Food was incredible! Such a beautiful place!

I make a special trip there every time I'm in London and also use the online shop regularly.

Literal theives with no morals. Placed an order for delivery to a buisness PO box. Only Royal Mail can deliver to a PO box...so of course they sent it via a courier instead of querying or rejecting the order, then blamed me for their compounding ineptitude. Not even a single apology for their mistake. These people are crooks who will refuse you a refund because they are beyond incompetent at what they do. Avoid at all costs.

Lovely fresh & different selection of foods.

Fast service, unpretentious environment and food. Top quality and healthy dishes. I managed to get a seat during a busy lunchtime and left feeling very satisfied.

Placed a late order of Marabou which I didn't expect to arrive in time for Easter, but amazingly it arrived the next day. Perfect! I was very impressed and very happy. I will order from here again. Thank you!

If you're in the area, avoid all the chains and head here - you won't be disappointed, and don't forget your pick and mix from downstairs! Love this place, the food is amazing, it's hard to find open sandwiches this good outside Scandinavia and when it's Semla season I've not found better! The little grocery section is great for picking up some hard to find bits and the Swedish pick and mix is normally a great selection, as are the big selection of bagged sweets. But, the really amazing thing are the people who work here, it's always a cheery service but with a nice bit of chat.

Quick stopover here, I got a coffee and cinnamon roll. Both very good! Love the vibes here, very peaceful and love the decorations! Will be coming here again!

On a busy Sunday afternoon the Scandinavian Kitchen is still a great treat. The friendly staff and a range of good quality food is just what the doctor ordered when you need a touch of hygge in your life. Enjoy.

Took them 17 minutes to serve 2 cups of coffee, claiming they were busy. Unorganised is what they meant.

Tidy Scandinavian food shop in the basement where I picked up some tasty items for the fridge. Good choice of herring and crispbread if that is your thing. Coffee, open sandwiches, cakes etc are in the Scando style and are tasty.

One of my favourite cafes. Great open top sandwiches, delicipus cakes & pastries, and good coffee. Cute cosy cafe, staff are always lovely and great having the shop to buy my Danish food!

The carrot cake was absolutely delicious! Open sandwiches looked very tempting and fresh, and the location makes it a great place to stop by while walking around Central :)

Cinnamon bun is great, but that weird saffron-pistachio semla bun is awful. Inedible.

We haven't visited the cafe yet, but we do order online shopping. I have managed to mess up both orders so far and the staff have gone above and beyond, to re send to my new address and add items onto my order that I forgot, nowhere else gives such good service. The food is well packed and kept fresh, good variety, we have had great fun sending salted spunk and plops to our English friends. My partner loves the scandi sausages. I love the cherrysauce. Our child loves the frazer chocolate, we also recommend the cinnemon buns, we are always excited for our Scanndi order. Highly recommended.

Shockingly bad service and responsiveness . On 3 occasions we had problems with online deliveries, and we constantly had to chase for answers and resolutions. They either don’t come back or provide irrelevant solutions and not helpful responses.

Finnish candies and other produce downstairs and reasonably prices. They got even lonkero!! Great!

Incredible selection of Scandinavian groceries. Came on Semla Day "fettisdagen", and damn those were some good semlas. Spot on Swedish interior with all the art work and decor, really had me missing home. Giving 4/5, because the staff just seemed like they were absolutely hating life, miserable service.

Do not buy anything online from them! Their customer service is awful. I ordered some chocolates from them and they arrived completely broken into several pieces. Their attitude was you should have collected them instore, if you did not want them broken.

I've been coming here for years and generally love the food/atmosphere. It pains me to say that I left feeling disgruntled today after finding the service quite rude! Edit 2: I understand it may have been busy during the day but I came towards closing when it was not busy. Like the previous poster, I am referencing one particular staff with dark hair and I think a nose piercing. She rolled her eyes at me when I asked for a bag and shoved it towards me in a hostile way after payment (happened to be all meat products which makes me wonder if there was an another motive for such rudeness). Nonetheless, it was totally unacceptable on even a busy day!

I'm afraid I have to echo the comments of the previous poster. I love the Scandi Kitchen and have been coming here for years, but our visit yesterday was pretty much ruined by the rudeness of one staff member (dark hair) on the till in the afternoon. She even had a sarcastic comment for my husband when she forgot the milk for his tea. The other staff members were lovely, and the Semla buns fab as always.

Really really good open sandwiches! great balance of flavours, breads are great textures and very flavourful. I'm usually a dill hater but these sandwiches use it so perfectly it had me craving more the next day. Love cake also really delicious too!

Apart from a shop in Tavistock (Devon) its the only place you can get Brown Cheese. Always pop in if visiting the concrete metropolis. Coffee to drink in wasnt bad either

Really cool cafe with seating on ground floor with shop in basement. Delicious Scandinavian hot and cold food, coffee and cakes, friendly welcoming staff. Busy at weekends, be prepared to wait for a seat (staff will keep am eye out for spaces becoming available for you

Fantastic customer service from Emma, recently placed a order on line and for some reason it altered the delivery day for delivery, after sending a email Emma managed to quickly respond and to turn the delivery around to the original urgent delivery I needed. Really impressed and happy to have used this company

A little bit of scandi away from home ❤️

Staff were great in helping me find the cookbook I needed for a Christmas Gift. When I was here earlier in the year some the food was good, though some items were sold out (salmon). However, what we ordered instead was very tasty.

We just love this place. Getting a taste of Denmark when we haven't visited there for a while. Our treat when we come into London. Beautiful open sandwiches (little works of art on your plate that taste as good as they look) and a great shop for all your Scandinavian treats. I come from Finland and finding a nice scandi spot has been a real struggle for me. Their filter coffee and open sandwiches are super yummy. The kahvi ja pulla on the cup is a nice touch. Also their pulla is really good (but we all know pulla in Finland tastes so much better )

Went for a late breakfast / early lunch, great selection of open sandwiches. Couldn't resist the cinnamon bun - lovely with a cup of tea.

Cute. Love the store downstairs. The Cafe is warm and cosy. The food in itself is not exactly complex nor highly technical (dare I say, just a step above Ikea level), which doesnt do justice to the Nordic gastronomy, but it's nice enough for its price point. Worth a visit if you from the North beyond the wall and missing home.

Little gem of a store that is well worth the visit especially around Christmas. They have a great selection of traditional Scandinavian and Norse Food and the famous Tuborg Christmas Beer! Well worth the trip and the cafe on the ground floor is a great little place for a treat with the weather getting cold! As close to the Scandi and Nordic countries you can get without leaving London!

Best place to explore new cuisine, authentic little shop in the basement. Great menu, fast service. Atmosphere is amazing.

This place sells great food, the little shop is lovely. Sometimes hard to find a free table though! Toilet is in the basement so not wheelchair accessible.

I keep coming back for the open faced sandwiches. They are super healthy yet really comforting and filling at the same time. Every one I tried has been excellent but my favourites are the beet with herring, and the chicken curry. Considering they have fresh ingredients and are super healthy, it's a really great workday lunch option. I also love the store downstairs and the nice seating area in the back.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this cosy cafe. I found some of my favorite items and enjoyed the authentic taste. Very friendly staff, for sure this will be added to my favorite places in London

An edited review: I've ordered Christmas food through them a couple of years, sometimes through Ocado. This year I placed an order which was delivered with one wrong - but important - item. I was first told by customer service (who were difficult to reach) that their policy is to not reship, I would have to come to the shop for an exchange. I was hugely disappointed by this. In the end, the owner called me personally and discussed the best option, which was an exchange by courier a week later. She was wonderfully compassionate, understanding and flexible. I hope they will review how they respond to similar cases in the future, but all in all I'm very happy with the outcome, and will be coming back.

Best tasting open sandwiches and excellent value considering the quality.

My wife and I visited on Sunday AM. The street has a number of mid to high range cafes but the Scandinavian Kitchen stands out with great casual Nordic lunch options and coffee. It also has a great specialty shop downstairs. It can get crowded but that's a testimony to the popularity. Very family friendly as when we were there 60% of the tables were parents and children.

Nice little place to have a cup of coffee (which was delicious btw) and a cinnamon roll. There's a little shop with Scandinavian products downstairs but the selection isn't wide and prices are very high. 250g of brunost costs 7 pounds, that's insane. Staff was nice. Loved the Hugh Grant cushion.

I have only ordered from ScandiKitchen, but will definitely be planning a trip to eat there! If you’re looking to buy Scandinavian groceries this is definitely the place. I am so impressed with the care and detail put into packaging my groceries. The items that need to be refrigerated are wrapped carefully with iced packs and delivered in a cooling truck. It’s got plenty of wrapping and packaging to keep the food in place for the journey, and a hand written note of thanks. Love this service, will continue to order!

I buy Scandinavian food online. Very wide selection. It's not cheap but a great place to order every now and again.

Really enjoyed our food. We use 'The Scandi Kitchen' cookery book all the time so calling in was inevitable whilst we were in London.

This was a super find! Fun with the Scandinavian shop downstairs. My coffee was really nice, not too strong and a very pretty mug and saucer. Will definitely be back.

Good as a stopping point during a hot day's walking in the West End. Food and drink OK (open sandwiches with a Danish theme, and good cold drinks). Queues to find a table/space, and crowded eating areas made this a slightly fraught experience. Little sign of hygge..

As a swede is was a little disappointed with the Coffee here. And The fika was not so good either. But the scandinavian store downstairs was Great.

You can't miss out on the excellent coffee & Kanelbulle (Cinnamon bun). And we love stocking up on our favourite Swedish treats in the shop.

Love this little store in central London, it’s a little piece of home. I do wish that they had a proper (big) pick and mix section as opposed to handpicked and packaged sweets.

The open topped sandwiches and filter coffee are as good, if not better, than what I had in Sweden. The meatballs and mash are great with the pickled cucumber and salad. Really tasty and wholesome meal for a good price. I’ve used their online shop as well and it’s always been a smooth experience.

Usually I buy via their website as I live up north, but I had the opportunity to visit IRL and I'm so happy I did. The open-faced sandwich and potato salad were both really tasty and tasted like they do back home in Denmark. Also popped by their grocery section and bought a few goodies and a nice tote bag. Similar to other visitors I found the queueing system a bit disorganised and confusing but staff were very friendly and helpful. ScandiKitchen is the best 🎊

I was nearby before noon on a Friday and was looking for a quick bite. The big S word caught my attention and I very much felt like I could have a little fika. The feeling of hygge when I walked in. The open top sandwich was delicious as was the chai latte.
