were so many delicious looking options. It's a small cosy place with nice decor and the little shop with all the goodies was lovely to see in the flesh, so to speak!

I like this place, used to pop there for lunch where I was working nearby. Whoever’s writing the fun messages on the board outside, please don’t stop!! The staff here are friendly and the food and coffee is good - my fave is the veggie meatballs and mash! Downstairs there is also a cute little shop selling scandi goods.

Love this authentic scandinavian cafe/ shop. At the top they sell coffee and pastries and at the bottom they have groceries. I think they have soy milk and other plant based alternstives as far as I remember. Pretty nice cinnamon rolls according to my friends but not much glutenfree stuff.

beautiful atmosphere, i went with my aunt at 15h00 or so, wasn’t too busy. Hot chocolate was delicious and service was good

Always a favorite destination when I am in the west end

Very crowded, I use a roller and it was very hard to get in couldn't get a seat. Staff was blasé and not very helpful. Went downstairs to the shop bit, took me 5 minutes to get down the stairs (not a chance to get to the shop bit if you're in a wheelchair). I won't be back, definitely not worth the trip from Manchester...

Visited this place so many times because this is probably the only place in central London with a big choice of authentic Nordic food! The supermarket downstairs has a lot of Nordic candies (famous brands like Maribou, Fazer, and Freia), jams, frozen meats and bread. They are mostly from Sweden/Norway, but they also have some Finnish stuff (such as Long Drinks!). This is definitely a place that gives me Nordic nostalgia! Their open sandwiches from the cafe are the best (especially the salmon one), and the prices are great as well

Really good coffee, and pastries; fine selection of open sandwiches. Downstairs you will find an excellent selection of Scandinavian foods. The staff are very friendly - special praise for Freya who was super helpful.

Love the cafe . Open sandwiches , salads, and cakes. Don't forget to try the cinnamon buns. After you had a hot drink and something to eat, it is time to go downstairs to buy sweets or food to take home.

Enjoyed some tasty meatballs and yummy cakes here this week. Probably nothing could be done about this, but tables are very close together so not much space to put clothes in the winter.

I miss going to Sweden so coming here is the next best thing :)

Fantastic coffee - sadly the worst Semla in London. Underbaked bun, small compared to competitors, barely any cardamom in the bun, nor almondmass (mandelmassa) inside the Semla. Shame as its a great spot other wise! I recommend Fabrique or Bageriet for a Fettisdags treat instead.

Nosotros (colegas de trabajo) hemos venido aquí TODOS los lunes para albóndigas vegetarianas T / A durante casi 2 años. Hoy se quedó esperando mucho tiempo (15 minutos) después de ordenar, comprobar la disponibilidad si opción vegetariana y pagar! ¡Para que me preguntaran si me gustaría algo más en su lugar ya que se habían agotado! El miembro del personal no se disculpó y diría que en realidad fue grosero (no se avergonzó de su nombre)! Se le dijo que esperara otros 6 minutos para obtener 2 porciones de vegetales m / bolas como se ordenó originalmente. Puede que no vuelva el próximo lunes. Vergüenza 😕

Pedí bocadillos de su tienda en línea y fue una primera experiencia perfecta! Tienen una gran variedad de regaliz de Alemania y otros países que pueden ser difíciles de encontrar. Los artículos fueron embalados cuidadosamente, enviados y entregados muy rápidamente. Personalmente no tuve ningún problema con la elección del mensajero Evri y creo que esto depende de su código postal y conductores en su área en lugar de la tienda. Recomendaría ScandiKitchen y volveré a comprar, una vez que nos hayamos comido todo nuestro regaliz : D

I've only ordered online but the products are fantastic. Particularly love the Cinnamon buns – Kanelbullar!!!

I like this place. It's different, it's convenient, it's friendly and it's good value. Unfortunately, yesterday wasn't so great. The table we sat at hadn't been cleaned so I got a wet tissue and wiped up the stickiness myself. When our coffees were brought, one was slopped extensively in the saucer. The waitress also dripped milk on my leg. The straw we'd requested didn't arrive. There were a lot of flies around, presumably something to do with the dying plants near us. Some rather passive-aggressive notices on the wall request 'no laptops at busy times'. Not very welcoming. And we were reminded sharpish that 'we'll be closing in five minutes'. However, the coffee was great, the food is always tasty and the seating is welcoming. They are also the only place I know that sells packets of 'Spunk'. The above criticisms are minor; they can be easily addressed. And I'm sure they will be.

Visited the shop in the basement which sells quirky Scandinavian goods ...

I liked the place outside, cozy street, but I think inside needs improvement as there wasn’t enough space to move at some point. Luckily the weather was good enough to sit on the lovely bench outside and to enjoy Scandinavian. I would suggest to visit early, as at 2 pm on Sunday they were already out of some menu positions. Downstairs there’s a small store where you can get anything you like. I definitely liked service and the taste of food. Probably will visit again.

As a Dane, then it was nice to see that there were some good option for rugbrød. We have ordered online from their store before, but it was excellent to see the selection live and get some good old Danish things.

My husband placed an order for Christmas. They delivered the wrong item. Dragging their feet and providing absolutely awful customer service. The shop is now closed for Christmas, so we can't even order the correct items. They're demanding we send the items back and wouldn't provide us a refund or a resolution to their own mess up. Nevermind that they might then re-sell the item that was in our possession - how do you know it's safe? Can't believe the attitude towards their customers.

I have received my very first home delivery, as I lived in Denmark for many years, there is oh so much i have missed and now I have found Skandikitchen, my delivery was fast and well packed I was well impressed so much I'm placing another order today, i would strongly recommend glaedelig Jul

We came on a rainy day to try some Scandinavian products. They have the cafe upstairs and a shop on the lower ground floor or Scandinavian goods. The place has a few tables but it is not huge. The staff was a bit random, didn't clean the table properly or in time they would sort of ghost you but overall the experience was ok

This is a gem! Absolutely delicious food & coffee. Perfect chew to the bread, crunch in the pickled onion, fennel, creamy mayo & egg and Atlantic salmon to top it off. Don't miss out. Oh and the cinnamon roll won't disappoint either!

Love coming here! Delicious food and drinks to remind me of Scandinavia, and although small, the music and staff help to capture the hygge vibe. My favourite part is the shop downstairs! Pick and mix sweets, seasonal treats, and cultural delicacies all available. I could spend ages just browsing.

Great cafe and shop! Love their veggie meatballs- they look and taste like the real thing and come with nice mash, gravy and jam. I always come here every time I'm in London to take some interesting Scandi snacks back home.

As ever, lovely visit to Scandi Kitchen and grocery store for lunch and food shop. Open sandwiches and cinnamon buns were the order of the day, with good coffee. Shame they don't have skolebolle more regularly. Can get very busy at lunch time with many folk having takeaways. Luckily we got there about 12noon.

I was excited to visit for coffee and cake yesterday - Saturday. Everything looked beautiful - especially the open sandwiches. I ordered a slice of banana cake for my husband and a slice of Princess torta for me. We ordered a tea and a filter coffee. I totally appreciate that it was Saturday and busy but my cake was served on a hot plate so the cream was melting and thrown in the side. This cake is one of the classics so should have been treated as such. Our food and drinks were literally dumped on the table! My coffee was stone cold. We were disappointed. We however had travelled to purchase from the shop in person rather than online and we were delighted with the selection. Lots of my childhood favourites. At all times, the staff were lovely and could do with a little more support at very busy times/days to make the experience better for everyone.

As a Scandinavian myself who grew it eating Swedish meatballs, I unfortunately have to say that these “meatballs” are the worst I’ve ever tasted. No seasoning, tasted awful, looked like they were boiled and just not appetizing. The mash was drowning in gravy, making everything soggy. Please change recipe to something that resembles actual Swedish meatballs :( We both had to leave without finishing our food. The staff was friendly and nice restaurant layout.

As a swede in england, this made me feel at home!! Great service! Even a norwigean speaking member of staff, so many good things on the menu and even a grocery store with just scandinavian products! Will definitely recommend and come back 😊

Bonito ambiente encantador, música suave para comida suave, saludable y genuina con una amplia variedad de sándwiches abiertos y ensaladas para maridar. ¡Recomienda el café filtrado escandinavo! Una sorpresa te espera abajo con una tienda oculta secreta donde encontrarás una variedad de dulces, quesos y comida en conserva. Tuvimos un desayuno encantador, lleno, una prueba de sus ensaladas diarias y 3 de sus bocadillos abiertos. A pesar del precio que encuentro un poco exagerado, ya que es literalmente medio sandwish por 5 libras cada uno, al menos me gustaría encontrar un poco más de sabor, sin embargo, esto no agrega un impacto negativo en mi experiencia. El personal es todo señoras encantadoras, sonrientes y elegantemente hacen sus tareas a medida que pasa el tiempo y uno realmente disfruta de la estancia.

Used to love coming here, now I find the crockery, glasses, toilet facilities are dirty and the service is not as friendly and organised. Had porridge this morning and it was tasteless and cold, coffee lukewarm…

Good coffee and good area to go with laptops and do some work. They even have food to go or to have in.
