Pan Asían menu. Food was good. Atmosphère OK for a chain restaurant. Service poor. The waitress had no sense of humour. When I told her to round up the bill to £50 she didn't tell me that an optional service charge had already been included. I ended up tipping £8.75 for a meal which came to £41.25. A 21% tip. Won't be going there again!

Dived in here before theatre to z packed restaurant but they didn't turn us away. Knew we only had an hour to eat and managed to feed and "water" the three of us with a delicious meal. The waitres was attentive and very considerate

We had not made a reservation, but after waiting for half an hour, during which we could first sit one by one at the bar or by the window, we were eventually assigned a large table. The service was incredibly helpful. One of our travel companions was even offered a charger because his phone was dead, so he could charge it. The food was truly delicious. It is advisable to book in advance before going here.

Delicious Asian Fusion Restaurant in SoHo, the food came quickly, the staff was nice & accommodating. Lots of vegan options. If you want to have lunch here, you don't need to make a reservation.

Food was okay, not that great. But nice venue. The steak and noodles dish I got wasn't that nice, the steak was cold and chewy. The other veg dishes were good enough though so no complaints.

Excellent cuisine, hearty dishes, well spiced and very fragrant. Very friendly waiters. For dessert, the Crispy Apple Coconut Rolls….a delight!

Gorgeous, definitely will be back. Great for vegetarians and vegans too. Alex and Iveta were lovely. Food fresh (& speedy) . We had adult meals and kids. The tofu laksa was to die for. Kids loved the vegan katsu. Only thing was our blue light discount. It can be used for 6 people but only on a table of 6. We booked for 10 with two cards but because the table was for ten not six, this caused problems. This needs to be clearer. Lovely visit overall

By London standards, and having tasted a lot of Malaysian, Singaporean, and Thai cuisines, we can not say that Banana Tree's dishes are a standout. We ordered Rendang Beef, Singaporean Laksa, Massaman, Phad Thai, Katsu Curry, and Singapore Noodles -- all of the dishes were acceptable, but nothing was a "wow". For example: ■ The rendang beef was moist and tenderly cooked, but the flavour just fell short of the deep spices and rich depth that one would expect. ■ The Singaporean laksa was somewhat tasty but could have been thicker with the noodles cooked longer such that the soup 'clings' to the noodles more to create a strong blend. As it was, the noodles felt detached from the watery laksa soup. ■ We felt that the starters were pricey and a letdown, unfortunately. Satay wasn't really satay. And the Thai calamari felt like a damp squid. Overall, the restaurant had a good atmosphere. It was busy, and staff tried hard to be attentive, which we appreciated. The food is just about pleases but doesn't reach a level of authenticity associated with the different Asian cuisines.

We were visiting London for a few days and we loved eating here. Everything was super delicious! And Doris's attention is 10 💛 I would return without hesitation for another curry. We loved the cocktails too!

Sadly we didn’t have a great experience at banana tree. We had pre booked but unfortunately the restaurant claimed our booking had been cancelled (we received no email/call). They ‘squeezed’ us in, and nobody came to offer us a drink for >30 minutes. Food arrived on the table 1h20 after us arriving & they wanted the table back 20 minutes later. The food was average - I had the steak teriyaki and the steak itself was dry.

Iveta really looked after us well. The food was tasty and the portion sizes were good.

Didn't have high expectations as we just passed by and decided to walk in, but we had such a good time. Food is really tasty, and they have 'happy hour' for cocktails. Reasonable peices for Soho.

The whole experience was great but what made it even better was the fantastic service from Shamil. He was super professional, I was asking many questions as I haven’t been here in a while and he so was knowledgeable about all the food. He even gave us some suggestions. As a pescatarian, I find the menu very wide and inclusive, as well with veggie options. I was served by a host named Shamil, and I found him very nice and welcoming. He made the whole atmosphere very friendly as well.

Staffs forgot requests most of the time. Tableware is not well cleaned. Taste is normal.

It was a great experience that we had at Banana Leaf. Right from the time we entered, the ambience the food and till the time we left the experience was truly awesome. Deepanshu, took care of us and he ensured that all our requests were addressed and most importantly he served with a smile. Will highly recommend Banana Leaf to all who are visiting London.

The food was delicious, but being near the main doors made it quite cold for us. To improve the experience, it might be beneficial to adjust the seating arrangements. Additionally, lowering the volume of the music could create a more comfortable atmosphere for conversation.
