Superb food, really good homemade pizza, great views of the canal. The service is friendly and efficient without being intrusive.

Nice Italian café (actually run by Italians!) on the canal bridge in Little Venice. The special: • Glass roof and glazed all around, i.e. great view of the canal and the houseboats • Flanked by trees, so partly nice and shady • All glass panes can be opened • Stone oven pizza and selected Italian drinks, e.g. San Pellegrino lemonade, Prosecco. • Small but fine breakfast and lunch/dinner menu Disadvantage: you can't just stay for coffee!

Stunning location with a deep sun spot to let in all the light. Lovely Italian food served by incredibly friendly staff who were so friendly and amendable considering we came at a busy time without a booking. Would advise booking! Food came quickly and was lovely and fresh Would recommend and will come again!

Lovely place, lovely desserts, lovely staff and a great unique view. I came across this Cafe randomly when walking around Little Venice. I had a quick look at Maps as it usually helps me a lot to find new cool places I once I saw the view that it offered to its customers, I was forced to go there. We had amazing desserts, all the servers were super nice to us and the view is outwordly. This cafe is located suspended at the end of a river and you can see the whole river, a brigde and look at nice houses around the area. 100% recommended if around the area, and if not around the area, I'd recommend visiting Cafe Laville and then seeing everything else. There are very little places like this one here in London.

When you don't yet know if you will eat here, you can't sit outside or even near the terrace. People with no reservation that enter later can sit outside. But when people that came after us and only ordered coffee, were allowed on the terrace you know it is really bad.

A lovely and very busy restaurant providing very good quality food. The breakfast was excellent and we were looked after ably by the serving staff. Parking would be a challenge although I guess most of the clients were locals. I would recommend booking as it was buzzing and very busy.

Walking towards the Little Venice area of Maida Vale, noticed this cafe sitting right at the top of the canal. Couldn't resist stopping in. All the tables in the cafe have a wonderful view down the canal - absolutely gorgeous location. What a great find! The staff here is lovely. We ordered lemon-ginger tea, but it seemed red!?! The lovely young woman serving us confirmed it was lemon-ginger but explained the herbal tea company puts flowers in their blend and offered to change it if we liked. Desserts here are wonderful, made by the cafe, and the gentleman working the counter let us know their pastas are also made in house. Definitely returning!

Lovely spot for lunch, over the canal. The staff were very attentive and the food was lovely. We had a mixture of pasta, escalopes and burger, all nicely prepared and served. Will come back in summer when we can sit with the doors open.

I'm very fussy about pizzas so was relieved at ours being so delicious. Friendly service and attentive despite it being a packed lunchtime. A tad pricier than I'd normally pay, but it has a fantastic location overlooking the canal towards Little Venice, and the pizza was very, very good.

It's cute but cosy. Located right exactly on th Regent's canal makes it interesting place to have coffee or bites

Overpriced. Food quality not as expected. The only pros is the canal view. Overcrowded tables and I feel rather packed. Staff collected the plates once I finished the cake and they want the table back for next customers. I ordered MilleFiller (costing £8) but the pastry isn’t freshly made but rather looks like ready to use pastry from tesco.

Food was okey, service was good low staff but attentive and accommodating. Very busy on weekends, we went on a Sunday, 4 of us, and happy to have done a reservation. The prawns in white wine and pomodoro sauce was delicious but arrived warm not hot. Apart from little things the service was great and the views amazing. Would revisit and recommend.

The reception was excellent, and if you want to sit near the window overlooking the canal, it is preferable to book by phone or go to them in person.. The reservation website is not active.

Very rude man serving in the restaurant, rushing me to order and shouting at his colleague for leaving my AirPods behind for me when I forgot them. I try to explain it’s not the lady’s fault so he walks away while I am speaking to him. First time going there and never back with this attitude.

Really sad pizza. Tomato sauce had no flavour and the veggies (mushroom, aubergine, onions) weren’t salted/herbed either… they even left out the garlic. Then there’s the base, over baked so ended up being like really thin, brittle toast. Should have trusted my instincts when they wanted to charge extra for substituting courgette for mushroom. TOURIST TRAP.

Nice folks at Cafe Laville had kept a lovely window seat for us as we had made a booking for 4. The view is really nice. The salad, bruschetta pizza and Homemade Tiramisu were really good. We enjoyed our time there. The food is generally good, although the pizza turned out to be a bit soggy and difficult to cut. The spaghetti pasta was undercooked the first time(they made it better and served again). P.S: It is quite busy and louder than expected. The location makes it worth the visit.

My husband and I visited here after a walk around the nearby canal looking for a bite, and came across this place overlooking it. Though very busy, the atmosphere inside was great, and the staff were incredibly accomodating despite the lunch rush. The food was great and warming, and the apple pie that topped it off was incredible. Cannot reccommend enough.

**Scenic Views, Service Missteps** So, cafe laville sits right by the canal, offering killer views through its massive windows. The place is gorgeous, no doubt about it. But here's the deal—the staff? Not exactly winning any awards for friendliness. You'd think a place with such a gorgeous view would have staff beaming with enthusiasm, right? Nope. The vibe is more like they're doing you a favor by being there. And get this: I spotted the waitress talking on the phone while serving guests (probably to take a reservation). But hey its worth for the view if you can get a table next to the window by luck or avoid disappointment and reserve a table 😉 Not sure how the food was as i only had a coffee, but the ambiance is top-notch. But if they could just dial up the friendliness factor a bit, maybe smile a bit more.

Very fresh ingredients that were full of flavour and a crispy thin crust. 🏠 The restaurant is placed on the bridge of the canal, so the longitudinal view is quite something. It's well decorated with Venitian 🎭 masks and other Italian paintings.The space is quite cosy, maybe too cosy, you're standing very close to other people's tables. 💸💰the average price of the pizza is around £17. A main course with a drink plus service charge makes it around £24/ per person

Beautiful location overlooking the canal, comfortable surroundings, and varied menu. Disappointed by the Italian-sounding desserts, that bear no resemblance or taste to the real ones!

Had a great experience at this Italian cafe in Little Venice. The service staff were super friendly, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The canal view adds a picturesque touch to the ambience. It was a bummer that all the primo tables up front with the best view were taken. Still, the vibe was fantastic, so probably will be coming back again. Plus, the cake was legit delicious 🌟

It is a fun restaurant and a happy one and one in which the range and quality of food is strong - but atmosphere on two nights I’ve been here of late was absent in sense that it was empty feeling - only 3 covers at 7pm-ish

What a beautiful view of the canal, plus the coffee is top quality!

I think that the chef is not the same as a couple of months ago. We ordered 2x eggs benedict, and the holandez sos was very sour. We could tasty the lime only. On the other hand the omelet with mushrooms and sausage had only mushrooms. We paid £73 and we were very disappointed.

Lovely spot by the canal with very tasty pizzas and a great range of alternatives. Loved the china tea sets too. I imagine it could get very busy and quite noisy.

Found this restaurant thanks to a London guide Instagram and decided to check it out. It was definitely a good decision. The carbonara was great, the staff were nice and the views are lovely. I loved the vibe. Definitely coming back!

Lovely spot over the canal for a spot of brunch

Mon mari avait noté ce restaurant sur son parcours. Quand on a vu l’extérieur qui fait vraiment brasserie, on était déçu mais on y est allé. Le repas était excellent. J’ai pris saumon, mon mari une pizza très bonne et mon fils un burger. Franchement n’hésitez pas à entrer c’est très bon et très prisé car nous avons pu avoir une place sans réserver mais nous sommes arrivés très tôt et après c’était plein de clients habituels.

I can highly recommend the papadelle and Tuscan sausage.

Don’t trust everything you see on Instagram.. the view is okay if the weather is nice but the food is meh..

Very nice, great pizza, a bit crowded, good value for your food, and amazing view (if you are sat on the tables next to the window, maybe up to the 2nd row, on the terrace. I recommend to book in advance, especially on weekends, and remember to mention to be sat next to the window for a great view of the channel.

Me & my boyfriend were looking for a nice romantic spot in London and this was so lovely! Amazing view & the coffee and cake was so nice. The waiter replaced our spilt coffee free of charge which we really appreciated too! Will definitely go again :)

This is such a lovely location, even better if you get a window seat ... But it's bright and light and has a lovely atmosphere. The service was excellent very prompt ...it is primarily an Italian restaurant but does do an English breakfast, my other half said it was the tastiest he had eaten ... There were a few other breakfast type things and then mainly pasta and pizza. Coffees were lovely and served hot not warm, really nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here for brunch and wouldn't hesitate in coming back for dinner

Had a relaxing brunch while watching the boats on the canal. View was a 10/10, fairly quiet when we arrived around 1130am, by lunchtime it was packed. Even learned what a dry cappuccino was!

سبق لي زيارة هذا الكوفي قبل 4 سنوات مع العائلة وكان طلبي بيض ومليت بدون لحم ولكن حصل خطاء وكان مع البيض لحم (لم اتذمر) وكنت ارمي اللحم من البيض في صحن فاضي فلاحظ ذلك صاحب الكوفي وهو الذي كان يعد الطعام فعمل طبق جديد وقدمة لي وعتذر عن الخطاء ورفض اخذ ثمن الصحن الجديد رغم اصراري ، فله كل الشكر .

The best thing about Cafe LaVille is the view. It sits literally over the canal. The food is good. We had gnocchi and bolognese. Take a stroll along the canal after your visit.

Was here for breakfast. A lovely little place sitting over the canal in Maida Vale ("Little Venice"). Location makes you feel like you're in Amsterdam. Good hearty breakfast, chippy service, killer view.

Amazing place in Little Venice! If you want a table in front with the best view then try to book in advance! We had tea and it was around 2.60£ for a pot, sooo worth it!

I took my mum here for her birthday last Saturday, and although the location and views are lovely, I’m sad to say that the service leaves a lot to be desired. In fact disgraceful. Firstly we were 3 people and squeezed on to a table meant for 2 meaning the plates of food and drinks could hardly fit and were hanging off the table. Secondly, both the table next to us and ourselves asked the staff to shut the door as it was a cold evening and even when the people who were sitting on the balcony left, they plain refused to shut the door. Both ourselves and the other table who were sitting right next to the door leading to the balcony were freezing and shivering. The excuse the female staff member gave me was that the table was in the way, but I said can’t you move the table slightly please so you can shut the door because we are all really cold, but she said no. To top it all off, my poor mum has had a really bad cold and cough all week because of this, and it can easily turn in to pneumonia when someone has a weak chest, regardless of age. When the other table asked to have the door shut, the manager guy said “no, it’s summer”, very patronising and how rude. We are absolutely disgusted at the disregard and disrespect for their customers well-being. They should have been closing the door of their own accord and putting heaters on for their customers as it was very cold. If you are looking for a restaurant with good food, good service, and any sort of customer care then don’t come here. The food was not good either, and one of the pizzas was cold, the cheese wasn’t even melted on it! I would make way better food than this at home, and it’s too expensive for what it is. What ashame, as it’s such a beautiful location too, although the view isn’t visable at night time due to a lack of lighting. All in all, a terrible experience.

I did not eat nor drink here… however, we were exploring the canal, walking from Regent Park to Notting Hill… … this place is just above the canal with a fantastic view. One of the nicest spot I’ve seen to chill out. But we were in s rush… I will highly recommend to stop by to any friends walking along the canal…

I booked a table to avoid them not having space for us and the service from start to finish was excellent. The food was freshly made and tasted great, definitely recommend this cafe. The view over the canal was spectacular and we visited on a warm sunny evening.

Staff very polite and welcoming. Food served beautifully and tasted so yummy. Portions beyond generous. The place itself lovely layout. Unfortunately doesn't cater for babies or children as in highchairs or ramps for pushchair. Staff helped to monuvere the pushchair in and out.

The only good thing about the restaurant is the view. The service is terrible, the waiter was rude, stressed out and letting it out on customers. The food was ok, the omelette was completely overcooked and flavourless. The took the order for the table (I was last), and then he ripped off the menu from my hand, I said I have not ordered yet and he said he already had everyone's order. Then he counted the orders and realised he missed 1. When I asked if he could recommend something without gluten, he said "nothing", which wasn't true.

What a little gem of a place, unassuming from the outside but great on the inside. Lovely, airy dining room with great view down the centre of the canal ( especially if you get balcony table) Always wanted to go and heard good things, finally got round to visit for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, food was great , very reasonably priced , served quickly and with a smile . Will definitely be going back, it’s not a huge place so I imagine it’s probably worth booking for the evening.

Stopped at this Cafe for some lunch on the way to watch cricket at Lords so as you can imagine it was very busy. Asked the staff if it was possible to accommodate us (family of 4) and was told it may be a 10 minute wait due to being full but definitely could once another couple of diners left. Decided to wait as almost all restaurants in London there is going to be a wait on a Sunday lunchtime! Staff were really nice and ended up putting two sets of tables together in a space right on the edge of the balcony and opened up some shuttered doors for us to make some space. Service was really prompt, and food came out quickly. It's not going to be fine dining so don't expect that, but pizzas were really nice, authentic and not too pricey (for London) either. Pasta was really good too. It's obviously very popular and also very busy because of its location so yes the staff are under some pressure to turnover tables, but some of the comments on here about poor service are maybe a bit unfair in consideration of this and our experience was otherwise.
