It goes back to 1988 when I had a few dinners at this restaurant, and I saw Jack Nicholson haven fun and dinner did not have a iPhone in those days so I could take a picture. Hollywood stars would book tables for dinner in those days form NY 🙏 The owner Mr Saloo Salahuddin used to chat with me I loved the food I talked to the owner, Mr. Saloo who had the restaurant in Lahore Pakistan and opened up this restaurant and he shared amazing stories that when he tried to open this restaurant he faced a lot of opposition as this area was an exclusive area of the rich 7 minutes walk from Harrods It used to be an Italian restaurant which got burnt so he tried to open up Pakistan restaurant after long opposition. Actually he had to fix the place with extra exhausts as people in that area did not want Curry smell 😂 He also stated categorically stated that this was a Pakistani restaurant and people asked him what is the difference between Indian restaurants and Pakistan restaurants and he said with we eat cows, but 80% of Indians do not eat cow because they worship them. Pakistani food is different There was a big roar in the press but it because first top 20 restaurants in Europe Today I revisited the restaurant Has not changed much in size , but the food is still fantastic. Specially, the lamb chops. Met his Daughter and Son in law who own the restaurant now Saloos still a beautiful restaurant, beautiful ambience, and the best area.

L’ingresso è piccolo e si viene subito accolti da signora gentilissima che ci ha fatto accomodare. Locale intimo e silenzioso, luci basse. Menu ampio, piatti saporiti e curati. Abbiamo scelto due piatti di pollo con zenzero e altri aromi accompagnati da pane naan e melanzane. Ottimo anche il gelato. Bravi bravi bravi

I used to visit Salloos regularly twenty years ago and stopped because it was over priced. I went to Salloos last night and while it was still extremely overproduced, the quality of the food has declined precipitously. I will not be returning to Salloos.

We visited Harrods and searched for Indian cuisine nearby. We ended up here at this restaurant. The ambience is nice..The dining room is on the second floor. We can smell the spices and decided to stay. The food is extremely expensive for what we received… I ordered the lentils; they were puréed; spicy hot to my taste but had no salt and no other flavor. The pulao rice was good and complimented the lentils but ultimately this was just some lentils with rice for about £25. Everything is a la carte and they don’t offer the traditional Nan with mango chutney, yogurt and spices. This place is overrated, expensive and I definitely will not come back here nor do I recommend it. Looking for food with harmony and satisfaction? Well NOT HERE

Found this restaurant tucked away in the Knightsbridge area - honestly London's best kept secret! Had the Tandoori Lamb Chops, Chicken Shish Kebab, and Lamb curry; was not disappointed. If you’re looking for a quiet place with amazing food and drinks in central London, you will love Salloos!

Had an impromptu dinner here with friends and was absolutely superb. The chicken tikka especially was one of the best I've had in London and I've tried many tikkas over the years. Slightly more expensive than your local curry house but not exorbitantly so and so very good food and flavour wise. Nice venue to with great staff, I definitely want to go back and savour more of the menu. We were 4 and so had a fairly wide selection. Alongside the tikkas I also enjoyed the keema nan, Lamb chops and other kebab orders. The curries were also good.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Knightsbridge. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in London. Highly recommend and cannot wait to be back!

Some of the best and most authentic desi food that will give even the biggest of traditionalists that home away from home feeling! Whether you get hit with the warmest of smiles from Yoko at the bar, or one of Mr. Qureshi’s most Karachi of nods as you make your way upstairs; if Mr. Hussain gets you marvelling over how he never skips a beat to refill a glass the moment you empty it, or just how authentic the naan from the tandoor or the gajar ka halwa is, an evening at Salloo’s leaves you with that warm, goody feeling that gets you to keep coming back!

This is the best Pakistani restaurant I had. We have been going to this restaurant for the past 20 years we even invite friends who love Asian food. This is a small restaurant run by family. The owner is the nicest woman I have ever met, She is always welcoming and smiling and very hospitable. The food is always delicious. Not to be missed.

We found this gem thru Google Maps. The restaurant is so quaint. The host was very welcoming. We didn't have reservations, but she greeted us with such a friendly approach. We are a party of 4, so we decided to have a family sharing style. All our food was prepared fresh and all very tasty. The serving portion is ok (maybe we are so used to US standards, haha). But service is the highlight of our visit. Try this restaurant, you will not be disappointed! We met the lady owner of the restaurant as well. All the best, Salloos ~

Could be one of the bestest restaurants in London. The food is just hugs you. The manager Gurashi, is the best. We even offered us half portions to try some plates out and we ended up going again because of that.

Below average food. Typical case of restaurant being in an expensive area and food below par, prices are ridiculously high, almost insane. Just a few miles away, you can get top quality Pakistani authentic food for fraction of the price. Biggest joke is daal with naan for £18.95. What a rip off..

Wonderful restaurant! A true favorite for us in London.

We arrived to be greeted by the family owners with a big smile and very friendly service, shown to our table and for the less knowledgeable in our group given a full run down of the menu and what would be most suitable for our tastes. Every dish that arrived was fantastic and left us all wanting more despite being so full! The staff were excellent all the way through our meal making sure we had everything and more that we wanted. Thoroughly enjoyed and would strongly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious authentic meal.

I went there expecting to eat good food. The restaurant is set up to deceive you. First off the menu seems nice enough but set with expensive prices, so of course you expect nice food. However this was not the case. A korma came which looked like soup it was so watery and bland. The palak spinach dish was vile I nearly puked. When I had complained to the manager about the korma the comment was ‘well this is our best korma’ and was extremely rude and impolite. The prawn Karahi tasted like I was drinking a ginger shot with every bite. I can’t believe what they charge for such disgusting food and service. Afterwards I felt so I’ll. ready meal curries are better than this place.

The most outstanding Pakistani food .. lovely ambience … do order the seekh kebab and lamb chops! The Nargisi kofta with butter garlic naan was to die for! Everything on the menu is superb! Have to come back for more!! Very close to Harrods!

I ate here recently and was very excited because of past experiences, having been a regular here for many years. Unfortunately Salloos did not live up to expectations. The food was average. The prices certainly aren't. Will think twice about eating here again with so many other options now available.

I had visited on 12 august and I wanted to get a table to order some kulfi. I was denied a table and they said sorry you can’t order kulfi and that I should go to a supermarket around the corner to get kulfi. This is humiliation and outright disrespectful. I would give this place negative stars if I could. This seems like a weird policy decision whereby they seek to decide to give you a table based on what you want to order. Absolutely absurd!

Door locked and no rice provided with my meal

I have dined at Salloos many times and the food remains sublime. The food has rich, intense flavour, and it is clear that care is taken with the quality of the ingredients. Yes, the lamb chops are good, but the lamb kebabs were even better and the dhal was standout. Service was good and the wine list was not unreasonably priced. One wouldn’t expect less for Belgravia/Knightsbridge so it will be expensive. Heartily recommended.

Its been couple of years since I had my last dinner here, they still maintaining a good quality of food and service, the portions were good, the staff were attentive, the prices is on the higher side a bit.

Amazing authentic food here. Just very very good with high standard of produce. The venue is more like eating in a family dining room so may not be for everyone but they do offer collection/ delivery within range. And so far the delivered food has matched the in house experience which is impressive and suggests high level of service and integrity behind this institution that is Salloos. Will be ordering here more regularly when back in town. Recommend gosht khara masala , chicken korma ( beautifully mild and made with yakhini) , lamb karahi, biryani, fluffiest bread. Amazing and looking forward to try some other dishes next time

We went to this restaurant just yesterday. Very comfortable and traditional seating and set up.Very warm welcome. Food is overpriced and has very average taste. Minimal options for children. No desi hot/cold drinks. Minimal options in desserts and that too over priced. There is better taste and options available when in London unless you are too lazy to go else where and want to pay a fortune towards running expenses of this place.

Last week I went on a date to Salloos in Knightsbridge. The atmosphere was elegant. For starters we had lovely seeded poppadoms, jumbo tandoori king prawns, and for our main chicken shish kebab served from an iron skewer, lamb curry, their signature chicken karahi, pulao rice and lovely red wine to go with😌 The best Pakistani food I have ever had! Will definitely be going back. It’s a wonderful place for a romantic dinner. Hidden gem in the heart of Belgravia. It’s on a little side walk right opposite the Berkeley hotel so it can easily be missed!

I visited Salloos for an evening meal with friends and the food was exceptional. The staff were all incredibly attentive and friendly and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. The portion sizes were generous and the food was delicious, full of flavour and the meat was very tender. I will be looking to return with friends again very soon. A great spot for couples, friends or business trips. Thanks Salloos for such a great meal and evening.

Me and my friend went eating in this well established Pakistan restaurant in Knightsbridge and it didn’t disappoint at all. The food was absolutely delicious: you must try their signature lamb chops and the chicken shish kebab as the meat was incredibly tender. The service was impeccable and we loved the intimate atmosphere of the place. Prices are high, so bare this in mind but everything else was wow!!

AMAZING & tasty food. A friend living in Knightsbridge who loves eating out & ordering many takeaways as I do, recommended Salloos. I was amazed to learn Salloos has been open since 1976 & somehow I have missed it! My son & I recently decided to try their food, ordered a takeaway and tried a few of their dishes, all simply tasted the best Pakistani & Indian we have ever had, with so much flavour. Regular customer now that we have tried their fresh & delicious tasty food. Can’t wait for Lockdown to be over to eat there. Highly recommend if you are a food lover, like us!

I am a fan of homemade, traditional cooking and by far this is the best Pakistani restaurant I have been to. Salloos is the perfect restaurant to dine at after a long day of shopping. It is incredibly cosy yet chic and clean, the staff is also very welcoming. Most important of all the food is absolutely delicious. I am now a regular customer and as it is just by Berkeley hotel, we usually pop into the famous blue bar after dining at Salloos. During this time I also order takeaways which is just as enjoyable. I recommend with all my heart!

Hands down the best lockdown delivery meal we have had! Delivered exactly on time (8.44pm for an 8.45pm delivery) and completely delicious. The Murgh Korma and King Prawn Karahi should not be missed.

Was unable to dine at the restaurant so surprised to receive request to complete review. Cancelled our booking as the person who made the reservation was rude and inhospitable when I rang to try and move reservation back by 30mins. They had space, she just insisted that I knew “how to control my children.” I’m fully aware that they do have a no children policy after a certain time- not relevant in this case as was booked with that in mind. Perhaps have a complete no children policy if they’re that afraid of them. Disappointed as wanted to try the place. Ate at Bombay Bustle that same evening instead. Great food and fantastic service. And the children were “controlled.”

Visited Salloos for a much needed, post lockdown, meal. A bit off the beaten track, I don't think we'd have found it if we didn't already know it existed. The food, overall, was very nice but the poppadoms are a definite no no. Other than that, though a bit pricey, it was worth it.

I've had many North Indian takeaways and never been quite satisfied until now! I discovered Salloos when I searched for the best Pakistani takeaway near me. Let me tell you, every dish was so flavourful! Especially the Chicken Shish kebab and Bhuna Gosht. It's well worth paying the price for this quality food. The free delivery offer was an added bonus! 1 happy customer :)

I have been ordering from Salloos multiple times per week for takeaway over the past couple of months and i just cannot get enough! Salloos has the best and most authentic Pakistani cuisine in London, the food is spectacular and the staff are very friendly and helpful over the phone when ordering. I recommend in particular the Chicken Karahi, Daal, Bhuna Gosht and Palak Gosht.

Delicious luxurious fresh and spicy curries like my dad used to make. Addicted to the spinach palak, biagan aubergine and chicken Karhi!

We wouldn’t recommend this place. Even though people are nice. But they will charge you crazy price for things you didn’t even order. They bring to you for example with dips Cracker, they offer you when you sit down and then they charge you for that. The food quality and taste was as it was boiled , very minimum spices. I understand the restaurant is in expensive area. The prices are high but please at least provide good food 🥘 and fair prices. Don’t trick people into paying. I’m sorry but our experience has been awful.

This is the worst restaurant we have been too, bland food, poor service, no value for money. We had to ask for napkins and guess what a can of coke is 5.00 pounds. Will never go back awful food and service.

Hot, hot spicy nicely cooked tasty food if you are into spicy food. Very cosy and quiet place, good for families and most attentive manager. Never disappoints.

I know Salloos is very expensive. I know they have a strict children policy. But you get what you pay for. Outstanding personal service, good food, served personally by staff that really care. One star taken off as parking near there can be expensive and troublesome - and of course the pricing - but for a special event, the cosy atmosphere and impeccable service is worth it.

Lugar encantador escondido en una calle tranquila a unos diez minutos a pie de Harrods. Servicio encantador y profesional. Comida deliciosa. Encantador naan hinchado. Sabroso pero no demasiado picante, picante. Ambiente tranquilo, servicio rápido pero ambiente relajado. Nos sentíamos como si estuviéramos entretenidos en una graciosa casa familiar.

Ubicado cerca del Hotel Berkeley, tiene buena comida y servicio. Teníamos sus chuletas de cordero (excelente) y langostinos tandoori (bueno) como entrantes. Habíamos pedido el Raan, que era suculento, pero no muy sabroso. El daal y las espinacas estaban muy bien. La selección de vinos es suficiente. Los postres eran pasables.

Encantado de descubrir que Salloos todavía servía el mismo alto nivel de comida que la última vez que estuve aquí hace más de diez años, un gran logro para cualquier restaurante. El ambiente y la decoración de este pequeño restaurante lo convierten en uno de mis favoritos en Londres. Salloos es un restaurante tranquilo también donde puedes escucharte hablar sin levantar la voz.
