My 1st visit here during my 1st vacation in london. Recommended by one of the Malaysian we met during our holiday. Delicious food selection. Asian and Malaysian lovers should come here. Recommended. Lovely service by the staff. Have place for prayer. However I suggest you should book and reserve table earlier since this restaurant always full with customers and a little crowded. But worth the wait hehe.

We were made to wait 35 mins for our food and were told it’s because of a large deliveroo order they were catering to. When the food did turn up, there was no sign of flavour or quality or freshness. Roti was clearly not fresh and SO oily, chicken in the chicken curry had no flavour, prawn curry was basically lemon curry. When we told the staff how we felt, we were told ‘it’s not our fault that we had a deliveroo order’. I literally cannot think of a single reason id recommend this place..

We had a very bad experience having dinner tonight. The restaurant was freezing cold. We had to ask them to turn on the heat. The table was dirty. We ordered bottled water and when we poured we found food stuck in the glass. They replaced the glass with no apologies or replacement of bottle water. The food was either salty or burnt.

At last we found a restaurant that serves quality malaysian food. We had sup ekor that was so delicious i wanted to praise the cook personally. Unlike many malay sup ekors, this one wasn't too oily and only lightly salted, the flavours were perfectly balanced. A rarity. Pajeri nenas took me back home. The rendang daging however was a crime. It tasted like an instant dish made by mixing the beef with a pre-made rendang sauce. The meat wasn't tender and didn't fall apart when pressed, the flavour just didn't come through. Luckily this didn't ruin our experience. The waiter was very friendly.

We revisited this restaurant hoping to savour homemade cooking as we did a couple of years ago, but all eight of us were terribly disappointed. The six dishes we had were bland. The service was slow. Imagine waiting for our rice when the dishes had been on the table for nearly ten minutes. Only after we reminded the waiter about the missing rice did the waiter rush to deliver. When we commented on the late service to the waitress, she blamed the kitchen with a sneer look to us.

Always come here when in London to get my Malaysian food fix. The price is expected as it's London but still reasonable when compared to other London Restaurants.. further more it's Halal..so no worries in that department. This time I tried the Oxtail soup also the Chicken Sour Egg and the fried rice. As usual it doesn't disappoint my taste buds. Additional added bonus is that it has a praying room downstairs with ablution area. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed.

It was an arduous journey to get my hands on the Sup Ekor! Was traveling to London and on the night before my last full day in London, I stumbled on a video recommending Tukdin and found out they had Sup Ekor. I haven't had that in yeaaaaaars especially since I immigrated elsewhere 5 years ago. Alas, I had a full day trip to Bath booked with reserved seatings on train. I couldn't put that off. I finally figured that I would put an uber pickup for when I got back from Bath since it's so close to Paddington... but lo and behold, the train was delayed by close to one and a half hour! I thought the sup was a goner but Nurul from Tukdin emailed with me back and forth and they ended up waiting for me to pick up the order waaaaay after they've already closed. Needless to say, Sup Ekor Pedas lived up to my expectation and more. I could say that it might be better than what I had before in Malaysia. It made everything I had to go through worth it and truly, it warmed my belly and my soul. Google review wouldn't post my review properly but FYI, I rated 5 stars for food and service and atmosphere.

The food especially the fried chicken came across bland and plain and the oxtail was alright but portion sizes were definitely small for the price. The rice and sauce add ons were plain ripoffs £4.5 pound for plain rice and £2 for a petite plate of chilli sauce. I can’t speak for the curry dishes but for the Nasi Lemak which they claim to be a flagship dish, it was quite bland although better value than other dishes on the menu. Overall came in with high hopes but was a bit disappointed.

Been here 4 times previously, I came with my mum who’s hard to please when eating outside and she loved all the dishes. Their food is packed with good flavours and the waiters are always friendly and smiling. For food recommendations; Satay Goreng 10/10 (could eat the chicken by itself with the sauce soo good) Ayam Goreng Telur Masin 10/10 (my favourite) Sup Ekor Pedas 10/10 (spicy oxtail soup was so moreish, only choose the spicy one if you’re seasoned) I’d come back to this place when the occasion calls for it because this time round the prices have increased a lot.

Tried the sea bass fish kuri along with the unmistakably exceptional Ruti canai and the creamiest fragrant coconut rice. I would recommend both with which to mop up your curry. Lemon grassy and gingery, the aromatic flavours will feel like a comforting and safe hug. My friend had the beef rendang and was a content soul. This is a hidden gem and I intend to return soon. Pobre Tukdin.

Tukdin was the culinary highlight of my recent trip to London. Malaysian laksa curry is a dish I seek out and theirs is Malaysian good, which is extremely difficult to find in many other cities, even Washington, DC, from my experience. The Laksa curry featured fresh and delicious seafood like large mussels, making it somewhat Malaysian and British fusion. Beef rendang is another favorite Malaysian dish, and I’d love to return someday to try Tukdin’s take. One thing to note is that the laksa curry is extremely spicy and during my lunchtime visit I didn’t see British diners. If you don’t enjoy very spicy food, let the staff know and they can probably direct you to a dish that suits your palate.

One of the waiters insisted that it was compulsory, and it took quite a bit of effort, including showing her the government website, to have it removed. I believe customers should have the right to decide on service charges based on their experience, without feeling pressured. This incident left a negative impression, and I hope the restaurant can provide better training to their staff to avoid such misunderstandings in the future.

Nasi Goreng KPG and Char Kuey Teow with Teh Tarik at Tuk Din Tucked away in a cozy corner of London, Tuk Din offers a slice of Malaysia for those craving authentic flavors, especially for Malaysians living far from home. On my recent visit, my friends and I had the pleasure of indulging in their Nasi Goreng KPG and Char Kuey Teow, both generously served with fresh prawns, alongside a comforting cup of buttery Teh Tarik. The Nasi Goreng KPG was a true delight. Each grain of rice was perfectly fried, slightly crispy yet fluffy, and infused with the rich flavors of spices. The prawns, fresh and succulent, added a wonderful brininess to the dish. It was simply irresistible. Then came the Char Kuey Teow. The flat rice noodles were smoky from the perfect wok hei, stir-fried to just the right texture—soft yet with a bit of bite. Again, the prawns were the star, each one plump and tender, with the flavors of soy, chili, and garlic enveloping the dish. Every mouthful was a harmonious balance of sweet, savory, and a hint of spice. To complete the meal, the Teh Tarik was a showstopper in its own right. Creamy and smooth, the tea had just the right amount of froth, with a subtle buttery finish that left a lingering warmth. It was the perfect companion to the rich, savory dishes, adding a touch of sweetness to the meal. The ambience at Tuk Din is nothing short of homely. The intimate space, adorned with traditional Malaysian décor, makes you feel like you’ve been transported to a kampung kitchen. It’s the kind of place where Malaysians far from home can find solace in familiar flavors. The warmth doesn’t just come from the food, but also from the top-notch customer service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to make sure each customer felt at home. For Malaysians abroad, Tuk Din isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a comforting reminder of home, a place where the taste of Malaysia is as warm and inviting as the service. Whether it’s the perfectly cooked nasi goreng or the smoky char kuey teow, this is a must-visit spot to indulge in delicious, authentic flavors while being embraced by the warmth of home. Well done Tuk Din

Nice local place very close to Paddington station. The food we tried was very good, good flavours and substantial portions. Some of the supposedly spicy dishes could have been spicier, but presumably, they are catering to local tastes. Service was reactive and friendly but seemingly confused. We were given a different dish from what we ordered, a mistake which they corrected after we flagged it to them. The same thing happened to the table next to us. We also ordered drinks which never arrived. We didn't ask for them as we were ok not to have them, but the drinks were still charged in the bill. Overall, we left sated and happy with what we ate. Got takeaway Nasi Lemak and Mee Mamak. Very impressed. Quality and authentic flavours are all there. Good portion size. Very friendly staff. Toilets could be better though. All in all highly recommended

Tukdin brings a slice of Malaysian culinary tradition to London with an array of authentic dishes that transport you to the coastal villages and bustling markets of Malaysia. During my visit, I sampled the Keropok Lekor and Nasi Goreng Kampung, both of which showcased the rich flavours and distinctive character of Malaysian cuisine. **Keropok Lekor (£9.90)** These traditional fish snacks were a delightful start to the meal. Originating from the coastal villages of Malaysia, the Keropok Lekor had a firm yet tender texture, bursting with the savoury taste of fish. They were served with a sweet and spicy chilli sauce, which complemented the snack perfectly, adding a kick without overwhelming the palate. At £9.90, the portion was generous and well worth the price, providing an authentic taste of Malaysian street food. **Nasi Goreng Kampung (£14.90)** The Nasi Goreng Kampung was a standout dish, epitomising the essence of Malaysian village-style cuisine. This very spicy fried rice was uniquely characterised by its dark brown, caramelised rice, which had a deep, smoky flavour. The spiciness was intense yet balanced, appealing to those who enjoy a bit of heat in their meals. The dish was enriched with eggs, adding richness and texture. Priced at £14.90, it was a hearty and satisfying main course that left a lasting impression. **Overall Experience** Tukdin successfully captures the spirit of Malaysian home cooking, with each dish reflecting the rich culinary heritage of the region. The flavours were bold and authentic, and the presentation was inviting. The service was attentive and friendly, enhancing the dining experience. Whether you’re familiar with Malaysian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Tukdin offers a genuine and delightful taste journey that’s well worth exploring

This is a nice local place with good food. We had a Laksa and a Char Kway Teow, both of which were very good, with my preference leaning towards the Char Kway Teow. The Satay chicken was a starter and you can see how much we got. The portion sizes are quite substantial so you'll get a lot for your money! The iced milk tea was fantastic too. The service was good.

Comida inusual. Buen servicio. Pequeño comedor eco. Comida Halal.

The food here is great. The pho reminds me of my go to breakfast when I was in Vietnam and their homemade green sauce is a fantastic addition but they won't sell me a bottle so I guess I will just have to keep coming back.
