The food is really good. Satay is super amazing, Kari Laksa is the best if you like noodle soup, it’s a bit sweet from the coconut also a bit spicy, it’s just about right. I will definitely come back again.

Friendly place with really good service. Food was generally good and reasonably authentic with some things better than others. Roti canai was a bit dried out but good flavor and fish kari sauce was nice. Char kway teow was good but not as good as the better places. Lacked a bit of the wok hei and cockles would have brought more flavor out. Lamb rendang was good though.

Came here after years whilst in London and it was still as good. Authentic Malaysian cuisine. Lovely, intimate and elegant restaurant with wooden decor. Nice ambience. There is upstairs and downstairs seating. Clean. I had the Nasi Lemak which comprised steamed coconut rice served with prawn sambal, cucumber, peanuts, fried anchovies and a boiled egg. It was delicious. Good portion size for one and very spicy. Only order this if you can take spice. Lovely. You had the spice of the sambal with the sweetness of the coconut. A freshly made and beautifully presented dish almost like I was back in Malaysia. Staff are friendly and pleasant. Efficient service. Reasonably priced given location.

Todas las mesas estaban llenas en un entorno bastante espartano y podemos entender por qué porque si viviera en la localidad no haría esta reseña porque me gustaría ser un habitual allí! Los cinco pasamos por gran parte del menú y cada plato era excelente y recompramos nuestra experiencia de vacaciones en Malasia El servicio era inteligente y amable una buena combinación. This place was so overrated. Food was extremely bland, lacked seasoning and spice. Noodles were ok.The curry portion was tiny and presented in a deep plate and not nearly enough to finish off the rice or share. Had to dump Soy sauce on everything to give it flavour and the chilli oil wasn't mildly spicy. Poor value for money. We felt rushed and staff came in to clear a plate as soon as you pit your fork down. Would not return or recommend.

Not many Malaysian restaurants in London can do a decent mee goreng. Their curry laksa is also good, as is their rendang. Nasi lemak was a bit hit and miss. Prices are average for a Central London eatery

Despite my initial high expectations, my recent dining experience at this establishment was profoundly disappointing. The seafood and meat noodles were both underwhelming. The meat was excessively tough, while the noodles were dry and devoid of any discernible flavor. When we politely requested that the meat noodles be removed from our bill, the staff responded in an uncomfortable and unpleasant manner, inquiring if we wanted to have them removed from the total. We had anticipated that they would either decline to charge us or offer us an alternative gesture of goodwill, rather than making us feel uncomfortable about having to make such a request. Consequently, we were left feeling unsatisfied and regretful of the money we had spent. Overall, this experience was highly disappointing, and I will not be returning to this establishment in the future. - [ ]

Absolutely delicious meal. Food was brilliant, very friendly service. Only downside was the price - quite expensive - our meal was £30 per head without alcohol. Portion sizes were pretty good though.

Came here for dinner. Delicious food and generous portions. I didn’t give it 5 stars as the staff wouldn’t leave us alone to chat and eat. They would buzz over every 5-10 minutes to ask if Ethel food is OK, if we would like something else, to collect my friend’s plates when I was still eating— which is technically rude as then I was left eating alone— some tact and training is needed. The place was not full, there were other free tables and it was not late or close to closing, so there was no reason for such tactless persistence.

As wonderful the food was, downstairs was dingy and univiting. I had made the point of booking well in advance, yet all of the tables upstairs were occupied. What is the point of booking?

We returned for a second visit during our London stay, as once was not enough to indulge in the incredible flavours. The staff's warm hospitality and attentiveness made our dining experience truly special. The generous food portions and diverse menu options catering to my favorite dishes made it a culinary haven. Our starter, chicken satay, was a masterclass in flavors, paired with peanut sauce, cucumber, red onion, and rice cubes. The mains – Curry Chicken, Beef Rendang, and Bihun Goreng – were expertly crafted and presented. The dessert, Pisang Goreng and Ice-cream, was a sweet and satisfying conclusion to our meal. Each dish was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to authentic Malaysian cuisine. Booking in advance is highly recommended, as we were lucky to secure a table on our first visit. I eagerly look forward to returning to this gastronomic gem on my next London visit.

Decided to try some place different for lunch, and let me tell you, AMAZING, the place was so clean that you could eat off the floor (but don't obviously 😉)! I had the beef and rice dish just amazing. The beef was literally falling apart and was very flavoursome. It's 7am at the moment and I am getting hungry just thinking about it. Will ve going back soon.

I picked this restaurant purely based on location, and am very glad I did. From the moment we walked through the door, staff were very attentive, explaining the menu, soliciting our tastes and making recommendations The food was absolutely amazing Certainly one to return to, although I would advise booking, as every seat was taken.

Visited this place on a Saturday for lunch (booked a table just an hour in advance). What caught my eye is despite being a tiny place it was very clean and tidy . The pace at which food was served was excellent. Didn’t have to wait too long for the food at all. The dishes that stood out were the fried chicken wings which was called the Ayam bawang putih and the roti canai with chicken sauce. The nasigoreng was a bit of a let down interms of taste. Overall a decent experience!

The food here is authentic, delicious and served by very charming staff. We were celebrating a very large birthday and they made it really special. The beef rendang is simply divine. Highly recommend this place for a happy taste of Malaysia.

Came for the chicken satay, which were brilliant, like home made Malay food. But blown away by the Mee soup with prawns. Was outstanding, tasty and nutritious!!! And huge portion. Wow, one of the best restaurants! So many tastes! Chicken wings are fantastic, go for the banana desert. Satay is tasty too, also the chicken in milk. Everything was soo tasty

These guys manage to get it right every time. Hadn’t been here in about 5 years. Went back and got the fish curry with aubergine once again - and I still believe it is the best fish curry I’ve ever had. If you can handle spicy food, don’t miss this. Their vegetarian Nasi Goreng Sayam was also fantastic. So was the satay chicken (especially the peanut sauce with it - yum!). If you still have room and like a nice strong cup of (sweet) coffee - get the Kopi with condensed milk. It was almost like a dessert :)

Unprofessional young 3 waitresses. Instead of focusing on customers, the waitresses spent their time chatting amongst themselves, completely ignoring the needs of the patrons. They spent a significant portion of their shift laughing loudly and disrupting the dining environment. Their lack of attentiveness and the constant, loud conversations made a frustrating dining experience. Never will be dining here again.

As you may see from my other reviews, I travel a lot for business, so am fortunate enough to eat in a lot of very nice restaurants. This small unobtrusive restaurant near to Paddington is now in my top 2 restaurants in London! Really worth the trip out of the centre of London. Ramzi was an amazing host who gave perfect recommendations. I can happily recommend my menu. Satay Ayam Bawang Putih Bee Hoon Goreng Sagu Gula Melaka I recommend to book in advance, as it is very popular.

We had a reservation for 5. Service was very slow and the people who came in after us got served before us. The food was low quality and did not meet our expectations.

We had great food & also 2 bottles of wine and 4 beers between 6 of us. Food and wine were good but when the bill came they had charged us for 3 bottles of wine instead of 2 (and there was a 10% service charge!) If I had not checked my bill, I would have overpaid by about 15%.

We went for a festive family dinner. We shared starters & roti, & each had a main dish. The food was excellent. Staff were friendly. We had 4 beers & 2 bottles of wine between 6 of us, & when the bill came, we had been charged for 3 bottles of wine, & not 2. Obviously, when I pointed this out they “corrected” the bill. Although food was good, I shall not return as I resent what I consider to be opportunistic ripping off of customers.

Restaurant served a delicous food... so you need a reservation to join in here... i like the vibrants, the food, the atmosphere... a family with small kid is can dine like usual here 😬 it served a big portion of food... so better share you food with your friend..., can order 2 meal, and share with 3 person 🤣🤣🤣 but, if you can't finished it... bring it home..... but if you a big eater... have one for yourself 😝😝 but i have 1 main + 1 appertizer + teh tarik + hot water.... end up struggled to finish this big portion.... there is one saying that "Don't order/buy food when you are too hungry"....

Food was very good and well prepared, and price is reasonable. Servers were pleasant and efficient. Atmosphere is calm and enjoyable. Only downsides are tables are quite crammed together (no worse than the average for London) and venue perhaps ever so slightly dated. Would definitely go again. Food definitely worth it.
