Banana Tree never disappoints when it comes to taste and consistency. We’ve tried their Greenwich and Soho branch and both have delivered on taste and service. They’ve great Vegan/Vegetarian options, I love the Tofu Pad Thai with Vegan crackers! Can’t wait to be back :)

Second time here, food has been delicious. The authentic sauces, aroma — a proper culinary experience while getting the flavour of street food. Iveta was attentive and recommended some sauces we should try. Fantastic experience as always, highly recommend!

Staff were friendly, food was good. My order of beer was forgotten after at least three reminders, including once AFTER food was served. The reason of 2 stars is because after that mistake, the staff had the balls to hide the “discretionary service charge” that was added by default by folding the receipt right above where that was written and hiding it.

This was our first time at Banana Tree. We were impressed by the menu and went in. Here we were greeted in a very friendly manner and treated with understanding. Praised how well we can speak English and given really good advice and conditions. The food was really delicious. I can really recommend it. The toilets are also very clean.

Amazing pan Asian food .. the sauces and flavors were amazing. We tried the chicken dumplings - they were really good and the sauce was Amazing We tried their Pad Thai noodles - it was really good and chilli sauce was full of Flavors Amazing experience!!

Considering we dine in a number of pan Asian/south east Asian restaurants, the food was mediocre at best. Considering the 4.5* reviews I was expecting more from the food but felt that it was a bit bland. 🔹Food service could hav been faster. Came on a Monday evening and the place was relatively quiet. We therefore expected a faster service but it took quite a while to get our mains as well as the desserts. 🔹Lacked flavour - Ordered the pad Thai and the banana tree spiced noodles and I felt like it was lacking flavour. The spiced noodles is supposed to be spicy but I couldn't taste the spicyness at all - tell a lie, I did when I had the piece of chilli! 🔹Mango rice pudding was very disappointing. Probably the worst I have ever tried. The consistency wasn't right and needed more flavour. The ice cream overpowered the taste of the mango. The portion was small but honestly it wouldn't have been an issue if it tasted good. 🔹The pancakes were ok. Unfortunately no 'wow' factor but it was definitely much better than the rice pudding. We personally wouldn't be going back as I felt that it was good value for money and considering the wait (in an almost empty restaurant) we were left a bit frustrated.

Alex was very polite, friendly and her customer service was very good. She did everything to attend to us and made sure she checked in between meal to see that we were satisfied. I will definitely recommend Banana Tree to family and friends.

Ugh. Expensive for basic food Uninteresting cocktails The only plus is that it's in the heart of Soho and with a (basic) children's menu.

food is all halal, food was lovely and tasted amazing, service was very good, Paula and Alex were very helpful with the food arriving in time for Iftar as we were observing Ramadan, in short: great place to dine with family or by yourself.

A bit pricey for what it is, but the 241 cocktails are good value. Surprisingly quiet on a Sunday lunchtime for the location. Also, was promised a shot for writing a positive review so not sure if this is positive enough as the shot never came 😂The service was friendly enough.

The waitress lady with a pony tail quite short Asian looking, was extremely rude to me. Firstly the table they gave had no cutlery and when asked for she shoved the cutlery cup at my face. When I took the cup from her she shouted at me “just 1”. I found that extremely rude and she needs to go learn some manners and because of this I won’t be attending this branch again. Food was good though. It is also always extremely busy however you don’t have to wait long to get a table.

You should eat the food which contains Mango and chicken

The seats are so close together that you’re basically sat with strangers.

Great place with delicious food. You should definitely try the mango sticky rice, this is one of the absolute best desserts i’ve tried in my life. They have vegetarian and vegan options as well

Really nice food, the meat was really tender and juicy! The cocktails are ooookay, but it’s not a cocktail bar, so it’s okay :) The restaurant itself is pretty, but a bit loud, that’s why we’ll give only 4 stars. Iveta was our waitress and was really kind. Would totally recommend this place!

I called to enquire about the approximate wait time and an incredibly rude guy with an asian / Indian accent answered the phone and said I can’t travel in time and predict and he actually had the nerve to hang up while I was still talking! 😆 I haven’t even visited and I got the worst experience!! Came in summer - took 2 hours all in all to get starters and food Came again in winter - same situation again. The waiter admitted to being understaffed and especially busy today. Prices are high but service is extremely poor. Not down to waiters but the extremely tight person who is hiring 2 rather than 4 people and saving labour costs!

The pad thai was good, but the Long Island cocktail we ordered tasted like iced tea mixed with cola. There was no taste of alcohol at all, even though this drink is based on five different spirits. Additionally, the waitress told us that they only had small glass bottles of water, so she brought those to us. However, five minutes later, I noticed that at least four other tables had large bottles of water to share. I believe this restaurant scams tourists. I do not recommend it! At the bar next door, every other cocktail actually tasted like it had alcohol. When we mentioned this to the waiter, he felt embarrassed and didn’t charge us for the service.

Unfortunately the chicken was cold, when they offered to take it away to cook a ‘fresh meal’ it came back reheated and my guest had already finished. They failed to also bring the whole order. The manager was disinterested in my complaint and I had to ask for an apology which he reluctantly gave.

Gorgeous I have nothing to say Nothing to add even Really handsome guy Halal The gojubang chicken bowl is excellent for spicy lovers 😉 My colleague (banker) chose classic sweet&sour chicken which is just as exquisite and succulent The steamed chicken dumpling (gyoza) actually triggered pudendal vasodilation in me Well done I rarely comment but here I recommend with my eyes closed Well maybe I did a little too much but in reality it was good

Lovely food and great chef. My wife accidentally dropped her wedding ring down the sink in the bathroom. The chef called Islam was very helpful and went above and beyond to dismantle the sink and search for my wife’s ring, which after a while thank God he managed to recover.

10 out of 10 for a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were perfect. Highly recommend eating at the Banana Tree. We had the Thai green curry, Pad Thai and the Sinapore Laksa. The flavours were authentic and aromatic. Will definitely eat there again!

Great food, great service and great vegan options! We had the vegan gyoza, sweetcorn fritters (a must), tofu laksa and tofu pad thai. Honestly, really blown away by the flavours and variety of options we had. The service from Iveta was excellent and she was super helpful and attentive. Highly recommended 🥰

The service doesn’t get much worse than here! The staff are so rude. One threw our starter down on the table as she rushed past with plates for other tables. When we paid the waiter just walked off, no thank you or goodbye or even a smile. One was even blocking the entrance to the toilets on his phone! Really disappointed overall.

Just came back from a visit here. Have been plenty of times before and had a good experience but tonight was awful. Food was good but service was so bad. Could hardly get a word out of anyone. We had to ask for plates for our starter and it was just thrown down on our table without any word. When we paid (and did pay the optional service charge) the waiter didn’t say anything at all - no thank you or pleasantries. Just took the payment and walked off. Disappointing!
